Far-left Democratic presidential candidate Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) expectedly and easily took his home state of Vermont on Super Tuesday, polling from <a href="https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/polls/president-primary-d/vermont/">FiveThirtyEight</a> indicates.
Sanders will gain a total of 16 delegates from the Vermont win.
<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/heres-everything-you-need-to-know-about-super-tuesday">Super Tuesday</a> states included: Alabama, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, and Virginia. As noted by <a href="https://www.marketwatch.com/story/biden-wins-virginia-sanders-takes-vermont-networks-project-as-super-tuesday-results-begin-pouring-in-2020-03-03">MarketWatch</a>, &#8220;Residents of U.S. territory American Samoa and Democrats abroad will also cast their ballots.&#8221;

Democrat Rep. Ilhan Omar (MN) suggested on Wednesday that Trump supporters might use violence against Somali migrants, while she brushed off a massive Somali-connected fraud scandal in Minnesota that cost taxpayers billions of dollars.
Omar <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2025/12/03/us/video/donald-trump-immigration-somali-somalia-ice-deportation-border-illegal-jake-tapper-lead">told</a> CNN host Jake Tapper that Trump&#8217;s comments about the fraud scandal, and, in particular, Somali immigrants, &#8220;creates fear.&#8221;
&#8220;And there is a possible danger that a lot of the people who follow the president have exhibited violence in many cases, especially in my case, whenever he has said something about me that is derogatory or says I&#8217;m a threat to the country, I have gotten death threats,&#8221; the Democrat said.
&#8220;There are so many people that have been incarcerated over the years that have been encouraged by the president&#8217;s words,&#8221; Omar claimed. &#8220;And so there is fear for Somalis, not just in Minnesota, but across the country, that some of these people might attack and harm them.&#8221;
&#8220;And so, to me, it is important for us, one, to remind folks that we are Americans,&#8221; she added. &#8220;We’re not going anywhere, and we will continue to be in this country. And two, that Minnesotans are resilient, and we will continue to thrive.&#8221;
Further, Omar brushed off the fraud scandal when she was pressed about its concentration in Minnesota by Tapper. The rep merely blamed a lack of &#8220;guardrails&#8221; because the schemes started during COVID, though Omar notably did not condemn the fraud during the segment.
The fraud scheme in Minnesota deals with billions of stolen taxpayer dollars during the tenure of Democrat Gov. Tim Walz. Notably, it&#8217;s been largely tied to the Somali community, and some stolen money was allegedly funneled to Al-Shabaab terrorists, according to <a href="https://www.city-journal.org/article/minnesota-welfare-fraud-somalia-al-shabaab">City Journal</a>.

Trump on Tuesday railed against Somali migrants, who he said &#8220;ripped off&#8221; taxpayers and, generally, contribute &#8220;nothing&#8221; to the U.S., citing a welfare rate of 88%.
&#8220;I hear &#8230; Somalians ripped off that state for billions of dollars, billions, every year,&#8221; the president said. &#8220;And they contribute nothing. Their welfare [rate] is like 88% — they contribute nothing.&#8221;
&#8220;I don&#8217;t want &#8217;em in our country, I&#8217;ll be honest with you. Some will say, &#8216;Oh, that&#8217;s not politically correct.&#8217; I don&#8217;t care,&#8221; Trump continued. &#8220;I don&#8217;t want them in our country.&#8221;

Referring to Omar and &#8220;her friends,&#8221; Trump added, &#8220;These aren&#8217;t people who work; these aren&#8217;t people who say, &#8216;Let&#8217;s go, let&#8217;s make this place great.&#8217; These are people who do nothing but complain, and from where they came from, they got nothing.&#8221;

Reacting to Trump&#8217;s comments, Omar claimed Trump often uses &#8220;very bigoted, xenophobic, Islamophobic, racist rhetoric.&#8221;
&#8220;I’m not shocked, because we know that the president oftentimes resorts to very bigoted, xenophobic, Islamophobic, racist rhetoric when he is trying to scapegoat and deflect from the actual failures that he has himself,&#8221; she said. &#8220;We know that this administration has not fulfilled the majority of the promises that they’ve made, whether it is bringing costs down, whether it is the tariffs that are decimating businesses in the United States, whether it is the possible war crimes that his defense secretary is committing.&#8221;

Ilhan Omar Says Trump Supporters Might Attack Somalis, Brushes Off Fraud Scandal

On the heels of an alleged Somali-connected billion-dollar welfare fraud scandal in Minnesota, Democrat Gov. Tim Walz (MN) just unleashed one of the most insane 20-week paid family and medical leave programs in the nation, which is apparently open to &#8220;undocumented&#8221; workers, too.
The program allows workers to take up to 20 weeks of paid leave each year for various reasons, and it generally guarantees that their job will be protected upon their return. It&#8217;s also largely paid for by employers, through what&#8217;s effectively a payroll tax.
The state-run program, which takes effect on January 1, 2026, is generating tremendous criticism, especially in light of the recent Somali-tied fraud scandal that allegedly culminated in billions of stolen tax dollars, some of which were allegedly funneled to Al-Shabaab terrorists, according to <a href="https://www.city-journal.org/article/minnesota-welfare-fraud-somalia-al-shabaab">City Journal</a>. Critics note that the fraud occurred under Walz&#8217;s nose and view this coming program as fertile ground for fraudsters.
&#8220;Minnesota&#8217;s new Paid Family and Medical Leave Law, which allows up to 20 weeks of leave and paid benefits, will take effect starting Jan. 1, 2026,&#8221; FOX 9 reported this week. &#8220;You can take paid leave to care for yourself during serious health conditions, like surgery, injury, a chronic condition, pregnancy, and childbirth, and other health needs certified by your provider.&#8221;
&#8220;For family leave, it covers bonding with a child through birth, adoption, or foster placement, caring for a family member with a serious health issue, supporting a military family member called for active duty, or responding to a safety issue, including domestic violence, sexual assault, or stalking, for you or a family member,&#8221; the post said.
&#8220;The law will provide up to 20 weeks of paid leave per year for eligible employees, including 12 weeks of personal medical leave and 12 weeks of family leave, both capped at 20 weeks total,&#8221; FOX 9 added.

Republican Minnesota Rep. Walter Hudson said the program will destroy small businesses, and noted that it&#8217;s wildly broad.
&#8220;We&#8217;re one month out from destroying small business in Minnesota, unleashing a fresh wave of fraud where 30 people can claim time off to &#8216;take care&#8217; of the same random person they have &#8216;affinity&#8217; with,&#8221; he wrote.

Notably, the program also seems to include illegal immigrants, since immigration status is not a requirement. A website for the state expressly <a href="https://www.mnchamber.com/are-you-ready-paid-family-and-medical-leave-pfml-minnesota">states</a> that &#8220;Undocumented workers, youth workers, and new workers are also covered.&#8221;
Defense attorney William Shipley emphasized the burden for small businesses.
&#8220;The details of this program are so stupid it makes me laugh until I hurt. Up to 20 weeks off a year — PAID,&#8221; he <a href="https://x.com/shipwreckedcrew/status/1996271494125810000">wrote</a> on X. &#8220;The employee is paid by the State, BUT it is funded by a new premium paid by Employers based on their overall payroll.&#8221;
&#8220;So BUSINESSES in Minn. now have a new payroll expense them must fund — it&#8217;s a payroll tax,&#8221; Shipley said. Employees in Minnesota could also pay a portion of the program, depending on the employer.
When small businesses lose employees for potentially five months or so in one single year, the employee &#8220;MUST be given their job back when they return, regardless if they had to be replaced by a new hire to do the job in their absence,&#8221; Shipley said. There are apparently exceptions to this, according to the state&#8217;s website, but they are not clarified.

When Walz was asked about the program being open to fraud, especially given recent circumstances, the Democrat suggested the question was &#8220;disrespectful&#8221; to Minnesotans.

Tim Walz Just Unleashed A Paid Leave Plan For Minnesota That Includes Illegal Immigrants

Democrat Gov. Josh Shapiro (PA) went scorched earth on failed presidential candidate Kamala Harris this week, when he heard — seemingly for the first time — what she wrote about Shapiro in her then-unpublished memoir.
Shapiro, who was once considered to be Harris&#8217; running mate, bluntly stated that the former VP told &#8220;blatant lies&#8221; about him and said she was trying to &#8220;cover her *ss&#8221; and &#8220;sell books.&#8221;
Harris claims in &#8220;107 Days&#8221; that Shapiro was overbearing and suggests he wanted to be a co-president if they won the election.
Shapiro had &#8220;mused that he would want to be in the room for every decision,” Harris also says, adding that this made her tell Shapiro that “a vice president is not a co-president.”
Harris also wrote that she questioned if Shapiro “would be unable to settle for a role as number two and that it would wear on our partnership.”
During an <a href="https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/2025/12/josh-shapiro-pennsylvania-trump-president-election/684991/?gift=cHrwJAzy2nnCJKPvBwa_LO1BZWUFSTjotKSD05I4z-g">interview</a> with The Atlantic, Shapiro was told about these comments, which were apparently unbeknownst to him at the time. “I did ask a bunch of questions,&#8221; he reacted. &#8220;Wouldn’t you ask questions if someone was talking to you about forming a partnership and working together?”

Shapiro was also told that Harris wrote that the governor asked her residence manager how many bedrooms were in the vice-presidential residence and was curious if the Smithsonian might work with him to loan Pennsylvania art for the house.
Those comments, according to The Atlantic, set off Shapiro.

“That’s complete and utter bullsh*t,” Shapiro said. “I can tell you that her accounts are just blatant lies.”
Asked if he felt betrayed by Harris, Shapiro continued to go off: “I mean, she’s trying to sell books and cover her *ss,” he said. “I shouldn’t say ‘cover her *ss.’ I think that’s not appropriate … She’s trying to sell books. Period.”

Harris performed incredibly poorly in her 2024 run for the White House against President Donald Trump. She decided against Shapiro as her VP pick, and instead chose Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D), who tanked a debate against Vice President JD Vance. Walz was also plagued by past scandals during the campaign.
Some speculated at the time that Harris opted for Walz over Shapiro since the latter is Jewish, which wouldn&#8217;t sit well with far-Left Democrats who are anti-Israel or even antisemitic.

‘Trying To Cover Her *ss’: Democrat Gov Rips Kamala Harris For ‘Blatant Lies’

Former President Barack Obama on Monday took a victory lap over the absolute debacle that is Obamacare, the healthcare reform package he championed and signed into law in 2010.
Signing the Affordable Care Act (ACA) — informally dubbed Obamacare — into law was the one moment from his days in the White House that Obama said gave him goosebumps.
“That was a good day,&#8221; he said of the bill signing, <a href="https://crystalbridges.org/calendar/building-bridges-a-conversation-with-president-barack-obama/?utm_source=chatgpt.com">speaking</a> at an event hosted by Walmart Heiress Olivia Walton on Monday. &#8220;And lo and behold, it’s still around.&#8221;
Indeed, the ACA is still around, though it&#8217;s unclear for how much longer.
The troubled healthcare system was at the crux of the record-long Democrat-backed government shutdown that started in October.
Obamacare subsidies that were tacked on during the COVID pandemic are finally set to expire this month. According to Republicans, they are financially unsustainable, rife with fraud, and paper over massive problems that are spiking premiums for tens of millions of Americans.
Democrats, on the other hand, pushed for the subsidies to be extended again, effectively arguing against the expiration date they had chosen.
Ryan Long, Senior Research Fellow at the Paragon Health Institute, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/obamacare-is-a-disaster-could-trumps-plan-fix-it?author=Amanda+Prestigiacomo&amp;category=News&amp;elementPosition=15&amp;row=0&amp;rowType=Vertical+List&amp;title=Obamacare+Is+A+Disaster.+Could+Trump’s+Plan+Fix+It%3F">told</a> The Daily Wire last month that Obamacare is making health insurance more expensive. Obamacare plan premiums have climbed a whopping 169% since 2013, for example. The increase is far steeper than that of employer-sponsored insurance, because when prices rise, the government is paying most of the cost, so insurers can keep raising them without people feeling the impact, Long explained.

Additionally, the expansion of Obamacare subsidies has created zero-dollar insurance plans that have sparked widespread fraud and abuse, costing taxpayers tens of billions of dollars.
“There’s upwards of 6 million people who aren’t actually within that income category that are claiming credits as if they were in that income category,” he explained. “In certain states, there are three to four times as many people enrolled in 100 to 150% of poverty in these $0 plans than there are people actually in those income brackets.”
“So these COVID credits have just produced massive amounts of fraud,” he said. “The federal government’s paying, you know, upwards of $27 billion to $30 billion in fraudulent payments.”
Obama, apparently, has tuned out all of the chatter surrounding the collapse of Obamacare. During his conversation with Walton, the former president said he hasn&#8217;t watched cable news in 15 years.
President Donald Trump and Republicans are reportedly working on a fix for Obamacare, or may even effectively craft an alternative system.

Chaos erupted in New York City on Saturday, when hundreds of anti-ICE protesters trapped federal immigration officers inside a parking garage for hours, apparently foiling an immigration raid.

It wasn&#8217;t until after 1 p.m. that ICE agents left the garage in their vehicles, while being chased by protesters, who threw things like garbage cans at the vehicles.
New York Police Department officers tried to quell the riot but were generally unsuccessful, encountering physical pushback at times. According to the Times, several protesters were arrested, but an apparent ICE raid was foiled.

Earlier this month, border patrol agents conducting immigration enforcement operations in Chicago were shot at by an unknown male driving a black Jeep, the Department of Homeland Security said at the time.
DHS also noted that an “unknown number of agitators also threw a paint can and bricks at Border Patrol’s vehicles.&#8221;
“Over the past two months, we’ve seen an increase in assaults and obstruction targeting federal law enforcement during operations,” DHS said. “These confrontations highlight the dangers our agents face daily and the escalating aggression toward law enforcement. The violence must end.”
In October, ICE officers were similarly targeted in an armed attack in Chicago. Assistant Secretary Dept. of Homeland Security Tricia McLaughlin said officers were “rammed by vehicles and boxed in by 10 cars” and agents were forced to exit their vehicles on foot.

Anti-ICE Protesters Trap Agents In NYC Parking Garage, Foil Raid

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said on Friday that he&#8217;s working to cut off federal benefits to people in the United States illegally, emphasizing that those benefits should be preserved for American citizens.
&#8220;At [President Donald Trump]&#8216;s direction, we are working to cut off federal benefits to illegal aliens and preserve them for U.S. citizens,&#8221; Bessent posted to X on Friday. 
&#8220;[The United States Treasury] announced that it will issue proposed regulations clarifying that the refunded portions of certain individual income tax benefits are no longer available to illegal and other non-qualified aliens, covering the Earned Income Tax Credit, the Additional Child Tax Credit, the American Opportunity Tax Credit, and the Saver’s Match Credit,&#8221; he explained.

Bessent&#8217;s announcement was made in response to President Donald Trump declaring on Thanksgiving that he would <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/in-blistering-thanksgiving-post-trump-promises-to-stop-migration-from-all-third-world-countries">pause all migration from third-world countries</a>.
Trump also promised to “end all Federal benefits and subsidies to noncitizens of our Country, denaturalize migrants who undermine domestic tranquility, and deport any Foreign National who is a public charge, security risk, or non-compatible with Western Civilization.”
Americans&#8217; generosity, Trump said, has been weaponized, allowing a vast foreign-born population to overwhelm the country and inflict deep social harm.
Trump said the U.S. now hosts a “foreign population” of 53 million, citing census data, and charged that many recent arrivals depend on taxpayer-supported welfare programs while coming from “failed nations, or from prisons, mental institutions, gangs, or drug cartels.”

In a separate post, Bessent stressed that illegal immigrants have &#8220;no place in our financial system.&#8221;

This past week, it was uncovered that billions of taxpayer dollars have been stolen in Minnesota, during the tenure of Democrat Gov. Tim Walz.
