Far-left Democratic presidential candidate Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) expectedly and easily took his home state of Vermont on Super Tuesday, polling from FiveThirtyEight indicates.

Sanders will gain a total of 16 delegates from the Vermont win.

Super Tuesday states included: Alabama, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, and Virginia. As noted by MarketWatch, “Residents of U.S. territory American Samoa and Democrats abroad will also cast their ballots.”

As reported by The Daily Wire, at least one other state had been called, North Carolina, going to former Vice President Joe Biden, a crucial state for the Democrat to win.
