On Tuesday, President Biden announced that the United States will have a large enough vaccine supply for every adult to be vaccinated by the end of May. This is a shift up in the timeline as the administration previously projected that the end of July would be when all adults could realistically be vaccinated.
At a press conference, Biden explained, “About three weeks ago, we were able to say that we’ll have enough vaccine supply for adults by the end of July. And I’m pleased to announce today, as a consequence of the stepped-up process that I’ve ordered and just outlined, this country will have enough vaccine supply, say it again, for every adult in America by the end of May, by the end of May. That’s progress, important progress, but it’s not enough to have the vaccine supply.”
