Superstar Bette Midler admitted that she hardly ever agrees with Senator Lindsay Graham (R-SC), but shared that he recently said something that the “whole world” is “wishing for.”
“I hardly ever agree with #LindseyGraham, but recently he said something that the whole world, in their heart of hearts, is wishing for, whether they admit it in public or not,” the 76-year-old actress tweeted Friday to her two million followers.

The “Beaches” star’s post doesn’t explain exactly what Graham said recently that she agreed with. However, the senator from South Carolina made headlines over the last few days after he called for Russian President Vladimir Putin to be assassinated following his invasion into Ukraine on February 24.
“Is there a [Marcus Junius] Brutus in Russia?” Graham tweeted, a reference to one of the assassins of Julius Caesar, reported Yahoo. “Is there a more successful Colonel Stauffenberg in the Russian military? The only way this ends is for somebody in Russia to take this guy out. You would be doing your country — and the world — a great service.”
Claus von Stauffenberg was a German officer who attempted to kill Adolf Hitler in 1944, reported Yahoo.

The “Hocus Pocus” star’s social media account is filled with numerous comments of her showing support for Ukraine and the country’s people amid the war.

Her post included a photo of a little kid wearing a white winter coat holding a Ukraine flag.
In a post several days earlier, Midler tweeted about Lindsay calling “for #VladimirPutin to be assassinated on Twitter.”
