On Wednesday, Barbara Pierce Bush headlined a luncheon fundraiser for Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas, where she reportedly told the crowd of roughly 1,000 abortion enthusiasts that she’s “proud to stand” with the abortion mill.
As noted by Life News, the daughter of pro-life President George W. Bush was working to benefit the same Planned Parenthood affiliate “whose abortion practitioner Amna Dermish was caught by the Center for Medical Progress explaining how she was striving to harvest ‘intact’ aborted babies’ brains in later-term abortions.”
A good cause, really.
There were no reporters allowed inside the fundraiser, but The Texas Tribune was able to obtain audio from Bush’s speech.
“I am proud to stand with Planned Parenthood not only because women, regardless of where they are from, deserve to live dignified, healthy lives, [but] … because it’s a really good investment,” said the former first daughter. “We know that when women are healthy, their families and their children are healthier, too.”
Bush, a co-founder and CEO of nonprofit Global Health Corps, continued to speak of healthcare more broadly, void of any mention of abortion, a fatal procedure which brings in roughly 86 percent of Planned Parenthood’s income (exempting federal funds).
“Our belief that health is a human right is not reflected in today’s reality,” she stated. “Millions of people’s potentials and futures are undermined simply because they do not have access to the health care that they deserve. We have these incredible tools to solve problems, yet health systems are weak, and we need new leaders to fix them.”
It’s frustrating that advocates still have to make a “case for why women’s health matters in 2017,” Bush reportedly added. The abortion advocates in the crowd, however, inspired Bush, a woman apparently under the impression that the murder of the unborn is “healthcare.”
Bush continued to pile-on the praise, referring to the abortion mill responsible for well over 300,000 abortions annually as a “one-stop shop” for “social probems.” Like eugenics, perhaps?
“To me, Planned Parenthood is a one-stop shop for everything that has to do with women’s health and all social problems that don’t have to do with women’s health. I hope you all realize the incredible investment that you’re making for both women and also their kids, their kids’ education and their income level,” said Bush.
The Bush twin has veered from her father, an important pro-life advocate who banned the gruesome act of partial-birth abortion in 2003 and defunded International Planned Parenthood during the first week of his presidency.
