‘The Bachelorette’ Finale: An Unexpected Ending For Hannah Brown

   DailyWire.com

After rejecting a Christian man over his views on premarital sex and rejecting another man with whom she had sex four times, Hannah Brown came away somewhat empty-handed during the season finale for “The Bachelorette” on Tuesday night when she called off her engagement with contestant Jed Wyatt after learning some dubious details about his past.

According to Fox News, Hannah Brown and Jed Wyatt initially appeared to be on their way to yet another rosy finale of “The Bachelorette,” when she gave an emphatic “Yes!” to his marriage proposal. Things, however, took a turn for the worst when Hannah Brown discovered that Wyatt actually had a girlfriend at the start of the season.

“The first news I heard [about Wyatt’s girlfriend, Haley Stevens] was actually the day after we got engaged,” Brown told host Chris Harrison. “But it was just that he wanted to let me know that if anything was said, there was a girl he was hanging out with. I was like, ‘OK, what does that mean and did you end it?’ … But ultimately, he told me it was a week before. It wasn’t a girlfriend; he was just hanging out with her.”

“I have sobbed on the floor. I felt like my whole life just caved in, and everything that I thought was true and real wasn’t. I have been mad as hell and just questioning what happened,” she continued. “But I’ve gotten a lot stronger through it.”

Jed Wyatt’s previous girlfriend, Haley Stevens, told PEOPLE back in June that they were quite a serious couple and that Wyatt allegedly went on “The Bachelorette” in order to bolster his music career — which Stevens apparently supported. “He was always so reassuring,” she said. “He told me the show was just an obstacle and we’d be stronger on the other side because of it.”

After calling off her engagement to Wyatt, the two had a final confrontation during the live portion of the finale broadcast, where he apologized profusely for having not been entirely truthful about his past life. Brown wished him well and genuinely hoped that he grew from the experience. Once Wyatt exited, Harrison called out the runner-up, Tyler Cameron, for a last meeting with Hannah Brown. While a marriage proposal seems to be off the table, for the time being, the two agreed to see each other for a while now that show has concluded.

“I cherish Hannah and value her and our friendship so much, but I don’t think it’s healthy for us to jump into anything right away,” Cameron told PEOPLE. “I think we need to be friends and see where life takes us. Whatever happens, happens.”

“Tyler will always have a place in my heart no matter what our relationship looks like,” Brown told the outlet. “The feelings I developed for him were real and they don’t shut off instantly. And it’s hard to say [yet] what the future holds with him, or anyone else.”
