According to RealClearPolitics, former Vice President Joe Biden, who is the present polling front-runner for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination, leads President Donald Trump in national head-to-head polling matchups by an average of 8.1%. But in what can only be deemed an alarming poll for the president’s re-election chances, a new Quinnipiac University poll even shows Biden leading a head-to-head matchup against Trump in the bright red state of Texas. According to Quinnipiac, Biden is the only Democratic presidential candidate who would currently defeat Trump in the Lone Star State — although many other hypothetical matchups polled within the margin of error.
