Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) was the only top Democrat primary nominee not to release an ad ahead of Super Tuesday suggesting former President Barack Obama would endorse him or her. Now that he didn’t do as well as former Vice President Joe Biden on Tuesday, his campaign has released an ad that features past statements from Obama where he praised Sanders.

Now that Sanders has moved from first place to second place in the primary race to 1,991 delegates, he has his own ad suggesting Obama is his BFF.

Politico reported that one of the three ads Sanders’ campaign released Wednesday includes past remarks from Obama.

“I think people are ready for a call to action,” Obama said in the ad. “They want honest leadership who cares about them. They want somebody who’s gonna fight for them. And they will find it in Bernie.”

Obama also said previously that Sanders is “somebody who has the virtue of saying exactly what he believes,” which is also included in the ad.

Sanders is just the latest Democrat trying to cling to Obama to rescue their campaign.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) released an ad early last month that includes past remarks from Obama praising her, The Hill reported. In the ad, Obama is shown applauding Warren’s help in creating the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, a controversial government agency where unelected bureaucrats decide what is best for people.

A clip of Obama in the ad shows him describing Warren as a “janitor’s daughter who has become one of the country’s fiercest advocates for the middle class.”

Toward the end of February, former New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg released a similar ad featuring clips of Obama praising him in such a way that made some Democrat voters think Obama had actually endorsed Bloomberg. As The Daily Wire previously reported, Bloomberg spent $1.2 million just before the New Hampshire primary to drop a 30-second ad that contained a voice over from one of Obama’s old speeches where he praised Bloomberg while photos of the former president and New York City mayor are shown.

“President Barack Obama is someone I was proud to call Commander-in-Chief, and someone I was honored to work with to get big things done,” Bloomberg tweeted along with the ad.

“At a time when Washington is divided in old ideological battles, he shows us what can be achieved when we bring people together to seek pragmatic solutions,” Obama said in the ad. For the record, Bloomberg didn’t have to work with anyone other than Democrats in New York City to get things done.

Ahead of Super Tuesday, Biden released his own ad featuring Obama. It’s currently playing in states that still have primaries yet to come. The ad includes past statements Obama made when he surprised Biden with the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

“Joe’s candid, honest counsel has made me a better President and a better Commander-in-Chief,” Obama said in the ad. “And all of this makes him, the finest Vice President we have ever seen. The best part is he’s nowhere close to finished.”
