Left-wing activist and “Will & Grace” actress Debra Messing was apparently scandalized over Democrat Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (AZ) liking a tweet about Republicans’ forecasted success in 2022.

The tweet Sinema liked was from CNN Politics, titled, “Why very early signs are good for the GOP in 2022.”

Captioning a screenshot of Sinema’s Twitter “like,” Messing tagged the senator and wrote, “is there something you’d like to tell the Democratic Party?”

The actress also tagged an official account for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), seemingly to highlight Sinema’s “naughty” behavior to Democratic leaders.

Sinema, a moderate Democrat who’s repeatedly irritated the Left, took the criticism in stride, trolling Messing in reply.

“Yes,” she answered the actress’ question. “I read.”

Most recently, Sinema sparked outrage from fellow Democrats and left-wing activists for voting against a $15 minimum wage and did so by giving a memorable thumbs-down.

The Daily Beast was particularly upset, publishing a post with the headline, “WTF (what the f***) Is Wrong With Kyrsten Sinema?”

“It’s bad enough Sen. Kyrsten Sinema, the Arizona Democrat, turned down the minimum wage hike with that oh-so-cute thumbs-down,” the piece complained. “Now she’s threatening to derail the whole Democratic agenda, insisting on archaic Senate rules that give Mitch McConnell and the Republicans outsized power.”

Sinema argued in a statement at the time of the vote that “the Senate should hold an open debate and amendment process on raising the minimum wage, separate from the COVID-focused reconciliation bill.” The statement reads:

I understand what it is like to face tough choices while working to meet your family’s most basic needs. I also know the difference better wages can make, which is why I helped lead Arizona’s effort to pass an indexed minimum wage in 2006, and strongly supported the voter-approved state minimum wage increase in 2016. No person who works full time should live in poverty. Senators in both parties have shown support for raising the federal minimum wage and the Senate should hold an open debate and amendment process on raising the minimum wage, separate from the COVID-focused reconciliation bill. I will keep working with colleagues in both parties to ensure Americans can access good-paying jobs, quality education, and skills training to build more economically secure lives for themselves and their families.

Sinema also “melted” some Democrats when she stood up and applauded portions of former President Donald Trump’s 2020 State of the Union address, even as she was surrounded by disapproving colleagues. AZ Central reported at the time:

Sinema stood and applauded during President Donald Trump’s State of the Union Address on Tuesday.

As Trump commended Sen. Tim Scott, R-S.C., for his work on “opportunity zones” – tax breaks aimed at attracting business to blighted areas — the TV cameras caught Sinema (gasp!) clapping.

And some Democrats melted down.
