The Muslim mayor of London, England is now stumping for Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton and against her Republican opponent, Donald Trump.
The Financial Express reports that Mayor Sadiq Khan nauseatingly declared himself to be "a big fan" of Clinton and called her "arguably the most experienced candidate to run to be the president" at a speech for the Chicago Council on Global Affairs.
"As the father of two daughters, I think the message it sends when the most powerful politician in the world is a woman is phenomenal, and hope she wins," Khan bloviated, clearly embracing the left's love for identity politics over actual substance.
He later turned his sights on Trump.
"I think to suggest somehow that Muslims aren’t welcome in the USA, to suggest somehow that being a Muslim isn't compatible with being western, unintentionally plays into the hands of daesh or so-called ISIS," Khan said.
Khan must be referring to Trump's proposed temporary Muslim ban, which Trump has backed off on and called for a temporary immigration from specific Islamic countries instead. But Khan really is not in a position to lecture about playing into ISIS's hands.
The Daily Wire's Joshua Yasmeh has explained how Khan once referred to moderate Muslims as "Uncle Toms" and the Daily Wire's Hank Berrien has discussed Khan's ties to radical Islamists, including how "he served as a 'legal consultant' to 9/11 bomber Zacarias Moussaoui, and 'shared a platform' with terrorist Yasser al-Siri, who once said American soldiers’ corpses should be “dragged in the streets."
With those kind of connections and a previous slur toward moderate Muslims, Khan has zero credibility in suggesting that Trump is unintentionally aiding ISIS with his rhetoric.
If Trump were smart, he would use Khan's support of Clinton as evidence that she is weak on Islamic terrorism.
