Donald Trump is once again in Ann Coulter’s good graces. Trump’s much anticipated immigration policy speech delivered late Wednesday hit all the right marks for voters frustrated by the seemingly toothless “Gang of Eight” style proposals advanced by “establishment” Republicans. After a week of “softening,” Trump re-pivoted back to the more hard-line anti-illegal immigrant candidate he was during the GOP primaries, much to Coulter’s delight.

In fact, the immigration-obsessed conservative pundit was so excited by Trump’s speech that she even compared the real estate mogul to master orator Winston Churchill:

Coulter’s tweet was just one of many posts in praise of Trump’s rebirth as an immigration hard-liner:

It was only last week when she slammed the Republican nominee for his newfound “softened” general election immigration policy.

Trump’s statements at the town hall hosted by Sean Hannity last Wednesday appeared to trigger Coulter’s panic mode, compelling her to share the specific aspects of his apparent new policy she found particularly worthy of contempt:

Despite the rant, Coulter went on to deny the fact that he was “evolving” his position.

"It's just rhetoric but it's still annoying," she told The Hill last Wednesday. "I think he panicked and he had to say [it] ... I don't think he is softening. I mean the big thing is the wall."

But that’s all water under the bridge. Trump’s speech on Wednesday night was no doubt music to Coulter’s ears. For now at least, her starry-eyed view of a Churchillian Trump has been vindicated.
