The Left loves to telling us all about the so-called war on women; that women are helpless victims preyed upon by the big bad patriarchy, typically from those hetero white male Right-wingers. One piece to such a narrative is the myth that just won't die: the "gender pay gap" — the claim that women are paid less than men for simply being women.
On Thursday, that claim was proven false. Again.
A new survey showed that, on average, female CEOs earn $7 million more than their male counterparts. Per The Daily Mail:
Female chief executive officers earn more money on average than their male counterparts for the second year in a row according to a new survey.
Researchers looked at the pay and benefits packages for male and female business leaders for 2014 and 2015.
The data showed that the median pay for a female CEO was almost $18 million last year, while their male counterparts were worth on average a mere $10.5 million.
Time sums up the basic discrepancy within overall pay between men and women (spoiler alert: it’s choice, not discrimination):
No matter how many times this wage gap claim is decisively refuted by economists, it always comes back. The bottom line: the 23-cent gender pay gap is simply the difference between the average earnings of all men and women working full-time. It does not account for differences in occupations, positions, education, job tenure or hours worked per week. When such relevant factors are considered, the wage gap narrows to the point of vanishing.
Nonetheless, the Left still clings to this falsehood for the sake of narrative. Divider-in-chief Obama has espoused the lie on numerous occasions, as has chronic liar Democratic presidential frontrunner Hillary Clinton. Of course, feminists feed off this lie, too. I mean, you can’t expect these folks to push a victimhood crusade without (manufactured) victimhood.
Here’s Obama pushing the blatantly false narrative in 2013.
And Hillary: “It is way past time to end the outrage of so many women still earning less than men on the job,” she said in April to an audience in California.
"The data showed that the median pay for a female CEO was almost $18 million last year, while their male counterparts were worth on average a mere $10.5 million."

So, no, the evil patriarchy is not holding out money from women simply because they have uteruses. In fact, top female executives are earning more than men. Darn matriarchy.
A good rule to live by: Check into the ALL victimhood narratives from the Left because they're almost always built on lies.
