President Donald Trump slammed social media companies on Friday afternoon after they banned or suspended multiple accounts belonging to right-leaning figures over the last week.
"I am continuing to monitor the censorship of AMERICAN CITIZENS on social media platforms," Trump tweeted. "This is the United States of America — and we have what’s known as FREEDOM OF SPEECH! We are monitoring and watching, closely!!"
"The wonderful Diamond and Silk have been treated so horribly by Facebook," Trump added. "They work so hard and what has been done to them is very sad - and we’re looking into. It’s getting worse and worse for Conservatives on social media!"
"So surprised to see Conservative thinkers like James Woods banned from Twitter, and Paul Watson banned from Facebook!" Trump continued.
"Outspoken conservative and award-winning actor James Woods has been locked out of his massive Twitter account — which has accumulated over 2 million followers — for over a week now, the actor's girlfriend Sarah Miller has confirmed," The Daily Wire reported earlier this week. "On April 20, Miller posted a screenshot of the email Woods received from the tech platform."
"Of course Twitter doesn’t inform his followers," Miller captioned the photo. The email claims Woods was locked out of his account for "violating" Twitter rules "against abusive behavior." The tweet supposedly in violation read as follows: "If you try to kill the King, you better not miss. #HangThemAll."
