BREAKING: Shooting In Aurora, Illinois: Four Policeman Injured, Multiple Civilian Injuries

On Friday afternoon, an active shooter situation was reported in Aurora, Illinois. According to ABC7 Chicago, the shooter was apprehended after appearing at the Henry Pratt Company in southwest suburban Aurora. Four police officers from the Aurora police were injured; multiple civilians were injured.

According to Rush Copley Hospital, the hospital received two victims with non-life-threatening injuries. ABC7 reported, “John Probst, a Henry Pratt employee who escaped the building, said he saw a man holding a pistol with a laser scope. He said he recognized the shooter as a coworker.” Probst also stated that roughly 30 people were in the building at the time of the incident.

Probst siad that the shooter was targeting people at random, adding, "One of the guys was up in the office, he said this person was shootin', and, he come running down and he was bleeding pretty bad, and the next thing you know he was walking back and forth, I heard more shots, and we just left the building.”

Aurora spokesperson Clayton Muhammed told CNN affiliate WGN-TV that the officers were in stable condition. West Aurora School District schools were placed on lockdown.
