Donald Trump isn't known for his restraint on social media, but his latest tweetstorm took his rhetoric against Robert Mueller to a new level, complete with all-caps denunciations, declarations that the special counsel has "gone completely nuts," and predictions of how future generations will view the way Mueller and his "gang of Democrat thugs" have attempted to "destroy the people."
"The inner workings of the Mueller investigation are a total mess," Trump wrote in a series of tweets that got rolling Thursday morning. "They have found no collusion and have gone absolutely nuts. They are screaming and shouting at people, horribly threatening them to come up with the answers they want. They are a disgrace to our Nation and don’t care how many lives the ruin."
He wasn't close to done: "These are Angry People, including the highly conflicted Bob Mueller, who worked for Obama for 8 years. They won’t even look at all of the bad acts and crimes on the other side. A TOTAL WITCH HUNT LIKE NO OTHER IN AMERICAN HISTORY!"
Trump then offered this prediction: "Universities will someday study what highly conflicted (and NOT Senate approved) Bob Mueller and his gang of Democrat thugs have done to destroy people."
"Why is he protecting Crooked Hillary, Comey, McCabe, Lisa Page & her lover, Peter S, and all of his friends on the other side?" he asked. "The only 'Collusion' is that of the Democrats with Russia and many others. Why didn’t the FBI take the Server from the DNC? They still don’t have it."
He then brought in reports of media bias among the major tech companies: "Check out how biased Facebook, Google and Twitter are in favor of the Democrats. That’s the real Collusion!"
As for the Democrat-media "collusion," prior to downloading on Mueller, Trump smacked the "FAKE NEWS MEDIA" for looking for ways to report on his administration in an unflattering light.
"The White House is running very smoothly and the results for our Nation are obviously very good," he wrote. "We are the envy of the world. But anytime I even think about making changes, the FAKE NEWS MEDIA goes crazy, always seeking to make us look as bad as possible! Very dishonest!"
Trump's full-throated denunciation of Mueller comes amid reports that he's about to hand down another indictment to a man connected to Trump associate Roger Stone, Jerome Corsi, who was recently D.C. bureau chief of Alex Jones' conspiracy site Infowars.
"I don't know what they're going to charge me with," Corsi told ABC News in an interview Monday about the "horror show" investigation. "I think my only crime was that I support Donald Trump. That's my crime, and now I'm going to go to prison for the rest of my life for cooperating with them."
Corsi is one of more than a dozen individuals connected to Stone that Mueller's team is reportedly probing. Mueller appears to be interested in Stone's alleged contact with Julian Assange concerning Wikileaks' release of leaked Hillary Clinton campaign emails ahead of the election.
"The witnesses, many of whom have appeared before the grand jury impaneled by Mueller’s team, have told ABC News they were asked about Stone’s dealings during the 2016 election and what if any contact he may have had with Wikileaks founder Julian Assange through an intermediary, which Stone denies," ABC reports.
