With the launch of Camille Paglia’s new book this week, the Drudge Report has unearthed the heterodox feminist’s 2016 discussion of feminism as the collapse of Western Civilization. In her discourse Paglia explains, “The period of the 1920s, 1930s: that to me is my favorite period in feminism because these women admired what men had done. There was no male bashing as became systemic to Second Wave feminism. It’s an absolute poison that has spread worldwide.” The author of Sexual Personae later takes on the “neuroticism” endemic to modern feminism and how the movement’s deconstruction of traditional culture bred the “new religion” of political correctness.

As the Left increasingly insists upon coddling women, abolishing due process, and even dabbling in cultic activism, Paglia’s comments offer a refreshing perspective from as insightful a scholar of feminism as any.
