Democratic socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez hinted on Wednesday that Fox News should be punished for the network's reporting on her, claiming that they are "obsessed."

Ocasio-Cortez's remarks came after Fox News published an article based on a Tuesday report from The Daily Wire that showed the 28-year-old suggesting that she would be "inaugurated" into office if she won her congressional race in November and that she looked forward to signing bills into law.

"In today’s edition of 'Fox News is Obsessed with Me,' they splice a video of a joke at an open event, cut out my comment saying this ISN’T how it is, and present as 'controversy,'" Ocasio-Cortez tweeted. "Isn’t this slanted behavior exactly what got Fox News censured in the U.K.?"

Ocasio-Cortez is a liar.

The video clip of her that was used in The Daily Wire's report was never "spliced" and did not "cut out" her comment saying "the ISN'T how it is."

Ocasio-Cortez continued by falsely claiming that Fox News presented that clip as a "controversy," which is not remotely true. The network presented the clip in such a way that showed her extreme lack of knowledge on the basic functions of the three branches of the U.S. government.

The U.K.'s overbearing government did find Fox News in violation of Ofcom rules over impartiality since they said the network did not "sufficiently reflect alternative viewpoints," according to the BBC.

Rupert Murdoch and his sons eventually pulled Fox News off the air in the U.K. after realizing that the audiences wanted news from media outlets that were more left-of-center.

Still, Ocasio-Cortez's mere hint that Fox News should potentially be punished for the network's coverage of her is a concern given her infatuation with big-government policies, including her support for $40 trillion in new government programs, the funding for which she can't explain.
