On Thursday evening, President Donald Trump took to his favorite medium, Twitter, to react to the hearing of his Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, who's had uncorroborated, contradicted, and dubious accusations of serious sexual misconduct launched against him.
Trump, who's been unwavering in his support for Kavanaugh, applauded the judge for his "powerful, honest, and riveting" testimony. He also took a hard swipe at the Democrats' "disgraceful" "search and destroy strategy."
"Judge Kavanaugh showed America exactly why I nominated him. His testimony was powerful, honest, and riveting. Democrats’ search and destroy strategy is disgraceful and this process has been a total sham and effort to delay, obstruct, and resist," wrote the president.
"The Senate must vote!" Trump declared.
Trump reportedly called Kavanaugh ahead of Thursday's hearing with advice to be aggressive and forceful, according to sources. Without question, an impassioned Kavanaugh delivered on that front.
