A bisexual dating show hosted by drag queen Courtney Act called "The Bi Life" will be coming to E! Entertainment in the U.K.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, "the 10-part series has been commissioned by the NBCUniversal-owned network from Monkey, the production banner best known for scripted reality series 'Made in Chelsea' and part of NBCUniversal International Networks."
The series is the first in the U.K. to focus on bisexual dating. Episodes will consist of such people finding love in the Spanish city of Barcelona.
Courtney Act (real name Shane Jenk), winner of 2018's "Celebrity Big Brother," will host the show, saying the time has come to give people like him a platform to show their dating life.
"As if this summer hasn’t been hot enough, we decided to crank it up another notch with The Bi Life on E!," said Jenk. "It’s high time there was a dating show for the large number of young people today, like me, who are attracted to more than one gender."
Jenk continued: "In 2018 we know that sexuality is fluid, and sharing the stories and experiences, the laughter and the lovemaking of young bi people is so important. So get ready to see the true stories of bisexual singles, who are the largest part of the LGBTQ+ community but the least known."
Premiering in October, "The Bi Life" comes at a time when a variety of both reality and scripted shows are focusing on LGBT characters. DC's "Batwoman" features a lesbian woman in the starring role while the CW's "Supergirl" will break barriers by featuring the first transgender superhero.
RuPaul's "Drag Race" has run for 10 seasons.
