Debra Messing Makes Anti-Religious Freedom Pitch For Blocking Kavanaugh

"He DOESN’T belong on our Supreme Court"

Leftist actress Debra Messing doesn't believe Brett Kavanaugh belongs on the Supreme Court because he supports protecting religious freedom over forcing people to pay for others' abortions.

In yet another one of her Twitter rants, the "Will & Grace" actress voiced her opposition to President Trump SCOTUS nominee Brett Kavanaugh, saying he not only would restrict women's access to "safe, legal" abortions but also empower religious people to deny paying for them.

"Judge Kavanaugh has ruled in past cases to restrict women’s access to safe, legal abortion," Messing tweeted. "He has argued that a boss’s religious beliefs override people’s access to health care. He DOESN’T belong on our Supreme Court."

Messing was clearly referencing the Hobby Lobby decision that allowed for closely-held corporations to deny paying for contraceptives and abortifacient drugs under the Obamacare HHS mandate if it violated their religious beliefs.

None of this is new for Messing, who has created a Twitter profile replete with conservative and anti-Trump bashing. The revival of her show "Will & Grace" has argued that Christians should be forced to bake cakes for occasions they disagree with on religious grounds and compared Trump supporters to Nazis.
