Mainstream Media Interviews Porn Star Lawyer 147 Times In Just 10 Weeks

The mainstream media just can't get enough of the Stormy Daniels story.

Or her lawyer, apparently. Michael Avenatti, has been interviewed 147 times on broadcast and cable news shows in just the last 10 weeks, a new study by Newsbusters finds.

More than half of those interviews (74) were on CNN, which almost certainly makes Avenatti the most ubiquitous guest in the network’s history. No guest — not Donald Trump or Bernie Sanders in 2016, nor Adam Schiff in 2017 — received anything close to the outpouring of free media coverage that CNN has bequeathed to Avenatti.

The media’s massive donation of publicity is obviously the main reason why Daniels and Avenatti have been able to use a crowd funding site to raise a whopping $500,000 to fund their anti-Trump lawsuits, with many of the thousands of anonymous donors citing the interviews as they make their gifts.

Daniels claims she had an affair with President Trump, who she says eventually paid her $130,000 to keep quiet. Trump denies the affair.

Over at MSNBC, Avenetti has been interviewed 57 times. On May 3, the liberal network somehow featured him seven times from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. ABC has had him on six times, CBS five, and NBC four.

"CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360 and MSNBC’s The Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell were the most smitten with Avenatti, interviewing him the most of any program (20 times in the case of Cooper, 16 in the case of O’Donnell). CNN's New Day with Chris Cuomo and Alisyn Camerota came in third with 13 inteviews, just beating out CNN Tonight with Don Lemon and MSNBC's Deadline: White House, which hosted Avenatti 12 and 11 times, respectively," the report says.

Last month, NewsBusters analysts examined transcripts of all CNN broadcasts that aired between April 12 and April 16, finding 77 separate mentions of an unproven claim that Trump once paid prostitutes to urinate on each other while in Moscow. CNN has also devoted an entire segment to the size of Trump's trouser legs. Seriously.

President Trump is fed up with negative coverage by the MSM. "The Fake News is working overtime. Just reported that, despite the tremendous success we are having with the economy & all things else, 91% of the Network News about me is negative (Fake). Why do we work so hard in working with the media when it is corrupt? Take away credentials?" he wrote last week on Twitter.
