On Wednesday, Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) grilled Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg during his second day of answering questions from congressional leaders about the company's recent Cambridge Analytica data scandal.
During the hearing, Blackburn slammed Zuckerberg for Facebook's alleged bias against conservatives, specifically against the pro-Trump duo "Diamond and Silk."
"Do you subjectively manipulate your algorithms to prioritize or censor speech?" Blackburn asked.
"Congresswoman, we don't think about what we're doing as censoring speech," Zuckerberg replied. "I think that there are types of content like terrorism that we all agree we do not want to have on our service, so we build systems that can identify those and can remove that content, and we're very proud of that work."
"Let me tell you something right now," Blackburn responded. "Diamond and Silk is not terrorism."
Zuckerberg did not respond.
