WATCH: Megyn Kelly Finally Responds To 'Hanoi Jane' Fonda In BRUTAL Takedown

NBC's Megyn Kelly, a former journalist and lawyer, used to dominate primetime, taking liberals toe-to-toe on Fox News. Since her move to NBC, Kelly has been focused primarily on nonpolitical issues. But on Monday morning, glimmers of the old Megyn Kelly came back when she was ripping into "Hanoi Jane" Fonda for her pathetic whining over Kelly's past plastic surgery question and the feminist's serious anti-American past (and present).

Kelly asked Fonda about her plastic surgery during a September interview on her show, where Fonda was promoting her movie "Our Souls at Night." The feminist snapped at Kelly, though she's publicly spoken about having plastic surgery done previously.

"We really want to talk about that now?” she asked sternly.

Since the interview, Fonda has been taking swipes at Kelly seemingly anytime she finds a camera pointed in her direction. Last week, for example, Fonda lashed out at "TODAY" hosts Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie for laughing at a joke she cracked about having a "first facelift."

"Who are you, Megyn Kelly?” Fonda asked the giggling hosts.

Over the weekend, the actress "described Kelly as a poor interviewer in a conversation with Variety magazine, suggesting she would come on the show again when Kelly had 'learned her stuff,'" reports NBC.

After the continuous digs, including one occurring on her own network, Kelly has apparently had enough, responding to Fonda in an absolutely brutal takedown on Monday's show.

“And, now, a word on Jane Fonda, who appears to be fixated on an exchange I had with her months ago on this show,” started in Kelly. “When she first complained, publicly after the program and repeatedly, I chose to say nothing because my general philosophy is what other people think of me is none of my business.”

“It’s time to address the ‘poor me’ routine,” she continued.

Kelly explained that Fonda was on her show in September to promote her film that focused on "aging," adding that the 80-year-old has, for years, spoken about "giving a cultural face to older women."

"Well, the truth is, most older women look nothing like Fonda, who is now 80. And if Fonda really wants to have an honest discussion about older women's cultural face, then her plastic surgery is tough to ignore," slammed Kelly. "To her credit, she has discussed her cosmetic surgery pretty much everywhere before coming on our show."

“Apparently, when she came here, however, again, to promote her film about aging, I was supposed to discern that this subject was suddenly off limits,” Kelly continued. “Look, I gave her the chance to empower other women, young and old, on a subject which she purports to know well, and she rejected it. That’s OK."

"But I have no regrets about that question, nor am I in the market for a lesson from Jane Fonda on what is or is not appropriate," she said, before calling out Fonda for her anti-American past:

After all, this is a woman whose name is synonymous with outrage. Look at her treatment of our military during the Vietnam War. Many of our veterans still call her ‘Hanoi Jane' thanks to her radio broadcast, which attempted to shame American troops; she posed on an anti-aircraft gun used to shoot-down our American pilots; she called our POWs hypocrites and liars and referred to their torture as "understandable."

“By the way, she still says she is not proud of America," added Kelly. "So the moral indignation is a little much," she continued, adding Fonda "has no business lecturing anyone on what qualifies as offensive."
