Unfunny comedian Chelsea Handler walked away from her failing cable TV show earlier this year and vowed to become more active in politics.

She now posts things like this on Twitter:

So edgy and politically savvy!

And Handler loves to rail against President Trump on her weekly low-rated Netflix show. Last week, in an episode titled “Dinner Party: Scandalous,” Handler went after White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders — about her looks, not about politics.

As liberals love to do, Handler was interviewing fellow hard lefter Lanny Davis, a Clinton apologist and lawyer who spends his days now defending both Hillary and Bubba. The two were discussing "alternative facts," and Davis said: “When somebody from the Trump White House stands at the lectern and tells us that black is white —”

Handler cut him off. “That harlot that they are dressing up and trolloping out every day? I mean, one day she has no makeup on at all, the next she’s got like 6-foot long eyelashes, and she's got cleavage, and summer whore lipstick all over her face. Can you believe what they’ve turned her into? A proper trollop.”

In case you're not familiar with the word first used in 1621, Merriam-Webster offers this definition of "trollop": "a vulgar or disreputable woman; especially one who engages in sex promiscuously or for money."

Nice. And hilarious!

The sad little episode also featured a dinner party with the female stars of ABC’s "Scandal." Says Handler: “There’s a movement happening because of this last election. There’s a movement happening of women coming together. And for me, that is a real reason to, like, keep that message. Loud and clear and sing it up.”

Sing it up? Um, OK.

Luckily, Hollywood actresses were there to talk about the state of American "journalism" today.

"Scandal" actress Bellamy Young says "there is a huge war on journalism right now. So, 'spin' is a hard word nowadays for me. I search for truth. I don’t wanna hear someone’s lies about what’s happening. We have to show up for our world and I need to know what I’m reacting to. So, spin breaks my heart these days.”

Aw, poor baby.

For Chandler and the Hollywood elite, there are women — those who think just like they do — and then there are horrible whore trollops (those who don't). And they have no problem bashing conservative women, even on something as petty as their appearance.

You'd think someone in the media would call them out on their hypocrisy, but the "journalists" of today think just like them.

And that's really not very funny.
