Are We On Stolen Land?
Man on the Street•Feb 21, 2026At the Grammys, singer Billie Eilish criticized ICE and declared, “No one is illegal on stolen land.” So Franklin Camargo headed to UCLA to ask students a simple question: If America is “stolen land,” should celebrities—including Eilish—return their property to Native tribes like the Tongva? And if she’s a hypocrite for not doing so, what about the students attending a university built on land once inhabited by indigenous peoples?
