I awoke confused. Where was I? What happened, and why was I lying on the bathroom floor soaked in urine mixed with blood? 
As I wiped the urine from the inside of my legs, I reached for something to help me to my feet, still unaware of where I was. Too weak to stand alone, I leaned forward onto the countertop for stability and looked into the mirror. Who was this middle-aged man staring back at me? Where was Kellie? Where did I go? What had I become? I felt Kellie on the inside, but within a matter of months, who I was was gone. 
Shaking my head to alleviate the pain and disorientation I was experiencing, it all flashed back. I turned to the toilet. I was there. I had passed out again from the pain of having six inches of bacteria infected hair on the inside of my urethra. This time, the infection was so severe that I had a silicon tube placed in my arm to deliver IV antibiotics. Every morning I awoke to the pain. It took everything I had to get dressed for work, hobble to my car, enter the hospital, and receive my IV antibiotics. Survival itself became a struggle. 
Just 15 months prior, I had undergone a phalloplasty, a female-to-male bottom surgery in which doctors created a phallo using skin harvested from the arms and legs. This marked the sixth surgery I’d undergone within two years. It was the most traumatic of them all, and I’d begun to endure the crippling pain associated with the side effects of a surgery I was told would be routine. 
Yet, despite the dangers of such serious medical procedures, surgeons who enter the field of transgender surgery need little to no specialized training. Doctors looking to expand their horizons can essentially make a trip to the local OfficeMax and have a sign made saying, “Transgender Surgeon,” hang it on the door, and &#8211; poof! &#8211; the transgender craze will supply them with a line of patients begging for surgery. Instantly, they have insurance companies approving $50,000 procedures with profit margins mirroring brain surgery &#8211; no questions asked. These surgeons have the LGBTQ Force Shield to protect them from any criticism as well as an army of activists to rationalize any negative publicity as “transphobia.” These unqualified surgeons hide behind LGBTQ ideology to dodge medical malpractice cases because transgender surgery is considered experimental; and without a set baseline to compare results, lawsuits are almost impossible. 
Many top-rated surgeons in the world refuse to conduct transgender bottom surgeries, not because of bigotry, but because they know the risks associated with an elective surgery marred by an incredibly high <a href="https://www.phallo.net/risks-complications/">complication rate.</a> However, for surgeons accustomed to making $300,000 a year for appendectomies and other less complicated procedures, the allure of increasing their salary instantly by performing ‘gender affirmation’ surgeries can often be impossible to resist. And as I experienced, many of the doctors taking part in these surgeries are content to ignore the complications associated with them as long as the money keeps coming in. 
The complications associated with my surgery have re-written the date on my tombstone. I have shortened my life with this decision, and I think about my future grandchildren every day, knowing I may never meet them. I ache for them, and in my head I’m constantly saying, “I’m sorry my babies and future grandbabies. I’m so, so sorry.”
I remember the indoctrination and the unease as I began the surgery roller coasters, and when looking back, embarrassment falls upon me. How could I have been so stupid at 42 years old? As I deal with and try to recover from PTSD, I can still vividly recall the start of it all.
My eyes felt heavy, but the bright white walls of the surgery clinic kept me alert as the IV drugs started to take the edge off.
“You’ll be fine,” my fiance Lynette said, but something inside me told me differently. Something inside me screamed at me to leap off the gurney as the nurse began to unlock my hospital bed to wheel me into the operating room. Lynette could see I was anxious and squeezed my hand harder. The gesture comforted me, but deep down, I felt troubled that she was so eager to see me wheeled into the surgery room. I wished I had more time to talk to her, but instead it was all a whirlwind. I wanted to tell her my fears, but instead, I smiled at her, hoping that at any moment she would say, “Baby, I know you are doing this for me, and you don’t have to, because I will love you anyway, just the way you are.” 
Minutes seemed like hours as the terror grew inside me. Until all at once it hit me, and I tried to lift my body to protest and say, “Stop, this is wrong!” But it was too late. Neither Lynette nor I said anything. By the time I came to my senses, the drugs had taken over.
The last thing I felt was the piercing cold of the metal operating table as the anesthesiologist said, “Count down from 100, sir.” I attempted to muster enough strength to say, “Wait, I’m not a sir. This is wrong.” But all I emitted was the inaudible flicker of my eyelids fighting to stay awake, as my mind raced. I wanted them to stop, then it all faded to black.
At the time of the surgery, it had been only two-and-a-half months since I started taking testosterone shots, but a transformation had already begun taking place. Almost instantly, my usual self-assurance — one of the critical components that made me an ultra-successful business sales executive — was slipping from me. I wondered why. My confidence and cocky air made people look up when I spoke at a sales presentation; I commanded attention. It was my sincerity, though, that made me different.
My decline in confidence started almost immediately after my first injection of testosterone, and it took several months to realize that I had stepped back in conversations. In sales meetings, I stopped raising my hand, inquiring about strategies, and fighting for accounts; I wanted to get in and out without too much noise. That was not who I was, and it confused me.
The reality was that, even though I had dreamed of having been born a male, thinking of how much easier my life would have been, I was not a male. Throughout my life, I dug deep, trying to develop a fondness for who I was, and it took a long time to begin the process of accepting myself. I dreamt of being the “ultra” boy my father wanted, the “King” in our family who would have had it all. I would have been the alpha male placed upon a pedestal decorated with footballs, motorcycles, money, attention, dirt, and everything else I loved. 
Instead, who I really was became accepted, not celebrated, and I was painfully aware of that. I worked hard over the years, though, but despite finally starting to embrace my uniqueness, I was unable to resist the fantasy of what I was told medical transition could accomplish. The complications and hurdles were skimmed over, and my embrace of what I thought was self acceptance was not established enough to fight the dream I had played in my mind constantly as a child. The idea of fitting into a puzzle that I felt was always denied to me was something I couldn’t shake.
At 42, when the medical industry told me I could be born again, male, I believed them.
Within two-and-a-half months of testosterone treatment, pronouns were changing, people at work started to stare, and I was painfully aware. I began doubting myself and felt held back. I wanted to talk to Lynette, but she wrapped herself up in what my transition did for us as a couple, which supposedly fixed everything on paper. There was also nothing available to help me &#8211; on the internet, in books, or in Youtube videos &#8211; that detailed the emotional side of transitioning. Only joyful transgender people who’d been magically transformed could be found.
I was surprised at how quickly I was able to push the transition process along, considering the fact that I had only been on testosterone for a short period of time. It didn’t seem to matter to the medical professionals; they were all too eager to continue with the procedures  and swipe the credit card.
The happy, lighthearted salesmanship of “medical transition” and its blunt reality don&#8217;t match up. Doctors and medical transition proponents don’t prepare you for transition-related post-traumatic stress disorders; they don&#8217;t mention post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) or any of the multiple hardships because it is considered transphobic. 
I want to tell my story so that others can hear what the medical industry is too afraid to say out loud: That gender transition surgery is not the magical solution that doctors, the media, and culture describe. 
I learned from this experience that human beings can be convinced of anything if rendered at the right time, the right way, and by the right people, and I am no exception. Now, I want to protect others from the same lies that I fell for. Because the truth is worth it.

Desmond is Amazing is a drag performing kid who has been used by adults and the media in a disturbing fashion over the last several years to push and normalize a trans agenda.
The child is known professionally as Desmond is Amazing. He said he has idolized drag queens and their lifestyle since he was <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/watch-disturbing-videos-show-famous-12-year-old-drag-queen-pretending-to-snort-ketamine-interviewing-with-convicted-killer">2-years-old</a> after watching Ru-Paul&#8217;s &#8220;Drag Race&#8221; with his mom, Wendy Napoles. At the age of 4 Desmond started attending Pride Parades. The drag kid, born Desmond Napoles, first started professionally doing drag when he appeared in &#8220;The Bacon Shake&#8221; <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zeaVCB9qlto">video</a> in 2014, which would make him 6-years-old when his parents dressed him in a red flapper dress and had him dance on top of a bar for adults in a video by the artist named Jinkx Monsoon, an American Drag Performer.
The lyrics that play as the child dances for adults in a bar reads &#8220;(She&#8217;s shakin&#8217; her bacon)&#8221; and then &#8220;shimmy &#8217;til it fizzles.&#8221; The entire song can be seen <a href="https://www.google.com/search?client=safari&amp;rls=en&amp;q=The+Bacon+Shake&amp;ie=UTF-8&amp;oe=UTF-8">here.</a> 
The line that stands out reads as followed:

In 2018, Desmond dressed in drag complete with a wig, make-up and crop top, as he danced in a sexual manner at a gay bar at night time while adult gay men rewarded his dancing with money being thrown at him while he&#8217;s on stage, as previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/11-year-old-boy-dressed-drag-dances-gay-men-bar-amanda-prestigiacomo?fbclid=IwAR1kcG7PlcQXyMF-hcbISm4T80hvCtw1r1yrgdyrM98sbdyIMwfjPJEgrT0">reported</a> by the Daily Wire. As stated, the DW &#8220;reviewed and confirmed the &#8216;performance&#8217; through video and photo posts on social media but has chosen not to link to the exploitative footage.
Later, his <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/mother-11-year-old-drag-kid-who-performed-gay-bar-amanda-prestigiacomo">mother, Wendy Napoles, posted</a> on social media that Desmond&#8217;s performance was &#8220;age appropriate, carefully supervised and in accordance with the Dept. for Labor&#8217;s regulations for child performers.&#8221;
In a video that first appeared on YouTube in 2017 and again in 2018, Napoles is seen sitting on a couch alongside convicted murderer Michael Alig, a ’90s New York club promoter who served 17 years in prison for murdering and dismembering Angel Melendez in 1996.  The <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TqjOEKYOav0">clip</a> can be seen here for those interested.
In a 2019 article by <a href="https://www.nationalreview.com/2019/06/desmond-napoles-gender-identity-ideology/">National Review</a>, the outlet provides more graphic details about Alig who it wrote spent nearly two decades behind bars for &#8220;beating his drug dealer to death, soaking his body in acidic liquids for over a week, dismembering the corpse, and dumping it in the Hudson. &#8221; During the video the child appeared &#8220;in front of a painting of a girl with the word &#8220;Rophypnol&#8221; (the date-rape drug) scrawled across it,&#8221; the outlet noted.
In 2020, the <a href="https://thefederalist.com/2020/02/17/video-emerges-of-drag-kid-desmond-is-amazing-pretending-to-snort-ketamine/">Federalist</a> reported about a Facebook video of the then-11-year-old child pretending to snort ketamine off his hand as he sat on the couch with an adult New York City based drag queen by the name of Bellanoche. The clip can be seen <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AZ2rqlpd1_w">here</a> and comes at the 9:39 minute mark.
&#8220;What has this world come to?&#8221; Desmond announced. &#8220;It&#8217;s come to a world in which drag kids actually exist.&#8221;
Bellanoche then adds &#8220;and people do ketamine on a couch.&#8221; It is then this &#8220;child puts his wrist to his nose and sniffs while cocking his head back, mimicking a way to snort drugs without paraphernalia,&#8221; the outlet noted.
Desmond is not only being promoted by his parents and the drag queen community but has found a national stage for his drag performance and has even been popularized by those in journalism considered to be of high standards, like ABC&#8217;s &#8220;<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JxdvOLdG_34">Good Morning America</a>&#8221; and the <a href="https://www.bbc.com/news/av/world-us-canada-47177250">BBC</a>.
In 2018, when he was 11-years-old, the kid appeared on GMA where co-host Sarah Haines declared him the &#8220;youngest/first&#8221; drag queen kid, proudly. When he arrived, the child walked out on stage wearing a dress, a wig and pancake makeup. Desmond then, before taking his seat, lied down on the ground with his arms up and one leg folded under him. It is a pose he has taken many times during various public appearances. It is unclear why. At the time, there was no backlash. No one was fired and nothing else happened.
I am 100% sure if we saw a young girl dressed in a giant wig, cake makeup, and a dress performing for adults like this it would raise serious red flags. Yet this situation is being celebrated on national morning television, as seen <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JxdvOLdG_34">here</a>.
Napoles is also written about in articles from every outlet ranging from <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2019/09/07/style/self-care/drag-kids-desmond-the-amazing.html">The New York Times</a>, <a href="https://nypost.com/video/12-year-old-drag-kid-desmond-is-amazing-struts-his-stuff/">New York Post</a> and <a href="https://www.huffpost.com/entry/meet-drag-kid-desmond_n_5b3652c2e4b08c3a8f69d067">Huffington Post</a> to various gay publications.  In headlines, the child is described by these outlets with words like &#8220;Inspirational,&#8221; &#8220;Trail-blazing&#8221; and more. He&#8217;s been featured in more than one hundred different publications, networks or podcasts in total, per his <a href="https://www.desmondisamazing.com/biography-of-desmond-napoles">website</a>. One such <a href="https://player.fm/series/guys-we-fd-2473805/when-did-you-realize-desmond-was-amazing">podcast</a> he was on is titled &#8220;Guys We F***ed.&#8221; It is described as a show with &#8220;mature comedy, sexuality.&#8221;
A piece in <a href="https://www.huffpost.com/entry/meet-drag-kid-desmond_n_5b3652c2e4b08c3a8f69d067">Huffington Post</a> noted that, Desmond said the Club Kids of the early 1990s were his inspiration, making clear to emphasize that he was talking about &#8220;their fashion and makeup&#8221; and &#8220;not the bad things.&#8221; At the time of the piece the child was 10-years-old.
In 2020, the kid told the <a href="https://nypost.com/video/12-year-old-drag-kid-desmond-is-amazing-struts-his-stuff/">New York Post</a>, being a drag kid is &#8220;not bad, it&#8217;s not, like, child abuse.&#8221; and &#8220;I have a magic gay shield that just blocks all the haters.&#8221;
Napoles said the biggest misconception about him is that he&#8217;s transgender, which he said he&#8217;s not.
&#8220;I identify as gay,&#8221; Desmond shared at the time.
Napoles shared in the clip that he&#8217;s been going to Pride Parades since he was 4. His mother, Wendy, said, because I grew up with homosexual people in my family, I&#8217;ve always been a big ally of the LGBTQ community.&#8221;
Desmond has also participated in runway shows during New York Fashion Week for the likes of The Blonds x Disney Villains, along with collaborations with Drag Queen Merch, Fluide, GLAAD, GLSEN, Human Rights Campaign, NYC Pride, The Phluid Project, and more, according to his <a href="https://www.desmondisamazing.com/biography-of-desmond-napoles">website</a>.
None of what&#8217;s happened to Desmond should be acceptable, let alone, promoted in a civilized society.

When their two-year-old boy who liked dresses and dancing supposedly told his parents he identified as a girl, Jeanette and Greg Jennings decided their child, Jared Jennings, was not going through a &#8220;phase,&#8221; but was actually a girl.
So they raised their child as such. As Jeanette put it, her child would avoid &#8220;depression&#8221; and &#8220;suffering.&#8221;
But what has happened since then?
<h3>The Media Cultivation</h3>
Americans first got a glimpse of Jazz in 2007, when ABC&#8217;s 20/20 ran a <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eJ_BHY5RolA">special</a> on gender transitions in children.
&#8220;We&#8217;ll say things like, God made you special, because there aren&#8217;t very many girls out there that have a penis,&#8221; Jeanette told Barbara Walters. Jazz was just six years old at the time, had already had a transgender &#8220;coming out party,&#8221; and was living as a girl at home and at school.
&#8220;A phase is called a phase because it is just that: it ends, and this is not ending,&#8221; the mother emphasized. &#8220;This is just getting stronger.&#8221;
Walters painted Jeanette and Greg as &#8220;courageous and loving parents&#8221; who were absolutely saving their child &#8220;from a future of heartache and pain.&#8221;
Jeanette, with her husband by her side holding her hand, told Walters Jazz as a &#8220;baby came out and basically said, this is who I am. I&#8217;m a girl.&#8221;
When Jazz was just two years old, things started to change for the family.
&#8220;Mommy when&#8217;s the good fairy gonna come with her magic wand and change, ya know, my genitalia?&#8221; Jeanette recalled Jazz supposedly telling her at just two years old, explaining that Jazz wanted to &#8220;take off my penis&#8221; and &#8220;make it into a vagina.&#8221;
This was the turning point for Jeanette.
By age three, Jazz was fully living as a girl at home. At 4 1/2, Jazz was a girl inside the home and outside of the home. For Jazz&#8217;s fifth birthday party, the family swapped out a kid&#8217;s theme for a transgender coming-out party. 
Jeanette assured a completely sympathetic Walters that she was transitioning her child to save Jazz from being &#8220;depressed&#8221; and &#8220;suffering,&#8221; adding a prophetic, &#8220;What child should have to suffer?&#8221;

The family wasn&#8217;t done sharing Jazz&#8217;s story though. And neither was the media. The child&#8217;s YouTube show turned into a long-running reality TV show on TLC called &#8220;I am Jazz,&#8221; starting when Jazz was just 14 years old.
The show has provided the media with endless content to promote and normalize transgenderism in children. Jazz is a published author and a recipient of numerous awards, <a href="https://transkidspurplerainbow.org/featured/jazz-receives-prestigious-colin-higgins-youth-courage-award/">including</a> the prestigious Colin Higgins Youth Courage Award at age 11.
But there was a dark side, too.
<h3>Jazz Can&#8217;t Feel Sexual Pleasure </h3>
The Jennings&#8217; made sure Jazz&#8217;s puberty was blocked, which consequently stunted genital growth. Jazz, at age 18, disclosed an inability to experience sexual pleasure.

“Jazz as a medical case is really a conundrum because her puberty was blocked so well that she didn’t get growth of her genitals in a way that allows us as a surgeon to use a conventional approach,” surgeon Dr. Marci Bowers <a href="https://people.com/tv/jazz-jennings-talks-sexual-stuff-orgasm-libido-doctor-before-gender-confirmation-surgery/">said</a> when Jazz was 18-years-old.
For all of the world to see, Jazz spoke to Bowers about never experiencing an orgasm.

“The orgasm. The Big O,&#8221; Jazz said at the appointment. “There hasn’t been much change. My libido’s still basically nowhere.”

“Jazz does not know what an orgasm is and it’s very important when expressing intimacy,” Bowers said. “And although it is not something that’s going to delay surgery, it’s not going to be any easier for her to have an orgasm after surgery.”
Notably, in 2019, Jazz openly worried about ever enjoying sex because of &#8220;how &#8216;effed up my whole vagina is.&#8221;
Before the third surgery in 2020, Jazz <a href="https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/i-am-jazz-fans-react-to-jazz-jennings-sex-museum-outing-with-her-brother.html/">wondered</a>, “I mean, my biggest concern is, I still haven’t had an orgasm.”
“I’m a little less euphoric arriving to New York this time than I was for my original vaginoplasty,” Jazz said on his show. “Obviously the first time, it was a big surgery, and now we’re on the third surgery.”

<h3>Three Grueling, Risky &#8216;Corrective&#8217; Surgeries</h3>

Jazz first underwent so-called &#8220;bottom surgery,&#8221; which changes the male patient&#8217;s penis to something that resembles a vagina, at just 17 years old, in 2018. There were complications, and Jazz needed a second surgery, which turned into a third surgery.

“She had a very incredible first surgery — it went seemingly very well, but there were problems,” Dr. Bowers conceded when Jazz was 19. “And that prompted a second surgery, which I was not a part of, unfortunately.”

“Taking Jazz on as a patient for surgery, we knew it was going to be a one-of-a-kind surgery,” Dr. Jess Ting added. “We don’t have the experience of having said we’ve done 50 of these. I was just not expecting her to have a complication as severe as what she did have.”

“This has been a real journey, hasn’t it? We knew it would be tough — it turned out tougher than any of us imagined,” Bowers admitted. “I think in hindsight we would have never sent you home from the hospital. You know, easy to say now. <h3>The Depression And Weight Gain</h3>
Jazz has been open about dealing with depression and an overeating disorder. As a result of struggling with serious mental health issues, in fact, the reality star had to defer going to Harvard University.
&#8220;Two years ago, I was on my way to [Harvard] one of the greatest institutions in the world, but I was actually struggling severely with mental health issues,&#8221; Jazz <a href="https://www.nickiswift.com/651042/the-truth-about-jazz-jennings-tense-family-issues-due-to-her-weight-gain/?utm_campaign=clip">said</a> on Season 7 of &#8220;I am Jazz,&#8221; which aired in 2021.
“I was actually struggling severely with mental health issues,&#8221; Jazz added. &#8220;I started binge-eating and I gained weight and more weight and more weight. And now, almost 100 pounds heavier, here I am today.&#8221;
In June of that year, Jazz, then about 234 pounds, posted side-by-side photos of the weight gain.

My binging, along with an increased appetite I experience from some of the meds I’m on, has caused me to gain almost 100 pounds in a little less than 2 years. I’m posting this photo because it’s time for me to address my weight gain and hold myself accountable.&#8221;
“I do experience fat-shaming from my family,” Jazz said on the show. “It makes me feel really humiliated.”

Who knew that being dressed up as a little girl by my grandmother when I was a four-year-old boy would lead to undergoing “sex change surgery” in my forties, and who knew that, now in my eighties, I would be writing to testify to the insanity of thinking anyone can “transition” from a man to a woman or vice versa?
Only someone who was subjected to repeated cross-dressing at a young age can appreciate the heavy emotional and psychological damage it inflicts. For two years, my grandmother planted the seed that something was wrong with me as a boy. She made me a purple chiffon evening dress, placed it on my little body, and affirmed how cute I was as a girl. The emotional and psychological child abuse she inflicted upon me resulted in devastating consequences. My father eventually discovered what his mother-in-law had been doing to his little boy and decided to enlist heavy discipline in order to make a man out of me. When my uncle, a teenager at the time, heard about the dress my grandmother had encouraged me to wear, he taunted me, and his bullying escalated to sexual abuse. 
In high school, I projected the cool swagger of the “Happy Days” generation with loads of friends and an eye-catching hot rod. In my twenties, I married, became the proud father of two children, and established myself in a successful career, first in aerospace and then in the automobile industry. However, the only options I saw to relieve the emotional and mental distress occupying my troubled psyche as a young adult were cross-dressing and alcohol. Indulging in these constant companions of mine only allowed their stranglehold on me to grow.
For some reason, no one considers the consequences and harm that may impact a child’s entire lifetime after an adult introduces and promotes trans identities to their impressionable mind. When schools suggest to children that they might identify as the other sex — rather than with the sex they were born with — there may be destructive aftermaths in relation the core of these children’s identities, similar to the ways in which my grandmother’s messaging negatively affected me. Transgenderism is rooted in lies, and people who are already troubled and made vulnerable by childhood events — as I was — are easy prey. 
The first huge lie asserts that gender is different from the biological sex that is “assigned” at birth. The belief that gender is “assigned at birth” and is different from sex would be laughable if it weren’t so insidiously dangerous. Using the word “assigned” leads to the mistaken belief that one’s gender can be “reassigned.” Believing that a doctor assigns a baby’s gender/sex dismisses science, biology, and the ability to think rationally. 
The truth is that biological sex is fixed and unchangeable, determined in the womb months before a mother delivers her baby into the world. The claim of “transitioning” flies in the face of the biological reality of sperm meets egg. No doctor, surgeon, cross-sex hormone, surgery, or wishful thought will ever be effective in changing anyone’s gender/sex — it’s physically fixed in the womb. 
The next lie insists that the proper treatment for a “misassigned” gender is to reshape the body’s appearance through cross-sex hormones and genital surgery. The so-called “gender-affirming” surgery is a medical fraud of epic proportions.
I fell for this lie and underwent surgery in 1983. I erased my identity as Walt and assumed the identity of Laura Jensen, a female. It seems incredulous to think that a doctor can effectively unwind a male and recreate him into the biological equal of a real women or vice versa. I, however, naively believed the doctors when they assured me that surgery would fix what ailed me. Unfortunately, it was only a temporary reprieve. The little boy who had been abused was still inside and needed psychological healing. Living in my adopted female persona for eight years didn’t solve my troubles, rather it made them worse. I became suicidal. 
“Gender-affirming” therapy almost caused me to end my life. I thank God it didn’t. Years of heart-wrenching counseling under multiple therapists, faithfully pursuing sobriety, and having an encounter with Jesus Christ restored my sanity. I detransitioned and married a (real) woman, and now I tell my story as a cautionary tale to others. I live with the scars and effects of unnecessary surgery and its long-lasting consequences. 
There is nothing a doctor or surgeon can do that will cause a biological change of innate sex. The doctor who diagnosed me with gender dysphoria and approved my surgical procedure, Dr. Paul Walker Ph.D., and the renowned sex change surgeon who performed my surgery, Dr. Stanley Biber, prove my point. In a <a href="https://sexchangeregret.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Doctors-letter-to-Superior-Court.pdf">document</a> prepared for San Mateo Superior Court of California to reinstate my birth certificate to Walt, both testified that hormones and surgery failed to change my sex.
Everyone keeps asking: “Why the sudden increase in transgender identities?” 
I believe the explosion is the direct result of the American Psychiatric Association (APA) changing the diagnosis in 2013 from “gender identity disorder” to “gender dysphoria” in The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual used when diagnosing mental disorders. The APA <a href="https://www.psychiatry.org/psychiatrists/practice/dsm/educational-resources/dsm-5-fact-sheets">stated</a> that the change was necessary for eliminating stigma, inherent in the word disorder, but the change maintains a diagnosis code that is usable for insurance coverage. 
As a result, therapists stopped diagnosing and treating coexisting disorders that are <a href="http://ajp.psychiatryonline.org/article.aspx?articleID=176330">common</a> to people with gender issues. These coexisting disorders include schizophrenia, dissociative disorder, bipolar disorder, and body dysmorphic disorder. Sexual fetish and arousal disorders, prevalent in heterosexual men who are stirred by wearing women’s clothing, are also ignored. Essentially, only one diagnosis now inhabits the gender therapist’s toolbox: gender dysphoria. 
Treatment for gender dysphoria is barbaric — cutting off women’s breasts, filling patients with cross-sex hormones, cutting off or refashioning male genitalia, installing pseudo penises on females—and it’s pushed indiscriminately on adults and youth alike. The practice makes Dr. Frankenstein look sane.
In a world pushing body mutilation as a treatment for a psychiatric condition, I’ve made it my mission to offer hope to those like me who don’t want to live life in an alternate reality. None of us had gender dysphoria, and none of us benefited from transitioning. 100% of the people who have reached out to me for help over the years have been able to identify what caused them to not like who they are. In my case, the cause was abuse at the hands of my grandmother, father, and uncle. 
Researchers call these events <a href="https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/basics/adverse-childhood-experiences">Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs)</a>, described broadly and simply as “a range of negative situations a child may face or witness while growing up.” The effects are deeply traumatic. <a href="https://thebestbrainpossible.com/mental-health-trauma-aces/">ACEs</a> “interfere with the normal maturation of a child’s brain and alter the brain at a deep level where the most basic needs original and a person’s identity is formed.” For impressionable adolescents, ACEs include social indoctrination: gender fluid and sexualized school curriculum and activities, entertainment, peers, pornography, trans-affirming social media groups, or trans fantasy video games. 
Children being indoctrinated into a trans identity need to be removed from the grooming influences and counseled back to wholeness.Afflicted adults need to seek out a trauma therapist in order to heal from the adverse experiences of childhood.
To do otherwise, as my story illustrates, is malpractice.

I Underwent Gender Transition Surgery. Here’s Why I Regret It

According to a March 14, 2022, <a href="https://wng.org/roundups/hitting-the-brakes-on-transgender-treatments-for-youth-1647283935">article</a> in World magazine by Mary Jackson, “in recent months, medical groups and establishments in multiple countries have called for putting the brakes on hormone and surgical interventions for youth.”
This includes Sweden, where on February 22, the Board of Health and Welfare declared that “‘uncertain science and new knowledge’ had prompted it to recommend restraint in using hormone treatments except in ‘exceptional cases.’ It advised psychological and psychiatric support as the first line of treatment. The board said it could not explain a 1,500 percent increase in gender dysphoria diagnoses among 13- to 17-year-old girls between 2008 and 2018.”
The article goes on to state that “Sweden’s biggest gender identity center, Karolinska University Hospital in Stockholm, announced last year it would no longer prescribe puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones to minors, except in a clinical trial setting. Finland similarly updated its treatment guidelines in 2020 to prioritize psychological help for youth experiencing gender distress.”
Relatedly, on February 28 in France, the National Academy of Medicine “called for medical practitioners to exercise ‘the greatest caution’ in administering puberty blockers or cross-sex hormones to French youth struggling with gender dysphoria.”
This is not a new conversation among European doctors, however. In 2019, England’s Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7220897/GPs-risk-transgender-storm-issuing-unprecedented-warning-lack-evidence-treatments.html">cautioned</a> that “there is a lack of ‘robust evidence’ about the long-term effects of puberty-blockers and hormonal drugs.&#8221;
Furthermore, “in a 12-page position paper, the RCGP complained that family doctors were under pressure to provide gender dysphoria services that ‘lie outside the remit’ of their generalist expertise. The paper <a href="https://www.rcgp.org.uk/policy/rcgp-policy-areas/transgender-care.aspx">advises</a> that more research is needed on the pros and cons of medical treatment vs. a less dramatic ‘wait and see’ approach.”
And this April in the U.K., after much waffling, the government <a href="https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-60947028">announced</a> that “therapy to attempt to change people’s sexuality will be outlawed, but those practices carried out to try to change people’s gender identity will not.” 
So, as radical as the government’s stance is in regard to the dangers of so-called “conversion therapy,” it is taking a more cautious stance when it comes to helping people with unwanted gender confusion. 
America, however, appears to be going in the opposite direction. Jackson <a href="https://wng.org/roundups/hitting-the-brakes-on-transgender-treatments-for-youth-1647283935">observes</a>, “in the United States, by contrast, the medical establishment continues to promote an ‘affirmation-only’ model of treating childhood gender dysphoria while stifling debate over evidence-based treatments.”
Furthermore, President Biden recently <a href="https://www.nbcnews.com/feature/nbc-out/biden-issues-first-presidential-proclamation-trans-day-visibility-n1262613">proclaimed</a> the first-ever Trans Day of Visibility after making this <a href="https://www.them.us/story/joe-biden-2022-state-of-the-union-lgbtq-anti-trans-laws">an issue</a> in his first State of the Union speech in March. And already in 2021, his administration <a href="https://www.them.us/story/biden-administration-took-legal-action-against-states-anti-trans-laws">declared legal war</a> on those states that seek to protect trans-identified kids from life-altering hormone treatments and sex-change surgeries. 
On a grassroots level, in February 2021, Amazon <a href="https://www.breakpoint.org/amazon-bans-when-harry-became-sally/">banned</a> Ryan Anderson’s important <a href="https://www.christianbook.com/harry-became-sally-responding-transgender-moment/ryan-anderson/9781594039614/pd/141598">book</a> “When Harry Became Sally: Responding to the Transgender Moment,” without any possible justification. Previously, in 2020, while not banning Abigail Shrier’s watershed <a href="https://www.amazon.com/Irreversible-Damage-Transgender-Seducing-Daughters/dp/1684510317/ref=sr_1_2?crid=2JNSN4MJ55MSZ&amp;dchild=1&amp;keywords=irreversible%20damage%20the%20transgender%20craze%20seducing%20our%20daughters&amp;qid=1592759746&amp;sprefix=irreversible%20damage%2Caps%2C228&amp;sr=8-2&amp;fbclid=IwAR3q-Lpt3siamjYo-P7oEHFgN6uW_t8QfuWxEtUX0s9F-KkxXE8WpSXV5QY">volume</a>, “Irreversible Damage: The Transgender Craze Seducing Our Daughters,” Amazon <a href="https://www.regnery.com/blog/2020/06/23/christian-post-amazon-bans-ads-for-book-on-how-transgender-ideology-harms-girls-young-women/#:~:text=Regnery%20Publishing%2C%20a%20Washington%20D.C.-based%20conservative%20company%20that,ad%20space%20on%20Amazon%20to%20promote%20the%20book.">banned</a> Regnery Books, the publisher, from advertising the book on their site.
Talk about stifling the truth and attempting <a href="https://smile.amazon.com/Silencing-Lambs-Ominous-Culture-Overcome/dp/1629999849">to silence the lambs</a>. Talk about cancel culture raising its head in a concerted way, all with the goal of suppressing the truth about transgenderism.
And what happens to breakaway groups like the American College of Pediatricians that, for years now, have been trying to warn about the dangers of trans-affirming therapies and surgeries for children? They are <a href="https://archive.thinkprogress.org/american-college-pediatricians-transgender-kids-falsehoods-384716df13c5/">blasted</a> as frauds and liars in headlines like this: “Fake Medical Organization Publishes Lie-Ridden Manifesto Attacking Transgender Kids.” (Respected medical leaders like <a href="https://www.wsj.com/articles/standing-against-psychiatrys-crazes-11556920766">Dr. Paul McHugh</a> have long been <a href="https://www.transadvocate.com/worlds-experts-condemn-the-mchugh-hoax_n_13924.htm">demonized</a> for <a href="https://www.wsj.com/articles/paul-mchugh-transgender-surgery-isnt-the-solution-1402615120">rejecting</a> transgender surgery.)
Back in December 2018, Harvard Medical School ran a <a href="https://hms.harvard.edu/news/transforming-transgender-care">story</a> titled, “Transforming Transgender Care: $1.5 million gift kick-starts sexual, gender minority health equity initiative.” Harvard was determined to right these perceived wrongs, starting with the training offered in the classrooms of their prestigious medical school.
Why is it, then, that other countries are seeing the light and, within America, individual states are seeing the light (see <a href="https://freedomforallamericans.org/legislative-tracker/anti-transgender-legislation/">here</a> for a hostile report), but the overall national atmosphere seems to remain so blindly and aggressively in favor of transitioning children?
There are even voices from within the transgender community sounding the alarm, led by the fearless and outspoken Kellie (“Scott”) Newgent. (See <a href="https://www.newsweek.com/we-need-balance-when-it-comes-gender-dysphoric-kids-i-would-know-opinion-1567277">here</a> for her landmark article in Newsweek; see <a href="https://youtu.be/JsNmvH9Alh4">here</a> for our very candid, eye-opening interview on my radio broadcast.) Others now speaking up include <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2022/04/13/opinion/transgender-culture-war.html">Dr. Erica Anderson</a> as well as <a href="https://stream.org/i-warned-that-doctors-were-experimenting-with-transgender-children-now-a-leading-transgender-doctor-is-sounding-the-alarm/">Dr. Marci Bowers</a>, who performed the sex-change surgery on Jazz Jennings. This is quite ironic given Dr. Bowers’ <a href="https://youtu.be/E1o2Im6t6Mo">responses to me</a> back in 2009 on “The Tyra Banks Show.”
Newgent <a href="https://www.newsweek.com/we-need-balance-when-it-comes-gender-dysphoric-kids-i-would-know-opinion-1567277">wrote</a> in February 2021, “no long-term studies have been conducted on children who grow up without the benefit of natural puberty. No studies at all have been done on de-transitioners (people who return to identifying as their natal sex). What are the psychological effects? No one has a clue, and researchers are too often <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4979498/James-Caspian-attacked-transgender-children-comments.html">shut down by cancel culture</a> for even raising the questions.”
The question, again, is why?
One answer is compassion. People really care about trans-identified kids and want to help them find a better life.
The problem with that answer is that compassion would also listen carefully to the stories of those seeking to detransition, such as <a href="https://www.persuasion.community/p/keira-bell-my-story?s=r">Keira Bell</a>. Additionally, compassion would not seek to muzzle people like Newgent. (Kellie told me she frequently gets death threats and death wishes from others in the LGBTQ+ community.) Further, are the healthcare providers in countries like Finland and Sweden lacking compassion when they call for caution? To the contrary, it is compassion, coupled with <a href="https://www.thepublicdiscourse.com/2020/09/71296/">medical science</a>, that is moving them.
What, then, is driving this radical ideology in the U.S.?
In my view, one answer is the radical ideology itself. This is a cultural battle, a <a href="https://josephmattera.org/is-society-heading-towards-gender-neutrality-and-trans-humanism/">fundamental attack</a> on God creating us male and female, a rebellion against the gender binary. Hence, care for the children is not the ultimate goal (although that may be the case for some). <a href="https://askdrbrown.org/library/why-have-leftists-replaced-black-rights-gay-rights-and-women-s">Pushing an ideology</a> is the driving force.
Others point to greed as the motivating factor, as every trans-identified child becomes a potential patient for life, amounting to millions of dollars in hormone prescriptions and surgeries. Never underestimate the power of greed! (Remember 1 Timothy 6:10 (NIV), which states that “the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil.”)
Could that be another major contributing factor?
Writing for the New York Times on April 13, Ross Douthat made this <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2022/04/13/opinion/transgender-culture-war.html">prediction</a>: “Within not too short a span of time, not only conservatives but most liberals will recognize that we have been running an experiment on trans-identifying youth without good or certain evidence, inspired by ideological motives rather than scientific rigor, in a way that future generations will regard as a grave medical-political scandal.
“Which means that if you are a liberal who believes as much already, but you don’t feel comfortable saying it, your silence will eventually become your regret.”
Dr. McHugh put it even more sharply in a 2019 <a href="https://www.wsj.com/articles/standing-against-psychiatrys-crazes-11556920766">interview</a>: “Either the plastic surgeons and the transgender psychiatrists are right and I’m wrong — and if that’s the case, they will have done a lot of good by opposing me, and I will have been a drag on the system —or the opposite. Suppose they’re wrong and I’m right? They will have mutilated thousands of children, and I will look good. Who do you think is sleeping better at night?”
Douthat and McHugh are exactly right, which is why now is the time for Americans, with one voice, to put a stop to this <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/sociological-contagion-and-the-growing-non-binary-movement">barbaric attack</a> on our children, from the classroom to the hospital and from social media to the courts. Enough is enough, and there is certainly a <a href="https://www.focusonthefamily.com/family-qa/support-for-parent-whose-adult-child-identifies-as-transgender/">better way</a> to <a href="https://www.help4families.org/help4families">help</a> these kids find wholeness from the inside out.

How Do Gender Transitions Impact Children? Here’s What The Science Says

Gender idealogues say that Lia Thomas is a woman, but they cannot tell you what they mean when they say that. What is a woman? Gender theory has made it so that the word “woman” itself, and the word man, have no meaning. Leftists, because of their ideological commitments, cannot define the terms. They say trans women are women. They say that someone can start out life as a male and transition into a woman. But how can I understand any of these claims and declarations if I do not know how they define the word woman? And how can they make any meaningful statements about women if they themselves do not know what they mean by it? So I ask very simply, as I have been asking for years, as I asked on Dr. Phil: what is a woman?
They say that biology has nothing to do with womanhood. Well, then what does have something to do with womanhood? If we cannot define a woman physically, how can we define her? What is a woman? What does the word mean? If you are on the Left, what exactly are you trying to say the word, woman, means? When you say that such and such biological man is a woman, what are you actually trying to convey about that person? What do you mean that Lia Thomas is a woman? What is that supposed to mean?

I have been told, by the few that attempted to give an answer, that a woman is anyone who identifies as a woman. But that definition doesn’t work because you can’t use the word you’re defining in the definition. If I ask you for the definition of “apple” and you tell me “an apple is that which is an apple” — or even worse, “that which looks like an apple” — you have told me nothing about apples. The same goes for a woman.
You might say that a woman is an adult human female or anyone who identifies as an adult human female. But that is just another way of saying that a woman is an adult human female or not an adult human female. And that’s just another way of saying that a woman is nothing in particular. “Woman” has no definition if that is the definition. Also, the person offering that definition is him or herself drawing a distinction between a person who is the thing and a person who identifies as the thing. By drawing the distinction, a person is admitting that there is a definitional difference. The very phrase “trans women are women” seems to admit, in its construction, that trans women are not women. If they were women, why are you calling them trans? What does the trans part denote? In order for the phrase “trans women are women” to mean anything, trans women have to be a category distinct from women. If they aren’t, then the phrase is a meaningless redundancy. But if they are distinct, then they aren’t women. So if “trans women are women,” means anything, it means nothing.
What is a female? Well, a female is someone with XX chromosomes, a female reproductive system,  female gametes, or eggs, and the ability in principle to ovulate and bear offspring. There are females who suffer from illnesses, injuries, or malformations  — or who simply are post-menopausal — which prevent them from bearing offspring. This does not make them any less female. It is instead an exception that proves the rule. 
Here’s why: When a female cannot bear children, we know that something has prevented an otherwise natural process. But when a man cannot bear children, we know that it is not a sign of anything having gone wrong, because men are not supposed to bear children, and no man in history ever has. If, as a woman, you go to the doctor and tell him that you are unable to conceive children in your womb, he will run some tests to figure out why, because a reason preventing normal child bearing exists. If, as a man, you go to the doctor and tell him that you are unable to conceive children in your womb, he will run some tests to figure out what’s wrong with your mind. Or at least, that’s how he would have responded until recently. Now, because society has lost its mind, he might give the man hormone pills to help him transition into a woman. But you will note that, even after transition, still the man will not be able to ovulate or conceive children or perform any other exclusively female function, because he is not a female, and will never be one. 
Thomas is and will always be a male, with XY chromosomes, male anatomy (as the women who’ve seen him in the locker room have attested), and male gametes. But there is a lot more to being a male than just that. Indeed, the physical differences between men and women are not confined to the reproductive system. They can be found in every bodily system. In every part of the body. Lia Thomas, like any male, is male down to his bones, down to his cells, down to his DNA. When he dies and is buried beneath a giant monument celebrating him as history’s greatest female athlete, 100 years hence he could be excavated and his bones analyzed and scientists will be very confused to discover that the greatest female athlete is a male. His bones will attest to the biological reality. They will not declare his pronouns or affirm his self-perception. There will be no self. The self is gone. But the man remains. 
Many of these biological differences happen to give him a distinct advantage over women in sports, especially swimming. When Thomas got in the pool earlier this month at Georgia Tech, he swam against people with 20 percent less muscle mass on average, 40 percent <a href="https://www.bbc.com/future/article/20171027-what-if-women-were-physically-stronger-than-men">less</a> upper body strength, 33 percent <a href="https://www.bbc.com/future/article/20171027-what-if-women-were-physically-stronger-than-men">less</a> lower body strength, as well as smaller fast-twitch muscle fibers, smaller lungs, smaller hearts, shorter legs, more estrogen and less testosterone, and a lower capacity to produce oxygen when they exert themselves. Courageously, Thomas has chosen to race against people who have literally dozens of immutable biological disadvantages in comparison to himself. 
These advantages are why the fastest man in the world is always faster than the fastest woman. And if the fastest man dies, the next fastest will be faster than the fastest woman. In fact, if the 100 fastest men all got on a plane to go on a fastest man retreat, and the plane tragically crashed, and they all died, the 101st fastest man, who is now the fastest man by inheritance, would still be faster than the fastest woman. And then the next 100 fastest men, if they tried to go to the same retreat, and they all crashed and died too, the next batch of 100 would still all be faster than the fastest woman, and so on. Same for the strongest men vs the strongest women. The Olympics attest to this. There has never been a time — never, not ever — when the women’s racing or swimming champions were faster on average than the men. It has  never happened, ever, in history, and never will. These advantages are why there is a whole <a href="https://boysvswomen.com/#/">website</a> dedicated to comparing high school boys track and field champions against female Olympians. 
The high school boys outperform the female olympians in almost every category, by huge margins. Here is an example. The New Balance Nationals Outdoor meet is one of the preeminent high school track meets in the country. If the 2016 High School Boys Finalists in the 100 meter were to have raced against the 2016 female Olympic finalists, the fastest woman would have come in 9th place. 9th. Gold, silver, bronze, and places 4 through 8 would all be held by high school boys, against female Olympians. This holds true in almost every event. And it’s not just track, and not just hypothetical. Back in 2017, a team of 15-year-old boys scrimmaged against the U.S. Women&#8217;s National Soccer Team and won, handily, <a href="https://www.cbssports.com/soccer/news/a-dallas-fc-under-15-boys-squad-beat-the-u-s-womens-national-team-in-a-scrimmage/">5 to 2</a>. Male and female athletes are so different, separated by such a vast biological chasm, that you can actually count the total number of dunks made by WNBA players in the history of the league. That number: 28. And <a href="https://www.espn.com/wnba/story/_/id/32258450/2021-wnba-playoffs-brittney-griner-owns-wnba-dunking-record-coming-more">23</a> of them were by the same player. There’s a player in the NBA who dunked the ball 300 times by himself in one season. That’s one player in one year dunking it ten times more than the entire WNBA over the course of a quarter century. Men and women are different. A lot different. 
Men are stronger. They are faster. They are better at almost every competitive sport. Literally every line of evidence supports this. All of the evidence — all of it — supports the claim that men in general have biological advantages over women in sports. There is no evidence going the other way. Which is why the gender ideologues on that side do not produce evidence. They have none to produce. They cannot defend their position. They cannot even really explain it because they run into a basic logical problem. 
What it comes down to is that if the word woman means nothing, it would be nonsensical to identify as one, given that you’re identifying as something that is not really anything. Is a woman, in the end, just anyone who enjoys feminine things or dresses in a feminine way? Well, that can’t be it because we can’t define “feminine” until we have defined “woman.” Besides, the Left has been trying to break down the societal constructs of feminine vs masculine for years. You can’t go from “not all women should be expected to be feminine” to “the only defining characteristic of womanhood is femininity.” You can’t do a 180 and undermine everything you’ve been saying for the last 60 years and expect some sense to come from that. So what is a woman, according to the Left?
They cannot answer. They insist that our conception of womanhood is wrong and then when we ask them what the right conception is, they shrug their shoulders. “We don’t know what a woman is,” they say, “but whatever a woman is, Lia Thomas is it.” This is nonsense. And we all know that it is nonsense. Even most of them know that it is nonsense.  Yet we are supposed to cooperate with the idea anyway. We are supposed to abandon all the fundamental truths that all of us know, and have always known, and we are supposed to do it for no reason other than the fact that it will hurt the feelings of whoever identifies as trans if we don’t. And of course, those feelings are the only feelings that matter. Those feelings, for some reason, are supposed to outweigh the feelings of women who don’t want their sports destroyed and their privacy invaded and their very identities appropriated and stolen, cheapened, fetishized, turned into a Halloween costume. The feelings of a million women are dust when stacked up against the feelings of one gender confused dude. All of reality is dust. The truth is dust. Biology. Everything. All of it is to be discarded for one trans person’s feelings. 
Well, I say: no. I urge you all to say “no.” Do not affirm what you know are lies. Do not cooperate with what you know is wrong. Do not abandon what you know is true. Do not pretend to believe what you do not believe. It takes courage to say no in this world. It’s a word that is not said nearly enough. But all of the gender ideologues need to hear it now. All of the liars and frauds trying to coerce and shame us into surrendering our common sense need to give ear. All of the cry-bullies using emotional blackmail because they have no arguments and everyone  demanding that we pretend to believe what we do not believe need to hear it. All of them, everywhere, they all need to hear a resounding voice of reason and conviction saying: no.

What Is A Woman? Why The Left Can’t Answer The Question

Through an Executive Order signed on his first day in office, President Biden is now asking women across America to step aside and let biological males win their races, take their spots on competitive teams, and erase everything they have worked and trained for, all in the pursuit of “fairness, equity and justice.”
In effect, Biden is asking women and girls to be gracious and smile politely from the sidelines as they accept third, fourth or fifth place as biological males dominate the competition, sweeping up girls athletic state championships and college scholarships. 
This is exactly what has happened in Connecticut, where two biologically male runners brought home 15 women’s state championship titles between 2017 and 2019.
Speaking with Fox News, female high school track star Selina Soule condemned the “continued unfairness” of the policy which allows “transgender high school athletes to compete without restrictions.”
“I lost out on countless opportunities to get placements, get titles, and qualify for further meets to display my talents to college coaches,” she <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/media/connecticut-transgender-athletes-lawsuit-title-ix">said</a>.
Soule is among three female Connecticut athletes and their mothers, who are now fighting in the courts for the right to compete fairly in athletic events. Biden’s executive order makes this fight harder, with more states likely to follow Connecticut’s ignominious lead.
Those girls, who have trained, sacrificed and excelled, should have emerged as girls track champions. Instead, they have been sidelined by the biological males who beat them to the finish line.
Women should not be relegated to clapping politely from the bench while biological males pump their fists in victory at the finish line.
Given that Democrats claim to be the party of science, the following scientific <a href="https://work.chron.com/physiological-differences-between-male-female-athletes-20627.html">facts</a> seem relevant when arguing that biological differences exist, and that such differences provide one sex with a physical advantage over the other.

<blockquote>The ratio of muscle mass to body weight is higher in males, which provides greater speed and acceleration. This explains why women’s speed records in swimming and running are consistently slower than those of men, and why, on average, women have two thirds of the strength of men.</blockquote>

For example, the fastest female sprinter in the world, Allyson Felix, has a lifetime best of 49.26 seconds in the 400 meter run. Based on 2018 data, nearly 300 high school boys in the US alone could beat that time. Given such biological disparity, any form of physical competition between males and females is demonstrably unfair.
Some transgender advocates insist that hormone therapy erases the physical advantages of male athletes. Hogwash. Hormone therapy cannot and does not magically decrease the size of a male’s larger and longer bones, his larger and stronger tendons, nor his larger heart and lung capacity.
While estrogen therapy can increase fat and decrease muscle mass in men, a study of males transitioning into females at Sweden’s Karolinska Institute found that even after one year of testosterone suppression, transgender women showed only a 5% loss of muscle mass, with markers such as muscle strength, size, and composition still significantly greater for transgender women over biological women. Not to mention that many transgender women aren’t even required to prove that they are taking testosterone blockers — just the fact that they identify as a woman is enough to get them a spot on the girls team.
Despite the usual accusations, such views have nothing to do with discrimination or antipathy. For example, there should be no concern regarding transgender males competing with biological males, as they have no unfair physical advantages.
We should never disparage anyone’s right to live freely and authentically as they choose, as long as it doesn’t infringe on anyone else’s rights or opportunities. 
But by allowing biological males to compete against females, the rights of women and girls to fair and safe competition are being dangerously infringed upon. Female athletes shouldn’t be lectured about “empathy” or “fairness” as they watch biological men shatter athletic records in women’s cycling, weightlifting and track and field. 
This nonsensical reality will only get worse as the media slavishly lauds transgender athletes as brave and heroic victims of injustice, featuring them on the covers of national magazines and fawning television interviews. 
Where is the empathy for the young women who have devoted their lives to athletic training, only to see their hopes and dreams unfairly dashed? Indeed, the response is usually quite the opposite: women and girls who speak up for their rights in sports are often maligned as selfish, hateful, or worse. It has been disheartening to see tennis legend Martina Navratilova and author J.K. Rowling trashed as bigots for daring to recognize the obvious unfairness to women athletes and openly name it as such.  
In the words of the young Connecticut athlete Selina Soule, “It’s very frustrating and heartbreaking when us girls are at the start of the race and we already know that these athletes are going to come out and win no matter how hard you try.” It’s past time for feminists to stand up and say that girls shouldn’t be bullied into accepting third place in races they’ve won.
