About six months ago, I was working at a small gun store in Texas. An older gentleman wearing faded jeans, a tucked-in navy blue polo shirt, gold-framed glasses, and a hat that read &#8220;WWII Vet&#8221; (with ribbons and marking I did not recognize) was rolled into the store in his wheelchair. On this gentleman’s lap was a faded olive drab soft long gun case and another case, but for a pistol. At first, I did not give him a second glance.
As the veteran rolled up to the counter to sell two of his guns, a co-worker unzipped the long gun case and pulled out a nearly pristine M1 Garand. It was a beautiful gun, in perfect working condition, and it even had a gold U.S. Marine Corps emblem rooted to the stock. My co-worker then proceeded to unzip the pistol case — and that is when my eyes lit up. Out came a Walther P38 in nearly perfect condition, save for a small crack in the back of the grip. After ensuring the Walther was clear, my co-worker handed it to me and told me to look closer. There, on the side of the gun, I found myself staring into the eyes of hate. The Reichsadler, or the Nazi eagle symbol, was emblazoned on the side of the Walther.
I knew at that moment that I had to have it.
To be clear, the date stamped on the firearm is &#8220;AC G 44.&#8221; That means that this gun was manufactured in June of 1944 and was most likely not used as part of the Holocaust. With the Allies landing in Normandy on June 6 of that year, this pistol was most likely sent to a frontline Third Reich officer to fight the Allies.
But here is why I felt a need to purchase this Nazi gun.
My son asked me one day to take him shooting at the range. While there, we got to talking about the Second Amendment. I explained to him that the Second Amendment was written into our Constitution to make sure that we, as Americans, have the ability to defend ourselves against a tyrannical government. My 10-year-old, who is an avid reader and a bit of a history nut, asked what that meant. I explained to him that a tyrannical government takes away all the freedoms that people might enjoy in the place they live.
I went on to explain that Hitler was a tyrant who took away Jews&#8217; guns and then proceeded to murder six million of us. “The Jews couldn’t fight back?” he asked. “Well, some did. But many did not have a chance and were killed,” I responded.
For me, purchasing a Walther P38 with the Nazi insignia is the purest form of revenge. It is also the perfect educational tool to help ensure freedom. I explained to my son after buying the weapon that the only thing that ultimately separates a free people from a tyrannical government is the private arsenal that a civilian population owns.
“What happened to Hitler and the Nazis?” I asked my son. “They lost to the Americans,” he answered. “Is the gun still here? Are the Jews still here?” I asked back. “Yes,” he responded.
Indeed, the Jews and the guns are still here. The Third Reich is not! A gun in the hands of a good person can determine the difference in a situation: The difference between freedom and tyranny, the difference between life and death.
Having a stamp of hatred on a firearm does not make the gun bad. The gun itself is not inherently bad. Whether the gun is good or bad is determined by one thing: Whether the holder is good or bad. My Walther P38 was used by a regime that ended up costing the lives of millions of my Jewish brethren, as well as millions more innocent lives. The fact that I am an observant Jew and my gun has Nazi insignia is a stark reminder that a gun can be used for good or bad.
Sometimes you need to pick up your enemy&#8217;s sword and use it against him.

Anti-Semitism is on the rise in America: Shootings, stabbings, swastikas painted on buildings and sidewalks, and a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/hammer-stark-choice-facing-jewish-democrats-josh-hammer">Democratic Party that condones anti-Semitic views</a> constitute the new normal in what was once an incredibly safe country for Jews.
Two weeks ago, there was a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/jersey-city-shootout-assailants-kill-police-officer-3-orthodox-jews">targeted shooting in New Jersey</a>, which claimed the lives of two Jews. This week, a man walked into a Chanukah party in Monsey, New York and stabbed numerous Jews. Attacks, especially in the Tri-State area, are happening in what <a href="https://nypost.com/2019/12/29/how-liberals-are-allowing-anti-semitism-to-flourish/">seems like a daily occurrence</a>.
However, it’s apparent that far too many American Jews are merely waiting for the wolves to strike.
Unfortunately, many American Jews believe that anti-Semitic attacks will not — simply CANNOT — happen to them. They don’t believe a murderous gunman will enter their synagogue. They don&#8217;t expect to be stabbed or beaten on the streets. They don’t expect it — but it’s happening with increasing frequency.
So, I ask this question to the Jews of America who think this way: When did we become sheep? What happened to our David versus Goliath mentality?
Jews have a history of being fierce warriors and not backing down from a fight. Here are some biblical examples:

<li>Abraham battled four kingdoms and was victorious.</li>
<li>The Jews fought the Amalakites and were victorious.</li>
<li>The campaigns of Joshua.</li>
</ul>
You don’t like the biblical ones? Here are some more modern-day Jewish heroes.
<ul>
<li>Mordechai Anielewicz (leader of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising).</li>
<li>Abba Kovner (leader of the Vilna Partisans).</li>
<li>Eli Cohen (Mossad spy).</li>
<li>Mickey Marcus (American colonel who helped win the 1948 war for Israel&#8217;s independence).</li>
</ul>
There are numerous examples of Jews standing up to adversity and not being afraid of a fight. Jews have a long and storied history of being fierce warriors — not vulnerable sheep.
Jews around the world just finished celebrating Chanukah, which is not merely a holiday about presents, oil, dreidels, and latkes. Chanukah, fundamentally, is a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/hammer-the-lesson-of-chanukah-is-deeply-relevant-in-2019-heres-why">holiday about liberty</a>. It’s a celebration of a band of freedom fighters who won back our religious freedoms from a larger and highly trained military. This holiday is celebrated because Jews took up arms, fought for their Jewish identity, and won.
In other words, we defeated the anti-Semitism of the Seleucid Empire.
It is well past time for modern-day Jews to follow in the footsteps of their forebears and take up arms. Jews need to fall in line, not to the gas chambers, but under the banner that reads “Second Amendment supporters.” It is time to embrace and take advantage of the right enshrined in the Second Amendment. Purchasing a firearm, learning to use it, and training with it will help ensure you and your family or community are safe.
Don’t rely on the police or government to protect you. Don’t rely on the security guard standing in front of your synagogue. Be your own guardian.
Let’s take it one step further with what may sound controversial to some: STOP RELYING SOLELY ON PRAYER!
There is a famous latin phrase that reads, “Si vis pacem, para bellum.” If you want peace, prepare for war.
How did Jacob prepare for his encounter with his brother, Esau?
He sent gifts and prayed. He also prepared for war.
Jacob split his family into two different camps in order to spare one if Esau were to attack. What can we learn from this? You must put in the hard work and find the appropriate balance between personal effort and trust in God!
I’m a Jew who carries a firearm. I write about guns for a living. I know many Jews from all walks of life who hate firearms and believe that guns have no place in society.
But how is exercising my Second Amendment right to help ensure my family&#8217;s safety any different than what Jacob did?
The answer is that there is no difference.
When Goliath threatened the Jews, a young David took up arms. David explained to King Saul that as a shepherd, God delivered him from the “paw of a lion and the paw of a bear”; and now, God will deliver him from Goliath. Although David prayed to God for deliverance, he also prepared for battle.
It says in <a href="https://www.chabad.org/library/bible_cdo/aid/15846/jewish/Chapter-17.htm">I Samuel 17:40</a>: “And he took his staff in his hand, and he chose for himself five smooth pebbles from the brook, and he placed them in the shepherds&#8217; bag which he had, and in the sack, and his slingshot was in his hand, and he approached the Philistine.”
Good conquered Evil.
Another example is seen in<a href="https://www.chabad.org/library/bible_cdo/aid/15861/jewish/Chapter-1.htm"> II Samuel 1:18</a>, after the death of Saul. David laments, “And he said to teach the sons of Judah the bow. Behold it is written in the book of the just.”
David understood that with Saul gone, the Jews would need to learn how to fight if they were to survive.
We can’t rely solely on prayer to ensure our safety. Don’t take that to mean that I don’t believe in prayer. On the contrary, prayer isn’t only important, but is integral to survival. We must pray constantly that we be delivered from evil.
But God gave us the natural right to self-defense that is constitutionally enshrined in the Second Amendment. It’s time for Jews to embrace it.
Get a firearm and learn how to use it.
There is a very famous phrase that states, “God made man, but Samuel Colt made them equal.” Firearms are equalizers. I understand that many Jews are afraid of firearms and don’t want them around. But it’s time that you educate yourself. Lastly, it’s time to stop believing that it can’t happen to you; it can happen in your synagogue, on the streets, or in your local market.
Arm yourself. Train. Become proficient. Survive.
“Never Again” means nothing if you are not willing to do something about it.

Hollywood is a magical place. It is an outpost of imagination and creativity. A world of wonders and creation. 
But at the same time, it is a &#8220;paradise&#8221; without morals or principles. Hollywood is a cesspool of people who crave the limelight and who self-righteously analyze the world of politics. The problem is that most celebrities who wade into the world of politics tread not in a pool, but in the swamp. 
What I mean by that is that there is no clarity because there is no moral compass.
Take for example, the not-so-funny Chelsea Handler. In a recent article in The Hollywood Reporter, Ms. Handler made some astonishingly dumb remarks with regard to gun owners. <a href="http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/rambling-reporter/chelsea-handler-talks-gun-violence-activism-kathy-griffin-1010501">HR</a> asked her:

There have been so many gun-related tragedies in the U.S., from the Pulse nightclub shooting to Sandy Hook, Virginia Tech, San Bernardino, Columbine, and the list goes on. Was there a particular tragedy that shook you the most? Or one that propelled your activism?
</blockquote>
Handler replied:
<blockquote>
Columbine was the first one. &#8230; I couldn&#8217;t believe it. It struck me. But it&#8217;s not about one incident. It&#8217;s about the gun lobbies, the people who &#8212; you know, it&#8217;s all about money in people&#8217;s pockets &#8212; the people who argue this and say, &#8220;We want our rights to guns.&#8221; Nobody is trying to take away your guns. If you want to go shoot, you know, whatever, in the woods, that&#8217;s fine, but it&#8217;s a hobby. If your hobby is [affecting] innocent people being killed all the time, children included, don&#8217;t you think you should reconsider the lack of restrictions placed on your hobby?
</blockquote>
Hold on just one moment, Ms. Handler. Hobby? Owning a gun is a hobby? I would like to take the time to respond to this ludicrous statement by one of Hollywood&#8217;s &#8220;funny&#8221; gals. 
Ms. Handler, in the United States of America, we have something called &#8220;rights.&#8221; The right to free speech and freedom of the press are two (which is why you get to say stupid things and no one can throw you in jail). The right to keep and bear arms is another. Those are what we call rights. 
But what, Ms. Handler, is a right? &#8220;A moral, ethical, or legal principle considered as an underlying cause of truth, justice, morality, or ethics.&#8221;
The problem with that definition is that it&#8217;s lost on liberal Hollywood. They do not understand what a right is because they lack morals. 
Further, the Second Amendment is not about putting money in people&#8217;s pockets. It&#8217;s about giving Americans the ability to defend themselves against enemies of our great country, whether foreign or domestic. Yes, the gun lobby is powerful and that is because they have the backing of millions of Americans who value life. Accidents happen, but so do mental illness, robbers, murders, and terrorism. We need firearms to defend ourselves against any threat. 
If you disagree, stop using security at all of your shows. We give the gun lobby our money to make sure our rights are protected. And they are rights. Self-defense or self-preservation is a right from God. 
Furthermore, Ms. Handler, the Second Amendment is not a hobby but a way of life. It is more than &#8220;If you want to go shoot, you know, whatever, in the woods.&#8221; It is hunting to provide food for our families. It is strapping a firearm to your waist to ensure that a person can protect those they love. It is building memories with your family by teaching your children a practical ability rather than having them glued to a television watching your &#8220;comedy.&#8221; It is far more than shooting in the woods. It is far more than giving money to lobbyists. 
It is a right that has protected your right to say something funny, stupid, mean, or smart.
Let me be clear. My passion for firearms and the Second Amendment is in no way hurting anyone. So, I ask you: How is my love for firearms harming anyone innocent? What restrictions are you referring to when you ask gun owners across the country to &#8220;reconsider the lack of restrictions placed on your hobby?&#8221; You say it&#8217;s not about one incident but about the gun lobbies. Have you ever considered that the NRA, for example, is made up of over five million people who donate their hard-earned money so their rights are protected?
How can you lecture the American public, the ones that own firearms, that we do not care about human life, when you yourself have <a href="http://www.playboy.com/articles/my-choice-chelsea-handler">admitted</a> to aborting two babies? Hypocritical much? 
Which brings me to my conclusion. 
Hollywood loves to lecture Americans that our rights are mere child&#8217;s play. Hobbies. That our rights are not really rights because we do not agree with their way of thinking. Why don&#8217;t they understand that the Second Amendment is a right from God that &#8220;shall not be infringed&#8221;? 
Because Hollywood liberals do not care for human life. They claim they do. Just as they claim they are for climate change but travel the world on yachts and private jets. The fact is they just don&#8217;t have a true moral compass. Anyone who truly believes in the gift of life would never believe that our rights of gun ownership are a mere hobby.
Unless of course, you are a Hollywood elitist.

Chelsea Handler, America’s Gun ‘Hobby,’  And Zero Morals? A Recipe for Revolt.

Throughout Jewish history, Jews have been subjugated to slavery, pogroms, extermination, and a non-stop barrage of anti-Semitic attacks from all over the world. It was only 75 years ago that the Jews suffered one of the greatest tragedies in history, with the loss of six million people at the hands of Adolf Hitler, a madman hell-bent on the complete annihilation of an entire race.
Ironically, only seven decades later, the call for gun control in America by none other than Jewish Democrats in Congress, as well as a very large contingent of the current American Jewish population, is deafening.
The Jews have a saying: &#8220;Never Again.&#8221; Never again will we allow our people to be thrown into the ovens or taken to the forests to be shot dead. But with the multitude of American Jews pushing for stricter gun control, whom can the Jews who believe in the term &#8220;Never Again&#8221; turn to? Where can Jews feel at home without worrying that their right to self-defense be taken away? 
I have found that place. It is a place that has accepted me, as a Jew, with open arms. A place that not only encourages me to arm myself but encourages me to reach out to non-Jews as well in the form of an accepting brotherhood. A place where color, creed, and religious preference do not matter. It is Freedom&#8217;s Safest Place. It is the National Rifle Association. 
Why did I become a member of the NRA and why do I believe that all Jews should join? Simply put, it really is freedom&#8217;s safest place. As a Jew, I am always warned that I must be vigilant about the raging anti-Semitism plaguing the world today. 
To me, the NRA&#8217;s slogan of &#8220;Freedom&#8217;s Safest Place&#8221; has more than one meaning. It is the safest place to be because it fights to protect my individual right to protect myself and my family. They fight on my behalf every day to ensure that my Second Amendment right is not restricted and not stripped away. But more important than that (at least from the Jewish perspective), it is a place I can call home.
I had the honor of attending the NRA convention in Atlanta this year. Walking from the parking structure to the World Congress Center, I bumped into a father and son from Florida and we started chatting. Not once did they look at what was on top of my head, as I was sporting a Yarmulke (or Kippah), the small Jewish head-covering men wear. They talked to me as if we were old friends, all because we both shared a love for firearms and the Second Amendment. Upon walking into the convention, I was floored by how many people were there. There were thousands of people from every walk of life. Was I afraid or nervous that someone might see me and say something that could be anti-Semitic? Not once. The complete opposite happened. I was immediately accepted and welcomed. I did not get any nasty looks or double takes for what I was wearing on my head. I met many people in the gun industry and when someone did mention my head-covering, it was more along the lines of how happy they were to see a Jew championing the Second Amendment (and not trying to restrict gun rights). 
In other words, there are a multitude of members that make up the NRA, and the NRA itself does not care if I am Jewish. Actually, let me rephrase that &#8212; they very much care that I am Jewish, because they care to make the playing field even. They want me to be able to protect myself from a tyrannical government and defend myself from those willing to harm me only because I am Jewish. The fact that I am Jewish does not exclude me from the NRA. The fact that I wear my Kippah does not restrict me from joining the millions of Americans who care about one thing &#8212; to be safe. 
Jews note that the world is anti-Semitic. They note that many people seem indifferent to anti-Semitism. They worry that no one will come to their rescue if Nazi Germany happens again. They fear that there is no safe place for Jews to hide.
But they are wrong. There is a safe place. The NRA provides the Jews of America with a shelter. They provide a warm home for those caught in the cold of night. The Jews of America need not look any further than the NRA for a safe haven. They provide training, insurance, education, and support. They do not care if you are Jewish. They want to ensure one thing and one thing only. You have the ability to defend yourself against any enemy no matter your background. 
I am a proud American Jew. I am a proud member of the NRA. I live in America&#8217;s Safest Place. I am the National Rifle Association.

The National Rifle Association Is The Jews’ Safest Place

The Leftist party (also known as the Democrats), composed of members such as Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, Diane Feinstein, Rahm Emanuel, and former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg have done their best to zero in on the American dream. That dream, the one the Founding Fathers envisioned for the greatest country on earth, has been tarnished with ballooning healthcare costs, skyrocketing taxes and increased terror threats from both within and abroad.
Something needs to be done to ensure that America&#8217;s future is safe. And we, as Americans, can ensure that future with only one right&#8212;the right to bear arms.
The Second Amendment, a right sewn into the fabric of our nation, is the key to our future. The right to bear arms is arguably the most important amendment in the Bill of Rights for the sole reason that if the Second Amendment is lost, America will be lost as well. The capacity to protect ourselves from an overreaching government or to defend ourselves from criminals would be a thing of the past. As Benjamin Franklin wrote in the Federalist Papers No. 28:

If the representatives of the people betray their constituents, there is then no resource left but in the exertion of that original right of self-defense which is paramount to all positive forms of government, and which against the usurpations of the national rulers, may be exerted with infinitely better prospect of success than against those of the rulers of an individual state.
</blockquote>
But the Left, despite its lip-service to the Second Amendment, cannot hide the obvious fact that it opposes gun ownership. As such, liberals will do anything to get their gun control measures passed, whether in veiled language such as a ban on &#8220;assault weapons,&#8221; ghost guns, high capacity magazines; or by outright admitting their opposition of civilian gun ownership. Their true goal, whether they will admit it or not, is for a blanket gun ban from private citizens, as a part of their vision of a central government.
So how do we, as Americans who believe in our founding documents, combat the Left&#8217;s obsession with taking away our unalienable right to personal defense?
We could vote them out of office. But we all know the next double-talking, two-faced politician who replaces them will probably continue the push for harsher gun laws, attempting to restrict us from bearing our arms. We could stage sit-ins or stage protests, but the Flyover Nation (Thanks, Dana Loesch) are not Moms Demand Action. 
TVs, tablets, and video games are raising too many of our kids today. What does our future hold for them? Everywhere you look there is a safe zone for whiny, thin-skinned adult babies who cower with the mere mention of a &#8220;trigger-word&#8221; or a &#8220;micro-aggression.&#8221; Dare I insert the word &#8220;Trump&#8221; without sending a group of people into a complete meltdown?
We must make sure that the next generation is raised to be resilient and able to maintain the future of our country. In other words, the answer lies with our children and grandchildren. We need to turn to the youth of our nation and instill in them the importance of the Second Amendment as well as a healthy love of firearms. That is best taught on a gun range, with children pulling the triggers in a controlled environment, where parents or instructors can teach them basic gun safety and how to properly handle firearms. 
Founding Father and signer of the Declaration of Independence Richard Henry Lee famously said, &#8220;Whereas, to preserve liberty, it is essential that the whole body of the people always possess arms, and be taught alike, especially when young, how to use them.&#8221; 
Are these prophetic words? I&#8217;ll go with brilliant foresight from a man who understood that every generation must pass on the importance of firearms knowledge in order to preserve our country&#8217;s future and liberty. Make the future&#8217;s safe zone behind a gun.
For those out there who say &#8220;This man is crazy! What if a child gets hold of their parent&#8217;s gun? What if they go to a friend&#8217;s house and that parent isn&#8217;t as responsible and my child finds a gun?&#8221; Don&#8217;t get me wrong. Accidents can happen. Accidents will happen. It is inevitable. But in a new released &#8220;Injury Facts&#8221; report by the National Safety Council, the group put accidental gun deaths in 2015 at 489. That is the lowest number it has been since 1903. John Nolte writes for The Daily Wire:

Overall, in 2015, there were 146,571 accidental deaths in America (cars, prescription drugs, falls), meaning the 489 firearms deaths ranks somewhere close to a statistical zero. Based on the <a href="http://www.dailywire.com/news/6992/you-wont-believe-how-many-guns-americans-buy-every-aaron-bandler%23exit-modal">number of background checks</a>, a whopping 52,600 guns were purchased every day during Obama&#8217;s 8-year presidency. A total of 141.1 million background checks were done and 46 million new firearms were produced. And yet, despite the fact that more than 100 million Americans own somewhere around 300 million guns, despite all the hysteria we constantly hear from the national media and other gun-grabbers about the how dangerous it is to have a gun in your home, from the looks of it, you would be much safer if you kept the gun and removed the bathtub.
</blockquote>
So how do you talk to your children about firearms and the American gun culture? I would never leave that to the media, Hollywood, or politicians. Just listen to Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.) who wrote in a tweet on March 14, &#8220;When someone gets shot by a gun with a silencer, it&#8217;s quiet. Witness might not hear. Police will be less likely to track down the shooter.&#8221; She was mercilessly ridiculed for her lack of knowledge when it came to guns and silencers. And it was well-deserved. Politicians who know little to nothing about the Second Amendment should not be so arrogant as to try to rule on it.
Additionally, people like Matt Damon and Liam Neeson, both big A-list action stars, have called for strict gun control, while using those firearms on screen to kill scores of people to make millions. A further example would be Billboard Magazine, which on its front cover listed 90 celebrities like Katy Perry, Jennifer Lopez, Barbra Streisand, Yoko Ono, Selena Gomez, Paul McCartney, Billy Joel, Britney Spears, Ellen DeGeneres, and many more calling for stricter gun laws. 
This is beyond hypocritical. Many of them all walk around with armed security and live in secure, gated communities.
The point is, unless you are a responsible gun owner, please don&#8217;t lecture the American people on gun control. 
So how do we train our kids to drown out the voices of uneducated liberals to properly utilize America&#8217;s gun culture? Maybe we should bring gun safety courses back into schools. They have sex-ed as well as drug education. So why not gun education? In a piece published in LIFE magazine in 1956 titled &#8220;Drawing a Bead on Safety,&#8221; a school in Indiana decided that teaching gun safety was crucial to the education of the American child. What prompted the school to promote gun safety is something we have seen time and time again. This is an excerpt from the original 1956 article:

In 1954 more than 550 U.S. children under 15 were killed in accidents involving the careless handling of firearms, five of them in lake County, Indiana. [In 2010, 606 people were killed by &#8220;accidental discharge of firearms,&#8221; according to the CDC. &#8212; Ed.] This situation shocked Indiana Conservation Officer Rod Rankin, who decided to offer a course in gun safety to any interested child in the county. In the past year 2,500 children from 6 years on, with the approval of their parents, have taken him up on it.&#8221;

There are many fantastic tools and organizations as well. The NRA&#8217;s Eddie Eagle program or the National Shooting Sports Foundation&#8217;s Project Child Safe are two superb groups as well as the most well-known. 
I personally grew up in Los Angeles, where the thought of owning a firearm nearly gets you a one-way ticket behind bars (I am joking for those that don&#8217;t have a sense of humor). The way I understood America&#8217;s gun culture growing up was this: the cops have guns, the military have guns, and the bad guys have guns. It was that simple. It was the bad guys attacked the unarmed good guys and the unarmed good guys would call the armed good guys who would miraculously save everyone from the armed bad guys. I never thought, &#8220;Well, why don&#8217;t the unarmed good guys arm themselves?&#8221; Thankfully, I had a friend who opened my eyes later in life to America&#8217;s real gun culture. With the tutelage and utmost patience from him as well as my many friends I made at a local gun range, I began learning about what the Second Amendment meant and how it affected my everyday life.
All of this led me to write a book called <a href="https://www.amazon.com/Safety-Introduction-World-Firearms-Children/dp/1618081535/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1494534491&amp;sr=8-1&amp;keywords=Safety+On%3A+An+Introduction+to+the+World+of+Firearms+for+Children">Safety On: An Introduction to the World of Firearms for Children</a>, with the help and guidance from a close friend in the LAPD, Officer Dave. My wife and I had two children and I was terrified that I grew up knowing nothing about the mechanics of guns, or how to properly shoot, and most importantly, how the individual right to bear arms truly shapes our country every day. I did not want my children to grow up how I did. 
On top of that, I am Jewish. I lost over 30 relatives in the Holocaust. To grow up not realizing that I, as an American, can carry a gun on me wherever I go to defend myself against anyone who might try and bring harm upon me or my family shook me to the core, but also gave me a new-found hope in life. Imagine if the Jews of Europe refused to register their firearms once Hitler came to power. Their guns never would have been confiscated and one can make a very strong argument that the fate of the Jewish people could have ended quite differently. 
I carry because it empowers me. It makes me unafraid to go out with my family and friends. I walk around my house with my firearms on my side for my kids to see. When I leave the home, while I do carry concealed, my kids know and understand why I carry. They know that there are evil people in this world and daddy is there to protect them. Just this knowledge alone helps me strengthen my resolve that one day, after years of training and education, that when my kids are married and have children of their own, they will also carry firearms with them because they understand what the Second Amendment means to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. They will know that God has granted us the ability to defend those we love from all enemies, whether foreign or domestic. 
I would like to touch on one more thing that I mentioned before, and that is about the Holocaust and how the Second Amendment could truly come into play. I don&#8217;t believe that a Holocaust, or anything of the sort, will happen in America. There are too many good and loving Americans in the country who would never allow that to happen. But I do believe that the left-wing faction that plagues the nation would be willing to throw conservatives and those that don&#8217;t think like them somewhere dark, damp, and cold.
That is why the Second Amendment is the most crucial tool we have today. It prevents the uber-left wing leaders like George Soros and his henchman, like two-time presidential loser Hillary Clinton, from truly taking over the country. But who knows what will happen in 20 years from now? Will there be a government run by another radical Leftist like President Barack Obama? Will we see someone more to the Left like Bernie Sanders become the Commander-in-Chief? Or will Hillary run for a 3rd time? It is possible and a very scary thought. 
President Ronald Reagan famously said, &#8220;Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction.&#8221;
This is the reason we need to train our kids how to properly use firearms and about the importance of the Second Amendment. They are the future defenders of the country&#8217;s legacy and the Constitution. We cannot allow another charismatic pseudo-dictator, who belittled our country every chance he had, to take the reins. 
Teach your kids proper gun safety. Teach them the four cardinal rules of firearms. Teach them to shoot properly. Teach them the mechanics of firearms. Teach them the importance of the Second Amendment. Teach them about the Constitution. Teach them that they have a responsibility from God to defend themselves and their loved ones. And above all else, teach them that they hail from the greatest nation on God&#8217;s green earth and not to take their right to bear arms for granted.
Doing all this will teach the future generations of our great country what it means to be an American.
That is why we need to teach our kids about firearms and America&#8217;s gun culture.
