Norman Rockwell would roll over in his grave if he learned what passes for freedom in the Democratic Party, seen in the Presidential ticket of Vice President Kamala Harris and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz. Rockwell painted four scenes <a href="https://www.smithsonianmag.com/smithsonian-institution/norman-rockwells-four-freedoms-brought-ideals-america-life-180968033/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">in the midst of World War II</a> that captured the longing of the nation <a href="https://www.mfah.org/blogs/inside-mfah/norman-rockwells-four-freedoms" target="_blank" rel="noopener">for foundational freedoms</a>: Freedom of Speech, Freedom of Worship, Freedom from Want, and Freedom from Fear. However, Harris and Walz offer a dystopian view that empowers government, not ordinary citizens. Those freedoms are replaced with one, new category: <a href="https://www.politico.com/news/2024/07/29/kamala-harris-abortion-restoring-roe-00171657" target="_blank" rel="noopener">“freedom” for unlimited abortion.</a>
Consider the violations of basic freedoms from both Harris and Walz, when in power.
On Freedom of Speech: Attorney Jonathan Turley <a href="https://thehill.com/opinion/civil-rights/4820490-harris-walz-administration-free-speech/">notes</a>: “In her failed 2020 presidential bid, Harris <a href="https://thehill.com/policy/technology/442261-harris-says-her-administration-would-hold-social-media-platforms/">ran on censorship</a>,” something he both <a href="https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/editorials/3115414/harris-walz-threat-to-first-amendment/">practiced and preached</a>. As California’s Attorney General, Harris didn’t support the rights of citizen journalist David Daleiden, exposing <a href="https://nypost.com/2024/08/02/us-news/kamala-harris-accused-of-weaponizing-calif-ags-office-against-activist/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">her campaign donor, Planned Parenthood</a>, <a href="https://nypost.com/2024/08/08/us-news/undercover-video-allegedly-shows-planned-parenthood-scandal/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">and used</a> the power of her office to raid his apartment, suppressing information about the alleged trafficking in human remains harvested from late-term abortions.
Immediately after taking office, the Biden-Harris Administration <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/media/wall-street-journal-hammers-supreme-court-giving-biden-administration-license-social-media-censorship" target="_blank" rel="noopener">pressured</a> social media companies to block those who disagreed with their handling of the COVID pandemic, allegedly taking <a href="https://nypost.com/2023/09/08/biden-officials-likely-violated-first-amendment-over-covid-court/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">direct steps</a> against opponents. A recent lawsuit notes accusations that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Department of Justice (DOJ) engaged in <a href="https://aflegal.org/america-first-legal-lawsuit-exposes-the-fbi-implemented-extensive-nationwide-social-media-monitoring-ahead-of-the-2022-midterms/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">“extensive” monitoring</a> of citizens during the 2022 election season.
She’s found a kindred spirit in Walz, who <a href="https://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2024/08/16/whos_for_the_first_amendment_--_and_whos_against_151458.html">told MSNBC in 2022, </a>&#8220;There&#8217;s no guarantee to free speech on misinformation or hate speech, and especially around our democracy.”
That’s not exactly his story in stump speeches. Recently Walz said the &#8220;golden rule&#8221; in America is to <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/speeches-remarks/2024/08/07/remarks-by-vice-president-harris-and-governor-tim-walz-at-a-campaign-event-eau-clarie-wi/">“mind your own damn business.”</a> Yet, during COVID he set up a snitch line, so that neighbors could inform on neighbors who didn’t tow his line. Harris and Walz abuse of weaponized governmental agencies signals trouble ahead.
On Freedom of Worship: <a href="https://www.usatoday.com/story/opinion/voices/2020/09/22/catholic-abortion-vote-biden-trump-ruth-bader-ginsburg-2020-column/5853831002/">Harris was so offended</a> by a faithful Catholic up for a job as judge, that she said <a href="https://www.nationalreview.com/corner/kamala-harriss-anti-catholic-bigotry/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">in a Senate hearing</a> that his involvement in a Catholic charity disqualified him to serve. Repeatedly, <a href="https://firstliberty.org/news/kamala-harris-supported-legislation-that-threatened-religious-freedom/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">she sponsored legislation</a> that gutted the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA), which protects people of faith from being forced to act against their conscience rights. As lead sponsor of the Do No Harm Act and the benignly named Equality Act, Harris targeted Americans with faith if they did not comply with her social engineering.
And consider her <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/speeches-remarks/2022/05/11/remarks-by-vice-president-harris-after-the-senate-vote-on-the-womens-health-protection-act/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">passion project</a>, the Women’s Health Protection Act (WHPA) that goes radically far beyond Roe v. Wade.
In a letter to U.S. Representatives, the U.S. Council of Catholic Bishops <a href="https://www.usccb.org/resources/WHPA%20opposition%20letter%20House%20and%20fact%20sheet%20July%202022%20clean.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">noted</a>: “WHPA plainly seeks to force religious health professionals and religious hospitals to perform abortions against their beliefs. If it did not, there would be no reasons for the WHPA to specifically state that it overrides the longstanding, bipartisan … RFRA– something no bill passed by Congress has ever done.” And the measure blocks states’ rights as well.
On Freedom from Want: The economically inept Biden-Harris Administration forced forward a crippling measure in which Harris was the <a href="https://www.instagram.com/kamalaharris/p/C-vT5dMs4FJ/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">smug, tie-breaking vote</a> for <a href="https://finance.yahoo.com/news/harris-deciding-vote-inflation-reduction-131528874.html?guccounter=1&amp;guce_referrer=aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ29vZ2xlLmNvbS8&amp;guce_referrer_sig=AQAAAF10_SlQjcjqicCtrBhH8qhDBZ-IQNABZLvd_sIdL7cVZdQXGWF9lbyjGdFDCkpJCaOmiDgTUPlDMEuQQq05qhHmb0G9VeuN9X9aP5NT4KaXYu06MCqSK0Ix7H1I8ufCO9FzFA8af-qGKanRmgNPKDqC4YSmFFvdYhPuhIxZ0vRt" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Inflation Reduction Act</a>. When former President Donald Trump <a href="https://nypost.com/2024/08/15/opinion/economic-choice-in-election-is-stark-bigger-opportunity-or-a-bigger-state/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">left office</a>, the inflation rate was 1.4%, but inflation during the Biden-Harris years topped out at 9.1% and <a href="https://x.com/ScottJenningsKY/status/1824614960737013763">isn’t in great shape today</a>.
While it’s reported that <a href="https://www.heritage.org/markets-and-finance/commentary/biden-pretends-rising-food-prices-are-not-problem">“average weekly paychecks”</a> are up 14.1% in the three years of the Biden-Harris Administration, prices have risen more than 19.3%. That’s an average, consider reporting that <a href="https://www.foxbusiness.com/economy/how-started-how-going-inflation-down-june-prices-still" target="_blank" rel="noopener">rent is up 21.9% and food up 21.5%</a>, while energy costs up <a href="https://nypost.com/2024/04/12/us-news/electricity-costs-soar-under-biden-administrationenergy-prices-soar-under-biden-administration/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">are up almost 30%.</a>
Are we to believe that the candidate <a href="https://www.newsweek.com/republicans-attack-kamala-harris-jewelry-1935083" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reportedly wearing a $62,000 necklace</a> to her political events has insight into the crippling cost of bread … and what she did to make it so expensive?
Freedom from Fear: Much has been written about <a href="https://judiciary.house.gov/sites/evo-subsites/republicans-judiciary.house.gov/files/evo-media-document/2024-08-07%20The%20Consequences%20of%20the%20Biden-Harris%20Administration%27s%20Open-Borders%20Policies%20The%20Case%20of%20an%20Illegal%20Alien%20Gang%20Member%20Terrorizing%20New%20York%20City_Redacted.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">the rising crime rate</a>, ushered in by the Biden-Harris Administration’s <a href="https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/columnists/3124664/a-story-everyone-should-know-harris-biden-and-gianfranco-torres-navarro/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">open border policy</a>, with Kamala on deck as Border Czar. But as California’s Attorney General, her soft-on-crime policies left a tragic wake in her home state. Bizarrely, <a href="https://thefederalist.com/2024/07/31/after-raising-bail-for-rioters-now-kamala-harris-claims-shes-tough-on-crime/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">she promoted a fund to bail out Black Lives Matter rioters</a> in Walz’s home state, that “(a)mong those <a href="https://www.fox9.com/news/minnesota-nonprofit-with-35m-bails-out-those-accused-of-violent-crimes" target="_blank" rel="noopener">bailed out</a> was a convicted rapist facing charges of sexual assault and kidnapping.”
Meanwhile, Walz’s wife enjoyed the scent of burning tires, and Walz gloated while <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/i-watched-as-gov-tim-walz-let-my-home-state-of-minnesota-burn" target="_blank" rel="noopener">his city burned around him</a>, sending forces into neighborhoods to frighten citizens indoors.
But in <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2024/04/12/politics/harris-arizona-abortion/index.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">the name of “freedom</a>,” Harris flacks for the Planned Parenthood abortion business model.
This isn’t the <a href="https://www.politico.com/news/2024/07/29/kamala-harris-abortion-restoring-roe-00171657" target="_blank" rel="noopener">soft freedom of “choice”</a> as that doesn’t go far enough for Harris’ who pledges to “restore reproductive freedom.” And it’s not what Roe and Doe together mutated into U.S. law – abortion without limit, for any reason, and sometimes paid for by taxpayers. She wants more.
<a href="https://www.politico.com/news/2024/07/29/kamala-harris-abortion-restoring-roe-00171657" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Politico reports:</a> “”I don’t think there’s a real debate about whether we want to go beyond Roe,” said Mini Timmaraju, president and CEO of Reproductive Freedom for All who has frequently campaigned for and with Harris.” Ironically, the organization, formerly the <a href="https://library.unh.edu/find/archives/collections/national-abortion-rights-action-league#:~:text=National%20Abortion%20Rights%20Action%20League,-National%20Abortion%20Rights" target="_blank" rel="noopener">National Abortion Rights Action League,</a> also hides abortion behind the fig leaf of “Freedom.”
A cold-hearted Harris-Walz Administration seems poised to ignore the basic freedoms enshrined in the Bill of Rights, with fealty to the one thing NOT in the U.S. Constitution – Abortion. Given their thuggish abuse of power when opposed, no one will be free who doesn’t agree with them.

Freedom. On the issue of abortion, only one side really uses that word with regularity – those who want to be clear about what is hurting women and pre-born infants. For those who want more of it, everything but abortion is said to be on the line. You’ve seen slogans like &#8220;My Body, My Choice&#8221; in branded <a href="https://www.seattletimes.com/nation-world/nation-politics/planned-parenthood-unveils-my-body-my-choice-plate/">Planned Parenthood messaging</a> for years. But link any word to abortion often enough, and no one wants to keep it in the mix.
Forget choice, access, and health care as the top rationales for ending innocent life in the womb. It’s all Austin Powers now; <a href="https://www.getyarn.io/yarn-clip/d4ccdd19-3f65-478a-9aa4-9719bed6ad31">“It’s freedom baby, Yeah.”</a>  
A recent <a href="https://www.reuters.com/world/us/democrats-push-abortion-rights-heart-2024-campaign-2023-09-01/">Reuters article</a> signaled that a pivot is underway on Team Abortion.
&#8220;It&#8217;s about freedom,” said Hassan Martini, who founded the No Dem Left Behind PAC.
Democratic strategist Jennifer Holdsworth <a href="https://www.reuters.com/world/us/democrats-push-abortion-rights-heart-2024-campaign-2023-09-01/">echoed that emotion,</a> saying, “You can&#8217;t run a party talking about freedom and then base one of your major policies on taking one of the most fundamental freedoms away from half the population.” 
<a href="https://apnews.com/article/abortion-advocates-rebrand-naral-reproductive-freedom-ccd0d424a5578aad9d7ce0dc9151afc9" target="_blank" rel="noopener">NARAL Pro-Choice America</a> got the message and is changing its name to Reproductive Freedom for All (all but those in the womb of course.) 
After sending some staff into a Planned Parenthood messaging training years ago in New York City, I knew “choice was on its way out as trainers admitted “choice” was associated with “abortion” and people, regardless of their labels, don’t like that word.

So, <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2023/10/02/opinion/abortion-bans-republicans.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">choice,</a> exit, stage left. It seems that abortion agitators have read Marxist activist Saul Alinsky’s &#8220;Rules for Radicals,&#8221; who wrote: <a href="https://sliwainsights.com/saul-alinskys-12-rules-for-radicals/">RULE 7:</a> “A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag.”  
I also wonder if part of “choice’s” unpopularity comes from the extreme lack of choice abortion-supporting legislators offered those who didn’t agree with how they wanted their bodies to be treated on other issues. Consider <a href="https://katv.com/news/nation-world/half-of-dems-believe-fines-prison-time-appropriate-for-questioning-vaccine-poll-says" target="_blank" rel="noopener">national vaccine mandates</a> (and jail for those who refuse); <a href="https://nypost.com/2022/09/21/fauci-admits-he-knew-draconian-lockdowns-would-have-collateral-negative-consequences-on-schoolchildren/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">National school lockdowns</a> and violations of <a href="https://abcnews.go.com/US/california-pastor-found-contempt-ignoring-covid-19-mandates/story?id=74623637" target="_blank" rel="noopener">the right to assembly</a>; and the sudden <a href="https://newrepublic.com/article/168309/elon-musk-twitter-free-speech-ruin-america" target="_blank" rel="noopener">disdain for free speech</a> if the Left doesn’t like what you’re saying.
My words, my choice?
Yet, for all the naked hypocrisy of the pro-abortion Left, the question of what to do with freedom matters greatly.  
This country was founded, albeit imperfectly, on the principles of freedom and liberty for all, protected by a government that was to exist only to serve people and protect their rights.  
This summer, my family has been on a history hunting road trip. My husband, a historian by training, has made sure that we see the places pivotal to our nation. I recently saw Norman Rockwell’s “Four Freedoms” paintings. They’re remarkable in-person and inspired by wartime President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s <a href="https://www.fdrlibrary.org/four-freedoms" target="_blank" rel="noopener">State of the Union Address</a> on January 6, 1941, where he said: 
<blockquote>“In the future days, which we seek to make secure, we look forward to a world founded upon four essential human freedoms. The first is freedom of speech, and expression—everywhere in the world.  
“The second is freedom of every person to worship God in his own way—everywhere in the world.   
“The third is freedom from want—which, translated into world terms, means economic understandings which will secure to every nation a healthy peacetime life for its inhabitants—everywhere in the world.  
“The fourth is freedom from fear—which, translated into world terms, means a world-wide reduction of armaments to such a point and in such a thorough fashion that no nation will be in a position to commit an act of physical aggression against any neighbor—anywhere in the world.”   </blockquote>
The spirit of freedom that FDR speaks of is one in pursuit of social harmony, peace, and the freedom to choose or express one’s deepest values or belief systems. Nowhere in that speech, or within the Constitution, do we see calls for the freedom to pursue destructive ends, such as the untimely deaths of others. 
Not even the pro-abortion Left believes or follows their own logic on this so-called freedom when talking about their own families. Kathleen Parker, op-ed columnist for the Washington Post, powerfully described how when she became pregnant with her son over a decade ago, <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2022/05/03/50years-of-abortion-roe-leak/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">it changed her</a>, writing: “It was clear to me that I was a mere vessel for this other autonomous life growing inside me and my job was to protect him. Sure, it was my body, but it was his life.”  
The rebranding from &#8220;My Body, My Choice&#8221; to “Let American’s enjoy their freedoms” is nothing more than a subversive tactic to deal with the broken truth of choice – that it matters what you pick, because not all choices are created equal.
It’s not “freedom” to end an innocent’s life. That is the definition of tyranny.

Shocking to no one who has been paying attention, the largest abortion business in America does not respect children outside the womb any more than inside.
 Recently, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/planned-parenthood-exec-said-children-are-born-sexual-wants-kid-porn-literacy-lessons" target="_blank" rel="noopener">conservative media drew attention</a> to Planned Parenthood’s exploitative predilection for our youngest children, highlighting one more cultural divide between those who want to protect children and those who see them as something to use or reject as they see fit.
Planned Parenthood is in hot water after <a href="https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/planned-parenthood-director-claimed-children-sexual-beings" target="_blank" rel="noopener">comments surfaced</a> revealing that they support sexualizing young children. The remarks came from Bill Taverner, director of Planned Parenthood’s Center for Sex Education. In 2015 he <a href="https://nypost.com/2022/12/02/planned-parenthood-director-bill-taverner-claims-kids-are-sexual-beings-from-birth/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> children and adults with intellectual disabilities are “sexual beings” from birth. 
Earlier, he advocated &#8216;porn literacy&#8217; for children as young as kindergarten.
Fox News recently published Taverner’s <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/media/planned-parenthood-sexuality-educator-claims-kids-sexual-birth-porn-literacy" target="_blank" rel="noopener">comments</a> in which he stated, “[We have] in our society, an assumption of asexuality of people with intellectual disabilities. It’s a myth that’s perpetuated, and really we are all sexual beings from birth until death.” Describing children as “sexual beings from birth” is not how most people would talk about children and reveals a pederastic and pedophilic worldview that most people rightly find disturbing.
Taverner’s comments are not outside the mainstream of Planned Parenthood, however. One media outlet <a href="https://nypost.com/2022/12/02/planned-parenthood-director-bill-taverner-claims-kids-are-sexual-beings-from-birth/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">noted</a> that Planned Parenthood’s sexual education pamphlet called “Fundamentals of Teaching Sexuality” states that “sexuality is a part of life through all the ages and stages.” The pamphlet continues, “Babies, elders, and everyone in between can experience sexuality.”
This perverse impulse to sexualize children is also consistent with pop culture phenomenon, “the father of the sexual revolution” himself, <a href="https://familywatch.org/fwi/Kinsey_fraud.cfm" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Alfred Kinsey</a>. In the 1940s and 50s, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/statue-honoring-controversial-sex-researcher-alfred-kinsey-draws-criticism" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Kinsey claimed to be a scientist and researcher</a>, and his “research” still affects public policy in the present day. Starting with the premise that children are “sexual beings,” Kinsey embraced the mindset of pedophiles who reportedly <a href="https://familywatch.org/fwi/Kinsey_fraud.cfm" target="_blank" rel="noopener">victimized hundreds of children</a> in the course of “research.”
These assertions are not wild speculation but are <a href="https://familywatch.org/fwi/Kinsey_fraud.cfm" target="_blank" rel="noopener">confirmed</a> by meticulous data. In one particularly disturbing example, Kinsey published <a href="https://familywatch.org/fwi/Kinsey_fraud.cfm" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Table 34</a> in Chapter 5 of his misleading book Sexual Behavior in the Human Male. The table purports to show the “sexual response” of children as young as infants up through adolescents. The horrifying list of sexual abuse and molestation, an evil diary, demonstrates that hundreds of children were victimized by abusers <a href="https://www.ewtn.com/catholicism/library/video-exposes-kinsey-research-fund-4036" target="_blank" rel="noopener">who claimed the children wanted the sexual contact.</a>
Scholars have argued that the ultimate aim of Kinsey’s work was to <a href="https://digitalcommons.liberty.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=1003&amp;context=psych_fac_pubs" target="_blank" rel="noopener">destigmatize pornography</a>. Planned Parenthood appears to be enthusiastically on board with this aim, once again going after the most vulnerable: our children.
In 2012, Taverner <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/media/planned-parenthood-sexuality-educator-claims-kids-sexual-birth-porn-literacy" target="_blank" rel="noopener">claimed</a>, “There’s access to erotica, pornography. That was very different for young people 30 years ago. It’s certainly not as accessible, certainly not as instantaneous. So there’s a lot of information that is useful.”
When the interviewer interrupted to say that some pornography is wrong, Taverner said flippantly, “Some of it is wrong, a lot of it is wrong. But there’s good stuff out there as well.”
What exactly is the usefulness of sexually explicit material for young children? 
We don&#8217;t have to wonder why Planned Parenthood’s top executives find it useful, though. Their <a href="https://www.plannedparenthoodaction.org/issues/sex-education/how-planned-parenthood-teaches-sex-education" target="_blank" rel="noopener">website</a> states that the abortion business is “the single largest provider of sex education in the United States, reaching 1.2 million people with education and outreach each year.”
That is a large, captive audience of children as young as five for Planned Parenthood to sexualize with inappropriate material. And that is <a href="https://studentsforlife.org/2022/08/22/we-need-to-kick-planned-parenthoods-sexual-education-out-of-our-classrooms/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">exactly what they are doing</a> in schools already.
When speaking about pornography, Taverner scoffed at the idea that children are being sexualized, <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/media/planned-parenthood-sexuality-educator-claims-kids-sexual-birth-porn-literacy" target="_blank" rel="noopener">stating</a>, “There’s a resistance to … if we talk about porn, [some think] is it going to make people want to watch it? Which is the same faulty kind of premise as if we teach about condoms, it’s going to make people want to have sex with condoms or maybe that’s not a bad thing.”
No healthy adult wants to discuss and normalize pornography with five-year-olds. By discussing these topics and introducing explicit material, so-called ‘sex educators’ are changing the way kids think and behave.
That’s just part of Planned Parenthood’s business model, though. The abortion business wants children to act out and exhibit behavior far beyond their maturity. And if, as they get older, they find themselves in a difficult situation, even pregnant, <a href="https://studentsforlife.org/2022/08/22/we-need-to-kick-planned-parenthoods-sexual-education-out-of-our-classrooms/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">where are they going to turn</a>? Planned Parenthood, of course, where they will become paying customers, and perhaps end their children&#8217;s lives.
Despite the evidence of Planned Parenthood’s own words, a writer recently in the New Republic called Students for Life’s concerns evidence of being <a href="https://newrepublic.com/article/169461/anti-abortion-movement-antisemitic-conspiracy" target="_blank" rel="noopener">“conspiracy addled.”</a> Yet at a time when most parents, grandparents, family, and friends are making plans for a new year with the children in their lives at the protective center, it’s not gone unnoticed that others have a different agenda.
“Age-appropriate sex education is so important,” Taverner has said. “And we have to let our experts guide us.”
Experts? Experts at ending life in the womb and getting paid for it.
Planned Parenthood’s particular focus on children — pre-born and born — is alarming. Such ‘experts’ should not be our guides.

‘Sexual From Birth’: Planned Parenthood Targets Children With ‘Porn Literacy’ Through Sex Education

Recently, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/loves-joe-biden-more-than-he-loves-his-wife-ohio-democrat-cuts-cringey-ad-seemingly-masking-liberal-voting-record">Democratic Sen. Tim Ryan</a> of Ohio <a href="https://finance.yahoo.com/news/6-takeaways-u-senate-candidate-141300104.html">made it clear</a> that the case for his candidacy rests on two talking points: the events of January 6th and a push for more abortion. That’s it. 
Presumably, Americans should vote for an agenda defined by what they don’t get, not by what Ryan and his party have to offer.
For those who point to the number of articles supporting these talking points, consider that failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is now connected to more than <a href="https://offthepress.com/dems-running-fake-news-sites/">50 manufactured “news” outlets</a> clutching their proverbial pearls about the party line.
You can’t believe everything you read. 
Democrats simply want to scare America. But we are already scared, friend.
We are terrified that the leader of the free world says we are <a href="https://www.politico.com/news/2022/10/09/pompeo-biden-russia-putin-nuclear-weapons-00061067">close to nuclear Armageddon</a>, yet no one is talking about it. 
The United Nations reports that <a href="https://www.wfp.org/stories/wfp-and-fao-sound-alarm-global-food-crisis-tightens-its-grip-hunger-hotspots">up to 50 million</a> people are on the verge of starvation, with a famine pending that is <a href="https://news.un.org/en/story/2022/09/1126771">“a global emergency of unprecedented magnitude”</a>.  
Forget the alarming <a href="https://www.inc.com/geoffrey-james/the-y2k-disaster-scenarios-were-a-hoax.html">Y-2K predictions</a>. Now, for the second time in my adult life, I’m wondering how much medication and food I can stockpile for my family’s future safety — and if it even matters if we come to nuclear war.
China continues to make <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/entrepreneur-same-companies-that-pulled-out-of-russia-will-not-say-a-peep-when-china-invades-taiwan">credible threats to take over Taiwan</a>, which  makes the semiconductors for almost all of the mechanics of our lives, from phones to refrigerators, not to mention our medical equipment.
We have <a href="https://www.heritage.org/immigration/commentary/federal-report-shows-open-borders-bring-increased-crimes-and-costs-taxpayers">criminals walking over our border</a> who are raping <a href="https://www.heritage.org/life/commentary/biden-and-the-left-exploit-childs-tragedy-ignore-illegal-alien-who-raped-her">young girls</a>. And of those women who survive that journey, <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2019/03/03/us/border-rapes-migrant-women.html">too many are being sex trafficked</a> in our own country without our law enforcement significantly engaging to stop that flow or help the innocent caught in it.
Instead, our government responds with championing abortions for the minors who suffered along the way.
Such crimes go unpunished, and the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/thats-not-perception-thats-reality-chris-wallace-wont-let-nyc-mayor-deflect-on-crime-stats">crime rate is rising</a>, drowning our culture nationwide. I wouldn’t send my staff on the subway in New York City on a bet, and my own team faces <a href="https://www.newsweek.com/roe-almost-50-whats-next-abortion-america-opinion-1669557">physical violence and threats</a> for their pro-life views while the <a href="https://www.studentsforlifeaction.org/weaponized-doj-ignores-pro-life-community-seeks-political-gain-with-raid-of-former-presidents-home/">Department of Justice looks away</a>. 
Imagine how it felt to be a young, pro-life woman with <a href="https://studentsforlife.org/2022/10/19/watch-pro-lifers-put-up-with-a-lot-of-weirdness-this-is-a-recent-example/">Students for Life</a> at the recent Women’s March facing vicious, screaming abortion agitators yelling that they hope she’ll suffer rape. Who would wish that on a girl, even someone you disagree with? What’s wrong with them?
I’m scared of a world that hasn’t recovered from the self-imposed shutdown of the pandemic engineered by bureaucrats like Anthony “I represent science” Fauci who <a href="https://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2022/08/29/desantis_fauci_was_wrong_on_all_the_important_issues_we_need_a_reckoning_or_they_will_lockdown_harder_next_time.html">contradicted himself almost daily</a>, holding firm to one thing — obey the arbitrary rules of the day.
Meanwhile, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/active-duty-military-suicides-decreased-in-2021-report-finds">military enlistments</a> are down, and others, like some of the <a href="https://www.militarytimes.com/news/pentagon-congress/2022/04/27/the-vast-majority-of-troops-kicked-out-for-covid-vaccine-refusal-received-general-discharges/">National Guard heroes in Fort Myers</a>, are kicked out because they didn’t want to take the experimental COVID vaccines that are no longer required.
And we need a strong military, fixed on the goal of protecting our nation, not retooling Veterans’ services for abortion or a fighting force for social experiments.  
We also face the maneuverings of evil leaders in Russia, North Korea, and China, who sense there is no real American leadership.
Earlier this month, while the Left-leaning “Saturday Night Live” made fun of our mentally unfit president, our allies in Japan told their citizens to <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/breaking-japan-urges-citizens-to-take-shelter-immediately-following-north-korean-missile-launch-reports-say">run for cover as North Korea launched missiles</a> over their nation.
There are real things happening at this moment in time, but you can’t even trust the president’s  talking head, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/i-dont-even-understand-that-question-kjps-most-honest-day-ever">Karine Jean-Pierre</a>, who seems to read her binder of talking points for the first time during the daily press briefings, struggling to answer any tough questions and to say-anything-to-avoid-Trump-winning-again messaging. I’m now reading Al Jazeera and other foreign press to get an international update and a more honest assessment each morning.
Yet, the gaslighting from  Democrats continues. They tell me that what I’m supposed to be scared of is not war, plague, or famine — issues our current governmental leadership seem ill-equipped to handle — but instead a woman’s lack of availability to pay someone to end the life of her “inconvenient” child, and Donald Trump.  
Have they noticed he’s not president , but that we have a president  coming in and out of world events led by his wife, or the governor of Michigan it would appear, reaching into the air for handshakes, and unaware that dead Congresswomen rarely attend media events.
I’m scared about who is really running the country.
I’m pro-life, and I’ll vote pro-life first. But you don’t have to reject Senator Ryan’s abortion platform and that of his party to be afraid of what’s coming next. All the hyperbole in the world won’t erase this critical moment in which such a meager platform is dwarfed by real events.
I’m afraid, but I’m not stupid, and neither are my fellow Americans.

My Fear Of Who’s Running The Country Dwarfs My Deep Concern Over Abortion

Looks like Kansas will remain &#8216;Bloody Kansas&#8217; for now.
While the <a href="https://valuethemboth.com/">Value Them Both</a> ballot initiative to amend the state constitution to protect life unfortunately did not pass, the Pro-Life Generation should celebrate their efforts in the state and dig in their heels to get back to work.
As we do so, we must reflect on the reasons why this ballot initiative did not make it over the finish line — the most important being that the abortion lobby was allowed to run away from the real issue at hand (abortion) to win over the public.
The pro-abortion side of the Value Them Both Amendment debate skirted around the topic of abortion in their messaging. This strategy remains a favorite of the abortion lobby because even they know that abortion doesn’t sell. This is exactly the reason why during President Biden’s <a href="https://nam10.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.whitehouse.gov%2Fbriefing-room%2Fspeeches-remarks%2F2022%2F07%2F08%2Fremarks-by-president-biden-on-protecting-access-to-reproductive-health-care-services%2F&amp;data=05%7C01%7Ckhamrick%40studentsforlife.org%7Cc51b2bbe11ab492884fb08da7714938f%7Cb3f92ab929b141449c57d11e0e7a368a%7C0%7C0%7C637953227509205854%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000%7C%7C%7C&amp;sdata=J%2FGj8KoO8V9nxvR4Kc68rhf6skEUcTHxKEvAWcSK4pI%3D&amp;reserved=0">almost 20-minute-long address</a> on his first executive order on abortion, in which he spent a lengthy part of the speech discussing an Ohio rape victim, he barely uttered the word “abortion.” 
Despite Biden’s plea for Americans to vote for Democrats this fall because of <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2022/08/03/politics/democrats-republicans-abortion-elections-kansas/index.html">their presumed desire</a> for more abortion, they seem to avoid to saying the word.
“Abortion” is the Voldemort of Democratic Party politics, that thing which cannot be named.
The word “abortion” makes many Americans uncomfortable. This is why many abortion supporters call themselves “pro-choice.” Deep down, we all understand that there is something wrong with abortion — and this is why the abortion lobby’s best bet on winning over the American public is to get as far away from abortion in their messaging as possible.
And that’s exactly what happened in Kansas. Instead of confronting the issue, the pro-abortion side sought to confuse Kansans and run a disinformation campaign intended to scare citizens into voting ‘no’ for reasons totally unrelated to the Value Them Both initiative.
This was accomplished through misleading measures such as <a href="https://nam10.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fs3.amazonaws.com%2Fpdfweb%2Fvideos%2Fbab63c8b-6f35-47bb-a907-2ca0626047ea.mp4&amp;data=05%7C01%7Ckhamrick%40studentsforlife.org%7Cc51b2bbe11ab492884fb08da7714938f%7Cb3f92ab929b141449c57d11e0e7a368a%7C0%7C0%7C637953227509205854%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000%7C%7C%7C&amp;sdata=zADPhkUlqlZEdKStG4PDVVDqFzpN9CyXPToYYzRBgNk%3D&amp;reserved=0">television commercials</a> that never used the word “abortion” but instead fear-mongered about COVID style government overreach, using images of canceled church services and people in masks. The commercial implied that voting “yes” to Value Them Both would be akin to voting for mask mandates. 
Let’s be clear: the language of the Value Them Both Amendment would have given Kansans the freedom to pass any law they wished on abortion. The amendment simply stated that the Kansas constitution was abortion neutral. Does that sound like it has anything to do with a mask mandate? I didn’t think so, either but the confusing wording of the amendment gave an ideal opportunity for misinformation.
On top of the propaganda, dark money was the last nail in the coffin of the Value Them Both amendment. Even though Students for Life Action (SFLAction) and other pro-life groups were hard at work in the Sunflower State for several months, it’s not easy to compete with the funds pouring in from the corporate abortion industry and Hollywood.
Pro-life groups were outspent by <a href="https://nam10.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.kctv5.com%2F2022%2F07%2F19%2Ffollowing-money-millions-spent-kansas-abortion-amendment-across-country%2F&amp;data=05%7C01%7Ckhamrick%40studentsforlife.org%7Cc51b2bbe11ab492884fb08da7714938f%7Cb3f92ab929b141449c57d11e0e7a368a%7C0%7C0%7C637953227509205854%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000%7C%7C%7C&amp;sdata=Z2Z4EJdYJ8jRi0xa%2Bk%2FhQ9hT92uxWLPTbNrKj80cUJc%3D&amp;reserved=0">more than $1 million</a> because the abortion movement knew the stakes of this vote. The day before the election, the <a href="https://nam10.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.kansascity.com%2Fnews%2Fpolitics-government%2Farticle263615833.html&amp;data=05%7C01%7Ckhamrick%40studentsforlife.org%7Cc51b2bbe11ab492884fb08da7714938f%7Cb3f92ab929b141449c57d11e0e7a368a%7C0%7C0%7C637953227509205854%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000%7C%7C%7C&amp;sdata=9EW3jNFYDFJBakZB644cthOKvcv1QHhuKJzW%2BPt7Pg4%3D&amp;reserved=0">Kansas City Star</a> examined the campaign finance reports and noted that “(a)ccording to the reports Kansans for Constitutional Freedom, the primary ‘vote no’ group, outraised the primary ‘vote yes’ group, the Value Them Both Association, by nearly $2 million. Kansans for Constitutional Freedom also spent about $400,000 more than their anti-abortion counterparts.” 
It should be noted that a lot of the money spent against the abortion neutral amendment came <a href="https://nam10.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.kansascity.com%2Fnews%2Fpolitics-government%2Farticle263615833.html&amp;data=05%7C01%7Ckhamrick%40studentsforlife.org%7Cc51b2bbe11ab492884fb08da7714938f%7Cb3f92ab929b141449c57d11e0e7a368a%7C0%7C0%7C637953227509205854%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000%7C%7C%7C&amp;sdata=9EW3jNFYDFJBakZB644cthOKvcv1QHhuKJzW%2BPt7Pg4%3D&amp;reserved=0">from national groups</a>. We were up against well-funded activists from places like New York and California who were willing to throw hundreds of thousands of dollars to further the profits of the bloody abortion industry instead of helping women. Typically, these ballot initiatives don’t get as much high interest or national attention, but as this was the first state vote since the reversal of Roe, the national abortion lobby made it paramount in importance.
Just as the abortion lobby used scare tactics against Kansas citizens, the pro-abortion media has been attempting to scare pro-life politicians by publishing stories that paint these ballot initiatives as disastrous. The New York Times ponderously observed, “<a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2022/08/05/us/politics/republicans-abortion-kansas.html">Republicans Begin Adjusting to a Fierce Abortion Backlash</a>,” while CNN trumpeted: “<a href="https://www.cnn.com/2022/08/03/politics/democrats-republicans-abortion-elections-kansas/index.html">Kansas will not be our last fight&#8217;: Abortion rights victory gives Democrats new hope for midterms.</a>”
Such spin cannot be taken as fact, as Americans explore new freedoms to pass pro-life laws. If we’ve learned anything about fighting Roe v. Wade for almost 50 years, it’s that we won’t win every time. But we can win.  
The pro-life movement needs to understand that playing it “politically safe” and running away from the pro-abortion bully is not how we win. That’s how we get chased and beaten up. If we proudly state our beliefs, however, we can force our opponent to state theirs — starting with at least saying the word ‘abortion.’  
We’ve had victories of our own in ballot campaigns in the past. A Pro-Abortion Sleight Of Hand: How Leftists Used A Disinformation Campaign To Misdirect Kansans

Almost 50 years ago, seven men spotted the word “abortion,” written in invisible ink in our nation’s founding Constitution, and in two decisions – Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton – they <a href="https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2019/aug/15/roe-v-wade-fault-line/">destroyed</a> all abortion laws in the 50 states.
It created legal chaos.
They bullied their pro-abortion viewpoint into the law without evidence, a <a href="https://www.scstatehouse.gov/CommitteeInfo/SenateMedicalAffairsCommittee/The_Medical_Assumption_Roe_Clark_Forsythe.pdf">trial</a>, or even any national consensus. They also made possible the deaths of more than <a href="https://www.nationalrighttolifenews.org/2022/01/factsheet-reported-annual-abortions-1973-2019/">63 million</a> preborn infants and counting. But according to a leaked <a href="https://www.politico.com/f/?id=00000180-874f-dd36-a38c-c74f98520000">draft</a> of a Supreme Court decision in the Dobbs v. Jackson case that challenged Roe’s extremism, Roe and Doe may soon be historical footnotes.
Despite the frenzied <a href="https://www.plannedparenthood.org/about-us/newsroom/press-releases/planned-parenthood-on-supreme-court-leak-our-worst-fears-confirmed-supreme-court-appears-poised-to-overturn-roe">response</a> of the billion-dollar abortion franchise, the sky is not falling (although their profits might). In fact, what happens next is a return of the issue of abortion to the states for a discussion and a debate blocked by the courts for too long. The reason is simple. While abortion is not in the Constitution, states’ rights are.
Roe’s flaws in blocking engagement with people drew even the ire of pro-abortion Justice <a href="https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2019/aug/15/roe-v-wade-fault-line/">Ruth Bader Ginsburg,</a> who, like many people, believed the Supreme Court was mistaken when it bypassed “we the people” and “invited no dialogue with legislators.” It also had no connection to logic or the law.
In 1973, in the <a href="https://www.jstor.org/stable/795536">Yale Law Journal</a>, legal luminary John Hart Ely wrote a devastating analysis of Roe’s flaws. Though he supported abortion, he knew Roe and Doe were nonsense.
Ely ridiculed the Supreme Court’s choice for viability as a “magic moment” that offers certain rights for humans without explaining the reasoning behind that unprecedented line in the gestational sand.
The state has a right to make laws, even when humans are not involved. Ely wrote that in fact, “It has never been held or even asserted that the state interest needed to justify forcing a person to refrain from an activity, whether or not that activity is constitutionally protected, must implicate either the life or the constitutional rights of another person. Dogs are not ‘persons in the whole sense’ nor have they constitutional rights, but that does not mean that the state cannot prohibit killing them.” 
 
And that’s an important point, can a state pass laws to protect preborn life? Before 1973, the answer was yes. And we’ve been trying to get back there ever since.
After Roe shut down most discussions of abortion, several cases challenged its iron rule. Not much happened. But in 1992, a case known as <a href="https://www.​inquirer.​com/news/planned-parenthood-v-casey-abortion-ruling-pennsylvania-alito-20220503.html">Planned Parenthood v. Casey</a> cracked open the door for more regulation of abortion.
It’s important to understand that prior to Roe, almost all <a href="https://www.​guttmacher.​org/gpr/2003/03/lessons-roe-will-past-be-prologue">states</a> severely prohibited abortion or limited it to saving a mother’s life. And that’s how it will be again, each state making a choice (and pro-choice is supposed to be good, right?)
Today, 26 <a href="https://nypost.​com/2022/05/03/26-states-where-abortion-will-be-illegal-if-roe-v-wade-falls/">states</a> are ready with limits on the deadly procedure. And Students for Life Action has been working to add even more.
Over the last two years, Students for Life Action has worked in 30 states, to rebuild protections for life with an emphasis on early abortion — as more than 9 in 10 abortions take place by 12 weeks, according to the <a href="https://www.​cdc.​gov/reproductivehealth/data_stats/abortion.htm">CDC</a>. As we <a href="https://www.​washingtonpost.​com/nation/2022/05/02/abortion-ban-roe-supreme-court-mississippi/">said</a> to members of Congress just this week, “If we are not focusing on limiting early abortions, we are not really addressing the violence of abortion at all.”
One example is Heartbeat <a href="https://studentsforlife.​org/2022/02/07/life-is-up-in-texas-thanks-heartbeat-bill/">legislation</a> that protects humans with the universal sign of life. We’ve also worked to ban online, no test distribution of <a href="https://thisischemicalabortion.​com/">Chemical Abortion Pills</a> that can leave women injured, infertile, and even <a href="https://thefederalist.​com/2022/01/12/injury-infertility-and-death-from-chemical-abortions-are-a-ok-with-the-fda/">dead</a> – and that now are used to commit at least 54% of all <a href="https://www.​guttmacher.​org/article/2022/02/medication-abortion-now-accounts-more-half-all-us-abortions">abortion</a>. And we’ve championed a Protection at Conception <a href="https://www.​studentsforlifeaction.​org/protection-at-conception-pledge/">initiative</a>.
While we work to protect life in law, we also work to protect life in service. For SFLA, that means our Standing with You <a href="https://www.​standingwithyou.​org/">initiative</a> that connects women with vital resources. The pro-life movement has always prioritized caring for women and their children, born and preborn as our hallmark achievement. As noted at a pro-life coalition event on <a href="https://studentsforlife.​org/2022/02/14/the-pro-life-movement-to-women-happy-valentines-day/">Valentine’s Day</a>, “We live in a country with about 3,000 pregnancy resource centers and approximately 400 maternity homes, offering free services and tangible support to women and their families during pregnancy and motherhood.”
While the pro-life movement is making plans to expand legal protections for the preborn and their mothers, as well as adding supportive services for them, others prepare to bring abortion violence to the <a href="https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2022/05/03/abortion-rights-protests-supreme-court-leak/9628280002/">streets</a>.
As I wrote in <a href="https://www.​newsweek.​com/roe-almost-50-whats-next-abortion-america-opinion-1669557">Newsweek</a>, pro-life work today means being ready for ugly confrontations.
Threats and acts of violence against pro-life activists are becoming increasingly common. Students for Life students and team members have endured everything from <a href="https://www.​youtube.​com/watch?v=qxtrYrwy6a8">physical</a> <a href="https://www.​studentsforlifeaction.​org/female-team-member-punched-at-supreme-court/">attacks</a> and <a href="https://www.​foxnews.​com/opinion/pro-choice-instigators-crossing-the-line-from-harassment-into-dehumanization">arson</a> to <a href="https://studentsforlife.​org/2019/09/19/horrible-pro-choicer-creates-bomb-scare/">bomb threats</a> and <a href="https://www.​campusreform.​org/?ID=10753">intimidation</a>, making security <a href="https://www.​wsj.​com/articles/campus-censorship-hits-pro-lifers-hard-1526942093">issues</a> a vital concern and expense for pro-life events. When Justice <a href="https://www.​newsweek.​com/topic/brett-kavanaugh">Brett Kavanaugh</a> — who was seen as a possible pro-life vote — was confirmed to the Supreme Court, protestors stormed the Court, <a href="https://www.​nbcnews.​com/politics/supreme-court/protests-build-capitol-hill-ahead-brett-kavanaugh-vote-n917351">banging</a> on the doors. Outside the <a>U.​S.​,</a> violent protests broke out in <a href="https://abcnews.​go.​com/Health/wireStory/polish-court-seals-divisive-ruling-tighten-abortion-law-75517953">Poland</a> and <a href="https://www.​cnn.​com/2021/09/29/americas/latin-american-abortion-rights-protests-intl/index.html">Latin America</a> when those countries contemplated pro-life policies. Black-clad demonstrators have protested my own speaking <a href="https://www.​christianpost.​com/news/antifa-protests-christian-fascist-students-for-life-president-kristen-hawkins.html">tours</a> and recently the Chicago <a href="https://www.​breitbart.​com/faith/2022/01/09/antifa-counter-protest-at-march-for-life-chicago/">March for Life</a>.
But as I travel across the country on behalf of an organization that operates in all 50 states, I find courageous Millennials, Gen Z, and Gen Y ready to take their place on the front lines to make abortion unthinkable and unimaginable. Their love is fierce and focused, and they&#8217;re ready to vote pro-life first.
On the other side, all they have is the deliberate ending of innocent life – for profit &#8212; hidden behind talking points. But if your “healthcare” kills people on purpose, you’re doing it wrong.
