Brace yourselves. The Left is gearing up for another “summer of love” and fiery (but mostly peaceful) protests following this month’s unprecedented leak of a draft Supreme Court opinion in the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization case. The leaked opinion, written by Justice Samuel Alito, indicates that the Court is planning to overturn the landmark 1973 Supreme Court decision — known as Roe v. Wade — that granted abortion rights nationwide. 
 Within “<a href="https://twitter.com/cami_mondeaux/status/1521296227291312133?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1521296227291312133%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_c10&amp;ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.washingtonexaminer.com%2Fnews%2Fhundreds-protest-in-front-of-supreme-court-after-leaked-decision-on-roe-v-wade">just minutes</a>” of the SCOTUS leak being published, Supreme Court security personnel began erecting barricades around the building. Moments later, hundreds of protesters on both sides of the abortion issue arrived with hastily constructed placards.
Less than two years after the George Floyd riots rocked Minnesota — and cities all over — America is facing another nationwide violent leftist uprising that could be even bigger than the last. Afterall, the identity groups the Left often seeks to enrage — Black lives and women — are disproportionately sized. Black Americans make up less than fifteen percent of the American population while women make up roughly fifty percent of the population.
Blue states (and <a href="https://finance.yahoo.com/news/austin-mayor-leaked-supreme-court-abortion-opinion-191729321.html">cities</a>) are readying their autonomous abortion zones. Woke corporations like Amazon, who funded BLM causes to the tune of <a href="https://www.aboutamazon.com/news/policy-news-views/amazon-donates-10-million-to-organizations-supporting-justice-and-equity">$10 million</a> after the George Floyd incident, have now <a href="https://www.reuters.com/business/retail-consumer/amazon-reimburse-us-employees-who-travel-treatments-including-abortions-2022-05-02/">pledged to pay the abortion tourism travel costs</a> for employees living in red states. Other woke corporations like Yelp, Uber, Lyft, and Citigroup have made similar assurances.
Many Leftwing journalists are rooting for fires, violence and chaos. Immediately after Alito’s draft opinion leaked (and before any fires had been started), a reporter for Vox praised the “hero” leaker for effectively saying “<a href="https://www.foxnews.com/media/vox-journo-scorched-cheering-hero-scotus-leaker-lets-burn-this-place-down">f&#8212; it! Let’s burn this place down</a>.” Now, at least one fire has been started when a violent rioter in Madison, Wisconsin allegedly attempted to burn down a pro-life group’s headquarters with a Molotov cocktail. 
“More of this,” <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/media/reporter-violence-pro-lifers-peace-safety-dead">tweeted one leftwing reporter</a> in response to the news of the arson. “May these people never know a moment of peace or safety until they rot in the ground,” the reporter wrote, referring to the pro-life group. 
The violence is ramping up. On Tuesday night in Los Angeles, furious protesters <a href="https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2022/05/04/riot-in-los-angeles-as-pro-abortion-activists-confront-police/">turned into rioters</a> when they took over an intersection en route from a federal courthouse. The rioters vandalized a public walkway, smashed the windows of a local business, and pounded on law enforcement vehicles, breaking at least one police car window. 
In cities on both coasts, pro-abortion rioters have vandalized pro-life women’s pregnancy centers that provide support and encouragement for women who want to keep their babies. 
CareNet of Frederick in Maryland was smashed on Tuesday, and 48 hours later, the same thing happened to First Image’s Southeast Portland Pregnancy Resource Center in Oregon. One Antifa twitter account <a href="https://twitter.com/MrAndyNgo/status/1522396473983438848">has compiled a list</a> of Portland area pro-life centers that offer abortion alternatives.

A pro-abortion group called Ruth Sent Us, which aims to “rise up against a corrupt and illegitimate Supreme Court,” has posted the home addresses of the “six extremist justices” they are blaming for the decision. Over the weekend, rioters set up camp outside the homes of Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Brett Kavanaugh (a frightening development that the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/they-effectively-endorsed-it-white-house-dragged-for-failing-to-condemn-protests-at-justices-homes">Biden White House has refused to condemn</a>). 
In addition to doxing and intimidating Supreme Court Justices by organizing protests outside their private homes, the radical Leftwing group has also targeted churches and organized Mother’s Day service uprisings.
“Whether you’re a ‘Catholic for Choice,’ ex-Catholic, of other or no faith, recognize that six extremist Catholics set out to overturn Roe,” Ruth Sent Us <a href="https://twitter.com/RuthSentUs/status/1521566593850826752">tweeted</a> following the leak of the opinion. “Stand at or in a local Catholic Church Sun May 8. #WarOnWomen #MothersDayStrike.”
Attached to the tweet was a video of pro-abortionists dressed up in “The Handmaid’s Tale” costumes. The Handmaid’s Tale, a TV show based on Margaret Atwood’s dystopian novel where women are treated as slaves by a fascist government has become a symbol for many pro-abortion rioters. Dressed in the iconic red handmaid’s cloaks with white bonnets, the protesters shouted, “Without this basic right, women can’t be free!&#8230; Abortion on demand and without apology!”
One pastor, Reverend Gurnee of St. Joe’s Catholic Church on Capitol Hill, pleaded with law enforcement to protect his congregation and “be ready to intervene” in the event the agitators disrupt the church service. Rev. Gurnee has urged his congregation “not to engage” with the rioters. 
On social media, many pro-abortionists are very clearly calling for violence. “There’s only one solution to this… It starts with V and ends with E and it’s not Vote,” said one TikTok user insinuating violence was a solution. “If they actually do this, this would be a time that rioting would be ok. I got the pitchforks, you get the gas and the torches,” said another TikTok user. “Do you ever wake up in the morning and think “I just want to burn it all to the ground?” said another.
“You think the global protests around George Floyd were big? You just f&#8212;ing wait when you launch an attack on 50% of the American population.”

I flew across the United States with my riot gear and put my life at risk to report on the radical left’s violent tactics.

Most of the pro-abortion rioters do not seem to understand that overturning Roe v. Wade does not mean abortions are automatically banned, but will instead be regulated at the state level.
Just like the 2020 BLM riots, when these pro-abortion activists fail to have their demands met, they resort to violence and the abolishment of norms. All too often, their violent reactions make it harder to tackle hot-button issues like justice reform and abortion rights.

The month of May marks many things: Mother’s Day, Memorial Day, warmer weather, and a sense that summer’s right around the corner. Sadly, for many, myself included, May also marks the moment the country’s perception of the police changed overnight — when George Floyd was killed by former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin. 
Understandably, people were upset with Chauvin’s actions, but the Twin Cities decided to take things to a whole new level by rioting outside the 3rd Precinct on a daily basis after the incident, leading to a chain of events that saw mass destruction to Minneapolis and St. Paul. The rioting and its devastating aftermath were not contained in Minnesota, either. Soon, whole cities were engulfed in riots, with participants justifying their actions because of what happened to Floyd.
It wasn’t just rioters who were trying to claim what they were doing — setting buildings on fire and attacking police officers — was actually a good thing. Media members also downplayed or excused the rioters’ wrath. Many within the mainstream media became the BLM and Antifa rioters’ rapid response team by trying to put the chaotic events in “context.” This grew into a cycle that I became all too familiar with when I went to cover people in the BLM and Antifa movements finding any excuse, no matter how thin, to riot in city after city throughout 2020.

The media’s rush to defend the rioters was frustrating to see while witnessing the riots firsthand. Oftentimes, it was minority neighborhoods that bore the brunt of the damage caused by “racial justice” actors, <a href="https://fee.org/articles/george-floyd-riots-caused-record-setting-2-billion-in-damage-new-report-says-here-s-why-the-true-cost-is-even-higher/">totaling</a> at least $2 billion by the third month.
We don’t have to look far to find examples of the BLM and abolish the police movements’ forces trying to glorify riots. The end of this past April marked the 30-year anniversary of the Los Angeles riots that broke out in 1992 following the acquittal of city police officers who were caught on film beating Rodney King.
 People’s City Council &#8211; Los Angeles, a popular Twitter account for progressive causes, <a href="https://twitter.com/PplsCityCouncil/status/1520194468409790465">tweeted</a> the following with pictures of the devastation: “TODAY IN HISTORY &#8211;  April 29, 1992. Today marks the 30 year anniversary of the 1992 LA uprisings. The city will never forget this and we shall rise up again. POWER TO LOOTERS. POWER TO RIOTERS.”
Calling the ’92 riots an “uprising” has become a popular tactic with the BLM to abolish the police movements. It seeks to legitimize the destruction of the property of people who had nothing to do with what caused the outrage in the first place, lumping it under the umbrella of the objectively true message that Black lives matter.
I should know. I documented the riots as they were happening during that hectic year and followed up with survivors months later for my <a href="https://www.amazon.com/Fiery-But-Mostly-Peaceful-Gaslighting-ebook/dp/B09SJ621YW/ref=sr_1_1?crid=1HT63NBZG01T0&amp;keywords=fiery+but+mostly+peaceful&amp;qid=1651540475&amp;sprefix=fiery+but+mostly+peaceful%2Caps%2C73&amp;sr=8-1">book</a>, “Fiery But Mostly Peaceful.” I wrote the book because I wanted to have a physical record of what occurred in 2020 since, while many things can remain on the internet forever, these days it’s not a guarantee. 
Not only do we have to worry about Big Tech censoring my reporting on the riots because it went against the broader “mostly peaceful” narrative, but now we have to be concerned with the Department of Homeland Security’s “Disinformation Governance Board” created by the Biden administration. The <a href="https://www.newsweek.com/who-nina-jankowicz-head-joe-biden-disinformation-governance-board-1701677">person</a> put in charge of this Ministry of Truth has been revealed to be a hardcore partisan for Democrats. There are a lot of questions over how exactly this board will carry out its mission to combat “disinformation,” but if the riots and the COVID-19 pandemic have taught us anything, it’s that the powers that be — Big Tech, the media, and our government — will lie or gaslight us even about things that can be plainly seen to be the opposite of what they say they are.
This brings us back to what will be retold on the second anniversary of Floyd’s death. His death should not have happened, but neither should the riots that followed. Ordinary Americans’ lives were turned upside down as police were overwhelmed or told to pull away from areas that were controlled by the rioters. 
Over a year later, survivors of the riots told me that the feeling of something like that happening again was very much on their minds. In order to prevent something like that from happening again, we have to accurately remember what transpired. Yes, there were many peaceful BLM protests. But there were also many riots that cost lives and millions of dollars. Two years later, the country is continuing to see a high violent crime rate that was jump-started by the riots and fueled by progressive “racial justice” policies. Two wrongs don’t make a right and the ends certainly didn’t justify the means.
