Is there anything the Left won&#8217;t blame on their fantastical scapegoat, climate change? Don&#8217;t bet on it. Their latest dodge is blaming the border crisis, which they created, on the climate crisis, which they invented.
A Politico article is headlined, &#8220;It&#8217;s Not a Border Crisis. It&#8217;s a Climate Crisis.&#8221; That&#8217;s a convenient twofer. Never let an opportunity to blame a crisis on climate change go to waste. Well played.
But to the Left, I guess the border catastrophe isn&#8217;t a crisis. How could you support open borders and think that the invasion by invitation is a crisis? How could America-resenting leftists regard the influx of millions of new Democrat voters a crisis? It would be like the Democrats being apoplectic over federal spending. Nope. Not gonna happen. If only these migrants knew that leftist policies are on the way to turning this country into a socialist state — you know, the kind they&#8217;re escaping from.
But let&#8217;s quit playing games. This is very serious and getting more so every day. U.S. Customs and Border Protection reported that June border apprehension numbers reached a 21-year high, with more than 188,000 arrests and more than 1.1 million this year to date.
Even more troubling: This is not a seasonal spike as Democrats have been saying. The numbers of crossings usually rise in the spring and then recede in the summer, but the numbers are still increasing. At this rate, we&#8217;ll break the 2006 record. President Joe Biden and his faithful party continue to deny, obfuscate and deceive, but none of their rationalizations hold water — and they know it.
This is a crisis purely of their making; reversing President Donald Trump&#8217;s border policies, emasculating Immigrations and Customs Enforcement, and rolling out the red carpet for illegals is hardly going to deter attempted crossings. Indeed, we can trace these endless crossing spikes directly to these and Biden&#8217;s other wanton policies of scrapping the &#8220;Remain in Mexico&#8221; policy, ending border wall construction and supporting the Obama-era Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals.
Not that you would expect the Left to be consistent, but they sure are fair-weather opponents of COVID-19. Just as they never objected to maskless left-wing rioters or fleeing Texas Democrat lawmakers, they seem wholly indifferent to the hazards of COVID-19-infected migrants. No, actually, they are worse than indifferent. Here, they are COVID-19 enablers, given their plan to end Title 42, the law Trump invoked to refuse entry to immigrants with the virus. This, despite knowing and even admitting that this action will cause a new influx of migrants and possibly result in Homeland Security having to process up to 1,200 family units a day. COVID-19 infection rates in emergency shelters for migrant youth are reportedly between 15% and 20%.
You don&#8217;t have to be a cynic to know that Democrats are pushing amnesty for reasons other than human compassion. And their methods are brazen and obscene. They are trying to sneak a &#8220;pathway to citizenship&#8221; into their reckless $3.5 trillion budget plan ostensibly to support families and generate job growth. Never mind their audacity in pretending to be pro-jobs when their endless government handouts are keeping people from seeking employment and exacerbating the plight of businesses starved for workers. Never mind that amnesty will encourage even more migrants to stampede toward our border. But to include amnesty provisions in an infrastructure bill is insultingly deceitful.
Could an unintended consequence of Biden&#8217;s border disaster be a reconciliation between the Bushes and Trumps? Don&#8217;t be silly. Let&#8217;s not get carried away. But it is noteworthy that George P. Bush, Texas land commissioner and nephew of former President George W. Bush (no immigration hawk by anyone&#8217;s estimation), has sued the Biden administration for ending border wall construction in his state. &#8220;Farmers and ranchers are long accustomed to illegal activity, but it&#8217;s reached a point where it&#8217;s not sustainable, and we need help from the federal government,&#8221; said Bush.
Well, what do you know! Isn&#8217;t it interesting, by the way, that in opposing the wall, Democrats claimed it was cruel and ineffective. How can it be cruel if it is ineffective? Why go to the trouble of tearing it down if it wasn&#8217;t working? Oh, that&#8217;s right. It was working. Kudos to Texas Gov. Greg Abbott for his initiative to build a wall, and bravo to all those cruel people who donated $400,000 to the project in the first week. I wonder if they think it will be ineffective.
As the Left and Democratic elected officials continue their scorched-earth assault on reasonable and sane public policies, hopefully more states and private individuals and entities will exercise self-help to combat this lunacy.

Most people sense that America is under assault by America-hating forces and worry that our freedoms are actually in jeopardy. Mark Levin&#8217;s new book, &#8220;American Marxism,&#8221; confirms those fears, exposes the chilling aims and methods of these malicious groups, and provides a blueprint to restore America to a path of recovery.
Levin has a gift for distilling abstract ideas into understandable terms for lay consumption. I&#8217;ve personally written and discussed many of the ideas he addresses in this compelling book but had not considered the term &#8220;counterrevolution&#8221; to describe what we&#8217;re witnessing.
He is exactly right. This is a counterrevolution to the American revolution, and horrifyingly, &#8220;It is devouring our society and culture, swirling around our everyday lives, and ubiquitous in our politics, schools, media, and entertainment.&#8221; He is also correct that this disturbing insurrection is no longer a fringe movement but is in the mainstream of our culture and institutions.
Mark identifies the source of this threat — Marxism — the sinister, utopian ideology &#8220;responsible for the enslavement, impoverishment, torture, and death of untold millions.&#8221; But he goes further and usefully tags the particular brand of this menace as &#8220;American Marxism&#8221;: &#8220;the application and adaption of core Marxist teachings to American society and culture.&#8221;
What makes the counterrevolutionaries particularly dangerous is their sophisticated techniques of distorting language, disguising their true intent with deceitful euphemisms to disarm patriots and facilitate their scheme to fundamentally transform this nation into something unrecognizable to its founders and wholly unacceptable to all who cherish and revere the glorious American experiment in self-governance. They&#8217;ve labeled themselves &#8220;progressives,&#8221; &#8220;social activists&#8221; and other innocuous-sounding terms because they know Americans still, by the grace of God, reject naked Marxism. More recently, they operate under such organizations as Black Lives Matter, cloaking their anti-capitalist designs in a facade of racial, environmental or gender justice. They have foisted their once-ridiculed notion of critical race theory into the forefront of our lives, forcing this dangerous philosophy into mainstream societal acceptance.
Race agitation isn&#8217;t their only weapon. They&#8217;ve achieved considerable traction in the advancement of their agenda through divisive class warfare, which fuels their destructive policies of obscene deficit spending, confiscatory taxation, and runaway governmental and bureaucratic regulation.
Their shameless employment of identity politics is just one of many arrows in their quiver. They expand their arsenal to ensure that certain setbacks will not ultimately thwart their agenda. To shore up their bases, they promote extraconstitutional schemes to crush their opposition through ostensibly legal means, such as changing the voting rules to rig the playing field in favor of their candidates. In the name of preserving our democratic processes, they pervert them — disenfranchising people while pretending to protect their voting rights.
We saw this on the front pages lately when President Joe Biden preposterously argued that such election-integrity measures as voter ID were the greatest threat to American democracy since the Civil War. He also scored a twofer, as he invoked race — echoing his party&#8217;s position that these laws are a new form of heinous Jim Crow legislation. Anyone with half a brain recognizes that eliminating the requirement of proving one&#8217;s identity as a condition to voting destroys rather than safeguards the integrity of the election process. Anyone with half a molecule of discernment understands that to equate voter ID laws to suppression of the Black vote is the worst kind of patronizing insult to Black voters, who these demagogues imply aren&#8217;t capable of furnishing proof of their own identity.
Levin astutely notes that while the counterrevolutionaries were formerly very cautious in concealing their goals, they are becoming more confident with their recent successes and thus more outspoken and brazen about who they are. They&#8217;ve also developed another formidable weapon to impose their ideas, which is to intimidate, silence and cancel those who dare to oppose them or who even casually violate their draconian rules for acceptable speech and behavior.
The stakes couldn&#8217;t be higher. Whereas the American Revolution was founded on liberty and representative government and led to the freest and most powerful nation in history, the counterrevolution aims to destroy our form of government, our cherished liberties, our society and our way of life.
Levin soberly observes that to defeat the threat we face, &#8220;a unified, patriotic front of previously docile &#8230; factions and forces&#8221; that believes America is worthy of defending must emerge. People of good will must wake up to the gravity of the threats we face and recognize &#8220;the urgency of the moment&#8221; and rise up to take back this nation.
In &#8220;American Marxism,&#8221; Mark Levin paints a bleak picture of an America under siege, but he offers hope that we can turn this around and inspires us to unite around the noble cause of liberty and the salvation of the greatest nation the world has ever known.

As absurd, extreme and reckless as the American left has been on race, and despite growing public disapproval of their antics, they are doubling down rather than pulling back.
On the Fourth of July, Utah&#8217;s Black Lives Matter chapter described the American flag as &#8220;a symbol of hatred.&#8221;
&#8220;When we Black Americans see this flag we know the person flying it is not safe to be around,&#8221; it declared. &#8220;When we see this flag we know the person flying it is a racist. When we see this flag we know that the person flying it lives in a different America than we do. When we see this flag, we question your intelligence. We know to avoid you. It is a symbol of hatred.&#8221;
Lex Scott, the chapter&#8217;s founder, was hardly sorry when called out on the statement. &#8220;Ever since we put up the post, our page has been flooded with hatred from people who fly the flag,&#8221; said Scott. &#8220;And we want to thank those people for proving our point.&#8221; It seems that all flag-waving patriots are to be lumped in with the Ku Klux Klan, because according to Scott, the Klan &#8220;proudly&#8221; waves the flag at their rallies. I&#8217;m sure it would never occur to Scott that her categorical smear smacks of the same type of shameful mindset that drives racism.
Scott&#8217;s statements are not representative of the left, you say? Well, how often have you heard a progressive condemn or even mildly criticize Black Lives Matter? Have you ever heard one criticize its Marxist roots? Aren&#8217;t you more likely to see leftists defending the organization and imploring us to understand its genuine grievances?
It&#8217;s not just Black Lives Matter — not by a long shot. Pretty much the entire leftist freight train is steamrolling its way through our cultural, educational and media institutions — even our bar associations — not to stamp out actual racism but to ensure that it thrives, to force people to obsess on it as much as they do and to divide us as a people along racial lines.
A friend&#8217;s son was given an assignment in a university writing class requiring him, essentially, to explain why white people are privileged and bad. You can nitpick over my words, but you&#8217;ve surely heard similar stories. But be careful that you don&#8217;t confirm that you&#8217;ve heard of such experiences lest you be accused of &#8220;white fragility,&#8221; you know, the unwillingness to condemn yourself as a racist for what others may or may not have done, and your audacity in disputing the narrative. Just imagine being wrongly accused of one of the most egregious sins imaginable and lifting one of your pinkies in self-defense. How dare you!
Consider a less anecdotal example. American Federation of Teachers president Randi Weingarten asserted that many GOP legislators &#8220;are bullying teachers (on the subject of race) and trying to stop us from teaching students accurate history.&#8221; She shared her views during a livestreamed conference billed as &#8220;How to Be an Antiracist.&#8221; This teacher&#8217;s union has some 1.7 million members, incidentally.
Illustrating her formidable skill at projection, she allowed that these Republicans might just be trying to &#8220;raise the temperature on race relations because of the next election.&#8221; Even more delusionally, she claimed that &#8220;culture warriors are labeling any discussion of race, racism or discrimination as (critical race theory) to try to make it toxic&#8221; — as if conservatives launched the so-called culture wars, and as if we are the ones toxifying society through endless, fraudulent stereotypical racial smears.
Apparently, Weingarten is outraged that 26 states — so far — have introduced bills or taken other action to limit or ban the teaching of critical race theory in public schools. She&#8217;s not alone. The National Education Association just passed a resolution to &#8220;fight back against anti-CRT rhetoric.&#8221; The stated intent of the broader resolution — New Business Item 39 — is to share and publicize research that &#8220;critiques empire, white supremacy, anti-Blackness, anti-Indigeneity, racism, patriarchy, cisheteropatriarchy, capitalism, ableism, anthropocentrism, and other forms of power and oppression at the intersections of our society.&#8221; Orwell was obviously a piker.
The NEA also allocated $56,500 to &#8220;research organizations attacking educators doing anti-racist work.&#8221; And they want to talk to us about bullying?
These progressive educators don&#8217;t think it&#8217;s appropriate for parents to stand up against teaching ideas euphemistically dressed up as &#8220;accurate history&#8221; even though poll after poll shows that a strong majority of Americans have a negative view of critical race theory?
I&#8217;m old enough — actually, my kids are old enough — to remember when our society overwhelmingly embraced Martin Luther King Jr.&#8217;s dream that all people be judged by the content of the character rather than the color of their skin. How far we&#8217;ve descended.
Don&#8217;t be bullied by those seeking to intimidate you with false charges of racism from standing up for your children, for accurate history and for promoting the laudatory goal of seeing and treating people of all races as individuals made in God&#8217;s image.

If I were leading President Joe Biden&#8217;s central committee and my goal were to destroy America as founded and ensure that it lose its distinction as the world&#8217;s freest and most powerful nation, I doubt I could concoct a superior strategy than adopting the Biden administration&#8217;s message and policy agenda.
The administration is creating total societal chaos, fomenting disorder and undermining the rule of law at every turn. As the first duty of government is to protect and defend its citizens, we might be alarmed to consider that the administration is engaged in a multipronged strategy to do the opposite. It is shrinking our military, which defends against foreign threats. It is at war with law enforcement, which ensures domestic tranquility, and it is destroying our southern border. It is systematically destroying our liberty and prosperity.
Could there be a better formula for societal and national destruction? Most of these matters are not debatable.
Yes, we are emasculating our military at warp speed and converting it into a playground for social experiments and racial disharmony, just when China is hellbent on world domination and aggressively expanding its military and technological budgets and flexing its muscles around the globe. Never mind the militant designs of Russia and Iran, to name a few, and disregard that other freedom-friendly nations are hardly in a position to pick up the slack.
While our Democrat-controlled cities are descending into craven crime centers, much of the Democratic Party is doubling down on the police-bashing-and-defunding policies that created this anarchy. Their inflammatory racial rhetoric is obliterating race relations in the cities and harming most the people they pretend to protect. Almost laughably, their leaders are now pretending they aren&#8217;t the ones who clamored for defunding, exposing themselves as liars and revealing they now realize how utterly ludicrous their policies have been.
In deliberately erasing our southern border, we are making a mockery of our sovereignty and national security and gutting what once might have been considered the unique American culture — a culture, by the way, that respected God and promoted individual liberty, personal responsibility and human dignity, irrespective of race.
While our border is a now a Biden-charged magnet for the infusion of millions of illegal aliens, Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris brazenly attempt to blame it on former President Donald Trump and daftly suggest we explore &#8220;root causes&#8221; for the mass migration, as if we don&#8217;t know the exact, direct and proximate cause of this disaster and as if we can solve this by throwing money at liberty-deprived and corrupt nations. Does anyone really believe the reckless nonsense our pseudo-leaders are mouthing? Have they no shame, self-awareness or capacity for embarrassment?
We are spending federal money as if there were no tomorrow — and, incidentally, thereby ensuring that there might not be. Indeed, while our national debt is hyper-stratospheric, these White House lunatics are determined to make it higher, permanently, all under the fraudulent auspices of racial justice and equity.
This Democratic Party doesn&#8217;t even aspire to reduce spending. Having ingested the sweet narcotic of endless government spending, they continue behaving as if they really believe we&#8217;ll never have to experience the consequences of our profligacy. We already are seeing alarming inflation across the board as a direct result of this madness. But our self-important clowns cavalierly dismiss these concerns, proudly believing they can fool reality by artificially tinkering with interest rates from their ivory towers.
While gas prices are soaring because of Biden&#8217;s war on domestic energy and quixotic pursuit of environmental utopia, he and his handlers are doubling down here, too — with the unconcealed aim of destroying our only realistic, reliable and affordable sources of energy.
Our ruling class is behaving as a group of adolescent children whose parents are on permanent vacation and left them their checkbook along with the keys to the car and liquor cabinet. Where are the adults?
On top of all this, while patriotic Olympians gratefully honor the flag, a leftist activist one spits on it — as the cowardly (or unpatriotic) Biden administration stays silent about this disgrace, just like it stays silent as Israel-and-America-hating Rep. Ilhan Omar retracts her retraction of her latest antisemitic slur.
Honestly, I can barely stand to watch the unfolding horror show, which gets more chilling with every real-life scene. But I can&#8217;t change the channel, nor can you. As a once self-ruling people, we are effectively impotent, at least in the short term, to alter our collision course with Dante&#8217;s Ninth Circle of Hell.
I know I&#8217;m not the only one who feels this way and who is seeing this nightmare with eyes wide open. In fact, I&#8217;d bet that most Americans sense something is drastically wrong and that this nation is rapidly slipping away right before our eyes as we squander the legacy of liberty bequeathed to us by preceding generations of patriots who toiled and bled to secure and preserve for themselves and us the things that we once knew matter most.
I realize the race-baiters and gaslighters believe they have us finally muzzled, but they will soon find we haven&#8217;t given up. They haven&#8217;t deflated us; they haven&#8217;t weakened our resolve. They have emboldened us to take our country back, and I believe we will. I truly believe we will.

LIMBAUGH: On A Collision Course With National Disaster

Colorado baker Jack Phillips is a perpetual offender. He simply will not do. His offense? Unswervingly honoring his deeply held, and constitutionally protected, religious beliefs.
We&#8217;ve all heard of Phillips and his travails. Leftist bullies have been tormenting him for years, beginning in 2012, when the Colorado Civil Rights Commission targeted him for refusing to make a custom-designed cake to celebrate a same-sex wedding.
After several setbacks in various tribunals, Phillips was finally vindicated in a 7-to-2 U.S. Supreme Court ruling holding that the state of Colorado had shown &#8220;clear and impermissible hostility&#8221; toward Phillips&#8217; religious convictions in violation of his First Amendment rights.
If there&#8217;s one thing as certain as death and taxes, it&#8217;s that the Left is indefatigable and heartless. They make it personal when you don&#8217;t bend to their wishes. It was personal against Phillips — and they made an example of him.
So, the state persisted, as if neither embarrassed nor chastened by the court&#8217;s decision. The Left didn&#8217;t take a breath. Within weeks of the court&#8217;s ruling, it targeted Phillips again for a different but strikingly similar sin: refusing to build a custom cake celebrating a gender transition.
Specifically, attorney Autumn Scardina had requested that Phillips make a cake blue on the outside and pink on the inside to symbolize the transition from male to female. Just as with the same-sex-wedding cake, Phillips declined, explaining it would violate his religious beliefs to do so.
Phillips finally had enough. He filed a federal lawsuit against the Colorado Civil Rights Commission for pursuing him again, based on Scardina&#8217;s complaint. In the process, Phillips marshaled evidence that the state was engaging in anti-religious hostility, leading Colorado officials to back down.
Scardina let the appeals deadline pass but craftily filed a civil lawsuit against Phillips. Alliance Defending Freedom, Phillips&#8217; public-interest law firm, filed a motion to dismiss what should have been deemed a frivolous case. But to leftist activist judges, frivolous often means meritorious. They view themselves as superlegislators not bound by the separation of powers doctrine or limited by their proper judicial function.
The court allowed the case to proceed and it went to trial on March 22, 2021. Just this week, the judge ruled that in refusing to make the cake celebrating a gender transition, Phillips violated the law. Denver District Judge A. Bruce Jones cavalierly refused to take Phillips at his word — that he declined because making the cake would have violated his religious beliefs. Jones said the case involved Phillips&#8217; refusal to sell a product, not compelling speech.
&#8220;The anti-discrimination laws are intended to ensure that members of our society who have historically been treated unfairly, who have been deprived of even the every-day right to access businesses to buy products, are no longer treated as others,&#8221; said Jones.
This is rank speciousness. Phillips didn&#8217;t refuse to sell any products to anyone. He refused to make a custom cake with a message violating his religious convictions.
Kristen Waggoner, general counsel for Alliance Defending Freedom, captured the essence of the Left’s witch hunt against Phillips. &#8220;Radical activists and government officials are targeting artists like Phillips because they won&#8217;t promote messages on marriage and sexuality that violate their core convictions,&#8221; said Waggoner.
That&#8217;s exactly right. Phillips will happily serve LGBTQ individuals. He doesn&#8217;t deny them access to his shop and doesn&#8217;t refuse to serve them. He just won&#8217;t bow to their demands to endorse messages, as part of his art, that contradict his values.
This case is not about discrimination. Phillips is the victim here, not those who have singled him out for punishment to make a societal statement. They can find plenty of bakers thrilled to make a cake to their specifications. But that&#8217;s not enough. Truth be told, Phillips&#8217; tormentors probably don&#8217;t even care about a cake at all. Their goal is to suppress opposing views. No, that&#8217;s too charitable. They want to force us what to think and to say.
They sought Phillips out like the predators they are and have been ceaselessly harassing and abusing him for years and manifestly won&#8217;t be denied, even when the Supreme Court smacks them down. This is not their crusade for tolerance. It is precisely the opposite. They refuse to live and let live; they require total submission, and they&#8217;re willing to bankrupt and destroy any who refuse to surrender and grovel.
This is not America — or, sadly, perhaps it is. This is what it&#8217;s come to. The woke bullies insist we all become cultural insomniacs — so woke that we&#8217;ll never sleep again. Well, Phillips refused to sleep all right, but just not in the way his ruthless enemies demanded.
Liberty lovers are indebted to Phillips for his refusal to back down, for his courage in standing up not just for himself, but for all of us who still care about America&#8217;s founding principles and particularly religious liberty and freedom of expression. While the Left’s scorched-earth march to uproot traditional cultural values and our constitutional liberties can be painfully discouraging to witness, heroes such as Phillips are an inspiration and are providing a template for our resistance against leftist totalitarians.

LIMBAUGH: Baker Jack Phillips – A Cultural Hero

No matter how mentally diminished President Joe Biden is, you have to be horrified by who waits in the wings should he leave office before the expiration of his term.
Unfortunately, one of the many consequences of Biden&#8217;s mental decline is an impairment of judgment that manifests itself in such reckless decisions as putting Vice President Kamala Harris in charge of the border. It is like making a colicky infant the goalie of a professional hockey team. If Biden were more alert, I would suspect it was his way of seeking revenge against Harris and those who foisted her on to his presidential ticket.
Harris has neither a clue nor a rudder on this critically important issue, which by any fair measure, now must be considered a crisis. She is a dedicated progressive, and progressives are flagrantly open borders-oriented. But even more, she is a political opportunist and will say anything to salvage her hemorrhaging reputation.
Thus, after all the root-causes rhetoric and the castigation of anyone who properly advocates even a modest level of border enforcement, she told migrants during a press conference Monday, &#8220;Don&#8217;t come here.&#8221; &#8220;As one of our priorities, we will discourage illegal migration,&#8221; she said. &#8220;And I believe if you come to our border, you will be turned back. Do not come. Do not come,&#8221; she continued. &#8220;The United States will continue to enforce our laws and secure our border.&#8221;
Perhaps we should be grateful for the whiplash if it means we&#8217;ll begin to see a saner border policy, but how can we possibly rely on the White House to enforce the border when it&#8217;s signaled in every imaginable way that it is ideologically opposed to protecting our sovereignty?
She might have thought she was buying herself time against growing public concern over the border, but by mouthing those words, she placed herself directly in the path of the leftist mobs who control her party&#8217;s power center. Following her comments, the reliably bizarre Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said it was &#8220;disappointing to see.&#8221; &#8220;First, seeking asylum at any US border is a 100% legal method of arrival,&#8221; she tweeted. &#8220;Second, the US spent decades contributing to regime change and destabilization in Latin America. We can&#8217;t help set someone&#8217;s house on fire and then blame them for fleeing.&#8221; Who needs foreign enemies when domestic malcontents are in the highest levels of office here doing their bidding?
As much grief as Harris unwittingly brought on herself with her comments, she wasn&#8217;t finished sabotaging herself. After the inevitable savaging that ensued, she feebly tried to talk her way out of her problems in an NBC News interview on Tuesday with Lester Holt, who asked her if she had plans to visit the border.
&#8220;We are going to the border; we&#8217;ve been to the border,&#8221; Harris dishonestly replied. Uncharacteristically, Holt momentarily deviated from the usual mainstream media Democrat-protector role and reminded her she hadn&#8217;t been to the border. Harris snarkily replied through cackling lips, &#8220;And I haven&#8217;t been to Europe.&#8221;
It was amusing to watch White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki scramble to rehabilitate Harris from her epic blunder. &#8220;What the vice president was simply conveying was that there&#8217;s more to be done, that we don&#8217;t have these systems in place yet. It&#8217;s still a dangerous journey as we&#8217;ve said many times from here and from many forums before. And we need more time to get the work done to ensure that asylum processing is where it should be.&#8221; Translation: &#8220;What Harris meant was that migrants should cooperate with the Biden administration long enough to allow us to manage this public relations disaster over our bungling of the border, and once enough time has passed, we&#8217;ll provide not only airplanes to transport illegals to sanctuary locations in the United States but free limo rides as well.&#8221;
Harris now views demands that she visit the border as &#8220;political games&#8221; because her real job is to address the root causes of migration. That&#8217;s rich coming from the second highest in command of a party that made a cottage industry of exploiting photo ops at the border during the Trump administration. As for root causes, she could save herself a lot of time by confessing that she and Biden invited this disaster by sending an unmistakable message that their administration would not enforce the southern border.
Poverty and tyranny and their consequences in Central America&#8217;s Northern Triangle are not the root causes of the current flooding of our borders, but they are among the root causes of why so many people there and elsewhere around the world would love to come to America. So maybe the best course for this leftist administration is to keep implementing policies that will lead America into socialism, bankruptcy, chaos, and tyranny, thereby discouraging migrants from choosing to come here. I say this tongue in cheek, but not entirely.
But Harris&#8217; focus on root causes is problematic beyond just being wrongheaded and counterproductive. It inspires her to advocate the ubiquitous Democrat solution for all problems: Throw money at it. In addition to other federal aid to these poor countries, she wants U.S. taxpayers to donate $130 million to labor movement efforts in Mexico. Even if this weren&#8217;t just a cynical sop to labor unions everywhere, the very idea that we can bring entire nations out of poverty by throwing fish at them instead of teaching them to fish is painfully delusional.
I agree with Harris about one thing. Her physically going to the border will solve nothing, especially since she is ideologically or ethically blinded to the real causes of this crisis. One can only hope that enough Americans are catching on to this miserable display of incompetence at every corner of the White House to make a difference in the midterm elections.

LIMBAUGH: Kamala Harris Just Keeps Getting Worse

This may shock and amaze you if your blinders are on, but President Biden is not only not a uniter; he is actively trying to divide Americans on race — and other issues — purely for raw political power. There is no other plausible explanation.
During former President Trump&#8217;s entire presidency and ever since, we&#8217;ve been bombarded daily with the narrative that he is divisive and a racist. His political opponents and the media distorted his words, such as those he said in the aftermath of the Charlottesville attacks, to paint him as sympathetic to white supremacists. That was always absurd, but it is now largely accepted as conventional wisdom.
Of course, the real ploy was to demonize and marginalize all Trump supporters, not just Trump. The implication was that anyone who would support such a bigot must be a bigot. Truth be told, this nicely fit the Left’s decadeslong smear of Republicans as racist as evidenced by their ideology.
Before you scoff at this as wanton hyperbole, consider that I&#8217;m not alone in my thoughts. A Rasmussen Reports poll released June 1 revealed that 39% of likely voters believe race relations have deteriorated since Biden&#8217;s election.
Consider also the Left’s almost-farcical crusade to tie conservative policies to racism. Examples abound: Conservatives favor border enforcement because of their racial animus against Mexicans entering the United States; conservatives are insensitive to examples of police misconduct against African Americans because they&#8217;re racist; they favor tax cuts to further enrich the wealthy and disadvantage minorities; they promote school choice initiatives to keep minorities down; and — everyone&#8217;s favorite — they support voter ID measures and other laws in the name of ensuring election integrity, but really to suppress the black vote.
If you think I&#8217;m exaggerating, note that CNN&#8217;s Chris Cuomo suggested there is a &#8220;through-line&#8221; from the Tulsa race massacre to Republicans&#8217; election bills. He added that the GOP is &#8220;intensifying its efforts to strip people of color of their rights to vote, the boldest attempt since the era of Jim Crow.&#8221; I wonder what American leftists would say about the fact that 46 of the 47 European democracies reportedly have election voter ID laws. Are they all racist, too?
There is, after all, a method to the Left’s maddening-ness. Since the Obama presidency, leftists have identified white supremacy as rampant and as a major threat to national security. They maintain that white supremacists are legion and are domestic terrorists. In his speech in Tulsa, ostensibly to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the race riots and atrocities against African Americans in that city, Biden underscored this point with the preposterous declaration that white supremacy is the most dangerous threat to America today. Are you kidding me, President Biden? Have you no shame?
That&#8217;s not all Biden said in Tulsa to stir the racial pot, making clear that his primary purpose was not to honor the lives and misfortunes of the black victims in Tulsa in 1921. He disgracefully politicized the entire event, using it not for racial reconciliation but racial agitation — and as a platform to vilify his political opponents.
Biden said: &#8220;(Y)oung black entrepreneurs are just as capable of succeeding, given the chance, as white entrepreneurs are, but they don&#8217;t have lawyers. &#8230; They don&#8217;t have accountants. &#8230; (Y)ou turn on the stations &#8230; And I don&#8217;t know many commercials you&#8217;ll see &#8230; two to three out of five have mixed-race couples in them. That&#8217;s not by accident. They&#8217;re selling soap, man.&#8221;
Trump haters can say what they want about Trump, but did he call his accusers racist — ever? It would have been more justified than their ubiquitous claim that we&#8217;re all racist for the simple reason that they turn everything into a race issue. They also reject colorblindness as a societal aspiration. They insist we look at and treat one another differently based on our race — not as unique individuals God created.
This insanity has got to stop. I know I write about this issue often, but as long as the Left keeps fraudulently smearing us as racists, we have got to fight back. These vile slanders must not go unanswered.
People have to call Biden out on his flagrant race-baiting. They must quit depicting Biden as a nice and innocent man when he is abusing his powerful position and his bully pulpit to pit us against each other and severely damage racial relations. Enough is enough.

LIMBAUGH: Biden’s Disgraceful Exploitation Of The Tulsa Race Massacre

It&#8217;s been a rough year, to say the least, with a global pandemic, the election of the most dangerous, leftist presidential administration ever, and a media and institutional elite in this country who are essentially Marxist functionaries.
Summer and beach reading might provide some needed relief. But before you pack your bags and head to the sun and the sand, here&#8217;s a recommendation for a fun book to take along.
It&#8217;s a western like no other (except maybe its prequel, &#8220;Armstrong,&#8221; which I read and much enjoyed a couple of years ago). Written by H.W. Crocker III, it&#8217;s called &#8220;Armstrong Rides Again!&#8221; and it imagines the continuing adventures of George Armstrong Custer after he survived the Battle of the Little Bighorn and became an incognito marshal and soldier of fortune.
In this tale, he meets up with a few real-life characters such as Black Bart and Ambrose Bierce and gets involved in an entirely make-believe Latin American civil war. The book is action-packed — a real page turner — and hilarious at the same time.
Not only does this book provide recreational distraction from deeply troubling headlines and the cares of the day but it has, beneath the surface, a surprisingly deep and affirming conservative message — one that doesn&#8217;t interfere with its entertainment value. If anything, it adds to it, because you know the author is on your side. (I know this for certain because, full disclosure, Harry Crocker is a friend of mine.)
&#8220;Armstrong&#8221; was great, but &#8220;Armstrong Rides Again!&#8221; is one of those cases where the sequel is even better. In &#8220;Armstrong,&#8221; the conservative themes were subtler; here, they are more direct, but in an amusing way, as in the comical monologues of the ruler of the imaginary Latin American country.
There&#8217;s a lot in this book about the nature of a just government, loyalty, religion, the fetishization of &#8220;science&#8221; (what could be more timely?), the hypocrisy and self-serving nature of the liberal establishment, the essential importance of history and patriotism — all as retold by our incomparably courageous narrator, George Armstrong Custer, who battles American Indians, revolutionaries and spies with equal aplomb while matching wits with his own on-again, off-again ally: the sardonic, skeptical martial Ambrose Bierce.
You&#8217;ll also meet a priest who designs submarines; a former Confederate officer-turned-federal agent; a multilingual, theologically minded American Indian scout; a suave, villainous turncoat whom the modern reader might liken to certain modern-day &#8220;principled conservatives&#8221;; and, of course, the Latin American ruler El Caudillo. Picture Donald Trump as the head of a Latin American monarchy and you might get some idea of what the character is like; he&#8217;s the man whose counterrevolutionary cause Custer joins.
The book, written as a letter to Custer&#8217;s wife, Libbie, is endlessly quotable, but perhaps these opening paragraphs will be enough to entice you: &#8220;I write this from a study with a window overlooking the ships in San Francisco Bay. Beside me, smoking a cigar and criticizing my every word, is Major Ambrose Bierce, the journalist. He would rather tell this tale himself — he is the professional writer after all — but as you know, dearest Libbie, I can turn a handsome phrase myself, and this is our tale, Bierce&#8217;s and mine, and would not have happened had we not crossed paths (and swords), and I can tell it plainly, unadorned by journalistic exaggeration.”
&#8220;My last letter chronicled how I liberated Bloody Gulch, Montana — and a fine, rousing story it was. But it left you hanging precipitously wondering what happened next. Now I can tell you.”
&#8220;I had to flee. The U.S. Cavalry was on its way — and much as I love the Cavalry, I had to preserve my anonymity. A sorrowing world believes I am dead, and I cannot disabuse it of that mournful conclusion until I can prove that my men and I were betrayed into catastrophe at the Little Bighorn.”
Who could stop reading after that! Do yourself a favor. Buy this book; let it entertain you while reminding you of the things that matter most in life; and pass it along to your older kids. They&#8217;ll get a kick out of it, too. As Andrew Breitbart famously said, &#8220;Politics is downstream from culture.&#8221; Isn&#8217;t it nice to have some popular culture of our own for a change? Thank you, Harry. Long may Armstrong ride!

LIMBAUGH: A Hearty Summer Reading Recommendation: ‘Armstrong Rides Again!’

Just when you think racial agitators can&#8217;t get more outrageous and ridiculous, they do. We see fruits of this evil obsession every single day.
Throughout the pandemic, the media preached that historical racism in the United States disproportionately impacted African Americans. Hollywood bombards us with race-shaming on show after show, using fictional characters to lecture us on the pervasiveness of white supremacy, stirring racial resentment and division in the name of healing.
Emory University tax law professor Dorothy A. Brown has just released her book, &#8220;The Whiteness of Wealth: How the Tax System Impoverishes Black Americans — and How We Can Fix It,&#8221; in which she alleges that the nation&#8217;s tax system, along with other American institutions, is rigged against African Americans. She advocates massive wealth redistribution as one solution. She is also encouraging President Biden&#8217;s administration to exploit racial arguments to change the tax code.
Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot announced that she will grant individual interviews only to journalists of color. She slammed the media for not sufficiently addressing &#8220;institutionalized racism&#8221; in their organizations, noting that her decision was part of her lifelong battle to fight for diversity and inclusion. She&#8217;s evidently oblivious to the self-contradiction of her position.
&#8220;I have been struck since my first day on the campaign trail back in 2018 by the overwhelming whiteness and maleness of Chicago media outlets, editorial boards, the political press corps, and yes, the City Hall press corps specifically,&#8221; said Lightfoot. One wonders how Lightfoot and other modern race baiters could stray further from Martin Luther King&#8217;s vision of a colorblind society.
Perhaps the most disturbing movement underway in the Left’s crusade to divide us along racial lines is the notorious 1619 Project hatched by activist Nikole Hannah-Jones and writers from The New York Times and The New York Times Magazine. With the stated goals of promoting justice and harmony, this initiative distorts history by demonizing America&#8217;s founding and founding documents. It claims that America&#8217;s real founding occurred in 1619 with the first documented arrival of enslaved Americans to the colony of Virginia, not in 1776, and that the American Revolution was fought to protect slavery. American Revolution historian Gordon Wood says he is unaware &#8220;of any colonist who said that they wanted independence in order to preserve their slaves.&#8221;
America&#8217;s most prestigious colleges and universities are indoctrinating their students with this poison, insisting that America is systemically racist and fundamentally white supremacist and requires sweeping structural reform. This toxic propaganda is also being pushed into parts of America&#8217;s middle school and high school curricula.
&#8220;The overriding lesson&#8221; of the project, says The Heritage Foundation&#8217;s Arthur Milikh, is that &#8220;young people must learn to despise their nation — its Constitution, ideals, economic system, and its Founders. They must resent and reject their past; possess an aggressive, contemptuous, and disobedient attitude toward the present; and strive forcefully to create a triumphant future where the enemies of old are punished, and the innocent finally rule.&#8221;
The 1619 Project is closely related to the academic movement known as critical race theory, which began among outlying academics in the 1970s but has now insinuated itself into the mainstream of academic and cultural thought. One of its central premises is that white supremacy is prevalent in America and maintains power through our systemically racist legal system.
The ever-growing acceptance of this insanity is evidenced by its presence in America&#8217;s military institutions and the seeming powerlessness of those courageously opposing it. Lt. Col. Matthew Lohmeier, commander of the 11th Space Warning Squadron at the Buckley Air Force Base in Colorado, was relieved from duty because of a &#8220;loss of trust and confidence in his ability to lead.&#8221; Actually, it was because he criticized critical race theory in a public podcast, saying it is very dangerous to our military.
Lohmeier pulled no punches in his comments or in his book, &#8220;Irresistible Revolution: Marxism&#8217;s Goal of Conquest &amp; the Unmaking of the American Military.&#8221; &#8220;Our diversity, inclusion and equity industry and the trainings we&#8217;re receiving in the military &#8230; are rooted in critical race theory, which is rooted in Marxism,&#8221; Lohmeier said.
This bold whistleblower, instead of being praised and rewarded for his candor, was punished and silenced. Lohmeier&#8217;s firing was ostensibly based on his injection of politics into his job, but he was merely speaking truth. Only in the Left’s world could criticism of the looming presence of Marxism in the institution dedicated to protecting and defending our national security be considered controversial or political. Punishing Lohmeier for his comments also gives aid and comfort to communist China and other American enemies, which consistently disparage the United States as a racist and civil rights-abusing nation.
Don&#8217;t be fooled by the Left’s excuses. Leftists will allow no opposition to their extremist positions. Their venomous narrative about our founding is distinctly anti-American and hostile to America&#8217;s interests and thus wholly inappropriate and dangerous for the military, which should be focused on defending us, not serving as a laboratory for the left&#8217;s pernicious social experiments.
Major kudos to Lt. Col. Lohmeier for speaking out even at the expense of his own interests. That is true patriotism and a model for the rest of us, who must stand up against this concerted effort to undermine America&#8217;s greatness, cohesiveness and racial relations.

LIMBAUGH: Leftist Racial Agitation Damages And Divides America

Riddle me this: Why would Republicans fall for the Democrats&#8217; age-old ploy of pressuring them into working on &#8220;bipartisan&#8221; legislation that will only advance the Democratic agenda and damage the nation?
Indeed, what&#8217;s the point in the GOP puffing up its chest about ousting Liz Cheney from her House leadership position if they&#8217;re just going to turn around and behave like never-Trumpers by caving on President Biden&#8217;s agenda? Why would they play footsy with the most militantly leftist party in American history? That can&#8217;t possibly be good for America, nor can it be good for their political fortunes, as voters don&#8217;t want them to be spineless wimps.
Republicans need to do more than just talk. They must summon all of their power to block Biden&#8217;s disastrous agenda — not for the sake of partisan obstructionism but for the sake of the nation.
People likely to vote for Republicans don&#8217;t elect their representatives to engage in self-congratulatory bipartisan soirees; they elect them to advance beneficial policies and thwart destructive ones. They mustn&#8217;t appease the cancel culture mobs. The Left will demonize Republicans no matter what they do and no matter whether they rally around former President Donald Trump, so how about they just do what is right and aggressively pursue their supporters&#8217; policy preferences?
Why am I bringing all this up? Well, because several recent news stories describe Biden&#8217;s meeting with congressional leaders over the so-called &#8220;infrastructure&#8221; bill. My alarms went off when I read that Biden was &#8220;encouraged&#8221; about the deal after meeting with Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, and House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy. Given Biden&#8217;s radical agenda, his encouragement means my discouragement — unless he is misreading or being deceptive about McConnell and McCarthy&#8217;s position.
Biden said: &#8220;But I want to make it clear to you: I&#8217;m encouraged not just because of one solid meeting with the Republican leader in the House and with Sen. McConnell. &#8230; I&#8217;ve been meeting with bipartisan leaders for a long time now. So, generically, I&#8217;m encouraged that there&#8217;s room to have a compromise on a bipartisan bill that&#8217;s solid and significant and a means by which to pay for it without dropping all of the burden on middle class and working-class people.&#8221; By that, Biden surely means he senses Republicans might be open to his intention to pay for the bill through a hike in the corporate tax rate.
Biden wants to repeal Trump&#8217;s corporate tax rate cut, which put America more in line with the rest of the advanced world and helped spur economic growth. But corporate tax increases pass through to individual taxpayers. It&#8217;s false that the wealthy pay less than the middle class. Biden&#8217;s schemes will further retard economic growth, which will disproportionately harm the middle class and the poor. So I&#8217;m not particularly thrilled with Republicans kowtowing to this demagoguery just to appear bipartisan.
Let&#8217;s review some other Biden statements that illustrate his professed commitment to bipartisanship is disingenuous. In an MSNBC interview, he said: &#8220;I want to get a bipartisan deal on as much as we can get a bipartisan deal on. &#8230; I&#8217;m not going to give up on a whole range of things that go to the question of productivity, of increasing jobs, increasing employment, increasing revenues. I&#8217;m not willing to give up on that. So we&#8217;re going to fight those out. &#8230; Let&#8217;s see if we can get an agreement to kick-start this and then fight over what&#8217;s left and see if I can get it done without Republicans if need be.&#8221;
Do you hear him? Don&#8217;t start demanding bipartisanship from Republicans when the Democratic president is openly admitting he only intends to be bipartisan on those matters on which Republicans will agree. He expects Republicans to cave on many items, and on all others, he&#8217;ll railroad them right through via the reconciliation process. He has shown no willingness to compromise his positions. What a great deal for Biden — &#8220;Heads I win. Tails you lose.&#8221;
Making matters worse, all of Biden&#8217;s proposed solutions are backasswards. You don&#8217;t increase productivity and jobs by injecting play money into the economy and continuing to pay unemployment benefits that disincentivize people from returning to work, a reality he cynically denies.
A watchdog press would be lambasting Biden for his partisanship, not cajoling Republicans to be bipartisan in the face of such an uncompromising president. But that&#8217;s a fantasy.
We are already witnessing the poisonous fruits of Biden&#8217;s programs: inflation; an overrun border that threatens America&#8217;s sovereignty and security; a constant stirring of racial resentment; foreign policy weakness and a betrayal of our ally Israel; gas hikes partially caused by a war on domestic energy; a war on cops; a war on free, fair, and honest elections; a perversion of our national security by preposterously identifying white supremacy as the greatest security threat; a weakened military obsessed with identity politics; a never-ending climate of fear over the pandemic that keeps schools and businesses shut down; rampant cancel culture; and our academic, cultural and digital institutions suppressing speech, demanding conformity, and smothering academic inquiry.
Note to Republicans: Don&#8217;t fall for this sham for the thousandth time. Democrats will promote their agenda zealously, without compromise, and with or without your support. Please surprise us and block them at every turn. You should not set your sights on crossing the aisle for a phony photo-op but on saving the country.

LIMBAUGH: GOP: Seek Not Phony Bipartisanship. Save The Nation

Everyone knows President Joe Biden ran as a moderate and is governing as a leftist radical, yet we see little evidence of Democrats, including the liberal media, breaking ranks from him. Why?
I&#8217;ve previously written about the lack of Democrats&#8217; dissent from their party&#8217;s undeniable extremism and have always been met with the response that they don&#8217;t dissent because there are no longer any moderate Democrats. Yet when I talk to my Democratic friends, they vehemently deny that they personally are extremists. Are they, or might they just as well be?
Rank-and-file Democrats can no longer blame their rank partisanship and extremism on Donald Trump, who is no longer president. It&#8217;s past time for them — and never-Trump Republicans, for that matter — to answer for Biden&#8217;s disastrous policies.
Let&#8217;s look at Biden&#8217;s border debacle as one of many flagrant examples of raging Democratic and media hypocrisy, for they&#8217;re giving Biden a complete pass and even defending him on the very policies for which they berated Trump.
Biden wholly owns this border train wreck, though he disingenuously continues to blame Trump. Trump&#8217;s border policies were working. We had seen major progress in sealing the border; fewer migrants were entering the United States, and cartels were being stymied. But Democrats, wedded to their open-borders agenda and their faux compassion for illegal immigrants, castigated Trump as a racist and particularly zeroed in on his allegedly inhumane treatment of children. Now the cartels are flourishing, and our borders are being overrun. And we know all the hyperventilating over the children had nothing to do with any genuine concern for them but with demonizing and defeating Trump — and cynically promoting Democrats&#8217; policies to flood the borders with future Democratic voters.
We know this because the Biden administration is doing nothing to address this growing and dangerously out-of-control border situation. This crisis is a direct result of Biden&#8217;s virtual invitation to migrants to come on up, his promises of amnesty and welfare for illegals, and his emasculation of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Purely for appearances&#8217; sake, as we now know, Biden put Vice President Kamala Harris in charge of this crisis, and she has done nothing except cackle when asked about her progress.
Biden says border crossings by migrant children are way down, but that is demonstrably false. The numbers are way up. Children are being held, and Democrats are supplying misleading photos to dupe the public. U.S. Rep. Henry Cuellar accused the Department of Homeland Security of trying to create the impression that the facility in Donna, Texas, was emptying out, when the youths held there were simply moved to a nearby location. &#8220;All they&#8217;re doing is, they&#8217;re moving kids from one tent to the other and saying, &#8216;Oh, they&#8217;re not in the Border Patrol (custody),&#8217; but they&#8217;re right next door,&#8221; said Cuellar. This is a major scandal.
A few Democratic politicians are calling Biden out, but most Democratic officeholders, Democratic voters, and liberal media outlets remain entirely silent or proactively deceitful about this travesty.
Democratic Sen. Kyrsten Sinema met with the Arizona National Guard and reported that the federal government is not doing enough to deal with the issue. She joined Sen. Mark Kelly in sending a letter to Biden to support Gov. Doug Ducey&#8217;s request that the government reimburse Arizona for its expenses in deploying the Guard. Ducey had said: &#8220;It&#8217;s become evidently clear that Arizona needs the National Guard, and the White House is aware of that. Yet, to this day, there has been no action from this administration, and it doesn&#8217;t look like they are going to act any time soon. If this administration isn&#8217;t going to do anything, then we will.&#8221;
Don&#8217;t overlook those charges: The White House is aware but has taken no action and is unlikely to take action.
Let&#8217;s review. Democrats and the media savaged President Trump for his inhumane treatment of children, using photos of kids in cages during the Obama administration, no less. The border situation under Biden is worse in every respect, from cartels to the inhumane treatment of migrant children to the border being overrun to illegal migrants being shipped all over the nation and in some cases becoming eligible for government handouts. But Biden denies the observable facts; his administration submits bogus photos to deceive the American people; he&#8217;s ignoring border-state governors&#8217; requests for assistance; he pretends to empower Harris to address the problem and she does nothing; and the crisis continues to explode. Yet (most) Democrats and the media cover and thus enable this nightmare.
No self-respecting nation can long survive without protecting its borders, and yet one of our two major political parties and its media cohorts are deliberately fanning this dangerous flame in their quest for one-party rule. It would be bad enough if Democrats and the media were pursuing these abominable policies for misguided ideological reasons, but it&#8217;s worse. This is about raw power and placing their party&#8217;s interests above the national interest: They advocate open borders to paint themselves as loving and tolerant and tar Republicans as racists, and then they encourage millions of illegals to flood the borders to get sanctuary and welfare and be fast-tracked for amnesty — all to magically create millions of new Democratic voters.
Time for self-styled moderate Democrats to draw the line and prove me wrong.

When I occasionally complain about the Left politicizing race, fellow conservatives often say to me, &#8220;Don&#8217;t worry about this. They&#8217;ve lost all credibility on the issue, trivializing it by overuse. They&#8217;re getting no traction with it.&#8221; Oh?
You&#8217;d have to be blind and deaf to deny that this tactic is working for the Left politically and that it has caused great harm. Democrats and the Left bring up race every five minutes to demonize Republicans and profit politically. It is nothing more than a raw power grab.
Indeed, if you want to talk about shameful behavior on race, look no further than the liberal politicians and the media who smear half the country as racists daily because of their views on economic, political, and cultural issues. If you champion American sovereignty, advocate border control, support the indispensability of law enforcement, promote our free market economy and cherish America&#8217;s founding principles — and if your skin happens to be white (unless you&#8217;re a progressive) — you are presumptively racist.
The baseless racism allegation is particularly despicable considering there are few more damning charges that can be leveled against a person and that the persistent hammering of this issue does incalculable damage to race relations and overall societal goodwill. And don&#8217;t think for a second it isn&#8217;t leading to violence. People are dying in the streets not just because of certain incidents of police brutality but because way too many people have been deceived into believing that nonminorities hate them based on their skin color.
Those who pooh-pooh the threat posed by the Left’s relentless exploitation of race don&#8217;t factor in several important things: When you repeat a lie often enough, it is eventually believed. When you control academia, the mainstream media, Hollywood, and the fascist digital oligarchy, you can exert mind control on not just young, impressionable people but adults who are bullied and shamed into silence and ultimately surrender. (There may be a growing outrage among the millions of victims of these libels, but as of yet, they are not fighting back with even a modicum of energy and coordination.)
Many of you probably didn&#8217;t realize that the seeds of the infernal ideas of critical race theory, white supremacy and systemic racism began as rogue ideas in university faculty lounges, academic literature and, ultimately, the classrooms of America&#8217;s indoctrination laboratories, otherwise known as our hallowed universities.
These cockeyed ideas on gender and race populated all kinds of university textbooks and classrooms, which were more committed to agitating students than providing them a classical education, but for several decades, they were relegated to the academic fringe. Now, as the Left has become more and more emboldened, this insanity has proliferated into the mainstream of our culture and politics.
Democratic politicians and their media cohorts routinely make flagrantly ludicrous comments about race that intellectually honest people should reject out of hand. Instead, these views are being treated seriously, and people who know better are legitimizing this poison. The mostly fabricated racism issue is dominating everything, to the point that we can&#8217;t even focus on real problems facing society — and minorities in particular.
One of the greatest ironies surrounding all of this malicious nonsense is that the bizarre notions of critical race theory, white supremacy, and systemic racism are themselves racist. They vilify people as a group based on their race, not their individual hearts, character or conduct. They judge people as intrinsically irredeemable solely by virtue of their skin color.
Racism is not systemic in America today. What is systemic is the Left’s dishonest stigmatizing of people as racists. There is a strong spiritual component at work here. God created each and every human being in His image. We are individuals, accountable to Him for our behavior; we are not to be judged based on what others do. This spurious, categorical condemnation of people robs them of their individuality and dehumanizes them. At the same time, the victimization of minorities for crass political gain diminishes their individuality and accountability. Everyone loses except the political shysters who benefit from this acrimony.
Sadly, this wicked duplicity will not stop until responsible people of good faith of all races and political parties stand up against the corrosive, engineered pandemic of racial disharmony and truly preach that we are all called to love one another irrespective of skin color. It certainly won&#8217;t stop through the proposed remedies of endless wealth redistribution, reparations, police reform, and the self-flagellation of people copping to a sin of which they don&#8217;t believe they&#8217;re guilty. The Civil War and civil rights movement apparently count for nothing. The Left has an insatiable lust for keeping this issue on the front burner at the highest heat, and things will not improve until the Left is no longer rewarded for fomenting racial disharmony.
What we need in this country is a religious revival — another Great Awakening — but until that time, people need to get on offense and fight back against this false and evil narrative.
