The New York Times seems to have drafted half its newsroom to investigate the alleged fraternity gang rape at Cornell. Since “Jane Doe” filed her lawsuit about the 2024 incident two weeks ago, the Times has run more than 50 news stories, seven videos, four podcasts, a major magazine piece and a few letters to the editor on the case. No word yet on a Broadway musical.

It’s been covered by ABC, NBC, CBS, all the cables and national newspapers, The Telegraph (UK), The Guardian (UK), The Jerusalem Post (you’d think they have more important things on their minds), Le Monde and Le Figaro, despite the French’s usual blasé attitude toward orgies.

I interpret this to mean that sexual assault on college campuses is BIG news.

So why do the media consistently bury stories about the rash of rapes committed by college football players? Didn’t they hear about the convictions of football stars like Jamarion Wilcox, Jayden Roberts, Jalen Kelley, Kendal Marks, Jamaal Evans, Ismael Vaifou and Kishawn Holmes?

Not just the media, but the universities cover for (certain) rapist athletes.

In the 2010s, Baylor University wanted to become a football powerhouse, so it began recruiting the thugs that other football programs avoided. Sure, some coeds will be brutally gang-raped, but we could win bowl after bowl!

Sexual assaults on campus exploded. (On the plus side, Baylor won a slew of bowls.)

A few years after this genius plan was implemented, an investigation by the law firm Pepper Hamilton found that at least 19 football players had been involved in dozens of rapes, including a minimum of four gang rapes. The university had to settle with 15 women. The head football coach, the athletic director, and the president of the university were fired or forced to resign. The following year, Baylor settled a lawsuit alleging 52 acts of rape by 31 football players between 2011 and 2014.

I’m not a national newspaper, but that sounds newsworthy to me.

The Times published about two dozen articles, total, on the scandal, nearly all of them in the Sports section, often merely reprinting AP reports. Without even looking, I’m sure Le Monde didn’t cover the Baylor gang rapes.

I can’t imagine why. Among the football players convicted of sexual assault (or who had their cases settled out of court) were: TreVon Armstead, Shamycheal “Myke” Chatman, Sam Ukwuachu and Tevin Elliott.

Media: Stop bothering us! We have a white fraternity to investigate.

Liberals are so desperate for white gang rapists, they have to make them up. We’ve gotten flood-the-zone coverage of alleged rapes by white lacrosse players (Duke), white frat boys (UVA), white military contractors (Jamie Leigh Jones), and white prosecutors and police (Tawana Brawley)

Every one of them fake.

The reason we’re getting so much venom toward fraternities in the Cornell case is that the accused assailants, sadly, are not white. To the contrary, they’re strikingly diverse. Five of the seven Chi Phi defendants admit to engaging in sex acts with Doe: one Muslim, one African-American, one Asian and two Latinos. It’s a beautiful mosaic!

But obsessing over fraternities makes them sound white. Joining a frat is practically the dictionary definition of “acting white,” right up there with “punctuality” and “collecting decorative spoons.”

The diversity of the fraternity members who had sexual contact with the plaintiff reminds me: Every student involved in Doe’s night of polymorphous sex was admitted to Cornell under the “SAT-optional” policy adopted during 2020’s BLM madness. To make up for a Black meth addict dying of a heart attack while resisting arrest in Minneapolis, we’ll admit unqualified minorities to our Ivy League university!

The two members who vehemently deny any sexual contact with Doe are the only white guys: Scott Norris and Scott Kretzschmar. Both told the police that, alarmed by one of the brothers’ coarse Snapchat messages about “free p***y,” they went to investigate, but found Doe “conversational,” so they figured everything was cool and left after five minutes.

At the time, Doe confirmed that they never laid a finger on her—and I “believe all women”! But now, two years later, she accuses Norris and Kretzschmar of doing Ketamine off her body. (Kretzschmar’s hair follicle test in 2024 proved he had no Ketamine in his system.)

Notably, the other five were expelled, suspended, or barred from campus. Norris and Kretzschmar were allowed to continue their studies, but were required to read about sexual harassment and “bystander intervention.”

Obviously, the problem is not fraternities — and I really wish the august Times would stop citing preposterous feminist statistics about fraternity members being “three times as likely to commit sexual assault as other male students.”

That’s from an op-ed by four recent graduates of American University. (Isn’t that a little beneath you, New York Times?) The study is nonsense. It puts “unwanted touching” on a par with “rape” and includes the absurd claim that one out of four coeds will be sexually assaulted in college. Also, it was written by people who would never be invited to join a decent fraternity or sorority, so they lash out at WASP culture (while running interference for diverse thugs).

Piling on the idiocy, this week, Cornell suspended all fraternity activity on campus. That was the brilliant response of UVA to Rolling Stone’s obviously fictional story about a gang rape there. Smart move to follow in UVA’s footsteps, Cornell. (Were you guys hired on a test-optional basis, too?)

If universities really cared about sexual assaults on campus, rather than spewing hate at traditional American institutions, they should be getting rid of DEI, not fraternities.
