This is a brand-new race.
I&#8217;ve been saying this since Joe Biden quit the presidential race and Kamala Harris became the Democratic nominee by widespread acclamation and/or a conspiracy among the Democratic Party elites to shove her in there because they pretty much had no other choice.
The bottom line is this: The race has now reverted back to where it basically was before the debate.
Before the debate, Donald Trump had a solid but slim lead over Joe Biden nationally and in a wide variety of states. Now it seems as though the race is reverting back to those fundamentals.
We already had the outstanding circumstance of Biden enduring a mental collapse in front of the entire American public and making clear to everyone he was effectively senile. But that is in the rearview mirror.
And now, we have Kamala Harris.
Looking at the <a href="https://www.realclearpolling.com/polls/president/general/2024/trump-vs-harris" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Real Clear Politics</a> polling average, Trump is currently leading Harris by roughly 1.9 percentage points in the popular vote. That includes a new poll from <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2024/07/25/us/elections/times-siena-poll-likely-electorate-crosstabs.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">New York Times/Siena</a>, which shows a one-point race in favor of Trump.
A margin of error of effectively one or two points should be considered. <a href="https://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/biden_administration/election_2024_trump_50_harris_43" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Rasmussen</a>, which is usually fairly pro-Trump, has Trump up seven points. <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2024/07/24/politics/cnn-poll-kamala-harris-donald-trump/index.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">CNN</a> has him up three against Harris, 49-46. <a href="https://pro.morningconsult.com/trackers/2024-presidential-election-polling" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Morning Consult</a> has Harris up one, and <a href="https://www.reuters.com/world/us/harris-leads-trump-44-42-us-presidential-race-reutersipsos-poll-finds-2024-07-23/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Reuters/Ipsos</a> has her up two. The majority of polls show Trump leading, but not by a huge margin.
In the battleground states, the latest polling data shows Trump still holding a relatively durable lead.
A new set of <a href="https://emersoncollegepolling.com/july-2024-swing-state-polls-harris-trails-trump-in-arizona-georgia-michigan-pennsylvania-tied-in-wisconsin/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Emerson polls</a> shows that Harris trails Trump in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, and Pennsylvania; they are tied in Wisconsin. For Trump, those margins are way down from where they were roughly one week ago against Biden.
Right now, Trump is up five points in Arizona, only two points in Georgia, one point in Michigan, and two points in Pennsylvania. He and Harris are tied in Wisconsin.
In other words, the election is too close for comfort. This is an exceptionally close election.

The Democrats are coming home, though not in the kind of numbers they would for Barack Obama. They are closer to the numbers that Biden would have had if he had not been completely mentally gone.
Kamala Harris&#8217;s campaign has now launched into full swing, and that means she has to do two things. One, avoid her record. And two, massage the media and the media have to massage her right back. The love affair between the Democratic Party and the media has returned in full bloom.
For a short moment in time, there was a little bit of tension — but now that tension has been resolved in a sweet embrace. This is what we are seeing from the media. 
Thus, it is the job of the media to ensure the people do not honestly see her. That is the most important thing the media can do for her right now.
So what&#8217;s happening in the land of media?
First of all, TikTok is very much having an impact on the future of this election cycle.
A <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/technology/2024/07/25/kamala-harris-election-tiktok-fancam/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Washington Post article</a> titled, “Inside the online army supercharging Kamala Harris&#8217; campaign,” explains: “A grassroots network of TikTok creators, energized by the new likely Democratic nominee, are using their skill at playful video collages to build Harris a viral political powerhouse from scratch.”
TikTok’s algorithm is programmed by the Chinese Communist Party. You can put as much pro-Trump content as you want on TikTok, but if the CCP decides they don&#8217;t want it disseminated, it won&#8217;t be disseminated.
Harris was widely referred to as Biden’s “border czar” in the media. But the minute she became the nominee, she was suddenly no longer the “border czar.” That title was wiped away, lost in the sands of time.
This is the game the media are playing. They&#8217;re unbelievable, perennial liars.
Yesterday, after the House of Representatives passed <a href="https://files.constantcontact.com/81b76c35801/4c1607a0-764e-4ab3-a3da-4a7d9af52332.pdf?rdr=true_gl=1*11iujv3*_ga*ZTRiZjhhNTEtOGJlYy00ODQzLWFjZmMtMDYwMzQ4NGRkYmMw*_ga_14T5LGLSQ3*MTcyMTc0NDU4MC41NC4xLjE3MjE3NDU5OTcuMTAuMC4w" target="_blank" rel="noopener">a resolution</a> which “strongly condemns” Harris for failing to secure the border, House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Mark Green (R-TN) released <a href="https://homeland.house.gov/2024/07/25/chairman-green-on-passage-of-h-res-1371-vice-president-harris-not-just-a-failed-border-czar-she-is-an-extremist-on-border-security/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">a statement</a>, writing:
<blockquote>Vice President Kamala Harris is not just a failed border czar—she is an extremist on border security and immigration enforcement, as her record as a senator, presidential candidate, and vice president makes abundantly clear. In March 2021, President Biden told the country that Vice President Harris was ‘the most qualified person to … lead our efforts’ in stemming the flood of illegal aliens across our Southwest border. No rational person could look at the years since, and conclude anything except that she was utterly unqualified, and has completely failed.</blockquote>
That, of course, is supremely true.
But don&#8217;t worry, according to the media, she was never the border czar.

On Wednesday night, President Biden came forth to show proof of life.
He didn&#8217;t.
Biden’s speech was supposed to be his valedictory address, his explanation for why he was leaving the race. It was supposed to be similar to Ronald Reagan’s farewell address in which he talked about a shining city on a hill.
The only problem is that Biden is no longer capable of speaking, and he wasn&#8217;t willing to admit that he&#8217;s no longer capable of speaking or thinking because he wants to remain president through January.
That made this very awkward. Just to recap: It has not even been a month since the June 27 debate that basically ended Biden’s presidential campaign. That debate showed that Biden was non compos mentis, and he was not mentally capable of carrying forward the race. He didn’t quit until his poll numbers dropped. Next was the assassination attempt on Donald Trump. Biden&#8217;s polls continued to drop. Then, there was the Republican National Convention, where Republicans came together in historic ways around President Trump.
Biden&#8217;s polls dropped even further, and Democrat after Democrat began to sound off that Biden should drop out. Then the donors, Barack Obama, and Nancy Pelosi simply pushed the old man off the cliff. On July 21, he announced via X that he would not be running.
And then the media worship began: Biden was a patriot. He went from this terrible, narcissistic old man who wouldn&#8217;t leave to “Whoa. He&#8217;s amazing!”
Within two days, Kamala Harris secured the nomination with the intervention of the Democratic gods, Obama and Pelosi. On Sunday, Biden said he would give an address on Wednesday night explaining why exactly he dropped out.
So, on Wednesday night, he gave that address, and he answered precisely zero questions. The only question that was answered by the address was whether he is alive. And the answer was: just barely.

Leading up to the speech, the big question was if Biden would explain why he was dropping out. Was he doing so for health reasons? It was perfectly evident the president is failing. He could not make it through with a teleprompter in front of him. He stumbled over his words.
It was obvious to everyone who was watching that the reason Biden dropped out of the race is that he is in the throes of some form of senility.
But he couldn&#8217;t say that because that would betray the reality, which is that he and the media have been lying about it for years. Kamala Harris, his vice president, has been lying about it for years.
He dropped out because he was losing.
But the message he put forth is that this election was too important for him to be in it.
Why did he keep saying that this is all about preservation of democracy?
The fact of the matter is that if Joe Biden wanted the American public to give a referendum on him and his presidency, he could have just stayed in the race. But he did not. He <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/speeches-remarks/2024/07/24/remarks-by-president-biden-in-statement-to-the-american-people/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a>, “The defense of democracy, which is at stake, I think it’s more important than any title.”
Yet his defense of democracy amounted to a stated desire to rewrite the rules of the Supreme Court, to make clear that the current status of our institutions is no good.
“I believe America is at an inflection point, one of those rare moments in history when the decisions we make now will determine our fate of our nation and the world for decades to come. America is going to have to choose between moving forward or backward, between hope and hate, between unity and division,” he said.
Between unity and division? And if Kamala Harris were rejected, it would be a rejection of honesty, decency, respect, freedom, justice and democracy?
Those are the words that he used. “Honesty”: Kamala Harris is not an honest person. “Decency”: She&#8217;s certainly not a decent person. “Respect”: Respect for what? “Freedom”: She is not in favor of freedom from government. “Justice”: By “justice,” Harris means tribal, social justice. “Democracy”: She&#8217;s certainly not in favor of the idea that, in the United States, the people rule, as opposed to government bureaucrats and agencies.
If you were an alien, you traveled down to earth, and this is the first speech you saw from President Biden, you would have no idea what in the hell he was talking about. He just kept coming back to the platitude over and over that effectively speaking, democracy is at stake.
He did nothing to actually explain why that was the case or why that necessitated him dropping out. The only reference he made to why he dropped out was to say that it was clear to him he needed to unite his party in this critical endeavor.
So he blamed other people in his party. He basically said in his speech that he was stabbed in the back by his own party and the only way to get his party together in order to run against Trump was for him to step out of the picture. He actually said that his record as president and leadership in the world merited a second term, stating, “I believe my record as president, my leadership in the world, my vision for America’s future all merited a second term, but nothing — nothing — can come in the way of saving our democracy. That includes personal ambition. So, I’ve decided the best way forward is to pass the torch to a new generation. That’s the best way to unite our nation.”
He said it was time for new voices, fresher, younger voices, that the time and place is now.
Why wasn’t it that time and place three years ago? Hell, why wasn’t it that time and place four years ago when he was running for president and it was clear that he was in a declining state. Why?
Here is my question: After watching Joe Biden speak, do you think that man has the capacity to be the president of the United States right now, today?
If you do, how? He could not get through a sentence from a televised speech that was supposed to be the apex of his career.
Meanwhile, Harris, Jill, or whoever is allowing him to continue to run the show — because that man is not in charge.
In the end, he said over and over that this is a republic and it would turn into some sort of dictatorship if Donald Trump is elected. He finished by saying, “Remember who we are. We are the United States of America, and there is simply nothing — nothing beyond our capacity when we do it together. So, let’s act together, preserve our democracy.” 
That’s the biggest lie of all, that if you vote for Harris, democracy is somehow being preserved, but if you vote for her opponent, democracy will be overthrown.
It&#8217;s precisely that lie that leads people to think it is a good idea to take a shot at your rival.
You want to know why there was an assassination attempt against President Trump? When you create a climate in which you say the election of your rival will lead legitimately in real time to the end of the republic, what do you think is going to happen?
The only thing we learned from this speech is that Biden is not technically dead.

The media is now covering Kamala Harris 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and they are covering her with all the syrup they can find.
Democrats are shoving the entire Biden presidency into the closet while pretending that Harris sprang from the earth fully formed — and pretending that she was the popular pick.
The media is generating fake enthusiasm for Harris in outsized amounts. Chuck Schumer tried to generate enthusiasm for her on Tuesday. It was pathetic. He was in front of the press and <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2024/07/23/us/politics/schumer-jeffries-endorse-harris.html#:~:text=Schumer%2C%20the%20majority%20leader%2C%20said,in%20the%20days%20after%20Ms." target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a>, “So now that the process has played out, from the grass roots, bottom up, we are here today to throw our support behind Vice President Kamala Harris.” Then he waited for applause. 
None came. “I&#8217;m clapping. You don&#8217;t have to,” Schumer managed.
He was asked, “What&#8217;s your case to the American people and to the Democratic voters who voted for Joe Biden that this isn&#8217;t a coronation?” 
“The bottom line [is] it was a bottom-up process,” Schumer maintained. “People just rallied right to her side. The enthusiasm in this big, diverse, representative party was amazing. It was palpable. You could cut it with a knife,” he <a href="https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/4788252-schumer-jeffries-harris-democratic-nominee-president/#:~:text=%E2%80%9CThe%20bottom%20line%20%5Bis%5D,It%20was%20palpable." target="_blank" rel="noopener">insisted</a>.
This was a lie. In what way was this grass roots? They had primaries. Primaries are the grassroots process. 
You may not like that Biden won the primaries. You may think the Democratic Party should unlock the primaries so more candidates could have run against Biden.  
But to pretend that this is grass roots is insane. Nancy Pelosi was in the back room jabbing a stiletto into Biden&#8217;s neck over and over. Barack Obama was standing behind Biden with a garret. This insane, bizarre notion that this was a grassroots operation to get rid of Biden is totally crazy.  
The grass roots may go along with it. The grass roots may be very happy about it. But to pretend that this was not the Democratic Party elites offing Biden is a total lie.

Two things actually happened. One: There was wild Democratic base enthusiasm for getting rid of Biden. People did want Biden out. Two: There was no grassroots enthusiasm for Harris, who is incredibly charmless.
We are being gaslit about the process by which Biden was ousted. Harris was appointed by the Democratic Party elites to replace Biden because they wanted to keep his $100 million war chest intact. They went to the donors. Inside the first three days of the campaign, they got the donors to drop a money bomb on her so they could pretend they had $200 million of grassroots support or some such nonsense. 
This is all created. It is all fake. It is all ersatz. 
With that said, does the race change? 
Yes.
If Republicans get stuck in the mode of talking about Biden from here to the election, Democrats are going to win because the case is very simple. It always was because — Whoever this election is a referendum on is going to lose.
It was Joe Biden for nearly the entirety of the race. It was Biden because he&#8217;s the current president of the United States.
And Democrats then pulled a fast one. They got rid of him in favor of Harris. 
Now, I know a lot of Republicans are sitting around thinking, “Yes, but she&#8217;s wildly unpopular. People hate her. No one knows who she is. If you ask the everyday American the name of the vice president, many do not know anything about her.” 
Almost nobody knows her record because vice presidents generally get picked from quasi obscurity. Vice presidents are mostly only famous for being a vice president, not for what they did before they were the vice president. 
That’s certainly true for Kamala Harris, who was in the United States Senate for all of 27 seconds, and then ran a terribly unsuccessful presidential campaign.
All of this means Republicans are going to have to introduce this fresh character to the American people. That is their job. This is a fresh race: There can be no errors by the Republican team. None. 
It means whatever get-out-the-vote effort they have needs to be top-notch. This is not the time for testing new theories about getting out the vote. This is the time for winning.
This is not the time for testing new theories about how to go after Harris. This is the time to go after Harris on her record. 
The Trump campaign is basically acknowledging that at this point. Tony Fabrizio, who&#8217;s a member of Team Trump, put out a memo pointing out that there will almost certainly be a Harris polling bump from here all the way through the Democratic National Convention.

<blockquote>Many of you have heard me refer to the upcoming “Harris Honeymoon” that I expect to see in the public polling over the next couple of weeks. As I’ve explained, the honeymoon will be a manifestation of the wall-to-wall coverage Harris receives from the MSM. The coverage will be largely positive and will certainly energize Democrats and some other parts of their coalition at least in the short term. …
 As importantly, voters will also learn about Harris’ dangerously liberal record before becoming Biden’s partner in creating historic inflation (she cast the deciding vote on the IRA), flood of illegal immigrants at our southern border (she is Biden’s Border Czar), and migrant crime that is threatening our families and communities (she set illegals free who went on to commit violent crime as DA).  
So, while the public polls may change in the short run and she may consolidate a bit more of the Democrat base, Harris can’t change who she is or what she’[s] done.  </blockquote>
But there’s the key. When Fabrizio wrote, “The coverage will be largely positive and will certainly energize Democrats in some other parts of their coalition at least in the short term,” is it in the short term or not? 
I have a feeling that it is in the short term because once people take a look at Harris, they will realize she&#8217;s an extraordinarily charmless and annoying candidate. She’s cloying, she&#8217;s terrible, and it turns out that people who look fairly good on paper very often implode on the national stage. 
That was certainly for Harris the first time around when she ran for president in 2019-2020. Is the enthusiasm likely to fall away? 
This goes to the Harris campaign. Can Kamala Harris stay out of the public eye? She actually needs to run the basement strategy. She needs to do rallies where she&#8217;ll be very comfortable and avoid anything remotely like a tough interview. The media will help her out, as they have swiveled into her camp. They will presumably ask her only questions about her favorite dance music and why she is such a nice woman. 
The problem is that this is a short-term election now. It is currently the end of July. We have August, September, October, and that&#8217;s it.
Either Donald Trump has to play a flawless game or you have to wait for Kamala Harris to make a mistake. Either of those things could happen. I think it&#8217;s pretty likely that Harris will make several big mistakes because it is very rare for a candidate to run a flawless campaign.
Democrats are waiting for Trump to make some sort of comment about her being female or black that they can turn into an issue of sexism or racism. Trump is going to have to stay away from the kind of storyline that he typically likes to talk about, such as the fact that she got her start in politics by having sex with Willie Brown, which is true.
Can Trump and the Republicans stay disciplined? 
If they do, they’ll win.

The coronation is complete: Kamala Harris will be the Democratic presidential nominee.
Harris ran one of the worst presidential races in history back in 2019 and 2020. In fact, she dropped out before she even received a single vote in the primaries. Then, she became vice president because Joe Biden needed a black woman on the ticket. And she was terrible and her approval rating was in the low thirties.
Now, because Democrats have no other place to turn, she&#8217;s consolidated her support to officially become the Democratic nominee for president of the United States.
Biden has been forced out. It’s probably smart of Biden to drop at this point, given the fact that he was almost certainly going to lose to Donald Trump in November. Now, he can at least wash his hands of the election; he&#8217;s not going to be blamed for the loss. There might be some retrospective blame cast upon him if Harris ends up losing for two reasons: He picked her as vice president, and he did not get out of the way earlier to allow for a serious democratic process.
Given the fact there is no democratic process and that Democrats at the party elite level have decided to simply force Harris into place, Biden is now out of the way. He is no longer the story — other than that he’s no longer the nominee and he&#8217;s still president of the United States.
Within 48 hours of Biden dropping out of the race, Harris became the nominee, which suggests this was all preplanned and the reported heartburn and angst we’ve been hearing from the Democratic Party was overwrought, considering that not only did they have the support lined up for Harris, but they were also ready to go with these giant money bombs almost immediately. According to <a href="https://www.politico.com/newsletters/playbook-pm/2024/07/22/scoop-harris-big-donor-money-bomb-00132333" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Politico Playbook</a>, a Democratic super PAC “received $150 million in new commitments from major Democratic donors in the 24 hours since the president announced he would step aside from the race.”

Hundreds of millions of dollars came into play almost immediately, which suggests that this was all preplanned. This thing clicked into place far too fast for it to have been spontaneous in any way, shape, or form.
According to <a href="https://www.politico.com/news/2024/07/22/kamala-harris-zoom-fundraiser-00170452" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Politico</a>:
<blockquote>Within hours of President Joe Biden’s bombshell news Sunday that he would not run for reelection, tens of thousands of Black women across the country — including many in New York — launched an ambitious organizing effort for Vice President Kamala Harris.
Tens of thousands of participants joined the call, raising $1.5 million, according to a social media post and a participant granted anonymity to share details about what was meant to be an off-record gathering. And they provided strategy memos and talking points as they coalesce behind a candidate who would be the nation’s first female president.
“We need to defend our sister everywhere,” read the meeting notes obtained by POLITICO. “It is a ‘thing’ to have MAGA world chasing you.”
Organizers behind the memo urged anyone reading it to “pick at least one section or a part of a section of Project 2025 to read and become a subject matter expert in order to be armed w/ info &amp; to support the effort that way.” Project 2025 is an expansive policy document written with input from former advisers of Donald Trump — the Republican candidate and his team have sought to distance themselves from it while Democrats dial up their warnings about what’s in it.</blockquote>
The idea that the Democrats are going to be able to run on Project 2025 is absolutely ridiculous.
I&#8217;m always amazed by the level of tribal racialism that one is able to express so long as it is intersectional in nature. If this were Win with White Men, that would obviously not be acceptable in America&#8217;s body politic. But, apparently, a group called Win with Black Women is totally fine.
As it turns out, Letitia James, the corrupt attorney general of New York, has been working to gather the support of black attorneys general for Harris. Again, just tribal racialism. She announced Sunday that she and the five other black state attorneys general in the United States from Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, and Nevada will be part of a coalition working to back up Kamala Harris.
This is the kind of campaign Harris is going to run. She is going to run an extremely intersectional campaign, a black female campaign. She&#8217;s going to run the Barack Obama 2012 playbook.
The problem is Barack Obama&#8217;s 2012 playbook came on the back of Obama winning a huge election victory in 2008. You can run the intersectional playbook, but only if you win your first election by a huge margin. Democrats did not win the 2020 election by a huge margin. They actually won by an incredibly slim victory in a historically skewed election based on extraordinarily high levels of voter turnout, which was based on a change in the rules during COVID.
So, they&#8217;re going to run a campaign from 2012. It is amazing to me that, instead of looking at the 2008 Barack Obama campaign, which was a huge victory, Democrats look at 2012 as the model for what they should do going forward, despite the fact Obama lost three million absolute votes between 2008 and 2012.
Harris is not only a weak candidate, but her chief vulnerability is that she&#8217;s the vice president of a wildly unpopular administration. This administration does not have a list of accomplishments Americans like.
It is additionally amazing to watch all these people coming out of the woodwork to declare Biden has been an amazing president. The truth is that he is a crappy president and Harris is his crappy vice president, which means she is a weak candidate.
On Monday night, Harris <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/politics/kamala-harris-praises-bidens-legacy-first-remarks-since-announcing-2024-bid" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a>, “Joe Biden&#8217;s legacy of accomplishment over the past three years is unmatched in modern history. … In one term, he has already surpassed the legacy of most presidents who have served two terms in office.”
Biden’s accomplishments are burning the Middle East to a crisp, lighting Ukraine on fire, destroying the economy via inflation, and destroying any possibility of building the social fabric because of his radical social policy.
What is Harris’ campaign against Donald Trump going to be? She says that she&#8217;s going to prosecute Trump.
This is all she’s got? Democrats have been trying this crap since 2015. Since 2015, the idea has been “Donald Trump is an out-of-the-box criminal and we are going to prosecute the case against Donald Trump.”

It is official: Joe Biden is out of the race. He has declared he will not be running for president of the United States anymore.
This is historic, shocking news, and truly unprecedented in American history. Biden <a href="https://x.com/JoeBiden/status/1815080881981190320" target="_blank" rel="noopener">announced</a> it via X/Twitter instead of announcing he would have a press conference or issuing a statement from the Oval Office.
Biden wrote:
<blockquote>My Fellow Americans, Over the past three and a half years, we have made great progress as a Nation. Today, America has the strongest economy in the world. We&#8217;ve made historic investments in rebuilding our Nation, in lowering prescription drug costs for seniors, and in expanding affordable health care to a record number of Americans. We&#8217;ve provided critically needed care to a million veterans exposed to toxic substances. Passed the first gun safety law in 30 years. Appointed the first African American woman to the Supreme Court. And passed the most significant climate legislation in the history of the world. America has never been better positioned to lead than we are today.</blockquote>
If that were true he would not be dropping out of the race. He wouldn&#8217;t have a 32% approval rating.
He continued: 
<blockquote>I know none of this could have been done without you, the American people. Together, we overcame a once in a century pandemic and the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression. We&#8217;ve protected and preserved our Democracy. And we&#8217;ve revitalized and strengthened our alliances around the world. </blockquote>

There are many things about this message that are shocking. Number one, he says that he is stepping away from his candidacy, but not from the presidency.
Why? That&#8217;s the obvious question.
If you are in a state of senility, you need to step away from the presidency because we are about to launch into one of the most dangerous periods in American history. The rest of the world knows that Joe Biden is a lame-duck president. They know he&#8217;s totally senile and not in control of his faculties at this point.
The announcement means a couple of big things. It means that Kamala Harris is likely to be the Democratic presidential nominee for president.

In this announcement Biden never makes mention of why he&#8217;s dropping out. All he says is that it&#8217;s in the best interests of his party and the country for him to stand down and focus on fulfilling his duties as president.
The minute the tweet was published people noticed he had not endorsed Kamala Harris for the presidency. 27 minutes later, he <a href="https://x.com/JoeBiden/status/1815087772216303933" target="_blank" rel="noopener">tweeted</a> that he, in fact, would endorse her for the presidency, writing:

My very first decision as the party nominee in 2020 was to pick Kamala Harris as my Vice President. And it’s been the best decision I’ve made. Today I want to offer my full support and endorsement for Kamala to be the nominee of our party this year. Democrats — it’s time to come together and beat Trump. Let’s do this. </blockquote>
This is humiliating for him because he has to admit that Kamala Harris, who is wildly unpopular and terrible at her job, actually has a better shot at beating Trump than he does. It also must be humiliating because we know that Jill Biden does not like Kamala Harris at all. 
Harris put out a <a href="https://x.com/KamalaHarris/status/1815122383415529963" target="_blank" rel="noopener">statement</a> reading:
<blockquote>On behalf of the American people, I thank Joe Biden for his extraordinary leadership as President of the United States and for his decades of service to our country. His remarkable legacy of accomplishment is unmatched in modern American history, surpassing the legacy of many Presidents who have served two terms in office.</blockquote>
Here&#8217;s the trade coming from the Democrats: We&#8217;ll have a DNC where we pay homage to the wonders of Joe Biden — and then it won’t be Joe Biden&#8217;s fault. If the Democratic Party goes down in flames, it&#8217;s the fault of whomever gets appointed next to run against Donald Trump. That is the bargain. Presumably there&#8217;ll be a very, very well-apportioned presidential library in Rehoboth Beach or something of that sort for Biden.
Harris continued:
<blockquote>It is a profound honor to serve as his Vice President, and I am deeply grateful to the President, Dr. Biden, and the entire Biden family. I first came to know President Biden through his son Beau. We were friends from our days working together as Attorneys General of our home states. With this selfless and patriotic act, President Biden is doing what he has done throughout his life of service: putting the American people and our country above everything else.</blockquote>
Let&#8217;s be real about this: None of it is true. Joe Biden is a self-interested politician. He has been since he was 29-years-old when he won his first Senate race and immediately started using his senatorial power in Delaware to direct corrupt activities to the benefit of his family.
The idea that Biden is honest and filled with integrity is going to be a serious question for Kamala Harris. Kamala knew he was senile for literally two years and just weeks ago was talking about how the man was reciting Virgil in Latin backwards and upside-down behind closed doors. Thus she was complicit in lying to the American people.
Harris could use the 25th Amendment and oust Biden today; she could lead the way to get the cabinet to get rid of Joe Biden as president because he is senile.
She is not doing this, which means it is all political for these people. They can&#8217;t say that Biden should drop from the race because he is senile because then he should be removed from the presidency. Instead they&#8217;re going to say that he&#8217;s undergoing a massive sacrifice by stepping out of the race.
Here’s the quiet part out loud: The real reason he&#8217;s dropping out is because he&#8217;s losing to Donald Trump. Donald Trump clocked him so hard in the debate and Biden fell down on the job so poorly in the debate that the combination ended his presidential candidacy. He&#8217;s not dropping out because he won&#8217;t be able to last through a second term; he believes he absolutely would be able to last through it. 
He&#8217;s dropping out because he is losing, and losing really, really badly.
The real question should be: Why is he incapable of defending his record? If the problem is not the senility, why isn&#8217;t he capable of defending his record? The answer is that the reason Biden is dropping out is not the senility.
It is the fact that Joe Biden is getting whomped in the polls right now by Donald Trump.
As Biden was issuing his statement, polling <a href="https://www.mediaite.com/news/new-polling-trump-wins-virginia-rust-belt-in-rcp-projected-electoral-college-blowout/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">showed</a> Trump winning Virginia and the Rust Belt. The <a href="https://www.realclearpolling.com/polls/president/general/2024/virginia/trump-vs-biden" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Real Clear Politics</a> projected Electoral College showing had him winning 325 Electoral College votes against Joe Biden&#8217;s 213.
That is a blowout.
There was a poll that came out deep in the hours before Joe Biden decided to step out showing that Biden was getting clobbered in Michigan. According to <a href="https://www.politico.com/news/2024/07/21/biden-trump-campaign-spending-00169969">Politico</a>, Joe Biden was far outspending Donald Trump even before the debate, and it was having no impact at all.
The real reason he&#8217;s getting out is because Trump is destroying him in the polls.

Joe Biden stepping down from the Democratic nomination but remaining president is the worst case scenario for the Democrats politically. This decision leaves the next nominee carrying Biden&#8217;s baggage without ever assuming the power of the presidency. 
How exactly can that happen?
First, there is no real mechanism to have forced Joe Biden off the ticket if he didn’t want to go. The so-called fateful delegate rule was put in place by the Democratic National Committee in 1980 to prevent delegates pledged to then-President Jimmy Carter from defecting to Senator Ted Kennedy. Current Democratic National Committee language says, “Delegates elected to the national convention pledged to a presidential candidate shall in all good conscience reflect the sentiments of those who elected them.” Theoretically, that could be interpreted to allow delegates to abandon Biden, but now, that is not necessary.
Since, however, Biden has withdrawn his candidacy before the DNC, the delegates pledged to him are now free to support another candidate. He can recommend his delegates follow Kamala Harris, but they&#8217;re not bound to his wishes. They don&#8217;t have to do what he wants them to do.
The DNC rules allow for a conscience clause where delegates can vote their conscience if a nominee steps down. Since the delegates are free, intense lobbying and campaigning will follow. It has established rules for such scenarios. With Biden stepping down as presumptive nominee after securing the nomination but before the election, the DNC will convene and select a new nominee.
That process will involve consultation with Democratic governors, congressional leaders, and party officials to ensure a smooth transition. But it could lead to significant internal conflicts within the Democratic Party, going all the way to the convention in Chicago, ironically. Debates will arise whether Vice President Harris should be the nominee or if other candidates should be considered. 
The Democratic Party will also need to manage the optics of Biden stepping down as nominee, which will most likely lead to disarray and could weaken voter confidence in the Democrats generally. Historic incidents, such as when Hubert Humphrey became the Democratic nominee in 1968 after Lyndon Baines Johnson decided not to run, show how critical the party&#8217;s handling of such transitions can be.

The new nominee will face the challenge of quickly building a campaign, fundraising, and establishing a platform which could put them at a disadvantage considering that there&#8217;s not a lot of time left before the election. Kamala Harris does have an advantage since she will presumably use the same campaign infrastructure as the Biden Harris campaign. Legally, she can do that. Ensuring a smooth and transparent transition would be crucial to maintaining voter confidence for the Democrats as well.
The political dynamics within the party will be really, really complex. This truncated campaign period between now and the convention will require rapid mobilization and strategic planning to unify the party and appeal to the broader electorate. The nominee&#8217;s ability to quickly establish something that resembles at least a clear and compelling vision will be important. This would involve not only addressing current issues, but also articulating a forward looking agenda that voters actually care about.
Good luck with that, Democrats. The current Democratic possibilities have relatively low name recognition other than Kamala Harris — and people don&#8217;t like Kamala Harris. In fact, Harris has bad poll numbers. That&#8217;s one of the main reasons Democrats have been so hesitant to try to force Biden out.
Biden stepping down not only from the nomination, but also from the presidency, has always been a less likely scenario because Biden seems unlikely to give up the power, which is what we are seeing now. However, it is still a possibility, especially because it&#8217;s really difficult to make the case that Biden isn&#8217;t well enough to be the nominee, but he&#8217;s still well enough to be the most powerful person on the planet.
According to the Presidential Succession Act and the 25th Amendment, if Biden resigns the office of the presidency, then Vice President Harris immediately assumes the presidency. The process is clear cut and has historical precedents. When Richard Nixon resigned in 1974 amidst Watergate, for example, Vice President Gerald Ford became president. They nominated Nelson Rockefeller as his vice president and Rockefeller was confirmed by Congress.
The transition is straightforward from a constitutional perspective as well. The 25th Amendment ensures a smooth transfer of power preventing any potential vacuum in leadership. Newly assumed President Harris would nominate a vice president, who would have to be confirmed by a majority vote in both the House and the Senate. That process is designed to ensure continuity and stability in the executive branch.
Furthermore, the 25th Amendment provides a mechanism for dealing with presidential disabilities. If it were confirmed Biden stepped down due to health reasons, this amendment ensures Harris can assume the duties of the presidency seamlessly. This aspect of the amendment was added after the assassination of JFK to address potential gaps in leadership continuity.

Politically, Harris transitioning to the presidency would shift the dynamics within the Democratic Party and the broader political landscape. Her policy priorities and leadership style differ from Biden&#8217;s. It would more likely lead to changes in administrative focus. Public reaction would vary. A lot of people would, of course, celebrate the historic first female president. Others could react with skepticism based on the fact that, again, she has an incredibly low approval rating of 38%.
Historical context, like LBJ&#8217;s assumption of the presidency after JFK&#8217;s assassination in 1963, shows really mixed reactions to sudden changes in leadership. Johnson&#8217;s leadership during a turbulent time does provide a blueprint for how Harris might navigate the initial phase of her presidency.
Harris would also face the challenge of building her credibility as the new president. Obviously, she has significant shortcomings: her inability in the past to manage crises, implement policies, and maintain bipartisan cooperation. She, again, has real problems as a politician.
Harris would then, of course, become the presumptive Democratic nominee because it&#8217;s one thing to toss away the vice president, but it&#8217;s another thing to toss away the president. That would influence voter perception and party strategy. Historical precedents such as when President Ford took over from Nixon in the later facing election challenge from Jimmy Carter show that new presidents can face immediate and significant electoral hurdles, although that election ended up very close and Gerald Ford almost won.
We&#8217;ll have to hold on to the lap bar and see where this rollercoaster takes us.

The contrast between the Democratic Party and the Republican Party has never been starker in terms of the consolidation of the parties and their unity going forward.
Here&#8217;s the reality: The Republican Party is unified behind President Trump in unique and extraordinary ways. And the Democratic Party might not have a candidate for the presidency come Sunday.
Let’s begin with the triumphant presentation of Donald Trump as his party&#8217;s nominee for the third consecutive time, which is an extraordinary feat. On a pure political level, the fact that Trump won in 2016 was astonishing. The fact that he was the nominee the next time around was natural. The fact that after losing in 2020, he&#8217;s back in 2024, the nominee, and the front-runner for the presidency itself, is an astonishing political feat.
The RNC has been about building out the Trump coalition. It&#8217;s been about providing permission structures for people, who historically have not voted Republican and who would not be spotted dead in a red hat, to actually vote Republican and wear the red hat. 
It is an amazing thing., and you can feel it. You can feel there&#8217;s a vibe shift in the United States. Tons of people who never in a million years would have said they would even think about voting for Trump are now saying they are voting for Donald Trump,
Take the tech bros in San Francisco for example. There are countless tech workers in San Francisco who, sotto voce, are very against the Democrats because they don&#8217;t like wokeness; they don&#8217;t like regulation. They think their economic interests are undermined by Democrats, which they are. And they believe the meritocracy, which they rely upon, is being destroyed from the inside by the Democratic Party.
But for years, they would never cite those factors and say they were going to vote for Trump. But now, a lot of them are saying precisely that. 
You&#8217;re starting to see this from people pretty much everywhere across the country. 
The dam has now broken. For years, tremendous intimidation existed about voting for Trump or publicly speaking in support of him; social opprobrium descended upon you if you said you would even consider voting for Trump.
That seems to be gone right now. That is a testament to both the Democrats’ incompetence in office and a testament to Donald Trump&#8217;s campaign thus far, which has been markedly more disciplined than ever. In the last four weeks, Trump has basically disappeared from the public scene. As a consequence, he has had the best four-week period of any presidential candidate I&#8217;ve ever seen.
He had his debate with Biden, and then he had the brains to stay out of the spotlight while Biden took all incoming fire because of his incredibly terrible performance. Trump has had a few rallies here and there, but he mainly let the media focus in on his opponent. And now his opponent is so much on the ropes that he may be gone by this weekend.
Then, of course, there was the assassination attempt against President Trump in which he displayed remarkable physical bravery getting up while the shooter was presumably still out there. He didn&#8217;t know the shooter was dead when he was already getting up and waving his fist, shouting, “Fight.”
The first 15 to 20 minutes of Trump’s speech was some of the best Trump you&#8217;ll ever see. He spoke for the first time publicly about nearly being murdered live on national television.
Trump was subdued. It was all the things you would want from Trump in this speech.

I suggested earlier in the week that the best thing Trump could do would be to come out and say, “Listen. Being shot in the head changes a man, and it makes you think about the important things in life. It makes you think about the fact that we&#8217;re all Americans. And as much as we may disagree on politics, at the end of the day, we&#8217;re brothers and sisters, and we all have to be together.” 
For the first 20 minutes, that&#8217;s what the speech was.
After that, it turned into a Donald Trump campaign presentation. If you&#8217;ve ever been to a Trump campaign event, he basically does a comedy routine; he rambles, and he moves around. That&#8217;s what it turned into for the last 73 minutes.
You could see in real time the reaction in the room. Everybody in the room loved him — but 93 minutes is a long time. Because it was so long, it started to lose momentum.
Maybe that doesn&#8217;t matter very much because the purpose of the speech is simply to unify the party. And if that&#8217;s the case, then the speech is irrelevant. It really doesn&#8217;t matter what he said. 
What I do believe is that it was a missed opportunity from the perspective of what it could have accomplished, which was to put the race basically out of reach for the Democrats. If the speech had been the first 20 minutes and a five-minute capper, I think this race would be over. It wasn&#8217;t, not because of anything nefarious or terrible, but because when President Trump gets in front of a crowd, he responds to the crowd; he really likes talking with his fans.
I feel that this is necessary to point out because it was a missed opportunity. I&#8217;m a huge baseball fan. If you&#8217;ve ever been to a baseball game where your team is up three runs in the sixth inning with the bases loaded and one out, and one hit breaks the game wide open but the other team brings in a reliever and gets out of the situation, and then you don’t get any runs and you miss the opportunity, you start to have the feeling in the pit of your stomach like this game is not over yet; there are still a lot of moves left on this particular chessboard.
On the Democratic side, we’re seeing something unprecedented: The candidate wins the nomination and then after winning the nomination considers giving it up. CNN’s Jake Tapper actually got it right, <a href="https://www.mediaite.com/tv/jake-tapper-compares-biden-to-famous-movie-character-who-doesnt-know-hes-dead-unaware-of-his-grim-fate/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">saying:</a>
<blockquote>Meanwhile, events no less momentous are playing out in Delaware where President Biden is self-isolating after testing positive for Covid, we’re told. To hear top Democrats tell it, President Biden is like Bruce Willis’ character in the movie &#8216;The Sixth Sense.&#8217; He is the only one who seems unaware of his grim fate.</blockquote>
Democrats are preparing for the coup, according to the Wall Street Journal editorial page, which <a href="https://www.wsj.com/articles/democrats-biden-step-down-kamala-harris-chuck-schumer-hakeem-jeffries-donald-trump-363a0701" target="_blank" rel="noopener">wrote</a>: 
<blockquote>One thing we’ve learned over the years is that Washington Democrats are ruthless when threatened by a loss of power. You almost have to admire their cold-blooded calculation. President Biden is now learning this harsh lesson as the Democratic-media complex organizes to, er, persuade him to withdraw from the presidential race.
That effort, which began after Mr. Biden’s failed debate on June 27, is now in full orchestrated gale. The President hasn’t taken the hint to drop out from the withdrawal calls by the media and Congress’s backbenchers, so now the big names are letting it be known they too want Joe to go.</blockquote>
It&#8217;s very difficult to tell right now whether all the pressure tactics on Biden and all the reporting that he&#8217;s going to leave is wish-casting by Democrats in the media or whether it&#8217;s true because the media desperately want him to drop out.
Democratic leadership believes the best possibility for defeating Trump is, in fact, getting rid of Biden and putting someone else in.
Barack Obama tried to stick the final knife into Biden over the last 24 hours. He leaked to the <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2024/07/18/obama-says-biden-must-consider-viability/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Washington Post</a> that he told allies recently that President Biden&#8217;s path to victory has greatly diminished, and he thinks the president needs to seriously consider the viability of his candidacy.
According to reporter <a href="https://twitter.com/MarkHalperin/status/1814049842790006837" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Mark Halperin</a>, Biden will not resign the presidency and most importantly, Biden will not endorse Kamala Harris, which is the final knife in the back for her. He elevated her to the vice presidency over the advice of his wife, Jill, and then on his way out, he will stick the knife in.
There have been rumors about an open Democratic National Convention.
Here&#8217;s the problem with that: You can&#8217;t restrict it. Once it&#8217;s an open convention, anybody can get in. And I&#8217;m going to put out a dark horse name no one is talking about: Bernie Sanders. He has the hardest consolidated base inside the Democratic Party. Why wouldn&#8217;t he make a play for the top spot? Yes, he&#8217;s really old, but so what? He&#8217;s still significantly livelier than Biden is at this point.
What happens if Biden steps aside? The delegates are pledged to him. If he frees his delegates, they do not have to go to Harris, who is a terrible, terrible candidate, but is not going to step out of the way.
But with all of this said, despite the fact Trump has just had the best month of any presidential candidate in recent memory, in the <a href="https://www.realclearpolling.com/polls/president/general/2024/trump-vs-biden" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Real Clear Politics</a> polling average, he is at 47.7%. He&#8217;s not at 55%. He&#8217;s not at 54%. He&#8217;s at 47.7%. And even though he&#8217;s doing really, really well in the swing states, Republicans are going to have to fight this fight all the way down to the wire.
For Republicans: Do not get complacent.
You cannot afford to be complacent at this point in time.

Democrats are ready to toss Joe Biden off the back of the train. They&#8217;re done with the old man, and they are leaking like a sieve.
Biden has a serious problem on his hands from his own party at this point. It had appeared for a moment as if the pressure on him to go was going to let up, but now it has broken out in full force in the open, and that is because of all the polling data.
An article published in the <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2024/07/17/us/politics/dnc-biden-nomination.html#:~:text=%E2%80%9CMany%20of%20us%20are%20perplexed,armed%20with%20grim%20new%20data." target="_blank" rel="noopener">New York Times</a> yesterday stated:
<blockquote>Democratic leaders have come to their conversations with Mr. Biden armed with grim new data. According to a poll from Blue Rose Research, a firm that formed from but is no longer affiliated with Future Forward, the super PAC supporting Mr. Biden, just 18 percent of voters and only 36 percent of people who voted for Mr. Biden in 2020 believe he is mentally fit and up to the job of being president. 
Mr. Schumer, according to the Democrat close to him, was also given data from a leading Democratic super PAC showing Mr. Biden’s deficit growing to 5 percentage points or more in the must-win states of Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin, and his deficit in three other key states — Nevada, Georgia and Arizona — outside the margin of sampling error.</blockquote>
Biden’s poll numbers are declining, and this necessitates a conversation about pulling the plug on Joe.
At this point in the 2024 cycle, it is very clear that God&#8217;s team, his writing team, is throwing every single plot point into a pot of stew.
This is season eight of “Game of Thrones”; instead of dragging this story out over the course of two seasons, taking two seasons to get from King&#8217;s Landing all the way to the Frozen North, we&#8217;re going to be there in five seconds flat with the dragons because the plot points are coming fast and furious.
It&#8217;s like drinking from a firehose. In the last month alone, we have seen Biden&#8217;s full-scale collapse on stage in the presidential debate. We had two weeks of deliberation about whether he was going to go, including multiple bizarre interviews with the president of the United States.
We had an assassination attempt on Donald Trump.
We then had Trump&#8217;s selection of his vice-presidential candidate.
And now it turns out Joe Biden has COVID.
That’s the least of his concerns. His senility is the most of his concerns. When I say his senility, I mean he is gone and everyone knows that; we&#8217;ve all known it for years. But now, you&#8217;re allowed to say it because it&#8217;s so clear.

Biden did an interview with BET in which he was talking about his defense secretary, Lloyd Austin, and literally forgot his name, calling him “the black man.”
They finally have the excuse to pull the plug on the old man. They put him in hospice care — or political hospice care — and now they&#8217;re just having the intra-family debate about whether Joe Biden or his campaign wants to live under these conditions, or whether he really would want, in his living will, for the plug to be pulled. 
In that same interview with BET, Biden suggested a way out for Democrats: He would drop out if he had a medical issue.
We’ve already seen a few problems from Biden, such as his inability to climb stairs. On Wednesday, he was trying to <a href="https://x.com/reporterjacobg/status/1813702006688886865" target="_blank" rel="noopener">climb stairs</a>, and he looked like the sloth from “Zootopia.” He was barely moving.

So now they have their excuse: Joe Biden has COVID.
According to White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, Biden will return to his home in Delaware, where he will self-isolate.
What does that mean? It means he&#8217;s going to have the full weekend to decide whether or not he&#8217;s going to go. 
In the meantime, Biden’s team keeps saying he won&#8217;t leave while Chuck Schumer, Hakeem Jeffries, and Nancy Pelosi are all leaking like a sieve to the press, trying to publicly shame him out of the race.

Tuesday night at the RNC was a unity night.
Donald Trump promised a unity convention among Republicans. The unity is obviously materializing.
There is a Marxist materialist view of history that says individual figures don&#8217;t matter. It dates back to Hegel, actually predating Marx, and it suggests that we ride the eddies of history, that history is a series of impersonal forces, and that individual figures don&#8217;t matter. It would argue that if there were no Churchill, there would have been somebody similar to Churchill who would have performed the same function; if there were no Hitler, there would have been someone like Hitler who performed that same function.
There&#8217;s a countervailing view, derisively termed the “great man” view of history, which is the idea that individuals matter in history.
And that idea is true.
Donald Trump is one more example of the fact that individual figures actually do shape history, whether for good or for ill.
The way the Republican Party is coming together around Trump is something absolutely unique. Republicans came together around other candidates. They&#8217;ve come together in conventions around Mitt Romney and John McCain.
But the level of enthusiasm for Trump on a personal level, the obvious level of adoration in the hall for him, and the capacity he has to cobble together a coalition that really is non-ideological are unique.
Trump is not an ideological figure, and because he is not, he has not formed an ideological party. That doesn&#8217;t mean the actual policies that come out of his administration won&#8217;t be ideological; his first term was very ideological, a fairly conservative administration — ideologically more conservative than George W. Bush&#8217;s administration, at least when it came to the courts or foreign policy.
But when it comes to Trump’s coalition, it is entirely non-ideological. I&#8217;ve heard a lot of complaints, which I agree with on a moral level: Why are some of the people speaking at the convention as if they have nothing to do with conservatism? They&#8217;re not spokespeople for conservatism.

But I don&#8217;t think that&#8217;s what the RNC is for. The RNC is a showcase. It&#8217;s a permission structure for people to join the tent. Politics is all about coalitions. It&#8217;s about coalition building. It&#8217;s about how many people you can give permission to so they can join your side against the other side.
Trump has built a massive anti-Left coalition. As the Left has gone off the rails again, there&#8217;s a reactivity to American politics because Trump is who Trump is. Because the Left went completely off the rails, they forced everybody in the middle to Trump&#8217;s side.
What happened, for example, with Elon Musk is similar to what happened with me. I was not a voter for Donald Trump in 2016. I didn&#8217;t vote for either candidate in 2016 because, frankly, I didn&#8217;t like either candidate. Then the Left went completely off the rails, and Trump gave me more conservative policy than I thought I was going to get.
I voted for him in 2020, and then the Left went even further off the rails. Now, I&#8217;ve donated and held a fundraiser for Trump’s 2024 campaign.
JD Vance, the vice-presidential candidate, did the same sort of thing. Vance was more strenuously anti-Trump than I was in 2016. By 2020, he backed Trump. In 2024, he became a vice presidential candidate.
That’s because Trump has a unique capacity as a non-ideological, larger-than-life figure to hold together coalitions that include people who are both pro-life and pro-choice, people who are pro-gay marriage and anti-gay marriage. He&#8217;s able to cobble together a coalition between union leaders and people who think that right to work is a top priority.
It&#8217;s a non-ideological coalition, and that&#8217;s what the RNC is about. People who are criticizing the RNC platform don’t understand that the RNC platform is not an actual policy statement that matters. It just isn&#8217;t. That&#8217;s not what the RNC is for anymore.
There may have been a time when the RNC platform mattered, but the RNC is not a tool for ideology any longer. It is not where you look to determine what Republicans or conservatives think. It is merely a tool for victory, and it&#8217;s particularly a tool for victory for Donald Trump in this election cycle.
So you&#8217;re seeing an extraordinarily large tent, a tent that&#8217;s largely unsupportable ideologically in the sense that the actual tent poles are so far apart that in any normal circumstance, they would collapse in on themselves.
But because Trump is at the center of that tent and he&#8217;s an extraordinarily large and powerful supporting and buttressing force in the center of that tent, that tent can hold.
That&#8217;s what you&#8217;re seeing at the Republican National Convention right now.

We now have a vice presidential nominee from Donald J. Trump: Senator J.D. Vance from Ohio.
It&#8217;s an audacious, confident pick from the former president of the United States. He’s making that pick because he believes he&#8217;s winning. It is that simple. 
There&#8217;s a reason that Trump believes he&#8217;s winning. The swing state polling from <a href="https://today.yougov.com/politics/articles/50061-postdebate-times-say24-swing-state-polls-biden-trails-democratic-senate-candidates-lead">YouGov</a> finds that Trump is currently up nine in Arizona, five in Wisconsin, six in Georgia, three in Pennsylvania, two in Michigan, five in Nevada, and four in North Carolina. That is an extraordinary set of polls for Trump. And Michigan is the only one of those polls that seems to possibly even be within spitting distance. 
This is not a strategic pick. This is not the sort of pick that is designed to win Virginia, which is what Glenn Youngkin (R-VA) likely would have done. It&#8217;s not a pick that&#8217;s designed to do outreach to Hispanics, as choosing Marco Rubio (R-FL) would have done.
It is a pick that may be designed to shore up the blue wall in favor of red in Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania, but more importantly, I think for Donald Trump, it&#8217;s designed to enshrine his policy legacy as a shift away from traditional conservatism.
In Trump’s statement announcing the pick, he concluded. “J.D. has had a very successful business career in Technology and Finance, and now, during the Campaign will be strongly focused on the people he fought so brilliantly for, the American Workers and Farmers in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio, Minnesota, and far beyond.” 
That last sentence is the one that matters the most. Trump was name-checking Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin — three states he is hoping to win with this pick.
But the truth is he actually doesn&#8217;t need Vance to win those states. In fact, the last time Trump ran in 2020, Vance was running for the Senate in Ohio. Trump actually outran Vance. Vance underperformed Trump.
So the pick is not really about those states.

Vance is quite smart and articulate; he&#8217;s an excellent writer. That, along with the fact he has become a Trump loyalist and an absolute bulldog when it comes to any debate, is presumably why Trump picked him. J.D. Vance is likely to clock Kamala Harris into next week in any debate.
There’s a contrast with Vance. The central thesis of his bestselling “Hillbilly Elegy” was that tons of people in the middle of the country had been left behind. <a href="https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/7839118-if-you-believe-that-hard-work-pays-off-then-you" target="_blank" rel="noopener">He wrote</a> in “Hillbilly Elegy”: 
<blockquote>If you believe that hard work pays off then you work hard. If you think it&#8217;s hard to get ahead, even when you try it, why try at all? Similarly, when people do fail, this mindset allows them to look outward. I once ran into an old acquaintance in a Middletown bar who told me that he had recently quit his job because he was sick of waking up early. I later saw him complaining on Facebook about the Obama economy and how it affected his life. I don&#8217;t doubt the Obama economy has affected many, but this man is assuredly not among them. His status in life is directly attributable to the choices he&#8217;s made and his life will improve only through better decisions. But for him to make better choices, he needs to live in an environment that forces him to ask some questions about himself. There&#8217;s a cultural movement in the white working class to blame problems on society or the government, and that movement gains adherents by the day.</blockquote>
Yet that contrasts with his industrial policy. He&#8217;s very much on the interventionist economic side of the Republican aisle. He favors government interventionism in terms of subsidies and regulations, very much like President Trump supposedly did back in 2016 — although Trump didn&#8217;t actually end up implementing a lot of that.
I would assume that if Vance were president, he would implement those kinds of policies. This is one of the areas he differs widely from traditional economic, free market conservatism.
On trade, for example, he has been very much in favor of tariffs. He suggested a much more aggressive approach to protecting domestic manufacturers if Trump wins a second term. Trump was aggressive on tariff policy with regard to China, largely for national security reasons.
But Vance is much more aggressive in terms of actual domestic protection for manufacturers. He told me in an interview I did with him in 2021, “But we also have this very discrete idea that while the government shouldn&#8217;t be controlling the American economy, we should have as a policy consensus, a view about what we want the economy to be, what we want the market to be able to produce, and to put a little bit of a thumb on the scale to make that possible.”
On a generalized level, I obviously disagree with that, as I told him. I’m a more free-market advocate than Vance is, but he&#8217;s an excellent and intelligent expositor of his position on these issues. On economics, he&#8217;s made common cause from time to time with Senator Elizabeth Warren, and he has cheered on Federal Trade Commissioner Chair Lina Khan.
On economics, Vance is very heterodox. He has signaled his possible willingness to hike taxes in some cases. He has spoken out in favor of breaking up some of Big Tech. That is somewhat of an open debate inside the Republican Party right now.
On foreign policy, I would say Vance is not so much an isolationist, but more of a realist. That takes a rather interesting turn when it comes to the two major hot conflicts in the world right now — one in Israel and one in Ukraine. He looks at those two conflicts and sees heavy American interest in Israel. He does not see heavy American interest in Ukraine; he is famously anti-Ukraine aid.
He wrote a piece in April in which he cited three reasons why there shouldn&#8217;t be any more aid to Ukraine:
<ul>
<li>One: Ukraine will not be able to do with the aid what they need to do</li>
<li>Two: The lack of American military capacity and the notion we are going to be overdoing it; that essentially if we ship them more military aid, then we are emptying our own stockpiles</li>
<li>Three: We should be spending money at home, not abroad</li>
</ul>
I think the last idea is the most flimsy because that&#8217;s always true for any conflict. Any conflict could be used as an excuse for not having a foreign policy. I also think it ignores the actual American interests in, say, preventing Russia from taking over the world&#8217;s breadbasket and then putting itself on the borders of a multiplicity of NATO&#8217;s states. If you don&#8217;t want an arms race in Europe, then presumably, a level of aid sufficient to allow Ukraine to repel Russia from a full-scale win would be the thing you&#8217;re looking for.
Vance said, “I got to be honest with you; I don&#8217;t really care what happens to Ukraine one way or another.” That is a very strong statement. But he also said something that sounds very much like what Trump or I would say, which is that you support Ukraine up to the point peace can be reached with an eye on the off-ramp.
When it comes to Israel, however, he does see strong American interests. At the Quincy Institute, he spelled out what he thinks America&#8217;s interests are in maintaining enough aid for Israel to be able to destroy Hamas and then to broker a peace deal with the Saudis that would create a regional security bloc.
He stated:
<blockquote>I think we have a real opportunity to ensure that Israel is an ally in the true sense, that it&#8217;s going to pursue their interests. And sometimes those interests totally overlap with the United States, and that&#8217;s totally reasonable. But they are fundamentally self-sufficient. And I think the way that we get there in Israel is actually by combining the Abraham Accords approach with the defeat of Hamas. That gets us to a place where Israel and the Sunni nations can play a regional counterweight to Iran. Again, we don&#8217;t want a broader regional war. We don&#8217;t want to get involved in a broader regional war. The best way to do that is to ensure that Israel, with the Sunni nations, can actually police their own region of the world. And that allows us to spend less time and less resources on the Middle East and focus more on East Asia. </blockquote>
That is a very solid realist case: the point of American aid is to foment American interests.
On immigration, he very much mirrors Trump. Just last week, he slammed Jerome Powell, the chair of the Federal Reserve, on illegal immigration and its impact on the economy. He noted that if you aren&#8217;t increasing wages, then you can&#8217;t undercut the labor base.
I don&#8217;t think that&#8217;s a particularly great argument against immigration. There is a very strong cultural argument: that you actually have to screen people so you don&#8217;t have a massive influx not engaged in American taxpaying, American culture, or the Declaration of Independence.
But Vance’s perspective obviously matches up well with the perspective of President Trump.
The question I&#8217;ve always asked about Trumpism is this: Is there a Trumpism or is there only Trump?
Vance is the best exponent of Trumpism — if there is, in fact, a Trumpism.

Audacious: Trump Picks Vance For V.P.

The walk-back we are seeing from the Biden White House after the attempted assassination of former President Trump is an acknowledgment that we need to cool the rhetoric, to calm it down.
Politics is enmeshed in all of this because President Biden is running a really rough reelection campaign against former President Trump, by polling data. Trump is leading him by about three points nationally. If Trump were to win the popular vote by three points, he would have a 100% chance of winning the Electoral College, according to poll analyst <a href="https://www.natesilver.net/p/biden-needs-to-do-more-than-make" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Nate Silver</a>.
Biden issued a blasé <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/speeches-remarks/2024/07/14/remarks-by-president-biden-2/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">statement</a> saying an investigation was underway. He stated:
<blockquote>Last night, I spoke with Donald Trump. I’m sincerely grateful that he’s doing well and recovering. And we had a short but good conversation. Jill and I are keeping him and his family in our prayers. … as this investigation continues, here’s what we’re going to do. First, Mr. Trump, as a former president and nominee of the Republican Party already receives a heightened level of security, and I have been consistent in my direction to the Secret Service to provide him with every resource, capability, and protective measure necessary to ensure his continued safety. Second, I’ve directed the head of the Secret Service to review all security measures for the — all security measures for the Republican National Convention, which is scheduled to start tomorrow. And third, I’ve directed an independent review of the national security at yesterday’s rally to assess exactly what happened. And we’ll share the results of that independent review with the American people as well.</blockquote>
So that was Biden’s rather blasé statement yesterday. Because of this horrifying circumstance, he was able to shift the narrative away from himself, as his mental capacity has been the center of the news lately. Until the assassination attempt, the news cycle was all about the fact that Biden might be ousted by his own party because he was trailing in the polls and clearly declining every single day.

The focus has now shifted back to Trump. But it also puts Biden on the defensive because the reality is that people have been heating up the rhetoric to the point where there was an assassination attempt against Donald Trump.
That has been going on for nearly 10 years; it was Joe Biden who, all the way back in 2011, suggested that members of the Tea Party were akin to terrorists. 
It was Joe Biden who said Mitt Romney wanted to put black people back in chains. 
It was Joe Biden who spent large swathes of his career engaging in the most extraordinarily radical type of rhetoric with regard to his political opponents, full-scale demonization.
And now Joe Biden has to try and walk that back. He has thus far refused to dissociate from his central campaign message, which is that his opponent is a fascist who is going to destroy the country wholesale and turn himself into a Hitlerian dictator.
Biden&#8217;s entire campaign has been about how his political opponents are going to end democracy and institute a fascist dictatorship, that if he does not win reelection, his political opponent is so evil there will likely never be another election and democracy will be fatally undermined.
So when Biden says we all need to take down the rhetoric, is he willing to say “including me”? Biden’s people recently tweeted that Trump would come into office and institute &#8220;The Handmaid&#8217;s Tale.&#8221; Joe Biden&#8217;s X account declared that Donald Trump would be a full-scale dictator.
If Biden is willing to dissociate from the central message of his campaign, I will take his talk more seriously about lowering the political temperature.
Biden’s entire campaign has been about how his political opponent is orange Hitler.
The problem is when Biden states that the political temperature must come down, it rings hollow.

What’s the worst-case scenario for Democrats right now?
The worst-case scenario is not Joe Biden dropping out. If Joe Biden dropped out, they&#8217;d get Kamala Harris or somebody else, and then they&#8217;d have a fresh race against Donald Trump. And the worst-case scenario is not Joe Biden staying in because, if he stays in and everyone in his party consolidates behind him, he probably loses, but it doesn&#8217;t have a massive down-ballot effect.
The worst-case scenario for Democrats is: not being sure. It is the worst case scenario because more than half the party wants Biden out while he and his family want him in. It&#8217;s tearing the party apart. It&#8217;s creating massive chaos inside the Democratic Party. It is sinking Biden and the rest of the Democratic Party’s poll numbers. And over the course of the last couple of weeks, what he’s done is just make that situation much worse.
The polling data right now is very consistent. Trump has a consistent 3-5 point lead in the national polling data, according to <a href="https://www.realclearpolling.com/polls/president/general/2024/trump-vs-biden" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Real Clear Politics</a>. Their polling average shows Trump leading in the following battleground states: Arizona, Nevada, Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Georgia. He is within spitting distance in Virginia, New Hampshire, and even Minnesota.
All of this is a disaster area for Biden because the map is exceptionally broad for Trump and it is extraordinarily narrow for Biden.
But the Democratic Party can&#8217;t force the old man out. Despite the fact that, according to a <a href="https://www.pewresearch.org/politics/2024/07/11/amid-doubts-about-bidens-mental-sharpness-trump-leads-presidential-race/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Pew Research</a> poll, he currently has a 32% approval rating — including a <a href="https://x.com/IAPolls2022/status/1811440357428588826" target="_blank" rel="noopener">27% approval rating</a> among people aged 18-to-29, which is supposed to be his radical, magical base — every so often, some sort of outlier poll shows a dead heat between Trump and Biden.
That&#8217;s enough for Biden to believe that perhaps he can pull the election out after all. Yesterday, a brand new <a href="https://www.langerresearch.com/wp-content/uploads/1233a1AftertheDebate.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">ABC News/Washington Post/Ipsos poll</a> was released finding Trump and Biden in a dead heat for the nation&#8217;s popular vote. Those results almost mirrored those of an ABC News/Ipsos poll from April in which registered voters favored Trump 46% to 44%, with 8% going someplace else.

The big problem for congressional Democrats is that they want to oust Joe Biden. But they&#8217;re going to need better data than polls like that one. What they really need to do is somehow convince Jill Biden, who is the driving force behind Joe Biden&#8217;s logic, that there&#8217;s no way he can win. But there&#8217;s no way to convince him of that because he keeps thinking that the poll shortcomings he is having right now are due to the fact his own base is not supporting him properly, according to Politico, which <a href="https://www.politico.com/news/2024/07/11/biden-inner-circle-democrats-problems-00167636#:~:text=The%20first%20family%20remains%20committed,to%20the%20two%20people%20familiar." target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>:
<blockquote>The first family remains committed to the campaign, with first lady Jill Biden and the president’s son, Hunter, both telling confidants that they still believe that the president is the only candidate who can beat Trump, according to the two people familiar.
The first lady has also expressed fear that bowing out would make the Atlanta debate a defining image of her husband’s presidency, an outcome she finds unacceptable, the people said. Biden’s sister, Valerie, also remains committed to the campaign but has not ruled out advocating changes if the race becomes damaging to her brother’s health and legacy.</blockquote>
In essence, Biden’s immediate family is telling him to stay in. And Jill Biden — who has a bizarre image in her head that Joe Biden stepping down would be much worse for him than if he runs and loses — is the person in his ear.
Meanwhile, aides are bracing for a new wave of defections following Biden&#8217;s Thursday press conference. But the point is: It wasn&#8217;t as big of a disaster area as many of the Biden critics had hoped. Contrastingly, it was a best-case scenario for Trump because, if he and the Republican Party want chaos to remain inside the Democratic Party, Biden performing barely well enough so he sticks around is ideal.
That is precisely what is happening.
A series of reports indicate a growing movement inside the Democratic Party to replace Biden. His aides themselves are leaking like fury everywhere that Biden needs to leave the race.
All of this has been building since the presidential debate. Yesterday, Biden spoke at a press conference. This was the moment when Biden was supposed to turn into &#8220;Smokin’ Joe,&#8221; come out gunning, be strong and powerful.
First, Biden mentioned it would not be like a normal press conference in which he just called on people randomly. He had a list of reporters he would call on, presumably prescreened by his team.
None of the reporters asked about Biden not having cabinet meetings for nine months. None of them asked about the fact that Joe Biden&#8217;s White House called to edit radio interviews this week. None asked about a possible Parkinson’s diagnosis. No questions were asked about why Hunter Biden, a convicted felon and longtime crack addict, is now in the inner circle and attending cabinet meetings.
Biden referred to “Vice President Trump,” <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/speeches-remarks/2024/07/11/remarks-by-president-biden-in-press-conference-9/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">saying</a>, “Look, I wouldn&#8217;t have picked Vice President Trump to be vice president did I think she was not qualified to be president.” He also said no one has suggested he take a neurological test.
Except for half of America.
He continued, saying, “I&#8217;m following the advice of my commander-in-chief.”
Jill Biden has a new nickname, apparently.
And this was his best press conference.
But it may have been good enough so he stays in the race.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) is still trying to steal headlines and distract from the failure of Joe Biden by introducing articles of impeachment against Supreme Court Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito.
This is nothing but ridiculous and silly grandstanding. There are no grounds for the impeachment of Thomas or Alito. Thomas did not violate any ethics standards of the Supreme Court by hanging out with people who happen to be rich Republicans any more than Democrats on the Supreme Court have violated their ethical standards by hanging out with rich Democrats.
Being on the Supreme Court automatically makes you a member of the economic and philosophical elite in this country. That&#8217;s just the way it works.
The idea that Samuel Alito should also be impeached demonstrates the full-scale insanity of the joke. The Democrats are claiming that a full-on senile president who&#8217;s incapable of forming sentences should remain in the White House, and everyone in the cabinet who knew who he is senile should remain.
But Alito’s wife flew flags the Democrats didn’t like, and they’re trying to construct that into some sort of statement about January 6 so that Alito is impeached.
Ocasio-Cortez knows her act is going nowhere. She doesn’t control the House. But getting a member to introduce articles of impeachment is the simplest thing in the world.
It&#8217;s an attempt to undermine the credibility of the Supreme Court. These same people say Donald Trump is a threat to democracy, yet our institutions are filing articles of impeachment against Thomas and Alito for absolutely nothing. They’re completely fine with the integrity of the Supreme Court as long as the majority is made up by people sympathetic to Democrats.

Yesterday, Ocasio-Cortez put out <a href="https://ocasio-cortez.house.gov/media/press-releases/ocasio-cortez-introduces-articles-impeachment-against-justice-thomas-and" target="_blank" rel="noopener">a statement</a> saying, “The unchecked corruption crisis on the Supreme Court has now spiraled into a Constitutional crisis threatening American democracy writ large. Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito’s pattern of refusal to recuse from consequential matters before the court in which they hold widely documented financial and personal entanglements constitutes a grave threat to American rule of law, the integrity of our democracy, and one of the clearest cases for which the tool of impeachment was designed.”
What “unchecked corruption crisis”? Please name the case in which Clarence Thomas was paid for his opinion. Can she? The answer, of course, is no, she cannot.
So what are the impeachment articles against Thomas?
First, “Failure to disclose financial income, gifts and reimbursement, property interests, liabilities, and transactions, among other information.” Yet he did all of the legal disclosures he&#8217;s required to do.
Next, “Refusal to recuse from matters concerning his spouse&#8217;s legal interest in cases before the court.” She is not named in any of the court cases. If my spouse has political interests, why should I have to recuse based on that? I seem to remember being told by Democrats that to even imply that married women don&#8217;t have their own political interests because they&#8217;re married, and so they&#8217;re obviously impacting their husband or vice versa, would be sexist.
Ocasio-Cortez says with regard to Alito, “Refusal to recuse from matters involving his spouse’s financial interest in cases before the court.” Personal bias or prejudice? I&#8217;m sorry. Is the new standard that justices are not supposed to know people or groups? Because that&#8217;s going to be a hard one for Democrats to fulfill.

We are in the midst of a trust crisis in the world of media. That is because so many in the legacy media simply lie in order to preserve Left-leaning narratives. To take just the most recent example, we were told by the legacy media that Joe Biden was just fine. For years. Anyone who questioned his health and mental fitness was trafficking in “cheap fakes.”
Then Joe Biden went out and engaged in a full-scale mental collapse on stage in front of hundreds of millions of people.
So we can see why Americans – at least Americans who aren’t Democrats – don’t trust the media.
The question, then, isn’t why the legacy media have lost Americans’ trust – the answer to that is obvious: they don’t deserve our trust. The question is why, despite that loss of trust, the legacy media continue to gain share in the advertising market.
The answer is simple: there is, in fact, an informal pressure system created by Democratic legislators, this White House, legacy media, advertisers, and pseudo-objective “brand safety” organizations. That system guarantees that advertising dollars flow only to Left-wing media brands.
Let me explain how this works.
When a conservative competitor to the legacy media arises, members of the legacy media and their political allies rush to paint such competitors as dangerous. The commentator Kara Swisher of The New York Times, for example, told the head of YouTube that my videos on Daily Wire were a &#8220;gateway drug&#8221; that would lead children, including her teenage son, to watch neo-Nazi content (never mind the fact that I am an Orthodox Jew). 
Elected Democrats pick up that same messaging. In 2017, Senator Dianne Feinstein told lawyers at Facebook, Google, and Twitter, “You created these platforms…and now they’re being misused. And you have to be the ones to do something about it – or we will.”
Social media companies react to such threats. They have responded by adopting the standards of third-party Left-wing “informational safety” groups like the Global Alliance for Responsible Media, or GARM. GARM purportedly sets “brand safety” standards – objective standards by which advertisers and platforms can supposedly determine just what sort of content ought to be deemed “safe” for advertising. In reality, GARM acts as a cartel. Its members account for 90% of ad spending in the United States–almost $1 trillion. In other words, if you’re not getting ad dollars from GARM members, it’s nearly impossible to run an ad-based business. And if you’re not following their preferred political narratives – the ones Kara Swisher and Dianne Feinstein would follow – you will not be deemed “brand safe.” Your business will be throttled.
We at The Daily Wire have experienced this first-hand. In 2017 after Feinstein made her threats to bring the weight of government down on social media platforms, Daily Wire YouTube channels saw a one thousand percent increase in content enforcements over a two-year period. Since 2021, after Democrat officials further turned up the heat on social media companies, my Facebook page has seen an over eighty percent drop in impressions.
Or take Joe Rogan. When Rogan said that he had taken ivermectin after getting covid, White House press secretary Jen Psaki pressured Spotify to take action, stating, “we want every platform to be doing more to be calling out mis- and dis-information, while also uplifting accurate information.” Spotify complied. Spotify, of course, works with GARM.
So, what “brand safety” standards does GARM apply? The standards begin with the inarguable, like preventing the distribution of child sexual abuse material. But GARM doesn’t draw the line at what is criminal, abusive, or dangerous. Their standards include restrictions on:

<li>“Hate speech”</li>
<li>“Harassment”</li>
<li>“Misinformation” </li>
<li>Or, my favorite, “insensitive,” “irresponsible” and “harmful” treatment of “debated sensitive social issues.”</li>
</ul>
These criteria are highly subjective in theory. And they’re purely partisan in practice. For example, last year Daily Wire host Matt Walsh was fully demonetized on YouTube–a GARM member. Why? For “misgendering,” which to GARM, is to say that men are not women. Perfectly obvious facts now run afoul of GARM’s censorship standards.
Companies targeted by GARM like The Daily Wire, Breitbart, Fox News, and so many others reach hundreds of millions of people with opinions and beliefs long established as within the mainstream of American conservative thought. GARM and its members have no respect for the beliefs of those people. They want them marginalized and squashed.
It is time to stand up for the First Amendment in this Congress. 
Congress can do so in two ways. First, Congress must investigate the informal and perhaps formal arrangements between censorship cartels like GARM and executive branch agencies – the Daily Wire has already filed a federal lawsuit against the State Department for allegedly doing just this.
Second, Congress can itself stop engaging in violation of free speech principles.
Two weeks ago, writing in dissent in Murthy v. Missouri, Justice Alito condemned what he called “sophisticated” and “coercive” government campaigns against free speech.
Members of this committee have engaged in precisely such campaigns. When Congressman Schiff speaks about targeting social media companies that must be “pulled and dragged into this era of corporate responsibility” because they are too tolerant of “misinformation,” he knows what he is doing. He is participating in a sophisticated coercive campaign against free speech. When Congresswoman Jayapal blames social media for placing America at the “precipice of a democratic crisis,” and calls on them to target those they deem “hate groups,” she knows what she is doing. She is participating in a sophisticated coercive campaign against free speech. When Congressman Hank Johnson says “We need a constitutional amendment to allow the legislature to control the so-called free speech rights of corporations,” he knows what he is doing, too.
We all know what these governmental actors – what some of you – are doing. You are using the tacit threat of government action to compel private companies to throttle viewpoints you don’t like.
The First Amendment was not designed to enable workarounds by elected officials. It was directed at Congress. At you. You abdicate your fundamental duty when you exert pressure on private companies to censor speech. And some in this room have been doing just that for years. We in the non-legacy media have been feeling the effects. In the name of the Constitution – and yes, in the name of democracy – it must stop.

Joe Biden and Democrats are hoping that Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell saves them.
The big problem right now for Biden is that economic growth has slowed. There have been a bunch of retroactive revisions of the job numbers that push them down. This keeps happening over and over where the media says, “Those are pretty strong,” and then a month later they admit, “Well, subtract 100,000 from that.”
Inflation has not fully been conquered yet. So the Biden administration is desperately hoping that Jerome Powell will step in and try to cut interest rates before the election and give an artificial boost to Joe Biden&#8217;s reelection chances.
According to <a href="https://www.wsj.com/economy/central-banking/jerome-powell-senate-testimony-july-b7805d54">The Wall Street Journal</a>, “Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell made a subtle but important shift that moved the central bank closer to lowering interest rates when he suggested Tuesday that a further cooling in the labor market could be undesirable. ‘Elevated inflation is not the only risk we face,’ Powell told the Senate Banking Committee during the first of two days of testimony Tuesday. ‘We’ve seen that the labor market has cooled really significantly across so many measures.…It’s not a source of broad inflationary pressures for the economy now.’&#8230; Powell conceded that he wouldn’t have arrived at such a judgment as recently as two months ago…”
Powell said the slowdown in hiring means that they&#8217;re afraid there are too many unemployed people.
Perhaps the Fed is going to jog the economy with more money. The problem is that inflation is still at 2.6%, and 2% is the target. Fed officials have not conquered inflation; if they are to lower interest rates now, presumably what you will get is renewed inflation, just in time for the election.
Joe Biden is creating an economic box for himself, and I don&#8217;t think Jerome Powell is necessarily going to let him out of that box. It doesn’t seem as though the economy or the American perception of the economy is going to change radically prior to the election.

Which leaves the question open as to what exactly is going to change before the election. You can only say bad things, correct? What&#8217;s going to change for Biden before the election? What&#8217;s going to change for Trump?
Trump is absolutely the same as he was in 2016, as he was in 2020, except more disciplined. The big question for Trump is going to be whom he selects as his running mate. 
What&#8217;s going to change for Joe Biden? Because it&#8217;s hard to see what changes in a positive direction for him at this point.
It seems as though the only things that can happen at this point are pretty bad for him. Barring some sort of economic boom that suddenly breaks in, it’s going to be hard to change the direction of this election.
And the polls are running in Trump’s direction. In brand-new Emerson College polling, Trump is running ahead of Biden 46% to 43%. And Biden is the best the Democrats can do; Trump beats Kamala Harris 49% to 43%; Bernie Sanders by six, Al Gore by five, Hillary Clinton by seven, and Gavin Newsom by eight.
Nate Silver says Trump is leading by 3.1 percentage points. He stated that Trump is doing well in the swing states; leading in Pennsylvania by three, in Wisconsin by two, in Georgia by five, in Michigan by one, in North Carolina by six, in Arizona by seven, in Nevada by six, in Florida by nine, and in Texas by ten.
The Real Clear Politics polling average shows Donald Trump with a lead of five and a half points in Pennsylvania, up two in Wisconsin, one in Michigan, five in Arizona, four in Georgia, five in Nevada, and six in North Carolina.

The problem for Joe Biden is no matter how much he tries to talk himself through this race, no matter how he tries to convince everyone that he is healthy, youthful, full of vim and vigor, he is not.
And as much as some Democrats want him to, Joe Biden is not dropping out.

Joe Biden is in very, very serious electoral trouble.
A brand new <a href="https://emersoncollegepolling.com/june-2024-state-polls-trump-maintains-edge-over-biden/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">set of polls</a> from Emerson Polling finds that Donald Trump is currently up five points in Pennsylvania, five points in Georgia, one point in Michigan, four points in Arizona, three points in Wisconsin, and six points in Nevada.
In other words: a Donald Trump blowout.
Biden&#8217;s team is trying to pretend that all is well and fine, but CNN’s Harry Enten said that the polls are actually worse than they have been for any Democrat since the year 2000. That&#8217;s how bad these polling numbers are.
In an interview yesterday, Enten <a href="https://transcripts.cnn.com/show/cnc/date/2024-07-08/segment/04" target="_blank" rel="noopener">stated</a>:
<blockquote>Right now Donald Trump leads in an aggregate of national polls by about three percentage points. If you go back four years ago at this point, Joe Biden was ahead by nine points. This, right now, [doesn’t] look anything like what we saw four years ago at this point. … The idea that the polls underestimated Joe Biden last time around, simply put, does not hold any water.</blockquote>
He continued:
<blockquote>So, the idea in the Trump era that the polls have underestimated Democrats, whether it be in a Joe Biden matchup, whether it be a matchup against Hillary Clinton, whether it be in the midterms, at least in the national polling that right now shows Donald Trump in his strongest position, simply put, is not true. If anything, the polls have underestimated Republicans during the Trump era, especially in the presidential races in 2016 and in 2020.</blockquote>
The stonewalling and the excuse-making from the White House? None of it is working. And Biden is not going anywhere.

On Monday, Biden put out <a href="https://www.presidency.ucsb.edu/documents/letter-the-democratic-party-intention-accept-the-presidential-nomination" target="_blank" rel="noopener">a letter</a> on his intention to accept the presidential nomination, writing to his fellow Democrats:
<blockquote>I am firmly committed to staying in this race, to running this race to the end, and to beating Donald Trump.
I have had extensive conversations with the leadership of the party, elected officials, rank and file members, and most importantly, Democratic voters over these past 10 days or so. I have heard the concerns that people have &#8211; their good faith fears and worries about what is at stake in this election. I am not blind to them. Believe me, I know better than anyone the responsibility and the burden the nominee of our party carries. I carried it in 2020 when the fate of our nation was at stake.
I also know these concerns come from a place of real respect for my lifetime of public service and my record as President, and I have been moved by the expressions of affection for me from so many who have known me well and supported me over the course of my public life.
I&#8217;ve been grateful for the rock-solid, steadfast support from so many elected Democrats in Congress and all across the country and taken great strength from the resolve and determination I&#8217;ve seen from so many voters and grassroots supporters even in the hardest of weeks.
I can respond to all this by saying clearly and unequivocally: I wouldn&#8217;t be running again if I did not absolutely believe I was the best person to beat Donald Trump in 2024.</blockquote>
That&#8217;s because he is delusional; his brain no longer functions and he is blocking out all outside interference and voices at this point. 
He continued, writing:
<blockquote>We had a Democratic nomination process and the voters have spoken clearly and decisively. I received over 14 million votes, 87% of the votes cast across the entire nominating process. </blockquote>
He didn&#8217;t have an opponent, so there’s that.
<blockquote>This was a process open to anyone who wanted to run. Only three people chose to challenge me. One fared so badly that he left the primaries to run as an independent. Another attacked me for being too old and was soundly defeated. The voters of the Democratic Party have voted. They have chosen me to be the nominee of the party.
Do we now just say this process didn&#8217;t matter? That the voters don&#8217;t have a say?
I decline to do that. I feel a deep obligation to the faith and the trust the voters of the Democratic Party have placed in me to run this year. It was their decision to make. Not the press, not the pundits, not the big donors, not any selected group of individuals, no matter how well intentioned. The voters &#8211; and the voters alone &#8211; decide the nominee of the Democratic Party. </blockquote>
All those voters voted before Biden basically had a mental collapse on stage with Trump, of course. But he&#8217;s not leaving. He’s telling you that he is not going away. But how exactly is Biden going to recapture the magic with the base?
There&#8217;s one outlet he knows he can trust. One place where everybody knows his name. And that, of course, is on &#8220;Morning Joe&#8221; over at MSNBC, his favorite show. 
Joe Scarborough, who, just a few days ago after the debate, said that perhaps it was time for Biden to reconsider staying in the race, is back on the bandwagon, and he says the Dems should stop calling for Biden&#8217;s ouster.
On Sunday, Scarborough <a href="https://x.com/JoeNBC/status/1810052883183743290" target="_blank" rel="noopener">tweeted</a>, “Joe Biden can now say he’s having to fight: Media elites. Billionaire donors. Washington politicians. Hollywood moguls and MAGA extremists. Biden allies will likely mock these elites for wanting to substitute their judgment for that of millions of Democratic primary voters.”
There&#8217;s a big problem with that particular argument, which is that the Democratic base is significantly less comfortable with Biden, according to polls, than the Democrat elite.

Yesterday, Mika Brzezinski defended Biden’s performance in an interview with George Stephanopoulos: “It’s not like it’s the first time he flubs his words.”
So Biden called into &#8220;Morning Joe.&#8221; And this was a big moment for MSNBC, the magic moment where Biden had the friendliest reporters to him on planet Earth speaking with him.
The first thing Biden did was make a bad joke about Donald Trump golfing. And then it started to get a little worse because, again, Biden can&#8217;t keep with it. He obviously had notes right in front of him, and he was actually reading from the notes. In fact, at one point during this interview as he read from the script, you could hear him fumble with the papers.
But even with Joe and Mika, he couldn&#8217;t keep it under control. He was asked why he wouldn&#8217;t take a cognitive test. (Biden doesn&#8217;t want to take a cognitive test. He&#8217;s going to fail. That&#8217;s the problem.) So he started protesting about how he doesn&#8217;t need tests; he has been testing himself.
“It drives me nuts, people talking about this,” he said.
Biden was then asked about how he could assure he wouldn’t have a night like the debate again. He started rambling about how people can’t be sure they won’t get hit by a car on their way to work.
It all ended with some shouting, which is what you want from an old man — shouting at clouds.
At the very end of this interview, he started yelling how he&#8217;s frustrated by the elites in the party. He started ripping into the elites because that was his cue from Scarborough. And then he started bristling, “Challenge me.”
I love Joe Biden ripping the elites. That dude has been in Congress since he was 29-years-old. He&#8217;s now 8,211-years-old.

A couple years ago, I produced a few segments in which I answered viewers’ questions about dating. Rightly so; it’s a hot-button topic. I have <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/how-do-you-know-theyre-the-one-candace-owens-answers-questions-on-dating" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said it before</a> and I will say it again: Dating does not have to be as difficult as people make it out to be if you know what you are looking for in a significant other. So, I am revisiting some questions I have received over time to answer and give my thoughts.
<h4>Q: What are your thoughts on saving kissing for marriage?</h4>
My husband and I did not kiss until after we were engaged; however, that was mainly because of logistics and how quickly we got engaged. I don’t think kissing before marriage is a problem, and I don’t think it’s wrong to kiss someone before you get married. Ultimately, I would never expect someone to save kissing for marriage.
<h4>Q: What are your suggestions for a relationship in a rut with a lot of frustrations?</h4>
Some of the greatest words of wisdom I ever heard about being in a relationship was: When you’re dating someone, that is as good as it’s ever going to get. Many people believe if your relationship gets in a rut, marriage will be the solution to get out of that rut. They think <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/an-important-message-to-women-everywhere" target="_blank" rel="noopener">once you get married</a> and once you have children, the relationship will magically turn into “happily ever after.” (Women in particular hold this perspective, thinking that as soon as they get the ring, things will get better.) But that’s just not true. When you’re dating, you experience an emotional high, the relationship is fairly smooth, and you’re genuinely excited. If you start to see that taper off before you’re married, pay attention to those signs. You may not have found the person you’re meant to do life with.

This problem is in large part due to <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/this-is-a-story-all-about-how-the-fresh-prince-did-not-become-a-king" target="_blank" rel="noopener">culture telling men</a> to be more effeminate — and I’m sure that’s super frustrating. <a href="https://store.dailywire.com/products/make-men-manly-again-t-shirt?_pos=1&amp;_sid=4ee384564&amp;_ss=r" target="_blank" rel="noopener">(Make men manly again.)</a> But what you will find is that the more effeminate men live in city bubbles, but when you move into the rest of America, you will run into farmers, rangers, men who are working with their hands, and masculine men. Masculine men do exist.
<h4>Q: Do you keep in touch with or follow any exes?</h4>
Absolutely not. I am incredibly conservative when it comes to this issue. If you are in a relationship with another man, it’s super disrespectful — especially in a marriage — to maintain a relationship with a previous partner. I have never gone along with the “it used to be more but now we’re just friends” bit either. This is a definite no for me.

This is fairly common. Men take a bit longer to mature than women, but, on average, they seem to mature somewhere in their mid-twenties. There are always exceptions, but as a general rule, younger men just tend to be a little more immature than younger women. There are likely some biological aspects to this because, for example, women likely mature quicker because we have to carry children on a biological clock’s dictations. But even little girls like playing with dolls while little boys like to rough house. Men do, however, eventually grow into being ready to commit and in a serious relationship.

Leave. I knew two girls who went through a similar situation (relationships of about ten years each), and they both ended poorly. These women gave these men their best years. Meanwhile, men tend to age like fine wine — plus, they don’t have to worry so much about their reproductive vitality. That’s not the case for women. So, if you are giving someone years to make a decision and his decision is still “I don’t want to make a decision,” you are, unfortunately, a placeholder. He will likely meet another girl, get engaged quickly, and you will be left wondering what happened to the last decade of your life. I feel so terrible for women who have gone through this. But in both cases with the two women I knew, they knew they should have left earlier, but they didn’t muster the strength to do it. Have the strength to do it. Leave. Don’t be someone else’s placeholder.

Just ask her. The worst thing that can happen is that she says no. And while you’ll have a bruised ego for a couple of days, you will have done something manly in the long run. Girls are missing men asking them on dates — men who hold doors and have the confidence to ask women on dates rather than <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/why-everyone-hates-online-dating" target="_blank" rel="noopener">hiding behind apps</a> of Instagram DMs. Ask her to grab lunch or see a movie. I think cooking together is fun. My husband is also a good cook, so we enjoy doing that together. We also love to watch shows together. We never quite know who the Biden administration is going to host at an event, but this year, Kamala Harris invited students from HBCU schools to the White House for a day of HBCU Triumph. At this “black excellence event,” the White House welcomed people they think embody black excellence. Apparently, they are of the belief that <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/episode/this-is-trash-who-is-pushing-this-on-black-culture-member-exclusive" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Sexyy Red</a> is one of those people since they played her song “SkeeYee” during the event for all the guests.
But is it black excellence to gather a number of students from HBCU schools and basically cater to them to let them know that you know the kind of music they listen to by playing Sexyy Red? Is that actually black excellence? Or, is that government excellence? I believe it is the latter. This is a prime example of the government playing an almost perfect hand when it comes to black America, as it has destroyed our families over the last half century.
Black Americans were outpacing white Americans in the 1950s under Jim Crow in terms of economic growth, and then, the government got involved. Lyndon B. Johnson passed the Civil Rights Act — even though he was an avowed racist — because he was forced to. With all the unrest and rioting that was going on in the nation following the assassination of John F. Kennedy, he had to sign the Civil Rights Act to calm America. Then, as soon as the Act was signed, he implemented the welfare system with the Great Society Act, saying he knew he would have black Americans voting Democrat for the next 200 years. He has basically been right.
Black Americans continue to think Democrats are their friends and saviors, as witnessed by their visit to the White House when they put on music — trash music — that is the intentional disintegration of the black soul. They are convincing black Americans that this is their culture, when, actually, it is the corrosion of black culture. In today’s society, Sexyy Red is “success” for Democrats — with all the twerking that comes with that music. Just a short time ago, we were listening to bands like The Temptations and singers like Lauryn Hill. Perhaps there is an operation spinning in Hollywood from the people who brought us gangster rap and this sort of trash.

It’s no secret that some black Americans don’t like me because I talk about these issues. However, I want to <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/are-you-black-pilled" target="_blank" rel="noopener">make black Americans aware</a> of the fact that we have been targeted <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/mass-psychosis-how-villains-become-heroes-in-the-media" target="_blank" rel="noopener">and brainwashed</a> against our better interests. The media inevitably have much to say about anyone who has conversations with me on, basically, any matter, but especially those concerning black America.
I exposed the fraudulence surrounding the George Floyd case in my documentary “<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/videos/the-greatest-lie-ever-sold" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Greatest Lie Ever Sold</a>.” But black Americans said, “How dare you?” Yes, how dare I <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/i-am-sick-and-tired-of-media-deception" target="_blank" rel="noopener">expose</a> that Black Lives Matter not only used George Floyd’s unfortunate death to steal millions of dollars, but also laundered those dollars to organizations that have absolutely nothing to do with black America. How dare I expose that BLM convinced black Americans to riot and loot their own communities so that business leaders would be forced to move out. And they weren’t the only ones who were forced out.
Thanks to BLM efforts, police were forced out of neighborhoods and locations where looting was occurring, so, obviously, no one wanted to live in those neighborhoods. Why would anyone volunteer to live in an unsafe neighborhood or set up a business in a looting zone? This then caused black people in these communities to end up even more impoverished in those circumstances. So, I refuse to kowtow to the Democratic world order that has effectively destroyed black Americans.
I refused to cover up the fact that George Floyd died with enough fentanyl in his system to kill a horse, nor was I willing to act as though the full video of Floyd’s arrest showed that Floyd complied with police — when he did not. Floyd was safely put in the back of a cruiser, proclaimed he could not breathe while he was sitting in the backseat, and then asked to be put on the ground. I went on a fact-searching mission and exposed all the lies and the media propaganda arm that routinely convinces black America — and, quite honestly, all Americans now — that they are a part of a victim group.
The only victim group we are a part of is the group that is, at least to some extent, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/lifes-tough-get-a-helmet-man" target="_blank" rel="noopener">being victimized</a> by the media. Without question, we are constantly being lied to so that we never look at or question who the people are who are actually controlling us.

A publication (which will remain nameless) that used to cover me quite frequently recently and abruptly stopped. After looking into it, I found out that there had effectively been a ban put on my name — an internal embargo of sorts. Of course, I was curious as to why? What exactly did I do to, all of a sudden, deserve a ban? As I came to find out, they claim that I am a “Christian nationalist.”
Now, I am a proud Christian, but I thought it was a bit strange that a media hit was put on me for the sole reason of being a Christian — because my show is not overtly Christian. There would be nothing wrong with that, but we&#8217;re not exactly praying on the show (though maybe we should be, considering everything that&#8217;s happening in society).
Regardless, I’m not sure I have any problem with either of those terms. I definitely consider myself to be a nationalist, and I am also a Christian. However, they’re saying it in a much more sinister way. If you’re paying attention, “Christian nationalist” is everywhere as of late. Suddenly, Christianity is being smeared, libeled, and attacked. It is being presented in the same vein as white supremacy.
In February alone, major media outlets published numerous headlines about Christian nationalism. <a href="https://www.pbs.org/newshour/show/what-is-christian-nationalism-and-why-it-raises-concerns-about-threats-to-democracy" target="_blank" rel="noopener">PBS</a> published “What is Christian nationalism and why it raises concerns about threats to democracy,” <a href="https://www.axios.com/2024/02/28/poll-christian-nationalism-americans-reject" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Axios</a> published “Poll: Most Americans cool to Christian nationalism as its influence grows” (apparently we’re now conducting polls and saying Christian nationalism is influential), <a href="https://www.npr.org/2024/02/28/1234304058/christian-nationalism-survey#:~:text=Christian%20nationalism's%20support%20is%20strongest%20in%20rural%20states%20A%20new,as%20Alabama%20and%20West%20Virginia." target="_blank" rel="noopener">NPR</a> published “Christian nationalism’ support is strongest in rural, conservative states,” and the <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2024/03/01/opinion/christian-nationalism.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">New York Times</a> published “Four Ways of Looking at Christian Nationalism.”
Those all came out within just the last month.
This topic is also getting the Hollywood spin, so, now, it will be pumped through our television screens. After all, once the propaganda goes out, it must get the Hollywood treatment. Apparently, the man for that job is Rob Reiner. Reiner is directing a new documentary titled “God and Country,” which puts Christian nationalism in America under the spotlight. On his press tour, one of his stops was CNN, and in <a href="https://www.cnn.com/videos/world/2024/01/30/exp-amanpour-rob-reiner-god--country-intw-013001pseg2-cnni-world.cnn" target="_blank" rel="noopener">his interview</a>, Christiane Amanpour asked Reiner why he selected Christian nationalism as his next film topic. He responded saying that over time, he has come to see how powerful and well-organized the movement has become: “I then realized that this [movement] has taken root far more and far more deeply than I had ever thought.” Reiner believes Christian nationalism is deeply embedded in society — and believes that’s a problem.
Now, I’m sure when you consider the myriad of issues facing our country today, what you’re really concerned about is that there might be some Christians who are also in love with our country. They are Christian nationalists. When you see drug dealers, illegal immigrants, crime rates, gang violence, I’m sure you’re thinking, it’s the Christians we should be afraid of. It’s an absurd idea.

I believe this is a further attempt to divide and brainwash Christians, which is something that has gone on for decades.
Once upon a time, the Bible was taught in classrooms all across the United States, and teachers and students prayed in school. Then lawsuits were filed and all that went away, beginning in the 1960s. Since then, there has been a concerted effort to divide Christians, to make them feel embarrassed about their religion. That push just continues with more force; that is exactly what is happening again with the topic of Christian nationalism.
Hollywood is notorious for supporting initiatives like this. Believe it or not, they’re even going after Justin Bieber. Bieber, as we all know, was young and innocent when he came onto the scene, so he had much potential to be a victim of evil in the industry. Granted, he went through an intense period of partying, but in 2018, he married Hailey Baldwin — and his world completely changed. He dropped the party-boy reputation, changed his ways, and started attending church. This was and still is not the kind of story that usually circulates in Hollywood.
Hollywood has never been a fan of Christianity, so church-going people in the industry simply cannot be allowed. That makes Justin’s pastor’s post on the internet no surprise. Victor Marx took to social media to make a somewhat unusual, though understandable, request, asking for Christians to pray for wisdom and protection for Justin and Hailey, for them to draw close to the Lord, because people in the limelight often face “spiritual warfare.” Hailey’s dad, Stephen, shared the post which caused more questions in the comments. He has since deleted the post, and though we don’t know more details, it is obvious that there is some kind of spiritual battle happening.
It seems that every time we get a glimpse of truth, forces unite and more evil occurs. I cannot imagine the pressure Justin is facing, and I am sure that the evil he has experienced and witnessed in the industry is weighing heavier and heavier on his heart, especially since he has strengthened his relationship with God over the years.
So, to any person going through this type of conflict, know that Christians will stand by you if and when you are ready to share the truth. We will be there with you. We will pray for you — and the entire world. Plus, people who are not Christians will thank you, even if silently, because they know that if Christians are being considered evil, something very sinister is going on.
Pay attention, pray, and encourage each other. If we can unite in our faith, we can conquer more evil together than we can alone.

From 2015 to 2016, JoJo Siwa was on the show “Dance Moms” alongside her mother, Jessalynn Siwa. While she may not have been the best dancer, viewers always wanted to see more of her on screen. She has a big, bubbly personality and was always genuinely fun to watch. After two seasons on the show, she started a YouTube channel called “It’s JoJo Siwa,” which was a kids’ show—and kids loved her. It positively exploded. She gained a huge following and even created music for kids thereafter.
In January 2020, Siwa came out as a lesbian. Now, she is back in the news with a new podcast — “JoJo Siwa Now” — and a big announcement: She wants kids.

There are, obviously, lesbians who grow up to marry women. The women I know who have chosen this route are often women who have been abused by men in some way, be it emotional or physical. They almost experience a repulsion of men for the rest of their lives. Ellen DeGeneres has talked about the sexual abuse she experienced as a child, and she has been married to a woman for many years now.
But Siwa’s story? I have seen this story and so have you: Young girls become famous and want to break away from the child-like persona that made them famous — and they go through “a phase.” Call it a coming-of-age phase, per se. These girls are the Cyndi-Lauper-type girls who “just want to have fun.” They make out with other girls at a high school or college party, but they are not really lesbians. They grow up and out of that phase. They go on to marry a man and have children.

Take, for instance, Demi Lovato, who announced she was a lesbian, then non-binary, then back to being a woman. She is now an engaged woman. Miley Cyrus was also a temporary lesbian. She said she came out to her mom when she was younger, then she came out as a lesbian after her marriage failed with Liam. Now, she is dating a man again, a drummer who came with her to the Grammys.

 And, of course, who could forget Lindsey Lohan? She was dating Samantha Ronson for a while, another child actress who became a lesbian. But, Lohan grew up, got married, and just had a child.

So why does any of this matter? It matters because it impacts our children and because it’s relevant to the next generation. This type of behavior becomes dangerous. These women are famous and because their phase is platformed, it is treated as something more than just a phase.
JoJo Siwa has recently discussed on her podcast what coming out to her mother was like. She says she was 12-years-old. That’s right: 12-years-old. Do we assign meaning to anything that a 12-year-old says? Girls’ emotions are all over the place around that age when they are going through puberty; that is why people often say girls are much more difficult than boys when they are teenagers. Factually, a 12-year-old’s brain simply is not developed. In fact, it’s not developed until age 25.
Then, in regards to the conversation between Siwa and her mom, Siwa says, “My mom actually made my coming out to her super easy.” And when “everyone kinda caught a vibe” between her and a girl who ended up becoming her first girlfriend, her mom asked her, “Do you like her as a friend or as more than a friend?” All the while, Siwa has lots of children’s eyes watching her every move, hanging on her every word. They’re the kids who fell in love with her on YouTube, so they’re still listening to her while she makes her lesbian journey sound fun and easy.
Yet many lesbians’ journeys have been far from fun and easy. The highest domestic violence statistics exist amongst the lesbian community, with 43.8% of lesbian women and 61.1% of bisexual women having experienced rape, physical violence, or stalking by an intimate partner. Those are facts, and they are facts that JoJo Siwa is not considering while she goes through what I perceive to plausibly be a phase in her life.

Plus, biologically speaking, lesbians cannot naturally have children. But on her podcast, she says she is looking for someone who is ready to have kids because she is “very near ready.” Siwa says, “That is something that I care very, very much about.” Now, I love that she is talking about wanting to have children and making that aspirational because that is actually not common in Hollywood whatsoever. However, she is clearly not considering the implications of being a lesbian and having children. To have children, she would have to go through IVF, a tremendously expensive, emotional, and painful process. The reality of IVF is not flippant; it is severe. Further, it is not guaranteed.
JoJo Siwa may just be wanting to separate herself from the big bow phase, but the lesbian phase may be one she looks back on with regret. Perhaps she will look to some of the women who have lived lives similar to hers to learn from where they are now because her current decisions are in the public consciousness. She is influencing the children who are following her by glamorizing these decisions, even if unintentionally so.

I have become fascinated with the Ruby Franke case. I have not publicly discussed the case because when the story broke months ago, I was not convinced that more commentary would be beneficial to add to the discussion, namely because this story was quite dark. However, <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4MKNgVX6u34">the statement</a> she gave in her recent court appearance was unexpected.
A Utah-based family, the Frankes became quite popular several years ago via their “8 Passengers” YouTube channel that had over two million subscribers. They fit into the YouTuber families who look like the perfect family — well-dressed, church-going (Mormon), wife, husband, six children. But by June 2020, some of those subscribers started to take note of some strange happenings in the family. Followers began criticizing Ruby Franke’s punishing techniques, they noticed the degree to which she allowed her children to prank one another, and then they realized one of her children was sleeping in a beanbag.
Viewers’ concerns escalated, and some reached out to the local Children Protection Services and went so far as to begin a petition that forcing a child to sleep in a beanbag was too harsh of a punishment. But when Franke was asked about it, she simply said the kid loved it. In 2021, Ruby and Kevin, her husband, began going to counseling with Jodie Hildebrant, a business partner who became her mentor and counselor to her children.
In August of 2022, Franke faced more criticism, this time over a lunch debacle. Her six-year-old daughter had packed a lunch but forgot it. Franke refused to take the lunch to her daughter and let her eat — a punishment obviously way too harsh for a six-year-old.
Police visited the home a few times, but it was not until August of last year when everything exploded. Franke and Hildebrant were arrested after Franke’s 12-year-old son escaped from Hildebrant’s house, ran to a neighbor, and called 911. The boy was entirely malnourished, his limbs had been duct taped, and he had visible injuries.

Hildebrant had allegedly become a counselor to the children; however, the son later told investigators that Hildebrant put cayenne pepper and honey on wounds he had from being tied with a rope. When the Department of Public Safety arrived at the residence, they found another child, her daughter, in comparable condition who had been subjected to the same mistreatment and abuse. As more details unfolded, more abuse came to light. The mother was apparently telling her children they were possessed, and the children believed their mom. Franke told her daughter that to be absolved from possession, she must be subjected to such treatment.
This entire situation is absolutely infuriating. It involves children. Precious, innocent children. It also involves a parent with a warped brain.
This week, Ruby Franke and Jodi Hildebrant were sentenced to 30 years in prison — and Franke’s not fighting it. That’s what has made this case so interesting. Typically, lawyers work to get a sentence reduced, but part of the reason this court case has moved so quickly is because she is not fighting the charges. Franke gave a rather surprising <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4MKNgVX6u34">statement in front of the court</a> — surprising in that it is uncommon — saying she believes she deserves to go to prison for what she has done.
In her statement, she explains how she got to her delusional way of living, coming to believe the church was against her, the government was against her, and in order to “save” her children, she must inflict these punishments on them. She was working with an exceptionally dark and disturbed woman, Hildebrant, but Franke says it was her own choice to believe what she heard. She apologizes to her husband, thanks the police officers, addresses her parents with sincerity, and pleads to God, saying her greatest desire is to one day stand in God’s courts, spotless and confident. She ends by confirming she knows this is “a necessary step” to learn until she is “ready to re-enter as a contributing member of our beautiful society.”
What Ruby Franke did is horrible. What her children have experienced is an absolute tragedy. Even with cases such as these, we are conditioned to watch people commit atrocious crimes and then explain why we should understand they committed them.
Everyone looks for an excuse and for understanding. But not Franke. Her response is surprising because people don’t take accountability anymore. They do not admit wrongdoing. They do not ask for healing, own their faults, and admit they deserve every single thing thrown at them.
To be clear, regardless of her statement, the victims are the children and that fact can never be removed. But it is a response worth discussing. What an interesting conclusion — and one we never see.

Keke Palmer and Darius Jackson’s relationship has been in the news since July 2023. It resurfaced in November of last year with more information, and now, in February 2024, there are still more rumblings coming from these two. My assessment is and always has been that this was an incredibly toxic relationship. But regardless of its toxicity, there are some actions that will never be acceptable in any relationship.
The private life of Palmer and Jackson started to become public in July 2023 when Palmer went to a concert in Las Vegas and was pulled on stage to dance with Usher. Her then-boyfriend, Jackson, took to X to declare his disapproval of her provocative behavior and revealing outfit. By this point, the two already shared a child, and she had given birth just a few months prior.

Then, in November, a month after separating, Palmer released shocking surveillance camera footage of who appears to be her ex, Jackson, beating her in her own home. At the time of the footage release, she was seeking a restraining order and full custody of their then eight-month-old son. Jackson reportedly trespassed into Palmer’s home without her knowledge nor her consent. This is still working its way through the court process, but the behavior she reported of him is beyond despicable.

She shared stills of the footage from her filings in court at the time. In them, Jackson first looks to be forcing her in a certain direction against her will, then has his hand in the air as she loses her balance and falls over the couch, putting her hands up in a defenseless position.

In the court <a href="https://www.today.com/parents/keke-palmer-custody-son-darius-jackson-rcna124585" target="_blank" rel="noopener">filings</a>, she states, “The abuse during our relationship was not just physical, but emotional and manipulative. Darius would ‘love bomb’ me and make me feel like I was the most important woman in the world, only to get extremely distant and cold over a perceived insult to him.” Palmer has repeated that Jackson was very jealous throughout their entire relationship. While this was obviously an incredibly toxic relationship, this abuse was certainly not Keke Palmer’s fault. 
Then, at the beginning of this month, Jackson took to X again, this time, with a message to all the dads who have given up custody:

In another post, he continued, giving advice to make sure God is the center of your relationship:

If you separated these words from the situation he has currently found himself in — having beaten Keke Palmer — I would affirm that this is amazing advice. But you do not get to suddenly become a pastor after we have all seen evidence of horrific footage of you. Even in households of atheists, men know not to put their hands on women. To claim you were beating your significant other because you were not following the Good Book and the Lord? There is no excuse — ever. Let’s not hide behind God. Let’s not turn into a pastor who suddenly has sage words for other men.
I am a firm believer that it is important to weigh in when something goes against your values — so it is important to state this is wrong. This is a situation that should be discussed, not because anyone is prying into the private lives of people (this is information that has been made public), but because it’s important to take a moral position with actual values. This situation includes two people who clearly did not respect each other, nor did they understand who the other was. Toxicity seeped into their relationship, and they never should have been matched in the first place. But no woman should ever go through this, and no woman should suffer abuse. It is never the fault of any person when they are abused.
There is never a circumstance when it is acceptable for a man to put his hands on a woman. Never. Only a coward would ever do that.

Young women who were promised the feminist dream are now in the workforce. Growing up, they were told, “You can be just like men. Male parity is what we want! We want to work 40 hours a week. You are going to love it.” But now, at not-so-long last, the women who grew up hearing these platitudes are finding out that the feminist glory, as it was made out to be, is not all that glorious — and they aren’t actually loving it. Gez Z women in particular have found they aren’t making much money, they’re working a lot of hours, and they don’t have any time for themselves.
I’ve been extensively discussing <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/the-vulnerability-that-will-plague-generation-tiktoks-future">the realization Gen Z</a> is coming to, and in yet another TikTok, this topic came to my attention once again. Eliza (<a href="https://www.tiktok.com/@supposedlyasystem">@supposedlyasystem</a>) has recently shared her feelings with the Internet (because that’s what you’re supposed to do on social media these days), and she has <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/three-new-years-resolutions-for-women-on-the-internet">trauma dumped</a> about having to work 40 hours a week while making very little money. She carries on with this monologue for right at two minutes while crying as she does so. In her TikTok, she professes:

Like, I get off work at 5:30, I come home and I am just so tired. I’m so tired… I don’t want to do that anymore, right? I don’t care how poor and miserable I would have to be, but I literally can’t have a place to live without this. You know, like, I don’t know what to do. I’m not made for this. </blockquote>

A lot of people have made fun of her for this video, but Eliza isn’t the only Gen Zer who has expressed these exact feelings — so I think we should answer her question. She is asking, why? Why is this her circumstance? Well, the answer, sweetheart, is that the big, bold, bad feminists who came before you insisted that women could be just like men.
Women are obviously not just like men; biologically, men are wired differently. We are symbiotic with men; however, our roles in life are not meant to be the same. But feminists came along and brainwashed people into believing women were no different than men and could, in fact, be just like them: Take birth control and you won’t get pregnant! they said. Go to work and be like the men! they proclaimed. Work alongside your male counterparts.

Fast forward to 2024 and women are finally realizing that perhaps Mother Nature had some things right. Despite this dream of freedom they were sold, women are actually kind of miserable living this “dream.” Maybe, just maybe, the ability to birth children alongside the inclination of knowing how to raise them might be a more natural route for women. I, for example, know what to do with my children in a way that does not come as naturally to my husband. Caring for children, especially as infants, does not come naturally to men in the way it does to women. Men are biologically predisposed to do the same job day in and day out, whereas women innately know how to manage a household. They can multitask while caring for a screaming child because we are designed in that way with that capability.
Unfortunately, women are still not yet willing to let go of the feminist narrative — a narrative that is not making women happy today. This “dream” may help pay the bare minimum bills, but before the explosion of second-wave feminism, the young women who are now finding it difficult to keep up a 40-hour work week likely would have, instead, found a partner, gotten married, and had kids. The husband would have made enough to support the household because women were not yet in the labor force contributing to supporting an entire family. That was a different existence in a different world. But the feminists said that was a prison.
If you ask me, quite frankly, women were happier. My grandmother, who stayed home and raised her kids, wasn’t crying every day about the stresses of raising children. She made dinner every night, managed the household, and cared for her family — all of which made her whole. When I spend the entire day with my three children, I am exhausted but deeply rewarded. Doing that is more rewarding than any feedback received in the climate of an office.
Is it every single woman who feels as overwhelmed as the trauma dumping Gen Zers? No, but in my view, a large majority of women are dissatisfied with their lives yet unwilling to look at the fact that it is our own fault for continuing to embrace this radical feminist movement. This movement started before we were born and while its creation is not our fault, continuing to hold onto it is. Furthermore, we shouldn’t look down on women who are recognizing this “dream” for what it actually is. We should, instead, all be heading in their direction.

The NFL has made the entire 2023 &#8211; 2024 football season about <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/taylor-swift-has-the-maturity-of-a-15-year-old-girl" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Taylor Swift</a>. Meanwhile, NFL fans — actual NFL fans — are and have been understandably upset about it. All these people want to do is watch some football, but they’ve been promulgated all season with constant camera pans to Swift.
Obviously, Travis Kelce is having a tremendous season, but early in the season when Swift started making appearances at Kelce’s games, the NFL quickly realized they could make money off her. Since the media are obsessed with Swift, that inevitably meant the NFL showing her at games would get more people watching — not for the actual game but for this love story unfolding between Swift and Kelce.
So at last Sunday night’s Kansas City Chiefs playoff game, Taylor Swift was caught on camera appearing to mouth, “Go away, please.”
To this, I say: Fair.

Now, this is Taylor Swift, and she is arguably the most famous woman in the world next to, maybe, the likes of Beyoncé. Therefore, the cameras are not going to go away, especially because she is dating someone in the public eye. It’s not as though she decided to date someone out of the limelight, which she could have done. But rather than date men who are private and low-profile, she tends to date men who are famous as well. Furthermore, people are obviously invested in her love story because, after all, her music centers around how she falls in and out of love. That’s how she’s been able to connect with her audience. So there is no way the cameras are just going to go away.

But I do feel somewhat empathetic to her. She is not asking for the cameras to be on her, and I’m sure it is embarrassing for her. She wants the focus to be on Travis Kelce. Even in my own life and in a much smaller circumstance, I have politely declined when someone has asked me for a picture while at one of my husband’s speaking events. A picture with me at one of his events is not the appropriate time.
While people are upset about the focus being taken away from Kelce and put on Swift, she, too, wants the focus to be on him. And I think this is legitimate. 
But the NFL is not going to stop.
This level of attention is the high cost of being someone that famous, but I sense it annoys her. Despite the fact she is incredibly famous, she still wants to take part in things like a normal person. She doesn’t want to have this embarrassing level of attention on her as she’s learning about and getting to know his family. She wants them to like her, just like any girlfriend would. What she does not want is for Kelce’s family to just associate her with lots of cameras and floods of people coming up to her, obsessed with every moment of her life. At the end of the day, she is just a person.
In the long run, I still do not think this relationship is going to work out. These were <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/flag-on-the-play-swift-and-kelces-annoying-relationship" target="_blank" rel="noopener">my early predictions</a>, and I stand by them. She might get a baby out of this, but I do not think they are well-matched or well-suited for each other for a slew of different reasons. But, as it pertains to the NFL, they have been particularly invasive — and they’ve used Swift just to make some money. That’s the worst part.

As I’ve <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/what-you-need-to-know-about-george-soros-and-why-it-matters" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> before, George Soros has been on my radar for a long time because he continues to appear anti-democratic. As a quick refresher, Soros grew up in Hungary and was recruited into a Jewish council as a child. These councils were set up by Nazis to do their bidding against the Jews’ own people. Soros was assigned the job of confiscating Jewish property in his community. As an adult looking back on this time in his childhood, Soros has said the experience <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W1C8lwDonvg" target="_blank" rel="noopener">wasn’t difficult</a> at all. His own father has indicated George seemed to have enjoyed working with the Nazis.
As an adult, Soros is actively working to see the end of America, evidence which is namely in the form of his investments. He has funded electing liberal district attorneys into office while advocating for defunding the police. Yet he does this cunningly by giving to one cause to ensure it makes its way to another. His network of fact-checkers cover his tracks, and the CIA and FBI leave him alone. As I expected, out of his five children, his son Alexander is set to fill his father’s role.
Alexander Soros was named “successor” to George in the <a href="https://www.wsj.com/articles/george-soros-heir-son-alexander-soros-e3c4ca13" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Wall Street Journal</a> in June, just before his father turned 93 in August. George, of course, has been implementing legacy plans for how his work will continue which the Wall Street Journal documented in their first interview with Alexander, who plans to continue to fund leftist initiatives. Alexander is now overseeing “the $25 billion empire” and nonprofit Open Society Foundations (OSF). Labeled an American philanthropist and a younger son of the five Soros children, 38-year-old Alexander is also one of the World Economic Forum&#8217;s young global leaders of 2018 and beyond.

This year, he spoke on a panel at the World Economic Forum in Davos. It was a rare opportunity to be able to hear him speak, but listening to him, I was genuinely shocked. He commented on technology, democracy, institutions, and Trump. At least, he said those words somewhere in his dialogue. He also said: 
<blockquote>I don&#8217;t think that that&#8217;s the fundamental, I don&#8217;t think technology is fundamental issue in in democracy. Democracy is messy. I mean, you know, democracy is about contestation of ideas. It&#8217;s about plurality. It&#8217;s about people having different truths, actually. Now, fundamentally, how society lives together, civically, in those in those contestations is, you know, is obviously, is obviously, you know, quite, quite, you know, quite tricky.</blockquote>
And:
<blockquote>And, you know, you know, we just heard this this point about untrustworthy people and we talked about things in the United States like, you know, like checks and balances which aren&#8217;t written anywhere but are customs. And one man, Donald Trump, literally came in and just took that, you know, took that, took that all away, you know, so, you know, so, you know, but when I see this, you know, when I look at this, you know, you know, more globally regarding, regarding, you know, regarding democracy, I also say to myself, when was this great time that everybody got along so well and, you know, things were going so, so great? </blockquote>
I was shocked at what came out of his mouth — or rather, what didn’t. I never imagined that. He is one of the individuals who get up on stage at this forum — a forum built around people who think they are the brightest people in the world and everyone else is too stupid to know how to live their own lives. So they sit down, plot, and think about the future of the world together because they don’t think anyone is smart enough to know how to take care of themselves.

To be sure, Alexander Soros is a trust fund baby. However, being a trust fund baby does not automatically equal stupidity. Coming from wealth also does not mean you did not earn some of your success. Yet Alexander Soros, the man who has just inherited billions of dollars and is going to represent the future, cannot so much as string together a sentence. Absolutely nothing he said made any sense. I have listened to the clip of his panel multiple times, but his words make no sense. They’re incoherent. I actually tried to figure out how he could say so much and absolutely nothing at all within a two minute span. Even someone on drugs or hungover could get a few sentences out. But not Alexander Soros.
This would actually be hilarious if it wasn’t for the fact that Soros has inherited billions and is going to shape the future of this country. He has the ability to do that because of the wealth that his father earned, which I emphasize because he clearly isn’t capable of earning that sort of wealth on his own. Alexander Soros is a trust fund baby — and he&#8217;s not a bright one.

Last week, I gave some <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/three-new-years-resolutions-for-women-on-the-internet" target="_blank" rel="noopener">New Year’s resolutions</a>, specifically for women on the internet. One of those resolutions was to stop engaging in the trend known as “trauma dumping.” Trauma dumping, as I explained, is when women record themselves as they’re going through an emotional moment — sharing, as they say, “vulnerable stories” or private instances of their lives for all the world to see. The unspoken goal of trauma dumping is to receive praise for their vulnerability.
A recent trauma-dumping offender who came to my attention is a girl named Brittany Pietsch. Pietsch worked for a company called Cloudflare, and after receiving an invite to a virtual meeting with her superiors, she realized that she was about to get laid off because of her performance. So, before the meeting, she did her hair and makeup and set up her phone to record herself being let go — again, because of her poor performance. Pietsch was a sales rep, and when you are in sales, you have to sell. She was, however, unable to do that.
But never fear! TikTok is here. Not shockingly, <a href="https://www.tiktok.com/@brittanypeachhh">Pietsch has a TikTok</a>, so she took to her account to give her own spin on this situation, claiming she is actually the victim in this situation. That’s right: Though she was unable to do her job, she’s the victim. In this <a href="https://www.tiktok.com/@brittanypeachhh/video/7323004085043612959">nine-minute long TikTok</a>, a Cloudflare employee tells her they have finished reviewing performance evaluations and since Pietsch did not meet expectations, they have decided to part ways with her.
Pietsch holds up her hand and says, “I’m going to stop you right there.” She explains she started in August, underwent a three-month ramp, and only worked three weeks in December before Christmas. She claims to have “the highest activity” on her team and continues by saying, “I have had three contracts out, done a really great job managing my deals up until the very end.” As it turns out, those three deals did not close. Regardless, Pietsch says she just does not think ending her time with Cloudflare makes any sense.

Let me stop her right there. Cloudflare letting Pietsch go actually makes plenty of sense. In her interrupting response, she basically says a lot of nothing. What activity is she referring to? She doesn’t specify. Phone calls? Because if so, that is not how she’s being evaluated. Their performance evaluations are based on the employee’s ability to close deals, which she self-proclaims that she has not done. Despite the fact she got contracts out over this three-month ramp period, she was still unable to close a deal. Then she seems to think that because it was Christmas, Cloudflare should be more forgiving. In actuality, the end of the year is when most deals tend to close. It sounds like Pietsch just wasn’t doing her job.
But, no matter. She took to TikTok to proclaim herself the victim, using the word “traumatizing” in the caption — the same video in which she checks her appearance to make sure she looks ok. This is incredibly performative; it’s not vulnerable. Yet people still affirmed Pietsch’s sentiments about herself in their responses in the comments telling her she is, indeed, the victim. Why? Well, because it’s TikTok and also because, apparently, TikTokers just love a good trauma dump.
People have at least pointed to the fact that according to her LinkedIn, Pietsch has a history of working in sales but she doesn’t seem to be able to hold a job for longer than a year. That is evidence for any employer — who isn’t in her TikTok generation — that maybe this is an issue. Maybe Pietsch, despite being concerned with her hair and makeup, actually just is not very good at her jobs.
Generation TikTok does not understand that the internet is forever. Pietsch may have racked up the the likes and views she wanted for her TikTok, but now, when a future employer does a simple Google search for her, this video is what they will find — a video of a young woman who decided to secretly record the company she worked for because they did what most companies do: They fire people who are not performing well. Inevitably, this won’t bode well for her future. Secretly recording your company? That’s not trustworthy. Not taking ownership of your work? That’s not responsible.
The question I keep returning to as we reflect on the past and simultaneously look to the future while beginning a new year is: Are we creating better human beings? Unfortunately, I think the answer is, obviously not.

Ladies and gentlemen, I am back. The last time you saw or heard from me, I was 40 weeks pregnant, but I gave birth to my third child on November 20. I absolutely missed being here, and I am excited to catch up. And while it’s the New Year, I am the exact same Candace. Regardless of the year or where we are in it, I am going to stand by my values and instill them in my own household. I will never turn my back on saying what I believe to be true in my heart.
As we enter 2024, I am doing just that by setting some resolutions for women on the internet. Is it more of the “be brave” or “be stunning” lingo? Actually, no. It’s less of that. Less of all that. I absolutely think we should all set New Year’s resolutions, and since I have a platform and many women follow me (some who like me, scores who don’t), I thought I should outline the top three New Year’s resolutions that women on the internet should adopt for 2024. These are three simple goals for internet behavior.
<h4>1. Stop Posting Near-Naked Pictures On The Internet</h4>
I discussed this on <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/show/candace" target="_blank" rel="noopener">my show</a> the first week I was back. I think everyone can do this. I believe it in my heart of hearts. For those who are deep into the addiction of putting the parts of your body Eve sewed fig leaves for all over everyone’s screens for likes and attention, take a small step. Try doing dry January. For the whole month of January, give it a go by not putting any of those pictures on the internet.

One day, I am going to put together a rehabilitation center for these women. I really do believe this is becoming a mental disorder. I am exhausted opening my Instagram and seeing more of some women than I ever want to see. So if you could do us all a favor and put some clothes on this year, I think that would make a great first goal. In all honesty, I don’t think we’re going to be able to accomplish it, but I want to challenge everyone with the opportunity.
<h4>2. Stop Trauma Dumping</h4>
This trend has taken TikTok by storm. Some TikTokers are encouraging their followers to “trauma dump” which, according to them, involves skipping boring and uninteresting small talk to share dark, vulnerable stories instead. Others are crying in their posts with a tell-all, essentially living out private parts of their life very publicly. One TikToker in particular supports normalizing crying in your car when you think of books that make you feel sad.

Though they want to “normalize trauma dumping,” I would like to do the opposite. I would actually like to ab-normalize trauma dumping. Crying in your car because you think of a book? Is that really something we need to normalize? I think not. Let’s not do that.

Another TikToker is “living her trauma out loud” by posting what she calls a “very vulnerable video” in which she decries that her husband is getting more love from their child than she is. He comes in and comforts her while she cries and folds laundry.
What strikes me as most bothersome with this trauma dumping initiative is the camera set up. Before crying and folding laundry, the camera was set up in a perfect position to capture all this. It got her, her husband, and their child all in this moment. It’s as though they start to feel sad and think, let me set this camera up first. 
We’ve got to stop doing this. I want women to button it up this year. I want women to be more emotionally stable on the internet. Plus, I just don’t think it’s healthy to grab your phone, set it up, and cry in front of a bunch of strangers.
<h4>3. Stop Lying To Each Other</h4>
Lena Dunham comes to mind with this resolution. She is one of the great arbiters of modern feminism — the feminism that tells women they should be naked all the time and overshare to any and everyone. Here’s an example:

Dunham is in a string bikini (how she often appears in posts), and she shows more of her body than any of us want to see. But what is more disturbing than the photo of Dunham in a string bikini are the comments people leave: fire emojis, heart eyes, and compliments telling her she’s “stunning” and “the hottest.”

I don’t know why women keep doing this. I’m not sure if they’re lying because it makes them feel good — or because they feel bad for her. But I suggest doing some soul searching to figure it out because it’s just not true. It’s a lie — and we should stop lying. You are not required to comment when you see a photo of someone who looks like this on the internet. (If everyone would just follow resolution #1, that would help some with #3.) You do not have to pretend something like this post is the most amazing thing you’ve ever seen. So please don’t.
So, those are my three resolutions for women. Near-naked posts, crying in your car, lying to each other — none of these are requirements. No one is asking you to do this, so let’s stop. Let’s button it up. Let’s be honest. I think if all just met these goals, that would be stunning and that would be brave.
Here’s to 2024. Let&#8217;s give it our best shot.

Three New Year’s Resolutions For Women On The Internet

Some women are toxic. That’s not a fashionable statement to make, especially within the last ten years, but just because it’s not fashionable, doesn’t mean it isn’t true. In fact, if it isn’t fashionable to say, that probably means it is more likely to be true. Over the last two decades, we have moved into fully existing under a matriarchy that is destroying what is traditional and what actually makes women happy, such as getting married and building a family. Today, women who aspire to a traditional way of life are looked down upon: &#8220;Don’t you just want to be a free woman? You don’t need a man. All the single ladies!&#8221; We all know the song — after all, it’s empowering and catchy. And some women who do marry get mixed up with the wrong messaging and start to think their life would be better alone.
When people get divorced, they are essentially saying they don’t think they made the right decision when they got married. A breakup can end in heartbreak, but a divorce ends in the severing of a covenant relationship. Divorce is final. Yet it is a decision made after what should have already been considered forever and final: marriage. But every once in a while, someone ties the knot, regrets getting married, gets divorced, and then regrets untying the knot. Rather than think the marriage was the wrong choice, they realize it was the divorce that was wrong  — like Samantha Lee, <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YPublGccNbY" target="_blank" rel="noopener">who has spoken out</a> about how outsiders influenced her decision to divorce her husband. Lee was formerly married to R&amp;B singer Tyrese Gibson, who I used to listen to quite a bit when I was growing up. The couple married in 2017, happily welcomed a daughter in 2018, and promptly announced their divorce in December 2020. Lee and Gibson were married three years, called it quits, and then spent the next two years going through a divorce. According to both of them, it was an ugly situation. Now, after some time has passed, she has some regret about the divorce.

Lee has explained in interviews that it’s important to have wise counsel in your life because if she had been talking to different people at that time, she would not have made the decision to divorce him. She says, “Women, specifically, there will be moments where they’ll be like, ‘I’m ready to be done.’ … And because you don’t have a certain person in your life to check you and say, ‘Sis, what about this? What about these strengths? What about what he’s not doing?’ Those types of things. That can get you thinking about the positive aspects of this person that you  may not be thinking about when you’re upset. You’re only thinking about what you’re mad about. You’re not thinking about all the other positive aspects of this person. In those moments, you need somebody to be the person for that person.” She listened to the wrong voices and the wrong advice — and now, she regrets it.

Likely, the women surrounding her at the time were largely liberal, spouting never-ending liberal messages from the mainstream media. They were likely in the same climate of toxic women who shout about earning their own money and living independently, climbing the career ladder, and avoiding any familial aspirations. Lee and Gibson were married for three years; they should have still been in the honeymoon phase. But rather than work on her marriage, she listened to her girlfriends who were making her feel “empowered.” In turn, Gibson has called her heartless, and he certainly hasn’t forgiven her. According to him, their relationship was not abusive and there was no reason for her to abruptly pack up their one-year-old child and leave — other than the fact of there being ill-advised women in her ear flanked alongside a poisonous culture.
While divorce is not necessarily a political topic, it is evidence of what happens if you follow liberal ideologies, if you buy into feminism when you are young, and if you carry on with it for too long. When you’re in your 20s, the days are long; you think you’re going to be young forever and you have all the time in the world to figure out if and when you want a family. But 30 will smack you in the face. It’s a completely different ballgame. Inevitably, women begin to feel a tug to settle down and have a family. And the difference between your life and prospects in your 20s as a young woman compared with your life and prospects in your 30s is quite dramatic.
Young women need to pay attention to these cultural examples. Pay attention to the women who make you feel empowered when you’re listening to their music, whether it’s Beyoncé, Taylor Swift (who everyone loves except me), or whomever. First, look at their lives and see whether their music is reflected in their lives. Next, if it’s not, separate their music from their life. If it is, setting aside their wealth, assess if it’s reflected in a positive manner. Do you believe they are actually happy and whole? Or do their songs just condition listeners to believe freedom will render happiness?
In reality, it is discipline that will render you freedom. Water the grass where you stand, which will make you happier in the future. That’s an important message for women everywhere.

An Important Message To Women Everywhere

Last week, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/episode/the-shocking-truth-about-trans-surgery-briana-ivy-s-story3" target="_blank" rel="noopener">I interviewed 22-year-old Briana Ivy</a>, who was born a male, began taking hormones at 15, and eventually went on to have sex reassignment surgery. I have never been more proud or more haunted by any interview I have conducted before. 
Briana’s story is not one that is broadcast in mainstream media, nor is it one that gender clinics want anyone to share. But in the face of criticism, threats, and general pushback, Briana is bravely telling his story so children and teenagers (and their parents) who are considering a route to becoming trans can understand what real life will look like. He and his family trusted the path doctors paved and social media posts painted that trans life look like everything Briana had hoped for. What they didn’t see were the tragic stories of people who had gone down the path of hormones, blockers, and surgeries — life behind the Instagram grid, the TikTok video, and the social media posts. Briana bravely shared heartbreaking details of his experience to save others from the same hurt. 
Going into this interview, I recognized it would come with tremendous consequence to Briana, but I also believed it is going to put him on a path of being a figure for those who are searching for help and need to hear this story. We started by discussing his childhood, and though Briana’s biological parents had a rather tumultuous split, his mother remarried (twice) and his now-stepfather has been a part of his transitioning process since the beginning. It was actually the experiences Briana incurred at school that were the cruelest, especially with other boys. Briana felt safest befriending girls, and at around 6 and 7, he remembers feeling uncomfortable “just being lumped in with other boys” because he was a very feminine young boy.

This made me think of one boy in particular I went to school with, and he played with dolls and stuck with the girls; today, he is a married gay man. So I asked Briana what made him think he wasn’t just gay but maybe trans. Briana explained that he felt “disgusted by the thought of growing up as a feminine man” and couldn’t envision himself as an adult gay male because “it just felt gross.” However, he did not know what being trans even was until he was about 12 or 13 and saw Jazz Jennings on television. He found more trans adults on YouTube and decided to write his family (mother, step-father, and sister) a letter to explain he thought he was transgender. They were receptive to this because, as he reveals later in the interview, Briana was so incredibly unhappy. He felt an immense amount of shame, saying, “I just didn’t like anything really about me.” So, they visited a gender clinic for guidance.

Briana was 14 when he went to the clinic, where he met with a clinical social worker for a quick 30-minute meeting, met with a doctor next, and then walked home with a prescription for hormones. It was that quick and simple. No meeting with a therapist, no unpack-your-childhood conversation, no decision-waiting period. Briana was prescribed a testosterone blocker medication and injection and saw his body change very quickly. I asked Briana how he felt during the first year of seeing those changes. He explained, “I felt good. I felt like I was finally being fully feminine in a way that I felt like would be more acceptable to people.” But after moving, changing schools, discussing restroom choices with school administration, and continued bullying, Briana’s mental health was not getting better. Even at 17, when he started passing as female (he describes “passing” to be when people begin recognizing you to be the opposite gender), his mental health was still declining. “The way I felt about myself didn’t get better. I was still so desperate for something.” He explains that people were no longer even questioning if he was female, yet he still felt a void. It was then that Briana says he became desperate for surgical intervention.
Briana turned to social media and found that surgery was considered an unspoken status symbol. The trans females who looked happiest were the ones who had every procedure performed. They appeared to live better lives, and it seemed as though people saw them the way they wanted to be seen. “They had made it,” Briana told me. He thought that is what he was missing because perhaps he hadn’t transitioned enough — so he kept going. Briana and I touched on the fact that people can appear happy on their highlight reel and reality is quite different, as Briana has found to be true. Briana talked with his doctor at the clinic, and he, his mom, and his stepdad were all reassured that Briana would now look like a biological female. He was told that the younger and faster he did the surgeries, the faster he would be considered a real female.
Briana actually found a surgeon for bottom surgery on TikTok, Dr. Gallagher, but after his first consultation, Dr. Gallagher relocated to Florida and referred him to Dr. Joshua Roth. He was given options for his surgery on “a blue piece of paper and it was like taking an order.” He chose the option that was presented as a “miracle.” After they submitted for insurance approval which came back in two weeks, the surgery date was booked just a few months later. Briana is not oblivious to the fact that some people apply for insurance coverage who are in life or death situations and do not receive approval that quickly, if at all. He is also aware that he is now a lifelong patient, as he will forever be on hormones since his body cannot make the ones it&#8217;s now dependent on.
In our conversation, Briana goes into great detail involving the 7-hour surgery. During his hospital stay, other doctors and residents came to his room, which Briana recalls: “I remember there was an intense fascination with what was being done to me. … [Residents and nurses] would look at me. They would tell me, ‘This is so cool. We’ve never seen someone as young as you have this done. We’ve never seen this surgery done here.’ … Dr. Roth would bring in multiple residents to just watch me while I was sitting there, and I couldn’t walk. I couldn’t move. I was in so much pain.”  That pain resulted in numerous complications (including DVT, blood clots, epidural, inability to walk), months-long excruciatingly painful aftermath, and the heartbreaking news that his body had rejected the surgery. Dr. Roth sent Briana to other doctors to begin rectifying the complication, and those doctors refused to operate, telling Briana he could experience worse complications or not make it through at all. After numerous attempts to get in contact with Dr. Roth, Briana has no longer been able to reach him.
Briana was used like a science project, and I cannot fathom the pain and grief that he, his mother, and family have been through. He is only 22-years-old, but Briana can see the truth now and he hopes to be able to have his story reach others before they fall victim to the lies he was told and false promises he was given. Briana told me, “When you go into the gender clinic and they’ll tell you if you want to look good and be treated better, start now. Start young. But then you give up everything.”
In recent years, Briana has had the desire to begin a family, but he cannot have children now. He told me, “No one who has ever started this as a kid is willing to explain what you actually give up to do this and the lies that they’ll tell you and the fact that doctors and these gender clinics will take vulnerable children and families and they’ll sell them a promise because they’re desperate.” The entire system preyed on Briana — and it failed him. He explains in the interview that he cannot take legal action unless other doctors decide if he can pursue action. (A board of certified surgeons must decide if they believe the surgery was, indeed, experimental.)
Though Briana has experienced loss, tragedy, pain, and grief, he is using his story to help others by telling the truth. Retelling this story was hard for Briana, but he is taking the chance to give people truth. He told me that even within the last few weeks, he was at a low point and turned to God, who he had shut out for a long time. He said he needed the Lord more than ever, and from that day forward, he’s known he has the chance to turn this into something good. Unlike some, Briana’s story doesn’t involve parents who were just wanting to make a political statement with their trans kid. They were parents who were trying to help their child but didn’t know what to do. And he wants to help those parents: “It’s parents that just want their kid to feel normal because they don’t want to lose their kid. They don’t know what to do. And that was my family. And I’m glad that I can show them that there is no need to let these doctors tell you to rush this because you just cannot go back.”
I believe the whole world is going to open for Briana Ivy because he is being exceptionally brave, and it usually takes bravery first for things to change.

I Have Never Been More Proud Or Haunted By An Interview: Briana Ivy’s Story

Until a few weeks ago, I had never even seen <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2TmejMmwPhw" target="_blank" rel="noopener">the Whatever podcast</a>, and my limited knowledge of this show was that the host, Brian Atlas, sits with young women to discuss dating and relationships, and he occasionally invites a conservative to join the conversation. I found out that for the particular episode I was booked for, I would be sitting in a circle with sex workers to discuss their jobs. Not only did I not understand why I had been booked on the show, but I was also dreading the whole ordeal. I didn’t really think I was a fit for a show to sit across from women who would be talking about their OnlyFans careers and various sex work they do. I thought I would feel a lot of anger sitting with them, but, as it turns out, anger is not what I felt for these proud prostitutes.
When I sat down with these ladies, they each described what they did for a living. One was a singer and leans more conservative, but this was definitely not the case for the others. Two were on OnlyFans and two were prostitutes who claimed they save marriages because of the work they do as prostitutes and sex therapists. That’s correct. They believe they sleep with women’s husbands to save marriages.

One legal prostitute shared with the table that she has found it difficult to date and she’s “run into a lot of insecure men” because they “can’t handle” what she does for work. Brian interjected to clarify her statement, asking if the men were insecure or if they didn’t want to date her because she is currently an active prostitute. She explained she hasn’t been dating anyone while working at the brothels, the Bunny Ranch, or the Mustang Ranch; she has only dated between jobs. When she was pressed on what makes these men insecure, she said her exes would cry about her going into work at the strip club: “I’ve had guys try to control, like, what I wear and say that I can’t work at strip clubs or do OnlyFans or whatever.” Brian interjected again: “Is it because they’re insecure or is that just them having boundaries and standards?” Her argument was that these men knew what she did for a living when they met, so if they had a problem with it, they shouldn’t have gotten involved with her in the first place.
I realized in the middle of this conversation that while I had thought I was going to feel angry sitting with these women, I actually just felt a tremendous amount of sadness for them. This particular girl is 22 years old, and she sleeps with five to ten men a night, and I listened to her justify why her relationships are not working out — because, in her eyes, the men dating her are insecure — and it’s heartbreaking. She can’t see the reason these men don’t want her engaging in this type of work is that they care about her. They want to see her get out of this lifestyle. While a man probably shouldn’t have been drawn to her in the first place considering her line of work, the point is that once they try to get her out, she sees it as an indicator that he is insecure, not that he thinks she’s better than the career she has.
Unsurprisingly, money was an underlying theme in their reasoning for doing this work. Furthermore, they speak derogatively about men in general, seeming to have a fundamental lack of understanding of what a quality man even is and where to find him. Later in the interview, the same 22-year-old who thinks her exes are insecure said she plans to get out of sex work after she’s made plenty of money. She fully plans to get married and live happily ever after. I explained that when they are older and men find out they used to be prostitutes, their prospects are going to drop dramatically in number — not because men are insecure, but because they have standards. Though men are having to work harder than generations past to find a high-quality woman — a woman who wants to stay in the home, dress conservatively, raise children, and not sleep with tons of men — for the most part, they’re willing to do it.

I was adamant that the career they have chosen is going to follow them the rest of their life. This, of course, was not a point well received at the table so this same girl created a what-if scenario regarding my own husband. She posed a scenario to me: If my husband were to come to me and ask to engage in some perverse sex act with him, what would I do? She assumes most women’s answer would end up being to go see her so she can engage in that act with him thus sparing the wife but still pleasing the husband. I explained to her that one of the beautiful parts of a marriage is that I knew who my husband was when we married, so this scenario would never happen. But she continued on, asking what I would do if “things changed and maybe he wants to start exploring.” I responded that people don’t just wake up one day and think of these things; they pick them up in some perverse world and they’re not normal. She pressed further, wanting to know what I would do and if divorce would be on the table. My answer? “I would think that that individual would probably need therapy — and not the kind that you give,” as I pointed to the woman in her 40s who says she’s a sex therapist and sleeps with other women’s husbands.
While this 22-year-old seemed to be trying to trigger me, I wasn’t triggered. Rather, I felt disturbed that she was even coming up with such a scenario. But I realized her entire reality has been warped because she works in a brothel and sees up to ten clients per day — clients who probably represent to her what all men are like. It’s never occurred to her that she is seeing the most debased, pathetic men in society. It’s not your average man who goes into a brothel. It is certainly not an average happily married man who has such perverse thoughts. Yet for her, she sees that as the norm because it has become her reality. She believes that all men are like the men she sees and want what they want.

This is where society is today, and it’s why I devote so much time to speaking about the ills of what is happening in it. This girl’s mind is utterly polluted because of what she experiences every single day. A major part of the problem is the soft pornography we have all become accustomed to; it’s what you see as you scroll through Instagram and see models showing so much skin. It’s images that are desensitizing us all. We don’t even flinch anymore when we see an ad with a woman holding a purse who is half naked because we have become accustomed to seeing this type of image absolutely everywhere.
The culmination of such a society has brought us to women who are quite literally prostituting themselves because they know they can make a quick buck. But no matter how much they make, that money is going to come at a cost — which I do not mean paradoxically. If you want to make  half a million dollars in your early to late 20s, you are going to realize later that no one wants to marry you. No one wants to have children with you. No one will respect you for the rest of your life. There is a great possibility you will end up alone — and that is deeply saddening.
At the root of all of this is a lack of faith — atheism, which goes hand-in-hand with narcissism. The focus becomes all about me and what I can do for myself. Worst of all, these women view faith as a form of perversion. In our conversation, I noticed one of the women was wearing a cross above a shirt that read “made in hell.” This particular woman was the angriest of the group, probably because she is in her early thirties and is likely realizing she has less time to find a husband and even fewer prospects. I asked her about her necklace and shirt pairing and told her I was confused. She said the stone matched her shirt and she didn’t know why she was wearing the cross: “I don’t know. I don’t think of it as religious.” In the middle of her fumbling around for an answer, she expressed that she didn’t think the cross was religious, but simply thought it was cute.

This whole episode just shows how the West has lost the battle faith-wise. People openly mock Christianity, just like this woman. When I got up to leave, I looked across the table to the 22-year-old in the orange and told her I was going to pray for her, and she rejected my prayer. She said she did not want me to pray for her. What kind of person rejects a prayer? You might not believe in prayers, and you might not pray yourself, but to openly reject a prayer? I would never reject a prayer, no matter the faith of the person who offers it.
When I left that podcast, I still prayed for those young women. They need it, and all of us need it.

Big Pharma is getting more aggressive with its tactics to gain control. Why? Because it’s threatened by the increasing number of people who are becoming more aware of their ploys. Not everyone trusts their doctors quite like they did before. COVID led to the collapse of the medical mirage, so people have questions. And people want answers. We are prodding the narrative: What exactly are its intentions with our children? What is going on with the number of vaccines? What is going on with pharmaceutical care? Big Pharma is answering by passing legislation as to whether you should — or should not — have access to your children’s medical records, decisions, and medicines. <a href="https://www.carolinacarerx.org/#:~:text=CarolinaCARE%20is%20the%20home%2Ddelivery,Learn%20about%20CarolinaCARE" target="_blank" rel="noopener">CarolinaCARE</a> is the first of what I’m sure will be many instances to come of medical professionals deeming children as adults so parents lose access to their children’s medical records.
CarolinaCARE is a home-delivery pharmacy service owned by Atrium Health and based out of North Carolina. But CarolinaCARE serves multiple states that have different laws pertaining to access to health information, which includes prescriptions, so <a href="https://www.carolinacarerx.org/Documents/CarolinaCARE_Age_of_Majority_FAQs.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">they have sent out a notice</a> to their clients because they are making a change “to remain compliant with laws in all the states CarolinaCARE services to ensure continued privacy of your child’s prescription records.” 
Privacy from whom? From you, the parent. 
Starting November 1, children who are 12- to 17-years-old must create new accounts on their website so they have access to their prescriptions and medications because their parents will no longer have access. That’s correct: Parents cannot view or manage their children’s prescriptions. Written in black and white on their notice read the following words: “The laws are intended to allow minors to receive prescription medication for sensitive issues, without worrying about how their parents may react.” If you have questions, you are encouraged to read their FAQs.

I have a lot of questions, the first being, how is that even plausible? How is it legal to essentially tell parents they are no longer parents? By making this change, CarolinaCARE is basically saying a 12-year-old is able to make a decision in terms of what prescriptions they are putting in their body. How does that happen? Children cannot do certain things until they are 18-years-old, when they become adults. So it completely defies logic that they would be able to make decisions pertaining to what prescription they should be on — prescriptions that have real-world implications. Of course, a parent should be in the room with a doctor when deciding whether or not their children should be on medication because parents are thinking about their child’s future. Adults can consider the possible impact and effects of prescriptions, whereas a child does not yet have that capability. That’s why they are children and why children have parents. Why would they do this?
My best guess is that because many adults are recognizing they should have never been put on drugs as a child, the move is going to be to take the medical decision-making power away from those adults. There has been public debate among adults about having been put on medications as a child, whether it be medications like Adderall or medications to transition them. More and more adults are openly speaking out against drugs, saying they have ruined their lives. Big Pharma knows that once people become adults, they can see that more clearly — because they aren’t 12.

Yet CarolinaCARE is essentially signaling to 12-year-olds that they are now adults and can make adult decisions. So if a child professes they feel as though they are in the wrong body, a doctor could give that child prescription drugs to transition — drugs that will render that child infertile in their adult years. These are the same drugs given to pedophiles to castrate them. But children are not going to know that because they exist and think in the moment. They don’t consider what their adult life might be like; they don’t even consider what the next day will be like. They will fall prey to believing they can feel safer from their parents in making these decisions alone. 
To make matters worse (if that’s even possible), the state is getting involved because they want to further this. If this is successful and they are allowed to treat 12-year-olds as though they are adults and put them on medications that can potentially harm them in the future, they are inevitably going to be inundated with massive lawsuits against CarolinaCARE in the years to come. And I hope that there are massive lawsuits because this is absolutely despicable.
If a child turns 12 after November 1, this change will automatically take place. While this is hard news to digest, it’s news you need to be aware of, especially if you are a parent. Because while CarolinaCARE may only be in certain states now, it will be coming to a state near you.
