Candace Cameron Bure is weighing in on the debate raging in Hollywood over the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the entertainment industry.

The 47-year-old “Full House” actress said she has “no intention” of using the technology in any upcoming projects.

“I’ll be keeping my eye on it for sure,” she told Fox News Digital during an interview published Thursday. “I think it’s something that’s a little frightening to me … at the core of it.”

“However, we are using wonderful writers to write our movies, and I have no intention of using or touching AI when it comes to our filmmaking and writing scripts.”

While she won’t be using AI to create content, Bure did say last November that the projects she’s working on for Great American Family (GAC) will honor “faith, family, and country,” something that she’s found lacking in Hollywood lately.

“I think we want to create an oasis in a cultural desert,” Bure told Fox News at the time, while GAC CEO Bill Abbott agreed.

He said, “I think that the culture overall needs it. And there is just so little content out there that serves family and faith and is done in a quality way. And so that is a very big part of what our mission is and what we do, and the demand is huge.”

Bure had previously caused a stir, leaving The Hallmark Channel for GAC. “My heart wants to tell stories that have more meaning and purpose and depth behind them,” Bure told The Wall Street Journal during a 2022 interview. “I knew that the people behind Great American Family were Christians that love the Lord and wanted to promote faith programming and good family entertainment.”

Her move came not long after Hallmark announced its first-ever Christmas film featuring a same-sex relationship. Bure and Abbott also addressed whether that was a possibility at GAC.

“I think that Great American Family will keep traditional marriage at the core,” Bure said
