On Tuesday morning, calling in to Fox and Friends (aka Trump Central Broadcasting) Donald Trump, bending over his massive girth to stoop as low as he could go, accused Ted Cruz’s father, Rafael, of being involved with the JFK assassination.
Trump referred to the National Enquirer (aka National Trumpquirer) story that accused Cruz’s father of involvement in the crime. The Enquirer trumpeted, “Ted Cruz Father Linked To JFK Assassination!” The rag wrote breathlessly:
Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz’s Cuban-born dad was caught on camera in New Orleans — alongside Lee Harvey Oswald — just three months before the assassin killed President John F. Kennedy! … The ENQUIRER has the disturbing photographic evidence that was buried in secret U.S. government files, with Rafael Cruz, now 77, palling around with the man who murdered America’s 35th president!
On Fox, Trump blustered:
You know, there’s a whole thing and, you know, his father was with Lee Harvey Oswald prior to Oswald’s being — you know, shot. I mean, the whole thing is ridiculous. What is this, right prior to his being shot, and nobody brings it up. They don’t even talk about that. That was reported and nobody talks about it. But I think it’s horrible. I think it’s absolutely horrible that a man can go and do that.
He added, “I mean, what was he doing — what was he doing with Lee Harvey Oswald shortly before the death — before the shooting? It’s horrible.”
“What is this, right prior to his being shot, and nobody brings it up. They don’t even talk about that.”

Of course, none of the show’s hosts even bothered to challenge Trump on his ridiculous assertion, which is par for the course for the show, which has lathered Trump for months.
