If you thought the deranged women who wore “pussy hats” to protest Donald Trump had reached the depths of absurdity, think again; “Nano,” a 20-year-old Norwegian woman, has become famous after declaring that she is, indeed, a cat.
Starring in a YouTube video that has elicited over four million views, Nano dons large cat ears, a tail, pink fluffy paws, and crawls around purring.
Nano proclaims that she knew at the age of 16 that she was a cat, claiming, “I realized I was a cat when I was 16 when doctors and psychologists found out what was ‘the thing’ with me. Under my birth there was a genetic defect . . . I was born the wrong species.” She meows, hisses at dogs, hates water, and claims a heightened sense of smell and hearing as well as the capacity to see in the dark. She stated she could see, “Suitcases rolling on the ground,” hear, “Keys clinking in pockets. People with ice crampons under their shoes.” In the video she hissed, adding, “There is a dog over there. I hiss when meeting dogs in the street. It’s because of their behavior and my instinct automatically reacts by hissing.”
Nano admitted she has never managed to catch a mouse.
Family Research Council’s Peter Sprigg pointed out to LifeSiteNews. “Given today’s ‘identity politics,’ I would not be surprised if she is serious. Of course, the temptation is to say, ‘This is obviously ridiculous.’ You could look at the makeup of her DNA and at the anatomy of her body and know that she is a human being, not a cat. But the exact same thing could be said about a man who claims to be a woman (or vice versa), and yet today’s political correctness dictates that we treat the latter claim with deadly earnestness.”
Nano seems to be deadly earnest; she asserted, “My psychologist told me I can grow out of it, but I doubt it. I think I will be cat all my life.”
