On Saturday, a virulently anti-Semitic and anti-Israel Irish lawyer who has accused Israel of genocide and has justified terrorism against the Jewish state went nuts on an Air India flight from Mumbai to London, verbally attacking the cabin crew with nasty and racist rhetoric.
Simone O’Broin, 50, was arrested when the plane arrived at London’s Heathrow Airport “on suspicion of racially aggravated public order, common assault, and drunk and disorderly,” according to London’s Metropolitan Police.
O’ Broin’s rant went like this:
You treat business class passengers like that? You know, international criminal lawyers for the Palestinian people who are actually working for you … I’m working for all your people, the f***ing Rohingya … the f***ing people of all Asia, for you, international criminal lawyer. Don’t get any money for it by the way. But you won’t give me a f***ing glass of wine, is that correct? Also, also, also, leader of the f***ing boycott movement, if I say boycott f***ing Air India, done. Do you understand me? Do you understand me? You can’t give me a wee bottle of wine?
Turning to another cabin crew member and assuming a report was being written about her, she continued ranting, “F*** off! I’m a f***ing international criminal lawyer and a barrister. You will be p***ed on in court!’
She then called the female crewmember an “Indian f***ing moneygrabbing b*****d’ before she returned to her seat, shouting that she would “turn you inside f***ing out, you f***ing stupid c***s! Give me a bottle of wine and game over!”
One passenger on the plane told The Daily Mail:
I’ve never known anyone go off like that for as long as she did. She was saying she was an international lawyer who’d worked in Gaza and the Palestinian strip. She was saying that she could put all of us in jail. She was scary and out of control. It was exhausting. We were too frightened to sleep, at one point I was worried about the plane crashing it got so out of hand. My wife and I were so terrified that we held hands and my wife told me not to look at her.
In October 2011, O’Broin wrote that Israel was guilty of genocide, quoting (of course) the Independent Fact Finding Committee on Gaza (established by the League of Arab States).
She seemingly justified terrorism in 2012, when she wrote of the “legitimacy of the Palestinian reaction … All struggles to date – including that of the Native Americans, the Algerians under the French, the Vietnamese and the South Africans under apartheid – used both violent and non-violent methods in their struggles … While today the Palestinian people and their international supporters are adopting many innovative methods of non-violent struggle, it is important to emphasize that the Palestinians are indeed a group struggling for self-determination against a colonial, racist regime. The mainstream media’s presentation of information, especially its focus on Palestinian violence, is often manipulated to encourage viewers to associate ‘terrorism’ with the victims of oppressive regimes, who are legitimately resisting.”
