The abortion enthusiast Samantha Bee cares so much about children being separated from their families, she will be dedicating her entire Christmas special this year to immigrants that have been detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers.
In her latest promo for the special, the woman who publicly called the First Daughter a “c***” announced that she will be spending her “Christmas on ICE.” You get the pun, right?
“You know, Christmas is a time for families, even those families that we’ve separated. Which is why I’m spending this Christmas on ICE, get it?” Samantha Bee says.
Bee goes on to say that the special will raise funds to reunite immigrant families that have been separated by ICE.
“Our special will raise money to help bring immigrant families back together, and we’ll have all the traditions you’ve come to expect–joy, the border wall, special guests, the birth of the Christ child,” she says.
On that “birth of the Christ child” bit, Bee features a Nativity scene being raided by ICE agent action figures. “Don’t answer the door!” Bee says.
“And I’m gonna do it all while actually ice skating,” she continues. “No one knows when we’ll hit rock bottom, so this will be a festive reminder that we f**ked over thousands of immigrants and we still haven’t fixed it yet. Merry Christmas!”
The canard that the Holy Family in the Nativity scene mirrors that of immigrant families is a blatant falsity of propaganda that leftists have been pushing throughout the Trump administration. This past July, during the border controversy, a Church in Indianapolis featured an actual set that put Jesus, Mary, and Joseph behind a cage. On their Twitter page, the church declared, “On our lawn tonight we placed The Holy Family…in #ICE detention.” Accompanying the display is a sign saying #EveryFamilyIsHoly, which is then translated into Spanish as, #CadaFamiliaEsSagrada.
During the Syrian refugee crisis, SJWs on Twitter were spreading the lie that “Jesus was a refugee” at the time of the Nativity. The Daily Wire’s Frank Camp debunked that like figgy pudding in a fruit cake:
Tradition has long-held that the reason Mary and Joseph were sheltered in a manger was because there was “no room at the inn.” This is a mistranslation of sorts, and as seen above in the New International Version (NIV) of the New Testament, the Greek word “kataluma” is more accurately translated as “guest room.”
Regardless of exact meaning, the reason Mary and Joseph couldn’t find a room — be it a guest room, or a room at an inn — was likely because the town of Bethlehem was filled to the brim with travelers returning home for the census. They weren’t turned away because they were refugees fleeing a war-torn nation.
Also, Samantha Bee is in no position to lament about children being separated from their families on Christmas. Not only is the comedienne pro-choice, she once defended partial-birth abortion on her show.
“It’s a non-medical term the National Right to Life Committee made up in the 90s for a procedure that was outlawed in 2003 by the Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act. … Chris Wallace conflated partial-birth abortion, which doesn’t exist, with late-term abortion, which does — rarely,” she said in 2016.
