In a new video from Planned Parenthood trumpeting that for the first time in 50 years, a doctor, Leanna Wen, will serve as the organization’s president, Wen manages to utter what may be the most hypocritical statement of any public figure in years, boasting she fights for the “most vulnerable” in our society.
The video begins with Wen relating that she came from China with her parents when she was eight years old. Saying her family was dependent on Medicaid and food stamps “and also on Planned Parenthood for health care,” Wen continues by claiming she became an ER doctor because she “never wanted to turn any patients away.”
Wen says, enraged, that she saw a woman die from a botched home abortion that occurred because she was “too scared to seek medical care … she died because of a failure in our system.”
Wen states, “I wanted to fight for our most vulnerable individuals on a bigger scale.”
Noting that she became the health commissioner for Baltimore, Maryland, Wen brags, “I am the doctor for the city.”
Wen later pontificates: “Health care has to be understood as a fundamental human right.” Then, the kicker: “Having a physician as the head of Planned Parenthood, it is a sign that what we are doing is mainstream medical care. Why is it not?”
The roughly 7,000,000 babies that have been slaughtered by Planned Parenthood since it was founded in 1916 would have one answer for this physician endorsing their murder, and it’s a phrase that physicians have been asserting for centuries:
“First, do no harm.”
