Texas Republican Rep. Louie Gohmert went off on FBI agent Peter Strzok during a Congressional hearing on Thursday, slamming him for doing significant damage to the FBI and Justice Department.
Gohmert slammed Strzok’s claim that he did not have any political bias against Donald Trump and then harshly criticized Strzok’s character, decrying him as a “liar” and philanderer.
“The disgrace is what [Strzok] has done to our justice system!” Gohmert yelled. “There is the disgrace!”
“I’ve talked to FBI agents across the country,” Gohmert told Strzok. “You’ve embarrassed them, you’ve embarrassed yourself.”
“I can’t help but wonder when I see you looking there with a little smirk — how many times did you look so innocently into your wife’s eye and lie to her about Lisa Page?” Gohmert asked Strzok during an embarrassing hearing for Strzok.
“The credibility of the witness is always an issue,” Gohmert said.
