Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA), whose unhinged statements about Donald Trump represent only the tip of the iceberg of her malevolence, received a standing ovation from the MTV Awards audience on Sunday as she presented the award for “Best Fight Against The System” to the film, Hidden Figures.
Waters fighting the system? That’s hilarious. As The Washington Free Beacon reported, her daughter, Karen Waters, Karen earned $650,000 since 2006 running Citizens for Waters, which raised funds for her mother’s election committee; The Blaze reported that in 2016, Waters’ campaign brought in nearly $300,000 from groups buying her endorsement, including Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) paying Waters $30,000 last year for her endorsement. Additionally, two groups in Los Angeles paid Waters $35,000 each so she would endorse a transportation initiative in the city.
The Blaze also noted: “The Citizens for Responsibly and Ethics in Washington, a left-leaning government watchdog, has listed Waters, a 13-term congresswomen, to their list of “most corrupt” politicians four times: 2005, 2006, 2009 and 2011.”
Waters was charged with three counts of ethics violations in 2010 for obtaining secure federal bailout funds for a bank in which her husband held stocks.
