Golf is one of the few remaining sports that continues to honor strong etiquette codes, including things like not being a jerk when a golfer is trying to make a shot. At the Farmer’s Insurance Open at Torrey Pines in San Diego on Sunday, one fan decided to violate that code while Tiger Woods was trying to make a key putt for birdie.
In the middle of his backswing, someone from the crowd yelled out, “Get in the hole!”
Woods missed the putt and revealed his frustration afterward.
Even more annoyed was the crowd, who responded in disgust, several yelling, “Get him out of here!” and “Throw him out!”
Here’s the moment, originally posted by Sports Illustrated’s Kenny Ducey:
But as Yahoo Sports points out, the “moron” was unable to conceal his identity.
A fan in the gallery caught the dude on video just as an official came over to reprimand him. The videotaping fan was far less cordial than the official.
“Get the f*** out of here, man!” said the fan. “You knew Tiger Woods was putting. Why did you yell, ‘Get in the hole’?”

Woods, who is working on a comeback, went on to finish the tournament tied for 23rd at 3 under par.
