WATCH: GOP Lawmaker Blames Trump (?!) For Congressional Shooting

   DailyWire.com

President Donald Trump “at least partially to blame” for Wednesday’s attempted mass murder of Republican congressional representatives in Alexandria, VA, said Rep. Mark Sanford (R-SC) on Thursday.

As a guest on MSNBC’s Morning Joe, Sanford framed Trump as contributing to a coarsening of national political disagreement, and in turn facilitating left-wing mass murder attempts (moments earlier, Brzezinski blamed Trump for yesterday’s shooting):

“I we examine was Mika was talking [about] just a moment ago, I would argue that the president is at least partially – again, not in any way totally – but partially to blame for demons that have been unleashed, whether it’s what I saw at a senior center back home and people saying, ‘F you, and f you, and f you,” to each other at a senior center, a retirement center where they’re gonna see each other playing croquet the next day.”

Sanford accused Trump of inciting violence at this campaign rallies last year, neglecting to note that leftist agitators – among them professional agitators under the direction of Hillary Clinton’s campaign and the broader Democrat Party apparatus – operated as provocateurs.

Sanford pushed the narrative that Trump had incited criminal violence across his campaign events and rallies, last year. He did not comment on left-wing provocations – including professional agitators deployed by Hillary Clinton’s political apparatus and the Democrat Party – at Trump’s campaign events and rallies:

“The fact you’ve got the top guy saying, ‘Well, I wish i could hit you in the face, and if not, why don’t you and I’ll pay your legal fees,’ that’s bizarre. We ought to call it as such. What I’ve said back home, where some of these people have been frankly weird and different in a town hall meeting, I said, ‘What is going on?’ And they’ll said, ‘Look, if the guy at the top can say anything to anybody at any time, why can’t I?’ I think we all need to look for ways to learn from what happened yesterday, and say, ‘Wait a minute, this is a pause moment,’ and ask, ‘What might I do a little differently in the way I reached out to other members?’”

Over recent years, Sanford is one of the most frequently featured incumbent Republicans across news media outlets such as CNN and MSNBC.

No commentary was offered by Sanford or any other Morning Joe hosts or panelists regarding the connections between James Hodgkinson’s (the left-wing Democrat who committed yesterday’s shooting and attempted mass murder) political motivations and the daily narratives pushed by MSNBC and similarly left-wing and Democrat-aligned news media outlets.

MSNBC currently presents itself as a politically objective and non-partisan news media outlet, despite overtures in previous years in which it described itself as a “progressive” platform.
