WATCH: Democrat Amy Klobuchar Refuses To Oppose Third-Term Abortion

Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) refused to oppose late-term abortions on Friday when asked on ABC’s “The View,” where she also failed to condemn pro-infanticide remarks made by Democratic Virginia Governor Ralph Northam.

“Democrats look like they’ve gone very extreme on this issue,” co-host Meghan McCain said. “I think it’s gone from being the party of ‘safe, legal, and rare’ to having a conversation of late-term abortion up until birth with the Ralph Northam controversy. Are you for what he said or late-term abortion, or the moments he was talking about where you would keep a woman comfortable after she gave birth if she wanted to abort her third-term abortion?”

“I don’t know all his comments,” Klobuchar answered.

In January, Northam, who claims to be moderate, endorsed “the notion that a woman should be able to let an infant, born alive, die on the table if she decided she did not want the child.”

“It got a lot of publicity,” McCain fired back.

“What I’m for is women having a right to make their own decisions,” Klobuchar responded.

“But the conversation is about, you’re in favor of late-term abortion,” McCain continued to press. “Third-term abortion?”

Leftist co-host Joy Behar rushed to Klobuchar’s defense, falsely claiming that the notion that Democrats are for third-term abortions is “based on a lie, it’s not true.”

“I don’t think it should be that hard to say ‘I’m not for late-term abortion in the third trimester,'” McCain continued. “I don’t think it should be that controversial to say.”

Leftist co-host Sunny Hostin also jumped in to defend Klobuchar, falsely claiming “that argument has been debunked, actually.”

Klobuchar did not answer McCain’s question.

Northam’s January interview on WTOP went viral after he made the following remarks regarding full-term abortion:

This is why decisions such as this should be made by providers, physicians, and the mothers and fathers that are involved. When we talk about third-trimester abortions, these are done with the consent of the mother, with the consent of physicians, more than one physician by the way, and it’s done in cases where there may be severe deformities, there may be a fetus which is non-viable. So in this particular example, if the mother is in labor, I can tell you exactly what would happen, the infant would be delivered, the infant would be kept comfortable, the infant would be resuscitated if this is what the mother and the family desired, and then a discussion would ensue between the physician and the mother.

“This is pure infanticide. It’s also an argument for eugenic murder (see his comments about deformities). Northam is specifically talking about delivering an infant alive and then asking the mother whether the infant should live or not,” Daily Wire Editor-in-Chief Ben Shapiro wrote. “This is not an argument about the morning-after pill. It’s not an argument over whether a fetus feels pain. This is a statement that a fully-formed infant, born alive, ought to be murdered if the mother says the infant ought to be murdered. This is pure evil.”

Also in January, New York Democrat Governor Andrew Cuomo celebrated signing a new bill into law that allowed abortion up until the moment of birth.
