Cardi B for president?
On Instagram Thursday night, the rapper and celebrity, whose name is Belcalis Almanzar, yelled about something that many Americans wonder every tax season:
“Uncle Sam, I want to know what you’re f***ing doing with my motherf***ing money!” demanded Almanzar, who has over 20 million Instagram followers.
Almanzar’s Insta-rant has over 4.5 million plays and 35,000 comments, many of them positive.
“So you know the government is taking 40 percent of my taxes,” Almanzar said. “I want to know what you’re doing with my f***ing tax money, because I’m from New York and the streets is always dirty, we was voted the dirtiest city in America.”
Almanzar’s federal income taxes alone are just under 40 percent. Adding New York’s state and city taxes brings it to well north of that.
She’s correct that New York was recently named the dirtiest city in America. Using litter and pest data, the BusyBee cleaning service ranked New York tops in the country, ahead of Los Angeles.
There’s no indication that Cardi B is interested in politics, but if she decides to run for office, she has a ready-made campaign slogan from this video:
“What is y’all n****** doing with my f***ng money?”
