The U.S. Army halted its multi-million dollar advertising campaign over the weekend after Jonathan Majors, the campaign’s featured actor, was arrested for allegedly attacking a woman.

The Army paused the “Be All You Can Be” campaign on Sunday after Majors was arrested on charges of strangulation, assault, and harassment, according to Army Times.

“The U.S. Army is aware of the arrest of Jonathan Majors and we are deeply concerned by the allegations surrounding his arrest,” said a spokesperson for the Army Enterprise Marketing Office. “While Mr. Majors is innocent until proven guilty, prudence dictates that we pull our ads until the investigation into these allegations is complete.”

Majors was arrested after the New York Police Department (NYPD) responded to an alleged domestic violence call on Saturday evening.

“A preliminary investigation determined that a 33-year-old male was involved in a domestic dispute with a 30-year-old female,” an NYPD statement said. “The victim informed police she was assaulted. Officers placed the 33-year-old male into custody without incident. The victim sustained minor injuries to her head and neck and was removed to an area hospital in stable condition.”

The statement added that the actor was arrested on charges of strangulation, assault, and harassment.

Majors’ team said that the actor had “done nothing wrong.”

“We look forward to clearing his name and clearing this up,” Majors’ team added.

Majors, whose career has been on a meteoric rise over the last year, stars in two films currently in movie theaters, “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” and “Creed III.” In addition to the indie film “Magazine Dreams,” likely to be released later this year, Majors is set to play an increasingly important role as the primary antagonist, Kang the Conquerer, in the Marvel film and TV universe.

TMZ reported that “unnamed law enforcement sources” informed them that Majors and his girlfriend were embroiled in an argument during a taxi ride. The outlet also reported that Majors had been released from police custody.
