The man who destroyed Trump’s star, Jamie Otis, spoke to Deadline, said he initially wanted to remove the star, auction it off, and donate the proceedings to women who have accused Trump of sexually assaulting them. Trump’s star was defaced with a reverse swastika last January. In June, a mute sign was painted on the star; in July an L.A. street artist calling himself Plastic Jesus mocked Trump’s rhetoric of building a wall between the U.S. and Mexico by circumscribing the star with a tiny wall topped by tiny razor wire.
