Donald Trump Jr. slammed Democrat House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff on Wednesday over the bombshell New York Times report that revealed that Schiff had advanced knowledge of the allegations from a CIA whistleblower before the person filed an official whistleblower complaint.
“The early account by the future whistle-blower … explains how Mr. Schiff knew to press for the complaint when the Trump administration initially blocked lawmakers from seeing it,” The New York Times reported. “Before going to Congress, the C.I.A. officer had a colleague convey his accusations to the agency’s top lawyer. Concerned about how that avenue for airing his allegations was unfolding, the officer then approached a House Intelligence Committee aide, alerting him to the accusation against Mr. Trump.”
President Donald Trump responded to the revelation by stating at a news conference: “It shows that Adam Schiff is a fraud. … So the whistleblower, according to this report, met with a member of Adam Schiff’s staff. … I think it is a scandal. I’d go a step further, I think he probably helped write it. That’s what the word is.”

“Adam Schiff submitted a subpoena for the very document that he helped create, and stood in front of the American people and claimed he had no knowledge of this whistleblower,” Trump Jr. continued. “The President is right, Adam Schiff should resign in disgrace, but the very least, he should recuse himself. He has lied to Americans and manipulated the media from the very beginning.”
