TBS comedienne Samantha Bee publicly thanked SCOTUS nominee Brett Kavanaugh’s accuser this week, saying she “did America a favor.”
As if she were able to look into the souls of Kavanaugh’s supporters, Bee said that those who believe Kavanaugh did not sexually assault Christine Blasey Ford at a pool party 35 years ago were “confessing to something themselves” and that it’s “never OK to rape somebody.”
Not a single person of merit in America has suggested that what Kavanaugh is alleged to have done is okay; they have only looked at the scant evidence in support of Blasey Ford’s claim to weigh its credibility.
“Christine Blasey Ford didn’t ask for any of this sh*t,” Bee proclaimed. “She did America a favor by coming forward with extremely relevant background information about an important job applicant.”
Bee, who infamously called Ivanka Trump a “feckless c**t,” echoes words that were spoken by feminist comedienne Sarah Silverman who also says that Blasey Ford’s accusation is “brave.”
“I think she’s doing something really brave,” Silverman exclaimed. “And now in this time when we should be thoroughly vetting Kavanaugh, we are vetting her. Someone who is exposing her personal life at the expense of her entire life. And she’s OK with it because that’s the code she lives by.”
