On Monday, Piers Morgan, who seemingly still nurses his wounds from his iconic debacle of a defeat at the hands of Ben Shapiro in 2013 over gun control, a defeat that inevitably led to his exit from CNN, tried to get into another battle with Shapiro on Twitter, this time not only over the Second Amendment, but the Constitution itself. Morgan’s foray into debating territory wound up much the same as his 2013 effort as Shapiro fired back with a fusillade of tweets after Morgan provoked him.
The one-sided battle was precipitated after Morgan made this ignorant statement:
That prompted this response, with a reference to the 2013 debate in which Shapiro handed Morgan a copy of the Constitution, which Morgan referred to as a “silly little book”:
Morgan, apparently haunted by 2013, decided to launch a personal attack on Shapiro, who wasn’t even involved at this point.
