On Sunday, Abbas Hamideh, who attended the swearing-in ceremony of anti-Semitic representative Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) and refers to Israel as a “terrorist entity” while frequently attacking Jews by equating Zionists to Nazis, led a protest that started at the White House and finished outside the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) policy conference.
Hamideh, who favors the so-called “right to return” for Arabs claiming they originally lived in Israel, a policy that would destroy the Jewish state, cried, “We are not here to be lovey-dovey with the progressive Zionists, because a progressive Zionist is like a progressive Nazi! There’s no difference between a progressive Zionist and a progressive Nazi member!”
The Washington Free Beacon reported, “In addition to chanting about the support of the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement, which wages economic boycotts on the Jewish state and its people, one of the other organizers associated with Hamideh chanted, ‘Israel is a terrorist state.’”
As the Anti-Defamation League notes, after the Pittsburgh massacre in which 13 Jews were killed by a white supremacist, and efforts were made to build bridges between communities, Hamideh tweeted, “I don’t find Muslims holding hands with Zionist congregations amusing. Those engaged in such activities are betraying the Palestinian martyrs falling daily. It is treason to the Palestinian struggle.” He also tweeted, “You’re not standing with Jews when you stand with Zionists. That’s like standing with the KKK after a church attack.” He answered a tweet that anti-Semitism, including anti-Semitism from Hamas, should be met with more vigilance, by tweeting, “Your whining statement will not intimidate legitimate criticism against Zionist terrorism in Occupied Palestine. israel [sic]remains an illegal racist and supremacist entity, and we will fight it until the end. You have no future in Palestine. Get out!”
In January, Hamideh tweeted, “Criminal Zionism will eventually die just like Nazism. No racist and supremacist political ideology should maintain itself. This is why you’re covert and financed by @AIPAC.”
In November 2016, Hamideh tweeted, “Israel does not have a right to exist. The terrorist entity is illegal and has no basis to exist other than a delusional ISIS like ideology.”
Hamideh is a big fan of the leader of the terrorist group Hezbollah, which is determined to eradicate Israel. In August 2016, Hamideh tweeted in reference to Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, “Happy Birthday to the most honorable Arab-Muslim leader of our lifetime.”
After Tlaib’s swearing-in ceremony, Hamideh tweeted a picture of himself with Tlaib as he held a painting of her, writing, “I was honored to be at Congresswoman @RashidaTlaib swearing in ceremony in #Detroit and private dinner afterward with the entire family, friends and activists across the country. #Palestine #TweetYourThobe #RashidaTlaib.”
Hamideh apparently has a convivial relationship with anti-Semite Women’s March leader Linda Sarsour; he suggested that the Jews of Israel’s real home is in Brooklyn or Poland, where the infamous death camps of the Nazis like Auschwitz, Majdanek, Chelmno, Belzec, Sobibor and Treblinka II were. Sarsour responded to leave Brooklyn, from where she hails, out of the equation, leaving only Poland, where three million Jews were murdered by the Nazis, as their real home.
Hamideh tweeted, “Another Zionist troll tweets me saying you have your ‘Palestine’ it’s ‘Gaza.’ Umm yeah you have ‘israel’ it’s called Brooklyn and Poland.”
Sarsour responded, “hey hey, leave Brooklyn out of this.”
