Now that Tom Brady’s Super Bowl jersey has been recovered, sports analysts are having a field day dissecting exactly how the crime went down.

As reported yesterday, the alleged thief, Martin Mauricio Ortega, who was a director of the Mexican newspaper, Diario La Prensa, is clearly seen walking into the locker room at a time in which he was not supposed to be there. According to The Mexican Editorial Organization, which publishes Ortega’s newspaper, the sticky-handed media head resigned last Tuesday.
Along with Brady’s jersey from Super Bowl 50, his stolen jersey from Super Bowl 49 and a Denver Broncos helmet, believed to belong to star pass-rusher Von Miller, also from Super Bowl 50, were found.
In the video, Ortega is seen entering the locker room pretending to be part of Patriot’s coach Bill Belichick’s entourage while he covers his press pass with his tie. He is then spotted leaving the locker room with a black bag under his arm which has the jersey in it. While other members of the press are using that time to get interviews with players and coaches, Ortega makes a beeline for the exit and gives a quick look over his shoulder to see if anyone is following.
